Medicare supplement plans vs. Medicare advantage plans

05:27
-------- Click link ----- http://Medigaplist.com Medicare supplement plans vs. Medicare advantage plans are a typical topic that people research for while using Google or Bing. In this video I talk about the difference between Medigap plans and Medicare advantage plans. Medicare supplement plans vs. Medicare advantage plans can be a confusing comparison because you are really talking about oranges and apples. Medicare supplement plans are always labeled with a letter like Medicare supplemental plan F or Medicare supplement plan G. The Medicare advantage plans will not have a letter label unless someone points out they are also called Medicare Part C. Medicare supplements vs. Medicare advantage plans are easy to compare because of the upfront payment or out of pocket costs when you use them. A Medicare supplemental plan F doesn't have any out of pocket costs and a Medicare advantage has all the out of pocket costs. The Medicare supplemental plan F might have a premium every month of $200 but doesn't have a co pay or deductible cost. The Medicare advantage plan might have a "0" premium but has an out of pocket cost of $6700 a year. Medigap plans are always known to be better coverage with no networks and the Medicare advantage plans are always cheaper. When you speak to AARP or Humana ask them if it is a Medigap plan F you are looking at or a Medicare advantage plan HMO or PPO. click here http://www.medigaplist.com Medicare and diabetes are major topics in this country today. Medicare supplemental insurance does cover doctors visits and hospital stay for things due to having diabetes. The biggest subject to talk about is Medicare Part D. There is so many out of pocket costs that people have with Medicare Part D including the Novolog pen, and other diabetes drugs. It is very important that we talk about what is covered with Medicare part a and b and also medicare Part D. Obesity is a major problem in this country and the number of people with diabetes whether type 1 or type 2 diabetes. Please take a look at our website for more information on drug plans such as AARP, Humana, and Silverscripts. What is a deductible for health insurance coverage?

03:12
-- click here- https://Medigaplist.com Medicare insurance coverage deductible is what the company makes the consumer pay before the plan starts paying for your service. Medicare part D can also charge a deductible. What is a deductible for health insurance? There are a lot of different angles for insurance companies. When you purchase your health insurance plan they have what they call a premium. This is what the insurance company charges you to have the health insurance coverage. Let's say the health insurance premium is $200. Many people think this is all they will have to pay and the rest of the coverage is free. This is not the case in many instances. Premium is what you pay the company each month to carry the plan. The deductible is what you would pay before the company would start paying for your coverage and the co-payment is what you pay out of pocket when you go to the doctor or hospital each time. If you had a $3000 deductible and a co-pay of $50 for each time you went to the hospital, you pay the 1st $3000 and then pay $50 each time you go to the doctor. tags: AARP drug plan, Actos, Alabama, Alaska, Altocor, Amturnide, Anthem, Arizona, Arkansas, Avandia, Aviane, best Part D, best plans, best plans in Colorado, best rates, Black Forest, Boulder, Broomfield county, California, cheapest plan F, Chipita Park, Cigna, Cimarron Hills, Co Springs, Colorado, Colorado Springs, Connecticut, Crestor, Delaware, Delta Dental, Denver, drug plans, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Heartland F, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, inexpensive plan G, Iowa, Jefferson County, Kansas, Kentucky, lisinopril, choices, companies, list of Medigap insurance companies, list of Medigap insurance costs, list of Medigap insurance plans, insurance rates, list of Medigap plans, list of Medigap prices, list of Medigap rates, Louisiana, lovastatin, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Medicare, Medicare beneficiaries, Medicare PArt A, Medicare Part B, Medicare part C, Medicare Part D, Medicare Plan C, Medicare Plan F, Medicare Plan G, Medicare Plan N, Medicare supplement plan A, Medicare supplement plan B, Medicare supplement plan C, Medicare supplement plan F, Medicare supplement plan G, Medicare supplement plan J, Medicare supplement plan N, Medigap, Medigap companies, Medigap insurance costs, Medigap list, Medigap plan A, Medigap plan B, Medigap plan C, Medigap plan D, Medigap plan F, Medigap plan G, Medigap plan K, medigap plan L, Medigap plan M, Medigap plan N, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Mutual of Omaha, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Obama, Obamacare, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Pueblo, Pueblo County Colorado, Rhode Island, simvastatin, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tekamlo, Tekturna, Tennessee, Texas, Utah Vermont, Valturna, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming, Gap drug plans, Marcia, simvastain, West Chester, Blue Bell, Media, Havertown, Newtown Square, Radnor, Villanova, Chester Springs, Highmark, Ardmore, Broomall, Pinellas, Key Biscayne, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Allentown, Erie, Reading, Scranton, Bethlehem, Lancaster, Harrisburg, Altoona, York, State College, Wilkes-Barre, Chester, Williamsport, Easton, Lebanon, Hazelton, New Castle, Johnstown, Chambersburg, McKeesport, Carlisle, Royersford

