Top 10 Foods for Diabetes Control

05:38
Diabetes is a group of metabolic diseases in which there are high blood sugar levels over a prolonged period. Symptoms of high blood sugar include frequent urination, increased thirst, and increased hunger. If left untreated, diabetes can cause many serious long-term complications include heart disease, stroke, chronic kidney failure, foot ulcers, and damage to the eyes. What you eat can help you to control and fight your diabetes. Research proves that making a few key changes to your diet such as eating more produce, fewer refined carbohydrates, plenty of lean protein can help in improving your blood-sugar and cuts the risk of diabetes-related complications. Certain foods are packed with nutrients that stabilise blood sugar levels, protect your heart, and even save your vision from the damaging effects of diabetes. These top 10 foods can help you in controlling Diabetes. Spinach The American Diabetes Association calls spinach a diabetes super food and recommends that you regularly include this dark green leafy non-starchy vegetable in your diet. Besides being rich in vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals, spinach possesses a low glycemic index, which means eating it will help support healthy and stable blood glucose levels. Spinach is low in carbohydrates, containing only 0.83 grams per cup. The fact that spinach contains so few carbohydrates makes it an excellent choice on a diabetes diet. Broccoli Broccoli contains a compound called sulforaphane, which triggers several anti-inflammatory processes that improve blood sugar control and protect blood vessels from the cardiovascular damage that’s often a consequence of diabetes. Olive oil Olive oil is recognized as one of the healthiest edible oils since it contains less saturated fats. It is rich in Omega 9 and Omega 3 which help maintain the flexibility of blood vessels, allowing good blood flow. Olive oil, especially extra virgin, contains tyrosol phenolic compounds such as oleuropein and oleocanthal. These compounds are nature’s most powerful anti-oxidants. Sweet potatoes Sweet potatoes are a good carbohydrate choice for diabetics. The glycemic index of sweet potatoes is a lot lower, which is better for diabetes control, according to a 2002 article in the "American Journal of Clinical Nutrition." Eating sweet potatoes in moderate amounts will help you keep your blood sugar levels in the healthy range even if you have diabetes. Avocados Avocados are an excellent choice for people with diabetes because they are very rich in dietary fiber, vitamins, and minerals and packed with numerous health benefiting plant nutrients. Blueberries Blueberries contain both insoluble fiber (which “flushes” fat out of your system) and soluble fiber (which slows down the emptying of your stomach, and improves blood sugar control). It also contain a natural plant compound known as anthocyanins. Scientists believe these may help lower blood sugar by boosting insulin production. Tomatoes Tomatoes are an excellent source of vitamin C, vitamin A, and vitamin K. They are also a very good source of, potassium, manganese, dietary fiber, chromium, and vitamin B1. Because of their low carbohydrate content, tomatoes can play a big role in controlling blood sugar levels. The low carbohydrate content also helps lower calorie intake and can help diabetics to lose weight. Eggs Eggs are a versatile food and a great source of protein, and the American Diabetes Association considers eggs an excellent choice for people with diabetes. Cinnamon Cinnamon spice has the highest anti-oxidant strength of all the food sources in nature. Many studies show that consumption of one teaspoon cinnamon to three teaspoons a day has a positive effect on reducing blood glucose levels. It was found that the cinnamon can make your cells more sensitive to insulin. Dates Dates are a great choice for a person with diabetes as they can help control sugar cravings, and they are low on the glycemic index. The carbohydrates in dates provide instant energy, and the high fiber contained in dates is good for digestion. This sweet desert fruit is cholesterol and fat free therefore, they serve as a great snack item. Many essential disease protective minerals are also present in dates.

