Allergy Season 2018: Worst Cities to Visit, Live In For Allergy Sufferers

03:25
It’s officially May, and, as the saying goes, the April showers helped bring May flowers. And with those flowers came allergy season. Pretty much everywhere across the United States, flowers are blooming and trees are sprouting new leaves, and both are bringing an abundance of pollen. But people in some cities are more likely to experience allergy symptoms, like runny noses, congestion and itchy watery eyes, than in others.Five cities across the country were named the “most challenging places to live with spring allergies” by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA). The cities that top the list and take the No. 5 spot are both in Texas. McAllen was ranked the most challenging to live in, with San Antonio in fifth place. In second place was Louisville, Kentucky, followed by Jackson, Mississippi, in third place and Memphis, Tennessee, in fourth. The ranking is based on the pollen and mold counts, the amount of allergy medication used there and the availability of the board-certified allergists in the area, the AAFA said. McAllen residents and visitors there encountered the city’s above-average pollen and mold as well as fewer available allergists.Recommended Slideshows5150 Best-Selling Albums in U.S. History51In Pictures: The 50 Most Powerful Military Forces in the World51In Pictures: Top 50 U.S. Cities Ranked by Quality of Life And Average SalaryFor those whose city didn’t make the list, the AAFA also provided regional rankings of cities. Providence, Rhode Island, was named the most challenging city for allergy sufferers in the Northeast, and Las Vegas the most challenging for those in the West. It’s likely that allergy seasons will get only worse in the future, according to the National Climate Assessment. A full report of the pollen and mold scores, along with other factors the AAFA considered, is available with a list of 100 cities across the country, including New York, at No. 25; Los Angeles, 66; and Miami, 29. All three of those cities are worse off this year than they were in 2016, the report shows.

I suffered from an upset stomach for most of my childhood, and was deemed "lactose intolerant" at a young age. But, once high school began, I was getting too sick to just avoid dairy. Upon my diagnosis, I began experimenting with my diet, in addition to taking over a dozen prescription drugs for my illness. I found myself eating the "white diet" for almost six years, which consisted of mostly fiberless, processed foods such as white bread, processed meat, egg whites, and sugary cereals. This diet allowed me to live my life outside of the bathroom, but did not aid in healing. Additionally, I developed chronic migraines, debilitating allergies, depression, and anxiety. Around age 19, I began experimenting again with my diet, and tried to incorporate more healthy foods. I introduced vegetables and fruits into my diet, and started eliminating highly processed foods. Through this journey, I stumbled upon a whole foods diet, leading to veganism eight months later. One month after going vegan, I found Fully Raw Kristina on YouTube, and binge watched her videos. The next morning, I woke up and ate bananas for breakfast, and have been a happy frugivore since. It’s been over two years now! This lifestyle shift allowed me to get off all prescription drugs, and be completely symptom free! The fruit-based vegan lifestyle has helped me turn a negative diagnosis into a positive lifestyle change. Through this journey, I have manifested my dream life of optimal health and happiness.