Attained age vs Community rated Medigap policies

05:58
---------------------------------- http://www.Medigaplist.com I always seem to get the question about are the plans I have community rated or attained age, when people are turning 65 years old or aging into Medicare for the first time. The very first thing I tell people are I see very few community rated plans. Almost all of the plans are attained age. Why? Because we live in an inflation based society. Prices go up, they don't stay the same. Most people going onto Medicare for the first time read the booklet that Medicare sends them and see that there are community rated and attained age plans, and from what I gather think that there are a bunch of plans to choose from with either avenue. I get the feeling that no insurance company will ever put out a community rated plan again but that is just my opinion. This question almost makes me chuckle because it reminds me of when Burger King started talking about how their burgers were flamed broiled instead of fried. People were saying they liked Burger King better because of the flamed cooked burger but it was just a marketing tactic. Medicare itself doesn't use marketing tactics; it doesn't have to because its the government. They could tell you what to do and ask you for more money at the same time. But, what they definitely do is give you massive information on government programs, such as Medicare, so that people can never say the information was not there. I guess what I'm saying is that when you read the government handbook on Medigap plans or Medicare supplemental plans in general, keep in mind that they cover all the angles of what the companies can "possibly do" under regulations. Most for profit companies are looking to do just that "make a profit". So to take a long article and make it short: Most companies are going to be attained age if not all Medigap companies. The reason for this is if they were going to sign you up at 65 years old and group you into a community rated plan with someone that is 90 years old, they would most likely lose all the people going on medicare for the first time because premiums would be so high to balance it out. With attained age they can charge cheaper rates for the younger folks who are most likely healthier (we get sicker as we age of course) and charge the older folks (80 and above) a higher rate because they are at the doctors and hospitals way more. Another question that people ask about is the prescription drug plans and how they are priced. From what I have seen, all the drug plans are priced the same for anyone of any age. They tend to get priced by the drugs you are taking. For a complete list of Medigap plans go to Medigaplist.com and compare the prices of Medicare supplement plans in the area where you live.

Medigap vs Medicare Advantage plan

03:16
-- click here- https://Medigaplist.com _____ Explanation of Medicare advantage vs Medicare Supplement/Medigap plans. Medicare advantage plans can without a doubt lower your monthly spending if you are HEALTHY! If you notice the key to that sentence is if you are healthy. Medicare Supplements are very popular with doctors because they pay their bills on time and they don't argue the cost, because they can't. Lets take a look at the comparison between the Blue Cross Medicare Advantage plan in Pennsylvania and the Aetna Medicare Supplement Plan F. One advantage plan from Blue Cross (HMO) has a zero premium. The out of pocket cost for the year could possibly be over $6500 for a year. It may cost you $20 for a doctor visit or $200 per day in the hospital etc etc. The point is it is $0 for the premium which gets everyone excited, but if you need to get a surgery done in December, it could cost you $6000 out of pocket. Also, the hospital may or may not take the Medicare Blue Cross Advantage plan. The Advantage Plan from Blue Cross that is "0″ premium is an HMO plan and some hospitals and doctors won't take it. The Medicare supplement plan F from Aetna is a Medigap plan that could cost around $150-$200 a month premium depending on if your a Male or Female, what zip code you live in etc. The difference is, the out of pocket cost for Medicare approved procedures is "0″. Also, any hospital that excepts Medicare has to except the Medigap plan F from Aetna. Also, this Medigap supplement Plan F could be from any company including, KSKJ life, Family Life, Mutual of Omaha, New Era, ANTEX, AARP, etc etc. The out of pocket cost is going to be your premium not copays and deductibles. The bottom line is do you want to pay in the front or in the back. Do you want to pay a zero premium and pay deductibles and copays, or do you want zero deductibles and copays with a higher premium. Should you choose a large Medigap company or small?