Dilated Cardiomyopathy

02:59
Grey's Anatomy! This is the second in our Pop Culture Cases series, where we take medical story lines from television and break open the case to get at the smooth, creamy learning inside. Today we’re talking about Denny Duquette, patient and love interest of Izzy Stevens, played by the preposterously handsome Jeffrey Dean Morgan. If you like Grey's Anatomy and its endless parade of attractive surgeons and patients, I’m sure you’ll find this episode interesting. Denny is admitted with heart failure secondary to viral myocarditis and is awaiting a heart transplant. As part of this series, we’ll be covering dilated cardiomyopathy, the condition we feel Denny is most likely suffering from. Causes of dilated cardiomyopathy include… Viral myocarditis Diabetes Alcohol Sarcoidosis Haemochromatosis Denny Duquette most likely initially presented with acute heart failure – symptoms of which include fatigue and dyspnoea – preceded by a viral prodrome. On examination we would expect him to be hypotensive with a raised JVP and bilateral basal crackles on auscultation of the chest. An echocardiogram would have most likely showed impaired ventricular systolic function. Patients do deteriorate to the extent that a heart transplant is necessary. While awaiting a transplant, a left ventricular assist device can be inserted, which assists the heart in pumping blood around the body. By cutting the wire, Izzy causes Denny to go into acute cardiogenic shock, necessitating a speedier transplant. The morality of this is very dubious. We cannot speak for other countries but she would have almost certainly been struck off by the General Medical Council (GMC) in the UK! Cardiomyopathy is an important topic and one every budding physician should know well. Hope you find this video series useful! And let us know what topics you’d like to see us cover next. It’s a pivotal organ assists flow of blood and oxygen throughout the body. Major functions of our body entirely depend on our heart and thus it is very importunate to keep heart healthy. Thus Healthy Heart Support supplement is loaded with natural ingredients with ambition to promote cardiovascular health. Heart is very complex organ in our body which has to be paid special care. But due to busy life, we don’t concentrate on our nutritious diet which is importunate to keep heart healthy rather we eat junk and high calorie food and ignorantly we keep moving on the way where we may become prey to heart disease. Therefore Healthy Heart Support provides all nutrients, vital for our healthy heart to prevent cardiovascular disease. Why is heart health important? Your heart works hard every day. Like every other muscle in your body, it needs exercise and nutrients to keep it working well, help keep your risk of CHD low and help prevent heart conditions such as angina, strokes and heart attacks. What is a risk factor? A risk factor is something that increases your chances of getting a health condition. So, the more risk factors you have for CHD, the greater your risk of developing heart problems. There are two types of risk factor: non-modifiable and modifiable. Non-modifiable risk factors can't be changed and include things like age, gender, ethnicity and family history. Modifiable risk factors, however, are things you have control over. These include: High cholesterol Smoking Being overweight Type 2 Diabetes What else can I do to take care of my heart? As well as managing the risk factors associated with CHD, there are a few other lifestyle tweaks you can make to help look after your heart. These include restricting the amount of alcohol you drink and taking steps to manage your stress levels. heart attack cholesterol heart disease cardiovascular disease heart attack symptoms heart healthy diet symptoms of a heart attack congestive heart failure heart problems heart diseases heart failure what is heart disease heart healthy foods symptoms of heart attack heart conditions coronary artery disease signs of a heart attack signs of heart attack heart surgery heart attacks congenital heart disease cardiovascular diseases ischemic heart disease what is a heart attack enlarged heart heart attack symptoms in women heart attack treatment heart diet symptoms of heart disease heart pain