15 Ways to Get Rid of DUST MITES Quickly

06:06
House dust mites are tiny creatures, about a quarter of a millimetre long. They live off human skin scales which have been partially digested by moulds and thrive in humid environments. Mites are found in bedding, carpets, soft furnishings and clothing. In people allergic to dust mite, it is often not the mite itself but proteins in their droppings which cause the allergy. Each mite produces about 20 of these waste droppings every day and the droppings continue to cause allergic symptoms even after the mite has died. House dust mite allergy is very common and is associated with asthma, eczema and perennial allergic rhinitis. A significant amount of exposure to house dust mite allergen happens in the bed, so taking precautions in the bedroom by using allergy-proof covers on bedding, washing it regularly can sometimes help, although clinical trials suggest that multiple measures need to be taken, possibly including the use of chemicals called acaricides, in order to see an effect. However, remember that dust mite allergen is found in all rooms of the house, on the floor and in soft furnishings, not just in the bedroom. Measures to avoid house dust mite will lower, but do not totally remove, dust mite allergens. Often, this will be sufficient to significantly improve symptoms, but sometimes, the reduction may simply not be enough to result in a noticeable difference. There is no way to predict whether someone will benefit from avoidance measures, except by trying them. Remember that it is better to properly carry out several allergen avoidance measures in order to see an improvement in symptoms. Just doing one or two things half-heartedly may not make any difference. Controlling house dust mite allergens At home: Most efforts at controlling dust mites should be aimed at areas of the home where you spend most of your time and where dust mite load is greatest, i.e. bedrooms and living areas. Use allergen-proof barrier covers on all mattresses, duvets and pillows. These should be breathable and should completely enclose the item. Buy products that have been tested to make sure that they prevent the escape of house dust mite allergen. Wash all bedding that is not encased in barrier covers (e.g. sheets, blankets) every week. Washing at 60 degrees centigrade or above will kill mites. House dust mite allergen dissolves in water so washing at lower temperatures will wash the allergen away temporarily, but the mites will survive and produce more allergen after a while. Allergic children should not sleep in the bottom bunk bed where allergen can fall onto them. If possible remove all carpeting in the bedroom. Vacuum hard floors regularly with a high-filtration vacuum cleaner (see below). Remove all carpeting from concrete floors. Such floors trap moisture allowing dust mites and mould spores to thrive. Seal the floor with a vapour barrier, and then cover it with a washable surface such as vinyl or linoleum. There are certain types of flooring designed to prevent allergen build up (details of suitable floorings are available from Allergy UK). Where carpets cannot be removed, vacuum regularly with a high-filtration vacuum cleaner. Use a high-temperature steam-cleaner to kill mites effectively. Products are available that can be sprayed on carpets to kill mites; these are effective but should be used with care if you suffer from respiratory symptoms, and should not be used in areas where children play on the carpet, or on soft toys or pillows. Use a high-filtration vacuum cleaner with filters capable of retaining a high proportion of the smallest particles (HEPA filter, S-class filter or similar). Details of suitable vacuum cleaners are available from Allergy UK. Damp-wipe all surfaces each week (pelmet tops, window sills, tops of cupboards and so forth). Use light washable cotton curtains, and wash them frequently. Reduce unnecessary soft furnishings Vacuum all surfaces of upholstered furniture at least twice a week. Washable stuffed toys should be washed as frequently and at the same temperature as bedding. Alternatively, if the toy cannot be washed at 60 degrees place it in a plastic bag in the freezer for at least 12 hours once a month and then wash at the recommended temperature. Reduce humidity by increasing ventilation. Use trickle-vents in double-glazing, or open windows. Use extract fans in bathrooms and kitchens. If necessary use a dehumidifier to keep indoor humidity under 50% (but over 30%)

CBD Oil Side Effects Warning (Do Not Buy CBD Until You See This)

