David Goes to School

04:26
David, the out-of-control monster-child is back. In David Goes to School video, young David shows up late to class, , chews gum in class, yells answers out of turn, pulls pigtails, stares out the window, cuts in line, has a food fight ("I don't care who started it!" says the teacher), lingers at recess, and draws on his desk. Colorful, hilarious, childlike video scenes examine our strangely appealing demon-boy at eye level, which is especially disgusting as David stretches an enormous mass of bubble gum from his pointy-toothed maw. After an intense day of exuberant misbehaving, however, he stays after school and washes all the desks until they sparkle. The day ends with a gold star and a pat on the head... something that any child (or adult) would find satisfying. Buy this book on Amazon: http://amzn.to/2kKMgYm

Read Aloud Book: The Market Mystery ~ Where Food Comes From, a Read Along Book for Kids

18:46
Where does food come from? Enjoy this read aloud / read along book from Dairy Council of California (http://www.HealthyEating.org) that solves a "market mystery." Emma & Robby go on adventure with store proprietor Olivia to explore vegetable farms and ranches as well as dairy cattle, compost, and other facts about agriculture and farming. It's an excellent vocabulary building book for children, helping them understand the five food groups as well as where food comes from - from farm to farm, from farm to city, and from farm to market. Children will have fun solving the market mystery, as well as exploring agriculture. It ends with a family-style meal, and discusses mixed foods that contain ingredients from multiple food groups. It is an excellent reading and vocabulary building tool for first, second, and third graders as well as later grades that are exploring food, nutrition and agriculture. The five food groups as defined in MyPlate are discussed in detail. The book is appropriate for children in first grade, second grade, or third grade as well as kindergarten. Market Mystery storybook can be enjoyed on its own or as part of free nutrition lesson plans for California teachers found at http://www.HealthyEating.org/HC2 Want more activities or reading recommendations for teaching nutrition? How to teach reading with phonics - 1/12 - The Alphabet & Letter Sounds - Learn English Phonics!

06:09
http://www.englishanyone.com/power-learning/ Learn to express yourself confidently in fluent English and sound like a native speaker with our FREE Power Learning video course! The Sounds of English, a FREE, comprehensive series of 12 videos, teaches phonics and pronunciation to non-native and beginning native learners of English. Learn to spell, read and pronounce English like native speakers with these easy lessons. Great for self-study, or the whole family! Build confidence and get fluent faster! Lesson 1 - The Sounds of English Learn the alphabet, short vowel and consonants sounds, and begin developing great pronunciation. Welcome to The Sounds of English with EnglishAnyone.com! The three primary colors are red, yellow and blue. If you mix these colors, you can create a whole rainbow of new colors. The English alphabet has 26 letters. Mix them correctly and you will be able to spell, read and say the more than 40 different sounds of English. English can be confusing! We know! Why do some letters make different sounds? "On" becomes "one." "One" becomes "phone." And why do different letters make the same sounds? "Newt" and "suit" both share the same "oo" sound. Native speakers can also get confused. We misspell words all the time! But don't worry; If we learned English, anyone can! If you watch these simple, fun lessons, you will learn new words, improve your pronunciation, gain the confidence to speak, and start getting fluent! Because we want you to learn quickly, you won't see every English letter and sound combination in this video series. But, we'll show you some words that break the rules and you'll be learning more than enough to teach yourself English. Now, sit back, relax and start learning! Great pronunciation begins with mastering the alphabet! Letter sounds change, but letter names do not. So, let's learn the alphabet first. Here we go. Please repeat after me. (Repeat alphabet letters) Now, let's forget the names of the letters and learn some sounds. The sounds of English are like music. The vowel sounds are the melody of English. The vowels are A, E, I, O, U, and sometimes Y. Vowels can make many sounds, but we will teach you the short vowel sounds first. Please repeat the short vowel sounds. (Repeat short vowel sounds) Very good! The other letters of the alphabet are the consonants. These sounds are like the beat in the music of English. ("tuh," "kuh," "sh," "ch") Consonants also make many sounds, but you will learn the short consonants sounds first. You'll hear two sounds for the letters C and G. The hard C sounds like this (kuh). The soft C sounds like this (sss). The hard G sounds like this (guh). The soft G sounds like this (juh). Usually, if the letters A, O or U follow the letters C or G, then C and G make their hard sounds. If the letters E or I follow the letters C and G, then C and G make their soft sounds. Please repeat the short consonant sounds. (Repeat short consonant sounds) Great job! Review this lesson any time! In lesson two, we'll start building words! Articles - a, an & the - English Grammar lesson

11:07
Articles - a, an & the - English Grammar lesson Take the quiz - http://www.learnex.in/articles-a-an-the/ The 3 articles in English are a, an and the. The learner has to decide noun-by-noun which one of the articles to use. In fact, there are 4 choices to make, because sometimes no article is necessary. Native-speakers, of course, use the articles correctly without thinking. English learners, on the other hand, need to have some guidelines for making the right choice - particularly those learners whose own language does not have articles. The guidelines that follow in this lesson should help ESL students to a basic understanding of English article use. The words a, an and the are known as articles. • We use an before words that begin with vowels (a,e,i,o,u). E.g. I found an orange boat. However there are few exceptions like the words honest and hour. In the words honest and hour the alphabet h is silent and therefore the letter o becomes the first alphabet of the word and hence we use the article an. E.g. Mr. Smith is an honest man. I will be with you in an hour. We use a before words that begin with consonants (all the letters of the alphabet except the vowels). E.g. Bumble is a baby elephant. • We use the before words that we have already spoken about. E.g. I bought an apple. The apple is very sweet.

I'm very big indeed. Life on earth depends on me. I am the Sun. I am Mercury. I'm the closest planet to the Sun. I'm a ball of iron -- I have no moons. I am Mercury. I am Venus. I'm the same size as the Earth but I spin the other way and much more slowly. I have no water -- I am Venus. I am the Earth. The place where we all live. There is land and lots of sea so I look blue. I have a moon. I am the Earth. I am Mars. I'm a rocky, red planet. My mountains are the highest in our solar system. I have 2 moons. I am Mars. I am Jupiter. I'm a gas giant. I'm the biggest and I spin the fastest. I have the biggest moon. I am Jupiter. I am Saturn. I'm a gas giant. My rings are made of ice. Titan is my biggest moon. I am Saturn. I am Uranus. I'm an icy gas giant. I'm the coldest planet in our solar system. And I have rings made of dust. I am Uranus. I am Neptune. I'm an icy gas giant. I'm the farthest planet from the sun. I have many storms. I am Neptune. We are The Solar System.

How to Make an Attractive City

14:21
We've grown good at making many things in the modern world - but strangely the art of making attractive cities has been lost. Here are some key principles for how to make attractive cities once again. If you like our films, take a look at our shop (we ship worldwide): https://goo.gl/fwFNPV FURTHER READING “Cities are a big deal. We pretty much all have to live in them. We should try hard to get them right. So few cities are nice, very few out of many thousands are really beautiful; embarrassingly the more appealing ones tend to be old, which is weird because we’re mostly much better at making things now...” You can read more on this and other topics on our blog TheBookofLife.org at this link: https://goo.gl/6wYBGc MORE SCHOOL OF LIFE Our website has classes, articles and products to help you think and grow: https://goo.gl/RWcyzt Watch more films on CAPITALISM in our playlist: http://bit.ly/TSOLcapitalism Do you speak a different language to English?