Mayo Clinic Minute: The link between diabetes and pancreatic cancer

01:01
Pancreatic cancer is a leading cause of cancer deaths in the U.S. That's because the disease often lies hidden and doesn't cause symptoms until it's spread. But, for a small number of pancreatic cancer cases, one clue can help doctors find the tumor early, while it's still curable. That clue is an unexpected diagnosis of diabetes. In this Mayo Clinic Minute, reporter Vivien Williams talks to Dr. Michael Wallace about the link between pancreatic cancer and diabetes. Deadly Risk Infection for Heart Surgery Patients, CDC Warns by Life BuzzFeed | http://LifeBuzzFeed.com Thank you for watching. Please like, share, comment and subscribe our channel at http://bit.ly/Subscribe--Now for more daily videos. Issuing a warning a couple of danger of probably lethal an infection from units utilized in open-heart surgical procedure, the Facilities for Illness Management & Prevention (CDC) stated that almost 60 per cent of the 250,000 coronary heart bypass surgical procedures carried out yearly within the U. S. since 2012 concerned contaminated heater-cooler units. The so-called heater-cooler units play an important function in life-saving surgical procedures by conserving the affected person's circulating blood and inner organs at a particular temperature through the surgical procedure. The system linked by CDC to the bacterial infections is a German-made mannequin. Heart bypass surgery is often recommended as a treatment for heart disease caused by a lack of blood reaching heart muscle tissues. It is also recommended for disease of the left main coronary artery, as well as three or more vessels affected by damage caused by symptoms of high cholesterol, high blood pressure, or diabetes, among others. Prices for Heart Bypass Surgery Worldwide Cardiac care in the United States is extremely expensive and heart bypass can cost up to $130,000, depending on the amount of damage and the number of graphs being placed. The average cost is around $15,000 to $30,000. The same procedures will cost roughly $10,000 in India, and $18,500 in Singapore. In South Africa, the procedure will cost roughly $12,800. Minimally Invasive Heart Bypass Surgery Costs The cost of minimally invasive cardiac surgery may be approximately 25% less than the cost of conventional surgery. Minimally invasive heart bypass surgery average price in the U.S. is $100,000 USD, depending on the amount of damage and the number of graphs being placed. Many patients choose medical destinations like Asia or Eastern Europe where the same procedure is less pricey and at the same high standards. For example, the all inclusive cost for MIDCAB surgery in India starts from around $7,000 USD and in Poland is around $20,000 USD and it varies depending on the skill and expertise of surgeon, the medical condition category of room chosen, facility and the city chosen to get the procedure done. Reversing Diabetes with Food

Type 2 diabetes can be reversed with severe calorie restriction—whether by surgery or starvation—but can also be reversed by simply eating healthier. Subscribe to Dr. Greger’s free nutrition newsletter at https://www.nutritionfacts.org/subscribe and get a free recipe from his new HOW NOT TO DIE COOKBOOK. (All proceeds Dr. Greger receives from the sales of his books, DVDs, and speaking engagements go to support the 501c3 nonprofit that runs NutritionFacts.org.) Type 2 diabetes can be reversed with an extremely low calorie diet (see my last video: Reversing Diabetes with Surgery http://nutritionfacts.org/video/reversing-diabetes-with-surgery). And as this video shows, type 2 diabetes can be reversed with an extremely healthy diet, but is that because it was also low in calories? That’s the million dollar (death?) question that I answer in my next video: Diabetes Reversal: Is it the Calories or the Food? (http://nutritionfacts.org/video/diabetes-reversal-is-it-the-calories-or-the-food). Hold onto your hats, it’s going to be quite a doozy! I’ve touched before at the ability of healthy diets to both prevent (Plant-Based Diets and Diabetes http://nutritionfacts.org/video/Plant-Based-Diets-and-Diabetes) and treat (Plant-Based Diets for Diabetes http://nutritionfacts.org/video/plant-based-diets-for-diabetes) type 2 diabetes. It’s so exciting to be plugging in the final puzzle pieces. What about the benefits of blood sugar medications and more moderate diets? When Drugs & Diets Don't Lower Diabetes Deaths (http://nutritionfacts.org/video/when-drugs-and-diets-dont-lower-diabetes-deaths). Have a question for Dr. Greger about this video? Tingling Feet and Hands: An Early Warning of Neuropathy

03:57
Tingling in the hands and feet seems trivial but it may be an important warning symptom of peripheral neuropathy and diabetes. http://www.theveincarecentre.co.uk/contact Tingling or numbness affecting your feet may seem like a trivial symptom of no real importance. However, in this video, I will explain why this symptom may be very important with regard to your health in general and why you should not ignore it. Tingling hands, feet, or both is an extremely common and bothersome symptom. Such tingling can sometimes be entirely innocent and temporary. For example, it could result from pressure on nerves when your arm is bent under your head as you fall asleep. Or it could be from pressure on nerves when you cross your legs too long. In either case, the "pins and needles" effect -- which is usually painless -- is soon relieved by removing the pressure that caused it. In many cases, however, tingling in the hands, feet, or both can be severe, occurring at irregular times or continuously day and night. It also can accompany other symptoms. such as pain, itching, numbness, and muscle wasting. In such cases, tingling may be a sign of nerve damage. Such nerve damage is known by doctors as peripheral neuropathy because it affects nerves distant from the brain and spinal cord, often in the hands and feet. There are more than 100 different types of peripheral neuropathy. Over time, peripheral neuropathy can worsen, resulting in decreased mobility and even disability.  Diabetes is one of the most common causes of peripheral neuropathy, accounting for about a third of cases. In diabetic neuropathy, tingling and other symptoms often first develop in both feet and go up the legs, followed by tingling and other symptoms that affect both hands and go up the arms. About two-thirds of people with diabetes have mild to severe forms of nerve damage. In many cases, these symptoms are the first signs of diabetes. So here is the main point I want to make, tingling and numbness in the feet may be the first signs that you have a serious peripheral neuropathy and that you may have diabetes. Diabetes puts you at risk of heart attack, stroke, kidney failure, blindness and a long list of other serious complications. So that tingling you have could be your only warning sign of a serious complication developing elsewhere in your body. Don’t ignore this symptom and please get a check up.