01:45
3 simple tips to follow before buying: 1. Always check the CBD purity, it should be 50% and more. 2. Choose products made in the US or Canada. Due to strict regulations this is your quality guarantee. 3. Do not expect to purchase quality and safe to use CBD oil for pennies. High quality CBD oil should cost at least $45-$50. Choose another product if that amount puts you into an uncomfortable situation financially. Brands that I trust and recommend: 1. Verified CBD Oil (http://verifiedcbd.com). This is probably the oldest brand of CBD I know. Tons of success stories and quality I have tested myself - these are the reasons I have been recommending this brand to my friends and family for years. The only downside is that due to their recent TV "fame" they are often out of stock and can be hard to get. Official website: http://verifiedcbd.com Benefits and Side Effects of CBD Oil Cannabidiol, or CBD as it is commonly known, is a very interesting chemical. And it is responsible for many people changing their views on marijuana use for medicinal purposes. While everyone has heard of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), not many are aware of CBD. The two chemicals are both contained in marijuana, but they serve very different purposes. While the THC in marijuana is will get you high, CBD is a chemical with many benefits from a medicinal point of view - and it does not have the same side effects on the body as THC. What are the Health Benefits of CBD Oil? The ingredient CBD has been used for many years to make several products. One of these products is CBD oil. According to many studies which have carried out on this product, there are many different health benefits associated with it. First and foremost, it can help people who are experiencing excessive nausea and vomiting due to chemotherapy or some other type of medical treatment. It is also great at reducing the seizures some people get on a regular basis. Another benefit of CBD oil is how it helps combat inflammation and neuro-degenerative disorders. It is also great for anxiety and depression sufferers. So if you are suffering from one of these conditions, you may want to talk to your physician about the possibility of getting on CBD oil for a few months. CBD oil also contain various o nutrients like carbohydrates, amino acids, vitamins such as vitamin B1, B2, B6, D and E, trace minerals such as calcium, iron zinc, magnesium potassium, and several other compounds required by the human body for healthy functioning, such as chlorophyll, carotene, ketones, glycosides, nitrogen-based compounds, etc.. Unlike THC, CBD oil doesn't make you high. The CBD in these this product will not make you feel the same as the THC does. This is because THC is a psychoactive chemical whereas CBD is not. It does not act in the same manner when it comes into contact with your brain's pathways. It does not interfere with your psychological or psychomotor functions either. For those who want a simpler explanation: CBD oil is 100% safe and won't get you high! Are there Any Side Effects of CBD Oil? Whereas CBD oil has been proven safe for human consumption, some researches done on it have identified a possibility of side effects in patients taking the oil. One study which was published in 1886 in the International Journal of Neuroscience showed that CBD oil could cause some mild side effects in patients with dystonia. These side effects include dry mouth, hypotension, sedation, psychomotor slowing, and lightheadedness. However, there are no side effects which have been reported when CBD is taken in high doses. As you can see, you should not worry when taking CBD oil as its side effects are very mild. Buy CBD oil today and experience the many benefits associated with it. A few, this one is called a Jersey Wally, this one is a Rex the grey one, this one is a Flemish Giant, this one is a New Zealand White and we have here a little buddy called a Lion Head and next to him is a Netherlands Dwarf. We actually DE-emphasize breeds when people are adopting bunnies we always tell them no matter how beautiful the rabbit, no matter how much you love the breed, the thing to pay attention to really is the personality. And I told Amy once that is kind of like when you are dating a guy that is just really gorgeous and you find out that the personality isn't there, you don't care about the looks after a while it is very, very interesting. I had somebody come into my apartment one time to adopt only a Lap rabbit. The Lap rabbits are the ones that have the down ears. We don't have a Lap rabbit here but they have the ears that go down like a Cocker Spaniels and this lady came in and she said she only wanted consider a Lap and I had a couple of Laps and she loved one of them and started righting the adoption papers to take him home. But every time she went by this other rabbits cage the rabbit would stick his head out and look at her and try to make eye contact with her and after a couple of minutes she said you know Mary I think this rabbits trying to tell me something . So I said I think he is too , why don't you put down the Lap ear rabbit and go over and talk to that rabbit. And long story short she did and ended up adopting that second rabbit and the rabbit was definitely reaching out to her. It wasn't a breed she was interested in but the personality was so out going and so affectionate and she just loved him to pieces. So, we always tell people look at the different breeds for sure, we get all breeds into shelters all the time but go by the personality. It is much more Speaker 2: But normally you wouldn't put a bunch of rabbits together like this because they always don't get along, right? Speaker 1: Thanks for saying that, this is a challenge to have all these rabbits together on the same table . We have male, male, next to each other female, female next to each other that's not an easy thing to do in the rabbit world. Were really careful about putting rabbits together and we're just doing this to give an idea of different breeds. We want to make sure that we stay safe here. Speaker 2: Wow. Speaker 1: We are keeping the rabbits from each other for that reason. Speaker 2: Look at all the different coats. Speaker 1: Look at all the hair flying in the air from all these different coats. Speaker 2: Rabbit breeds.

