Breakfast which includes oatmeal can do wonders for your health. Oats have been cultivated and used as a source of food and medicine for more than two thousand years. Moreover, oatmeal has been used for treating a number of conditions, including skin problems, intestinal disorders, nerve problems, and uterine issues. Here’s What Happens To Your Body When You Eat Oatmeal Everyday: Consult your doctor before making a change to your daily diet. Nutritional Benefits Of Eating Oatmeal Everyday: A half-cup of oatmeal contains 13 grams of protein and one small quarter-cup of oatmeal provides you with almost 100% of the recommended daily intake of manganese. Furthermore, oatmeal is rich in numerous antioxidants, including tocotrienols, vitamin E, phenolic acids, and phytic acid. Other nutrients it contains: vitamin B1, biotin, copper, phosphorus, molybdenum, and magnesium among other phytonutrients. Changes You Can See In Your Body When You Eat Oatmeal Everyday: Regular consumption of oatmeal can prevent obesity and weight gain since it has the ability to keep you full for longer and curb food cravings. You will notice positive changes in your body in a couple of ways. It will boost your energy and provides fiber that will keep you full longer. A bowl of oatmeal has a low-glycemic impact when consumed in the morning and it will provide you with a good source of energy throughout the morning hours, without a dramatic increase or drop in blood sugar levels. Oatmeal can help you reduce your total calorie intake by 81 percent. A study on high-GI breakfasts versus low-GI breakfasts and the later caloric intake in the day found that oatmeal has the ability to prevent people from over-consuming calories at later meals. Generally, most low calorie, low fat diets do not keep us full for longer. On the other hand, oatmeal helps you eat less throughout the rest of the day. This will result in weight loss and fat loss changes in the body. Other Health Benefits Of Eating Oatmeal Everyday: Reduced cholesterol Lower risk of cardiovascular disease Lower risk of heart failure Strong immune system Controlled blood sugar levels and reduced risk of type2 diabetes Prevent cancer due to its high fiber content Whole grains protect from childhood asthma Excellent grain alternative for people with celiac disease and for those who avoid gluten Extend life expectancy What You Need To Know About Oat Processing: Oat groats: unflattened kernels that are good for using as a breakfast cereal or for stuffing. Steel-cut oats: featuring a dense and chewy texture, they are produced by running the grain through steel blades that thinly slices them. Old-fashioned oats: are flatter since they are steamed and then rolled. Quick-cooking oats: processed like old-fashioned oats, but they are cut finely before rolling. Instant oatmeal: produced by partially cooking the grains and then rolling them very thin. Oat bran: just the outer layer of the oat grain that resides under the hull. All of these choices can be your perfect and favorite meal. However, the less processed your meal is, the higher nutritional value it has. Choose steel-cut oats for your oatmeal breakfast. You can consume oatmeal as a grain alternative for each meal. For example, you can find a quinoa recipe and replace oatmeal as the grain. Nobel* laureate and heart expert Dr. Lou Ignarro discusses Niteworks®, a refreshing powdered drink mix that supports the body’s production of an incredible molecule called Nitric Oxide, or NO. Niteworks® was created to be taken nightly to promote the natural formation of NO, since NO levels are lowest at night. NO is a crucially important molecule in the cardiovascular system. It’s also the body’s most important antioxidant and regulator of cardiovascular health and function. NO’s major role is in opening, or widening, the blood vessels, also known as vasodilation. Wide, flexible blood vessels help maintain blood flow to vital organs, which supports overall cardiovascular function. Essentially, NO is a “heart healthy molecule.” And Niteworks® supports the body’s natural ability to produce NO, which promotes improved circulatory, immune and nervous system function. Niteworks® supports the body in a number of ways. It supports blood flow, for the healthy function of the heart, brain and other organs.† It helps keep blood vessels toned, flexible and youthful for improved circulation.† And it also supports healthy blood pressure levels already within a normal range—an important part of supporting overall cardiovascular wellness.† Exercise and a healthy diet are important to keeping your NO levels high. And adding Niteworks® is a smart strategy for anyone looking to support heart health. While Niteworks® doesn’t provide the body with NO, it does support the body’s natural production of NO. 7 Best supplements that will clean your arteries naturally at home : Heart attacks are caused by the blood supply to the heart being suddenly interrupted. Without this supply, heart muscles may be damaged and begin to die. fatty deposits called plaque buildup in your arteries, they can narrow the vessels and raise your risk of atherosclerosis and heart disease. Several supplements are available that, over time, might help dissolve plaque and improve the function of your arteries, lowering your risk of chronic circulatory problems. Here are 7supplements that can help you unclog your arteries 1. Take fish oil supplements. If you don’t like fish or don’t have access to fish, you can simply take fish oil supplements to help get omega-3 fats. Look for fish oils that contain EPA and DHA oils. Although you might expect consuming fat to increase arterial plaque, omega-3 fatty acids may help slow plaque deposition and, over time, reduce its amount, according to experts at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Consuming supplements containing these unsaturated, healthy fatty acids can lower levels of blood triglycerides while raising levels of HDL, helping to keep your blood cholesterol in a healthy range. They may also help prevent inflammation of the arterial lining and reduce the risk of blood clots, both of which promote plaque deposits. 