04:58
------------- http://www.medigaplist.com This video is about Medigap companies that are less known for Medicare supplement plans. These companies include KSKJ Life, CSI, Family life, Stonebridge life, etc. Medigap plans are the same for all companies. A Medigap plan F is the same for company X as it is for company Y. Why would someone who is turning 65 or going on Medicare for the first time choose a company like Cigna or Aetna that is a large company? Why would they choose KSKJ life or Family life? It really just depends on the price and service that you get from the supplemental Medigap company. Itend to believe that your Medicare broker (if Honest) can steer you in the right direction for the list of Medigap plans in your area. He also can get you a good Medicare approved prescription drug plan. Call us a Medigaplist.com or search for updated or prices there.

Basics of Medicare turning 65

02:46
----- click here- https://Medigaplist.com Medicare basics for people going on Medicare or turning 65 years old. So many people ask the question, What are the steps that I take when I first go on Medicare. As an agent, my client base consists of around 90% people who are just entering Medicare. Why? People turning 65 and aging into Medicare need someone they can trust. They want to know, should I get an AARP (United Healthcare) Medicare supplement with aN Aetna prescription drug plan? Should I get a Blue Cross Blue Shield Medicare Advantage plan if I live in Pennsylvania or California or Florida? Is New Jersey a good state to look at medigap plan F or is it too expensive? At Medigaplist.com we help you answer all of those questions. How do you make money if you are not charging me more than the companies charge? If Aetna charges $125 a month for a plan how can you charge the same amount and make money? The answer is simple. We service so many seniors that Aetna gives us a commission and doesnt charge you. Why you ask? Because if they didn't give us a commission, they would lose business to another company such as Gerber life or Family life because so many clients come to us. Why do they come to us? Because we are honest and trustworthy. I tell my clients, shop around. If you can find a better deal, I am going to be very confused, because it doesnt happen. So, what do you do when you first get on Medicare. The chart tells you, but besides call us I would... 1. Get your Medicare A + B card. (Call SS office and ask) 2. Get a Medigap plan or advantage plan 3. The future of Medicare supplemental insurance online

06:28
--------------------------------- http://www.medigaplist.com We all know everything we be online in 50 years. EVERYTHING! What about now? What about in 10 years? Medigaplist.com is going towards the future and maybe some other companies will follow or maybe they are content with how there business is prospering. The major shift that I see in the Medigap industry is online production. So far, there are many companies who do not allow customers to sign up for a medigap plan online at their website. This is a good thing for the Medicare supplement agent, so far. Also, companies really don't have a strong presence in the informational side or Medicare and Medigap plans. So where is the industry for Medigap plans going? At Medigap list we see a number of things happening in the future. Here is a list Problem: 90% of the people aging into Medicare will search online for a list of Medigap companies, plans and prices to compare rates and shop for themselves. Lets face it, baby boomers want to do their shopping on their own before speaking to someone. I should know because I've been helping people in this market for a long time. They want to "come to the table" with some knowledge before speaking to an agent, and that is understandable. Solution: Medigaplist.com has everything you need online. We have prices, plans and quotes online. We do presentations online, and you can sign up online. The whole shooting match is online. Problem: People don't want you at their home anymore. They can't trust people they don't know, they're scared to let strangers in. Solution: At Medigaplist.com we have online presentations that we will do for people with slides and a live video. The customer isn't on video, we are. Customers love this because they are meeting with a live person but it's not in a stiff office or at their home. No one wants someone in their house begging them for business anymore. And we show our state licenses so people know we are a legitimate business. Problem: Calling every different company and asking for qoutes is time consuming and a waste of time. People don't want to call the neighboring company and ask for quotes and wait for hours on the phone or feel obligated to wait for an agent to quote them on 1 company. Solution: Brokering is the way to go. At Medigaplist we contract with companies and give you the exact same price as the company. How can we do this? They pay us a commission at $0 cost to you. Why? What's better paying a commission to a salary agent who works only for them or paying us if and only if we bring them business. It's a win win. Problem: People think online is unsafe and dangerous. Solution: Medigaplist is a Pennsylvania state licensed company under Koolagan insurance. If we pull any tricks, we are going to jail. Not worth it! you are safe with us. So as you can see, online Medicare supplemental policies being sold will increase by the thousands and then millions in the years to come. Why not join Medigaplist.com in the quest to be the best online customer service oriented company giving rates for Medigap policies.