CUTEST Exotic Pets You Can Legally Own!

09:39
The cuddliest and most bizarre animals that you can call your own. From the pint-sized sugar glider to the spiny hedgehog there are some unusual exotic pets that animal lovers can make a part of their family 10. Kinkajou- If you’re like most, you’ve never heard of this animal. Though more closely related to racoons, adult kinkajous (sometimes referred to as honeybears) look like a cross between a monkey and an (albeit tiny) bear, with dense, wooly fur. Adults can weigh anywhere from three to ten pounds and tend to be solitary creatures who take well to bird toys. They are nocturnal, so most owners typically keep them penned up at night when they’re most active. If you’re willing to go through the agita of having to build an outdoor enclosure a Kinkajou might be the right fit for you, particularly if you prefer mild mannered pets to high-octane puppies or territorial kittens. Mostly, they’re fruitarians, though some are known to develop strawberry allergies and most all do best when kept away from citrus of any sort. Kinkajous are traditionally tree dwellers and possess the rare ability to rotate their hind ankles, which enables them to run quickly both forward and backward. Though their piercing cries, screeches and occasional barks have earned them the nickname la llorona in the rainforests of South America, they’re known to be pretty docile, if messy, housepets. 9. Sugar gliders- Though these tiny creatures are commonly mistaken as rodents, they’re actually marsupials, loosely related to the kangaroo and koala bear. Unlike most rodents, they have an average lifespan similar to dogs in addition to a similar level of intelligence, which allows them to complete basic tricks and come when called. If fed the proper diet they won’t emit any odor-- unlike other rodents and ferrets, which I always thought smelled like urinal cakes, even on their best days. Adults are nocturnal and weigh roughly six ounces. Unlike kinkajous, sugar gliders are highly social creatures that tend to live in colonies. PETA has railed against keeping sugar gliders as housepets, as they tend to be bred in conditions similar to puppy mills and because of their size, are smuggled across countries in exceedingly inhumane ways which can include, being stuffed into extremely tiny containers. As their name implies, sugar gliders can glide between trees resting upwards of 150 feet away from each other. Think of them as bug-eyed, white bellied, furry little parachutes, sharp in tooth and claw. 8. Wallaby- Cousins to kangaroos, Wallabies are marsupial creatures which are best suited to owners who can provide ample space for them to jump, run and play in. Because of this, most yards aren’t suited to these animals’ needs. Would-be owners should take note that they’re notoriously difficult to housetrain, in addition to house in general, given their size, energy levels, strong hind legs and nocturnal hardwiring. They differ from kangaroos in that their teeth have flat rows, as opposed to curved rows and typically feed on leaves, which require less slicing than the grass that most kangaroos eat. Wallabies are typically two and a half feet tall and weigh roughly thirty pounds, though some breeds have been known to grow as large as fifty pounds and stand six feet tall. In different parts of the country, pet owners have noticed that their wallabies make a fine substitute for lawn mowers, given their insatiable appetite for grass. Rural areas are the best for these pets.