2. Take psyllium supplements. If you have difficulty getting enough fiber from foods, you can take psyllium supplements. Psyllium is a water-soluble fiber available in pill and powder forms. 3. Increase soy protein through supplements. Soy proteins are commonly available as powders that you can mix into a variety of foods and beverages (juices, smoothies, etc.). Several studies have shown that soy protein supplementation can have a beneficial effect on your cholesterol levels. 4. Take niacin supplements. You can also take niacin (vitamin B3) to help lower cholesterol levels. However, talk to your physician and monitor niacin supplementation closely. Common side effects at high doses include: • Flushing of the skin • Stomach upset • Headaches • Dizziness • Blurred vision • Increased risk of liver damage 5. Garlic Supplement. Garlic isn't just a culinary herb but is also a useful supplement if you're concerned about arterial plaque and atherosclerosis, according to evidence summarized at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Garlic contains a compound that's converted into allicin when cloves are crushed. Allicin could help lower blood levels of cholesterol by suppressing a liver enzyme that makes cholesterol. This eventually reduces plaque so You can simply add more fresh garlic to your food or take garlic supplements if you don’t enjoy garlic in foods. 6. Take plant sterol supplements. Beta-sitosterol and sitostanol are two additional supplements that may have a positive impact on cholesterol. You can find these options in supplement form at most vitamin shops or health food stores. 7. Take coenzyme Q-10 (CoQ-10) supplements. CoQ-10 is an essential nutrient used to treat a variety of heart and blood vessel conditions. It can also counteract muscle pain resulting from other cholesterol-lowering medications called “statins.” Consider taking CoQ-10 if your doctor has prescribed one of these medications. check out my other similar videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFE8MFBZURI 😍 15 Foods That Unclog Arteries Naturally And Protect Against Heart Attack https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-yVQyl2k4s 😍 7 Lifestyle Changes That Will Clean Your Arteries Naturally And Protect You From Heart Attack NOTE: The materials and the information contained onNatural ways channel are provided for general and educational purposes only and do not constitute any legal, medical or other professional advice on any subject matter. This is due to its many health promoting abilities, healthy fats and nutrient profile that can benefit our health and reduce the risk of disease. Unlike many other oils, palm oil contains good amounts of important nutrients and antioxidants. Before consuming palm oil, discuss with your medical practitioner to make sure that it is right for you. Now, let discuss some of the amazing health benefits of palm oil. 1. First, palm oil may be able to help reduce the risk of some types of cancers. This is largely attributed to the many potent antioxidant compounds this oil contains. It is rich in natural antioxidants known as tocopherols which can help to reduce damaging free radicals in the body while also having anti-cancer properties. As well, palm oil contains other important antioxidants such as beta-carotene and vitamin E which are vital for keeping our immune system strong and fighting disease. Always be sure to discuss with your medical practitioner for further treatment and prevention methods in this regard. 2. Palm oil can also keep our cardiovascular system healthy and reduce the risk of developing heart disease. It can help to balance cholesterol levels and is a great source of “good” HDL cholesterol. Just be sure to consume palm oil in moderation as it also contains some “bad” LDL cholesterol. Also, palm oil has important anti-thrombotic properties which allows it to help reduce the risk of blood clots and increase blood flow and circulation. The wonderful antioxidant properties of this oil also work to reduce inflammation and free radicals which promotes the overall health of our cardiovascular system. 3. Palm oil also works great as a natural energy booster and has tremendous energy boosting properties. This is largely attributed to its nutritional profile and the vital nutrients it contains that nourish our body and promote strength building. Specifically, the high amounts of beta-carotene found in palm oil can help to keep our hormone levels balanced which can promote satiety and reduce sugar cravings. Also, the healthy fats found in this oil can help us to feel full longer while also sustaining energy levels without the crash caused by excess sugar. 4. It can also help to improve vision and reduce certain vision ailments. It is a great source of beta-carotene, which is a vital nutrient for promoting the overall health of our eyes. As well, palm oil can help reduce the risk of cellular breakdown and damage that can cause issues with our vision as we get older due to its high amounts of powerful antioxidants. This allows palm oil to help prevent macular degeneration and cataracts. 