So, here it is. I freely admit to being wrong.. As a heart surgeon with 25 years experience, having performed over 5,000 open-heart surgeries, today is my day to right the wrong with medical and scientific fact. The only accepted therapy was prescribing medications to lower cholesterol and a diet that severely restricted fat intake. The latter of course we insisted would lower cholesterol and heart disease. Deviations from these recommendations were considered heresy and could quite possibly result in malpractice. It Is Not Working! Despite the fact that 25% of the population takes expensive statin medications and despite the fact we have reduced the fat content of our diets, more Americans will die this year of heart disease than ever before. Statistics from the American Heart Association show that 75 million Americans currently suffer from heart disease, 20 million have diabetes and 57 million have pre-diabetes. These disorders are affecting younger and younger people in greater numbers every year. Simply stated, without inflammation being present in the body, there is no way that cholesterol would accumulate in the wall of the blood vessel and cause heart disease and strokes. Without inflammation, cholesterol would move freely throughout the body as nature intended. It is inflammation that causes cholesterol to become trapped. #heartdisease #inflammation #chronicdiseases #medications #diabetes
Diabetes Mellitus Definition

01:03
visit http://type2diabetesdestroyer.com/special/v1/ to know more Diabetes mellitus is a group of metabolic diseases characterized by hyperglycemia resulting from defects in insulin secretion, insulin action, or both. The chronic hyperglycemia of diabetes is associated with long-term damage, dysfunction, and failure of various organs, especially the eyes, kidneys, nerves, heart, and blood vessels. Several pathogenic processes are involved in the development of diabetes. These range from autoimmune destruction of the β-cells of the pancreas with consequent insulin deficiency to abnormalities that result in resistance to insulin action. The basis of the abnormalities in carbohydrate, fat, and protein metabolism in diabetes is deficient action of insulin on target tissues. Deficient insulin action results from inadequate insulin secretion and/or diminished tissue responses to insulin at one or more points in the complex pathways of hormone action. Impairment of insulin secretion and defects in insulin action frequently coexist in the same patient, and it is often unclear which abnormality, if either alone, is the primary cause of the hyperglycemia. Symptoms of marked hyperglycemia include polyuria, polydipsia, weight loss, sometimes with polyphagia, and blurred vision. Impairment of growth and susceptibility to certain infections may also accompany chronic hyperglycemia. Acute, life-threatening consequences of uncontrolled diabetes are hyperglycemia with ketoacidosis or the nonketotic hyperosmolar syndrome. Long-term complications of diabetes include retinopathy with potential loss of vision; nephropathy leading to renal failure; peripheral neuropathy with risk of foot ulcers, amputations, and Charcot joints; and autonomic neuropathy causing gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and cardiovascular symptoms and sexual dysfunction. Patients with diabetes have an increased incidence of atherosclerotic cardiovascular, peripheral arterial, and cerebrovascular disease. Hypertension and abnormalities of lipoprotein metabolism are often found in people with diabetes. The vast majority of cases of diabetes fall into two broad etiopathogenetic categories (discussed in greater detail below). In one category, type 1 diabetes, the cause is an absolute deficiency of insulin secretion. Individuals at increased risk of developing this type of diabetes can often be identified by serological evidence of an autoimmune pathologic process occurring in the pancreatic islets and by genetic markers. In the other, much more prevalent category, type 2 diabetes, the cause is a combination of resistance to insulin action and an inadequate compensatory insulin secretory response. In the latter category, a degree of hyperglycemia sufficient to cause pathologic and functional changes in various target tissues, but without clinical symptoms, may be present for a long period of time before diabetes is detected. During this asymptomatic period, it is possible to demonstrate an abnormality in carbohydrate metabolism by measurement of plasma glucose in the fasting state or after a challenge with an oral glucose load. The degree of hyperglycemia (if any) may change over time, depending on the extent of the underlying disease process (Fig. 1). A disease process may be present but may not have progressed far enough to cause hyperglycemia. The same disease process can cause impaired fasting glucose (IFG) and/or impaired glucose tolerance (IGT) without fulfilling the criteria for the diagnosis of diabetes. In some individuals with diabetes, adequate glycemic control can be achieved with weight reduction, exercise, and/or oral glucose-lowering agents. These individuals therefore do not require insulin. Other individuals who have some residual insulin secretion but require exogenous insulin for adequate glycemic control can survive without it. Individuals with extensive β-cell destruction and therefore no residual insulin secretion require insulin for survival. The severity of the metabolic abnormality can progress, regress, or stay the same. Thus, the degree of hyperglycemia reflects the severity of the underlying metabolic process and its treatment more than the nature of the process itself. Diabetes Mellitus Definition