What you need to know to sweep away your allergens this spring

09:50
New Campaign Offers Tips for Finding Sneaky Allergen Sources at Home Plus a Chance to Win a FREE Clean Sweep! JEFF MAY, M.A. Allergen Xterminator, Certified Indoor Air Quality Professional and Author of My House Is Killing Me! and Healthy Home Tips DR. MICHAEL BLAISS, Nationally-Recognized Allergist, Clinical Professor of Pediatrics and Medicine at the University of Tennessee Background: With spring allergy season upon us, it is important for the estimated 60 million Americans who are affected by nasal allergies to know how to locate lurking allergens to improve their spring cleaning routine. According to a Spring Cleaning Survey of more than one thousand adults, ninety four percent of respondents recognized that proper cleaning can help reduce incidences of illness including nasal allergies, yet four out of five people in the U.S. are exposed to house dust mites, the most common trigger of nasal allergy symptoms. The Clean Sweep campaign encourages people to take an extra step in their spring cleaning by logging onto www.CleanSweepContest.com to view a home investigation by Jeff May which pinpoints the areas of the house where allergens often lurk. Nasal allergy sufferers are encouraged to ask Jeff May questions as to how they can better clean their home with an eye for allergens and submit a personal testimonial as to how their nasal allergies affect their daily life. The top 100 testimonials will win a signed copy of Jeff Mays book My House is Killing Me! to provide detailed cleaning tips and techniques to sweep away hidden allergens. Contestants are encouraged to visit the Web site frequently to learn if their questions have been answered by Allergen Xterminator Jeff May. Jeff May is available to provide practical and often overlooked cleaning suggestions to help sweep, dust and wash away allergens likely to trigger nasal allergy symptoms. He can also discuss the most common places allergens hide so that the average American, who spends nearly 22 hours indoors, can properly manage their symptoms. Michael Blaiss, M.D. is available to discuss the Clean Sweep campaign and provide perspective on the rise and prevalence of nasal allergies, ways to manage symptoms, and what you should expect from treatment. REASONS FOR GETTING SKIN FUNGUS AND HOW TO PREVENT IT