Obamacare the Naked Truth

01:50
-- click here- https://Medigaplist.com Obamacare vs Medicare video. So many people believe that Obamacare will destroy Medicare but what they don't realize is that the baby boomer class going into Medicare Supplement plans is going to be huge. Medicare Plan F is an absolute beast when it comes to senior health insurance. If you want to purchase a Medigap plan and dont have sufficiant funds, look for a Medicare Advantage plan. Medicare Part D is the prescription drug plan part of Medicare. Obama care will probably not affect someone who is already 65 and on Medicare at this time. I can't say that Medicare is as good as gold but its a beast that needs feeding. As a Medicare Supplement and Medicare advantage insurance agent, many people ask me how Obama care is going to affect Medicare. I can only explain it like this. Medicare is an unfunded liability to our country. What that means to you and me is, they take everyone's paycheck and take a tax from it to fund medicare, Social Security, Medicaid, Welfare, etc etc. Medicare is great insurance. When you purchase Medicare(thats right its not free for Medicare Part B for most people) and purchase a Medigap policy, it is great insurance. The problem is our aging population aka baby boomers, is getting bigger and we need more funds. Our economy in the USA must pick up if we want to keep our elderly in good healthcare policies. Do I know what Obamacare will do to Medicare? No, No one does. But for now if you are going on Medicare, be happy it is great coverage as of now.

02:19
http://www.Medigaplist.com -------------------------------- Medigap plans can be confusing enough without throwing in the mix the Medicare advantage plans. We are approaching the Medicare Open Enrollment season and people are wondering in they should switch their Medigap plan F to a Medigap plan N. We at medigap list want to help you with all of these confusing decisions about Medicare supplemental insurance. Baby boomers, we realize you are not really seniors. AEP is finished but Medicare Advantage plans have options for SEP

02:46
http://www.medigaplist.com Even though AEP is finished people can still get on a Medicare Supplement. Medigap plans can be purchased all year round and they are great tpo look into in January or February because the AEP is completed. Some people who want to get into a special enrollment period should look in January also. Medicare Part D should be looked at in October though because changing your prescription drug plan for most people must be done in the annual enrollment period. If you want a Mutual of Omaha medicare supplement or an AARP Medicare Advantage plan give us a call. There are so many supplemental options out there for Medicare if people are aging into Medicare. Senior health insurance has so many good programs to choose from. I was at a Bravo health meeting which is also Cigna and they have great options for people on PACE or low income.

The companies realize that we sell many plans for different companies and don't want to lose out on the business. They give us a commission but your cost stays the same.

Obamacare affecting Medicare in 2014

Will Medigap plan premiums continue to increase

03:57
http://www.medigaplist.com So many people speculate about Medicare Supplement premiums. I can honestly tell you this. If someone tells you that the Medicare Advantage program will not be around in ten years they could be wrong. And if someone tells you the Original Medicare program with Medigap plans will be discontinued, they also could be wrong. We are not members of Congress. We don't know for sure. The Part D prescription drug plan could be discontinued in ten years. No one knows! My advice to anyone looking at senior health insurance would be to stay in something that you can afford and make sure you are happy with the covverage. Both Advantage plans from Medicare and Supplemental plans from Medicare are doing well financially, but times can change. If you have money and want great coverage, get a Medicare Supplement. If your have no money, get a Medicare Advantage. If your in between, make a conscious decision. If you have Medicare Part A and Medicare Part B, you will need to look at these choices. If you dont have Part B, then you are most likely not on Medicare.