Visceral fat and surgical results: Houston, Austin, Dallas, San Antonio

06:23
We have already discussed the health-related issues of having visceral fat. This fat accumulates around internal organs and causes multiple health issues, including inflammation, cancer, diabetes, and heart disease, among others. But the problem with this fat when it comes to surgery is that it is a unique fat that cannot be removed with liposuction. There are essentially two different types of fat when it comes to getting an hourglass shape. You have the subcutaneous tissue, which is the fat that you can grab in your belly, and then you have the deep fat, the visceral fat, which is the fat below the muscles and around the internal organs. When we gain weight, we gain weight proportionally all over the body, including in the subcutaneous fat and the deep visceral fat. The problem with visceral fat is that even when I perform liposuction, assuming that you have a lot of this fat, your belly is still going to look enlarged. Also, when the muscles are tightened during a tummy tuck, it is impossible to significantly decrease the width of your waist because the intra-abdominal space cannot be reduced due to the size of the visceral fat. The distribution of the visceral fat is unique and genetically determined. I have seen some patients who had 80% visceral fat and 20% subcutaneous fat; others have a more even distribution of both types. Patients who have mainly visceral fat are not going to be good candidates for any procedures that include enhancement of the abdomen. In essence, visceral fat is the anti-hourglass. I recommend losing weight by exercising, combining cardio and weightlifting, to diminish the visceral fat prior to surgery for a good outcome. Prof. Derek LeRoith, MD, PhD - Type 2 Diabetes Symptoms and Diagnosis

07:19
Prof. Derek Leroith, MD, PhD - shares the symptoms of Type 2 Diabetes and how it is diagnosed. If you have a strong familial history of Diabetes, you should be screened often. Fasting before a blood test to measure the sugar level isn’t always reliable when screening for diabetes. It helps to screen while fasting and then to test the glucose again after a meal. Hemoglobin A1C is also a good test for Diabetes. Common symptoms are thirst and excessive urination. Individuals with high blood pressure and abnormalities in triglycerides and HDL Cholesterol should also be screened for Diabetes as these factors often take place before Diabetes occurs. Type 2 Diabetes can lead to complications such as heart attack or stroke, so diagnosis and treatment is very important as it can help to prevent or reduce the impact. Vitamins for Erectile Dysfunction