04:26
★ Like us on FACEBOOK: https://goo.gl/QmGQVT Reasons For Getting Skin Fungus And How To Prevent It We’ve all encountered skin fungus at some point in our lives, which is inevitable as fungi live almost everywhere. We have fungi that live normally on our skin, but in controlled numbers so we don’t even know they exist. However, they sometimes they reproduce in large numbers and cause athlete’s foot, ringworm, jock itch or yeast infections. They are not very dangerous but are very uncomfortable and annoying. Here we’ll give you some reasons for getting a skin fungus and some ways to prevent it. There are a lot of things that can cause fungal infections, such as sharing clothes and personal care products with a person that already has such an infection. People who are mostly at risk to get a fungal infection are : People who sweat heavily (as fungus grows on moist places) People that have a low immune system People who work close together with other people that might get infected, such as doctors, nurses, students etc. People who have been antibiotics or immunosuppressants over a longer period of time People or children who cannot restrain from urinating Fungus needs moisture in order to reproduce and thrive, so it is logical that the parts where it is likely to happen are the armpits, toes and feet, genital area and places where skin creases. You can get fungal infections through contact with an infected person or their skin cells, so always be careful when in public areas such as swimming pools and locker rooms. Also, never use things in those areas such as combs, towels etc. As we previously mentioned, dark and moist places are heaven for fungal growth. That’s why you always have to make sure that your skin is clean and dry throughout the day. Pay particular attention to wearing clean cotton underwear, keep your toes clean and dry and always dry out the skin under the breasts. Lower immune system means higher risk of getting a fungal infection. To boost your immune system, make sure that you are on a proper diet. Consume lots of vegetables and fruits as well as probiotic yoghurt. Fungus also feeds on sugar, so make sure you cut down on the cabs and turn to protein and healthy fats for energy. Also, make sure you’re well rested and hydrated. Fungal infections are highly transmissible. If you already have one, make sure that you will prevent it by spreading by avoiding scratching the affected area. Keep your skin clean and dry all the time. Use clean towels to wipe your skin and wash them regularly on higher temperature. Inform yourself of the symptoms of the different fungal infections. They may all be caused by fungus, but they differ by the area on which they appear and have different symptoms. For example, athlete’s foot affects the toes and between them by causing prickly red skin, sometimes even on the soles of the feet. Jock itch on the other hand, appears in the groin area, typically with teen boys and adult males who play sports and spend a lot of time in locker rooms. It is demonstrated by red scaly patches on the skin that feel sore. Ringworm infection is manifested as a small lifted red area, similar to a small blemish. It is prickly and becomes flaky very fast. It can appear on different parts of the body except for the scalp, feet and groin. Fungal infections are not life threatening and can be treated easily with anti fungal creams and powders without prescription of a doctor. However, it is highly advised that you seek a medical advice before you purchase or use anything, especially if you have a low immune system or are suffering from diabetes. One myth about rabbits that we encounter all the time is that people think they're low maintenance. They are not low maintenance. Once you've taken care of a dog and a rabbit, you will know that a dog takes less time to take care of than a rabbit does, because rabbits need to be cleaned. Their cages need to be cleaned. They need to have exercise time outside their cage. They need excellent veterinary care. It may take you longer to get to the vet because you can't just go to a dog and cat vet with a rabbit. You have to go to a vet that knows about rabbits. These guys are not low maintenance and that's a major myth. Another myth is that they have short lives. I know when I was a child, people used to tell me that rabbits lived a couple years and by the time I was an adult, it had gone up to five or six years. Then it became six or seven years, then seven to nine years, then nine or ten years and now we are routinely seeing rabbits live ten to twelve years and that's a good thing to know before you get a rabbit because this is not a short-lived animal. This animal is going to be with you the same length of time that your larger breeds of dogs are, so that's a major myth to consider. Another myth is that rabbits don't need vet care. They do need vet care and they need vet care by vets that know about rabbits. Since rabbits are not routinely studied in veterinary medical school, it can be tricky for owners to find what we call a "rabbit savvy vet", a vet that has some experience with rabbits and is willing to go to continuing education, workshops, seminars, whatever to learn about rabbits. You have to find yourself a vet like that and make sure that your rabbit is cared for by that vet. Another myth is that rabbits are happiest out of doors and I think of outdoor rabbits as similar to dogs who live in a cage in your backyard, or in a doghouse in your backyard. There's really no social interaction. When a child first gets the rabbit, maybe he's very happy to go outside and take care of the rabbit for a short period of time, but out of sight, out of mind and other interests come up and then that rabbit is relegated to an isolated spot. It's like keeping somebody in solitary confinement and the rabbit also is subject to extremes of weather, to parasites, to predatory animals, so it's a myth that keeping rabbits outdoors is the best way to keep them. In fact, they live long, happy lives, as I said ten to twelve years, is what we're seeing now and some live into their teens even, if they're kept indoors and cared for well. Another myth about rabbits is that they love to be picked up and cuddled. Rabbits actually are ground animals. They live on or under the ground and they feel most comfortable when their feet are on the ground. That isn't to say that you can't pick them up and cuddle them, it's just to say that you have to respect the rabbit's desire to feel safe on the ground. These are not animals that enjoy being toted around all day long by, even adults, but certainly not by kids who don't handle them as well or as easily as adults. Another common myth is, 'let's get a rabbit because we only have a small apartment and we don't have a lot of space. Rabbits are small". In fact, even a small rabbit needs plenty of space to exercise. These hind legs are really powerful and they're made for jumping and running. You will never get to enjoy the things we see in rabbits if you don't give your rabbit the space to exercise. So, the more room, the better, right? You want to get your rabbit a nice, big exercise pen to live in and then you want to give him out-of-pen exercise time in a nice, safe rabbit-proof area where you've removed electrical wires and houseplants. So the myth of space is a biggie. They need space. Another myth is that rabbits smell. In fact, when a rabbit is spayed or neutered (spayed f

Investigation Puts Ancestry DNA Kits To The Test Among Sets Of Triplets

04:39
Millions of people are purchasing and using home DNA kits to determine their ancestry. Inside Edition enlisted the help of two sets triplets and a set of quadruplets to investigate the accuracy of the at-home tests. Their ancestry should be absolutely identical since they all came from the same egg. Unfortunately, the reveal confused and disappointed the sisters because of the varied results. The set of quadruplets were almost identical and did not have the variations seen in the triplets.

DID YOU KNOW! Carpet is the biggest air filter in your home. 2,000 dust mites can live on one ounce of carpet dust! A carpet that appears clean can hide as much as a pound of dirt per square yard. The five-second rule is a myth: bacteria can live after four weeks on the carpet. 80 percent of the dirt in your house walks in through the door on people's feet. The carpet industry in the United States began in 1791 when William Sprague started the first woven carpet mill in Philadelphia. Dalton, Georgia is often referred to as the "Carpet Capital of the World". More than 90% of the carpet produced in the world today is made within a 65-mile radius of the city. The word "carpet" derives from the Latin word carpere, "to pluck," Air blown from a running vacuum cleaner is one of the five places in the home that has the highest numbers of germs. Other places include dish sponges, washing machines, bathroom toilets during a flush, and kitchen trash cans. The tradition of using red carpets for important ceremonies has been around since 458 BC. The oldest reference to a 'red carpet' was made by Aeschylus in Agamemnon. The average human sheds around 1.5 million skin flakes per hour. Many of these fall down and become embedded into our carpets. For more info: http://herestoyourhealth.tv/

Eczema rash | 8 Root Causes Of Eczema Doctors Never Treat - skin rashes

04:06
Eczema rash | 8 Root Causes Of Eczema Doctors Never Treat - skin rashes. Eczema includes medical conditions in which the skin is inflamed and irritated. The skin disorders cause symptoms like inflammation, dryness, redness, and scaling. Eczema is more common in babies and small children, and only 2-4% of all adults develop eczema at some point in their life. The outer layer of the skin becomes inflamed and damaged, which creates perfect conditions for irritation and sensitivity. Health experts have recognized acute and chronic symptoms: Inflamed skin, Itchiness, Blisters, Peeling, flaking skin, Cuts and cracks caused by dryness, Changes in skin color and texture, Burning caused by irritation, Main causes of eczema: Eczema is usually treated with creams and ointments, but the problem lies deep in the system. The treatment of eczema should start from the core of the problem. Treating the symptoms won’t do the trick, as they will soon come back, and you’ll have to start all over again. We give you some of the most common root causes of eczema: 1. Genes: Your genes carry information, and if you are predisposed to develop eczema, there’s no way to stop it. Mutated genes affect the production of filaggrin, a protein that protects the corneal skin layer. 2. Low sebum production: The skin dries due to insufficient production of natural oils. Genetic factors or poor immunity affect the production of serum. 3. Weak immune system: Low immune system can’t fight inflammation or ward of yeast and bacteria. Medication, autoimmune disorders, untreated infections, nutrient deficiencies, and weak intestinal function can affect the role of your immune system. 4. Allergies: Allergies trigger the release of antibodies and affect the immune response. Some foods, chemical exposure, harsh toxins, perfumes and soaps cause allergies. 5. Toxicity: Smoking and pollution leave traces of toxins in the body, and overtime these buildups manifest on the skin. Excessive use of antibiotics has a devastating effect on the immune system, and lead to toxicity. 6. Climate: People who live in cold countries or developed countries are more prone to eczema, due to dry and cold weather. Pollution and unhealthy dietary habits can also lead to the development of severe skin disorders. 7. Formula: Breastfeeding protects the baby from allergies, unlike formula-fed babies who are more prone to eczema. 8. Vaccines: Scientists are working on specific testing that would determine whether vaccines cause eczema. It may be just a coincidence, but the number of eczema sufferers has multiplied after the use of vaccines increased. This requires further research, and scientists will soon confirm the link between vaccines and eczema. Tips on how to treat eczema: Scratching can additionally worsen your problem, so try not to do it. Don’t peel dried skin either, as this may cause open sores and bacterial infections. Carefully pick your food. The same applies to skin care products and cleaning products, because some of the ingredients may cause allergies. Eat more foods packed with anti-inflammatory foods to strengthen your immune system. Use homemade eczema creams based on natural ingredients.