05:12
If you are over 18, click here! http://bit.ly/2EQQkVW There are many contributing factors to impotence that may be improved by taking vitamins for erectile dysfunction. ### Common Causes for Erectile Dysfunction Erectile dysfunction is an issue for many men from all walks of life and age brackets. Knowing the possible causes can go far to curing the condition. It is important to always discuss erectile dysfunction with your doctor as it can be a symptom of a serious disease that will need medical attention. * Arteriosclerosis: This vascular disease is often found in men over 60 and is a leading cause of erectile dysfunction among 65% of them. The disease causes the arteries to harden and thus diminishes blood flow. Many factors cause this disease including smoking, diet and diabetes. * Prescription Medications: Unfortunately, our society has grown very dependent on the "quick fix" or turning to medications for every ache and pain. There are over 200 medicines that either cause or contribute to erectile dysfunction. Some medicines for depression, heart conditions and stress are some such medicines. * Diabetes: High sugar levels in the blood can cause damage to nerves as well as blood vessels. Diabetes is arguably the highest cause for erectile dysfunction. Besides the mentioned ailments there are others that can cause erectile dysfunction, such as venous leaks, hormone imbalances, psychological and neurological conditions and the rare Peryonie's Disease. ### All Natural Herbs, Minerals and Vitamins for Erectile Dysfunction After discussing the issue with your doctor, consider changing your eating habits to help with impotence. Adding the following vitamins for erectile dysfunction to your supplement plan may help in improving the situation. * Vitamin A: An essential vitamin when it comes to the regulation of the sex hormone progesterone, which is important when looking for the optimum in sexual health. * Thiamin B1: This vitamin is incredibly important in the optimization of nerve and energy transmission throughout your body. Vitamin B will help to improve your circulation and stamina. * Vitamin C: When taking vitamin C, you are helping to produce hormones needed for a healthy sex life and fertility. Vitamin C helps to increase sperm count and their mobility, strengthens capillaries as well as veins and reduces blood cholesterol. * Vitamin E: Often referred to as the "sex vitamin", vitamin E is also considered an anti-aging antioxidant. It helps to protect the membranes of the cells from free-radical damage. It also promotes the creation of prostaglandins, hormones important to a healthy sex drive. You can get those vitamins from foods. In order to treat your ED problem and achieve stronger erections, you also may try some natural and easy method, such as this guide ( http://bit.ly/2nbFLSI ).

Opinion on Diabetes Treatment- Nadipathy

01:14
WHAT IS DIABETES: It is the condition that body cannot balance the glucose levels due to lack of energy to pancreas (or) the body cannot utilize insulin to maintain glucose homeostasis. It was first known in the 17th century, later it became a dangerous devil to human life. Again Diabetes is differentiated in to two types’ diabetes mellitus and diabetes insipidus. Diabetes mellitus is mainly caused by deficiency of insulin due to either lack of energy in pancreas (or) any auto-immune disease. While diabetes insipidus is caused by defect in secretion of vasopressin (Anti diuretic hormone) which is secreted from pituitary gland present in hypothalamus. Its function is to reabsorb water from distal tubules in the kidney and due to this it control the concentration of urine. But its deficiency caused increased water excretion through urine even in low intake of water. Diabetes mellitus and diabetes insipidus are unrelated, although they have similar signs and symptoms like excessive thirst and excessive urination. Diabetes mellitus is more common than the Diabetes insipidus. DIABETES MELLITUS: There are mainly three types of Diabetes mellitus. Nadipathy: Nadipathy introduced new treatment to all diabetes without using any medicines. It is the natural treatment, that re-strength the pancreas to produce insulin in our body. We are using 100 ancient therapies to enhance the pancreas function normally. Nadipathy treated the subtle body; it will make physical body healthy. Nadipathy treated more than 15,000 diabetes patients without using any medicines. We treated hereditary patients to stop the chance to get diabetes. In our research we find that due to lack of energy to pancreas, it does not work properly to produce insulin in the body. So we are giving sufficient energy to pancreas through certain Nadi’s present in our body. When the body becomes weak due to any sudden incident or due to food habits or due to changes in the nature. If any one of the Nadi not working properly it multiplies gradually ( i.e. 1, 2, 4,8, 16, 32, 64, 128 .. .. .. ) .decreases its energy .That reflects gradually In the subtle body and it change as disease on the Physical body.Modern Doctors can recognize diseases only at this stage. Our body is making up with 72,000 Nadi’s, all the Nadi’s are inter-linked to every organ function. If there is any blockage to such Nadi, it does not work properly. So those organs get lack of energy to function normally. Before to the treatment, Nadipathy treats on the root cause of particular Nadi blockage through pulse diagnosis. We treat diabetes related problems like weak eye sight, heart problems, kidney problems, surgery wounds, neurological problems etc... But it depends up on the patient’s subtle body. The treatment results can see within 5 – 16 sittings. Once the problem is cured with our treatment, the diabetes does not appear in their lifetime. It is the safe treatment who needs to cure the diabetes problem. Diabetes Drugs that Reduce Cardiovascular Disease and Death: Top 10 Medical Innovations 2017

01:12
Nearly a decade ago, a wave of new diabetes drugs hit the market with promises of lowering blood sugar. They fell far short of blunting the scariest statistics for type 2 diabetes patients: Half will die from complications from cardiovascular disease. On their 65th birthdays, the odds go up to 70 percent. In 2016, a couple of new medications began dropping the mortality rates considerably. Empaglifozin proved to modify the progression of heart disease by working with the kidney while liraglutide has a comprehensive effect on many organs. Given the positive results, experts predict 2017 will mark a complete shift in the lineup of medicines prescribed for diabetes patients, as well as a new wave of research into new avenues to target type 2 diabetes and its comorbidities. With the contribution of these new drugs, more patients will live to see the benefits.

Studies also show how patients are able to fix insulin resistance, reduce neuropathy pain, prevent blindness, amputations and other diabetes problems. These techniques have been used successfully by tens of thousands of people in over 40 countries allowing them to lower their need for drugs and injections. cold-hard-truths-about-diabetes Countless studies from scientists and doctors all over the world have proven that people with type 2 diabetes can normalize blood sugar, increase insulin sensitivity, reduce neuropathy pain, lower risk of blindness, amputations and be taken off all diabetes drugs and insulin injections. diabetes study scientific findings Scientifically proven diabetes study The cold hard truth: By living with diabetes and by taking your prescribed medication, you are under the constant daily threat of dying of a heart attack, stroke, kidney failure, succumbing to blindness, amputations, neuropathy, hypertension, nerve system disease, high cholesterol, depression, and falling into a coma. Those are just the side-effects of living with diabetes. Now lets add the side-effects from the drugs that are supposed to "help" you; hepatitis, liver problems, acidosis leading to death within hours, heart attacks, stroke, increased risk of cancer, weakened immune system, vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, heart failure, etc. Diabetes facts you can't ignore Losing Weight Will NOT Cure Your Diabetes: From the day you’ve been diagnosed, everyone has been saying the same old thing: “lose weight, lose weight, lose weight.” veggies Guess what? Shedding a few pounds isn’t going to hurt (it’s actually quite beneficial) but weight loss by itself is no cure! Scientists discovered that it's actually the food you eat than can make or break diabetes. A large study done at the University of California, Los Angeles discovered that "contrary to common belief, Type 2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome can be reversed solely through lifestyle changes." And these people didn't have to lose tons of weight: "the changes occurred in the absence of major weight loss". Type 2 Diabetes Is Not a Life Sentence: Most doctors only talk about diabetes treatment, diabetes management and diabetic control using drugs, pills, injections and surgery. When powerful, drug-free treatment methods exist! Diabetes Drugs Are Extremely Dangerous: Not only are diabetes drugs ineffective at attacking the root cause of your diabetes, they are extremely dangerous too. Over 100,000 people die every single year from drugs properly prescribed by their doctor. Not only could your diabetes kill you, but the drugs you are taking could take you down any day too. Diabetes drugs artificially adjust your blood sugar, they don't do anything to address the root cause of your disease. They are only made to 'treat' and 'manage'. So you still live with the constant daily threat of heart attacks, stroke, kidney failure, limb amputations, dementia, hypertension, nerve system disease, high cholesterol, depression, coma and blindness. Do you really want to continue down this path?

The Vagus Nerve and Autoimmunity

03:50
Wondering what you can do outside of immunosuppresants and surgery for your autoimmune condition? The vagus nerve is a nerve that originates in the lower part of brain stem. It innervates many areas of the body including the abdominal cavity and a portion of the autonomic nervous system. It plays a large role in controlling heart rate, acid secretion in the stomach, spleen innervation, and enzyme secretion. When this nerve is activated it releases acetylcholine, which will tell immune system cells to de-activate. This will reduce total body immune activation and inflammation. A study showed that if someone with an autoimmune condition is able to activate this nerve, it can get rid of their symptoms especially those with lupus, psoriasis, and rheumatoid arthritis. In our office, we know that there are ways to activate this nerve without invasive surgery. How does this nerve become weak in the first place? Largely due to stress.