5. Lastly, if you are looking to improve the overall health and look of your skin, palm oil contains important nutrients that can help in this regard. It is a good source of vitamin E, which works to protect the skin from damaging free radicals and oxidative stress. This allows palm oil to reduce fine lines, wrinkles and other sings of premature aging. Your heart, your fluid, your energy, your nutrients in and out of the cell is dependent on the sodium and potassium pump. However, potassium is the most difficult to get from the diet. High levels of cortisol (stress), insulin, sugar, diuretics, excessive salt, surgery, all can deplete potassium. However, you need between 7-10 cups of salad or veggies to get your daily requirement of 4700mg. Hey guys, Dr. Berg here. I want to do a video on the most important electrolyte. Let me explain what an electrolyte is, if you ever take salt and put it in the water and dissolve it, the sodium and chloride disconnect and they become two separate minerals and that fluid is very electrically conductive. Basically electrolytes have to do with minerals that help conduct electricity in the body. They help with a lot of different things. As far as the electrolytes, it will be like potassium, sodium, magnesium, calcium, chlorides, and all those minerals. Potassium out of all the electrolytes is the one that we need in a very large quantities. Why is that? Why do we need potassium in a large amount? I am talking 4,700 mg to 6,000 mg every single day and that is equivalent to 7 to 10+ cups of salad or vegetables every single day. Let’s go dig further into exactly to why we need potassium. There are something in the body called sodium-potassium pump. It is built in a little protein connected to an enzyme, it forms a whole enzyme in the surface of your cells and you will have between 8,000 to 30million of this little tiny pumps and they are little generators that generate electricity to allow things to go through the cell so it take a lot of energy, in fact the energy of 1/3 of your diet goes to running those pumps. You also have another pump in the stomach called the hydrogen potassium ATPas, it is basically another pump that is built with a potassium that allows you to create stomach acid to help you digest. This pumps are also in the muscles, nervous systems and the pumps in the nervous system used about 60% of your body’s chloric intake of energy. In other words, these pumps are really critically important in exchanging nutrition, glucose, amino acids and other minerals to allow them to transport in other cell. Potassium is essential for building the pumps to allow these functions right here, they charge the cell electrically, so your cells have a certain voltage to allow things to work and go in and out of the cell to create different energy. In fact your energy that you have that controls your metabolism is controlled partly by these little pump. So it charges the cell electrically, it gives you energy. It helps the muscle contracts and relax because it allows calcium to go into the cell as well. It controls the transport of calcium. While the journals are brimming with precious information about the function of the lymphatic system, it might be 5-10 years before this information finds its way into a medical practice – if ever! At LifeSpa.com, my goal is to bring you this new science now, and not wait ten years to integrate this knowledge into our healthcare system. Science alone, in my opinion is not reliable enough, unless it is backed by clinical experience or time-tested wisdom. At LifeSpa, I write weekly about time-tested traditional practices that are also backed by science. Imagine a series of lymphatic therapies that have been used successfully for thousands of years… that now have science to back them up! I invite you to read my many articles and videos on how to manage the lymphatic system as a primary tool for optimal health. Many of my articles have listed seasonal foods for supporting lymphatic health, like this one, "Eat Red: Lymph Cleansing Foods," but in this article, I am suggesting a 1-3 month, 6-step herbal plan to decongest the lymph. According to Ayurveda, the lymphatic system is the very first system of the body evaluated for most any condition. In a toxic world with digestive strength for most folks in decline, the lymph system (the body’s drainage system) can easily get congested. This concern regularly goes unnoticed and untreated for most folks. I have found that lymph-cleansing can be the missing piece of the healthcare puzzle for many. While the Colorado Cleanse and the Short Home Cleanse are powerful lymph-cleansing detox programs, I created this more focused lymph detox in support of more lasting benefits. A healthy body and glowing skin is something that everyone wants. A proper diet can make a huge difference, and people are making the changes needed to eat healthy. This is one reason why people are giving up carbonated, fizzy drinks that have bad side effects. They’re looking for healthier drinks that can be made at home with available ingredients. One such health drink is fresh ginger carrot juice. It will help boost the amount of fruits and vegetables you take in, and is very good for your health. These two vegetables have many different nutrients, like multivitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Here is why you should drink fresh ginger carrot juice. 1. Boosts Immunity This healthy juice is good for your immune system, and older people and growing children can be helped by it. The vitamins A and C in carrots help make immune cells. When it comes to carrots, choose the organic kind to boost the immune system. 2. Improves Skin Health There are a few nutrients in ginger carrot juice that boost healthy skin and keep skin problems away. Because they are full of vitamin A and other antioxidants, carrots are good for the skin. They keep the skin moist and block acne, pigmentation, marks, and uneven skin tone. Carrots are a good example of root vegetables that have beta- carotene, which boosts healthy skin. 3. Reduces Cancer Risk Fresh ginger carrot juice can naturally guard from cancer, because of its anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-proliferative, and anti-metastatic properties. Studies show that ginger can fight some types of cancers, such as ovarian, colorectal, lung, breast, skin, prostate, and pancreatic cancer. 4. Promotes Cardiovascular Health Carrots are very good for your heart health. The antioxidants- beta-carotene, alpha-carotene, and lutein- in carrots help fight cholesterol and lower the risk of a heart attack. The potassium in them is good for lowering high blood pressure. Ginger is also good for your heart, because it helps lower cholesterol levels, control blood pressure, and stop blood from clotting. 5. Controls Diabetes Ginger helps lower your blood sugar level and even helps insulin and other drugs used for treating diabetes work properly. It also helps stop health problems that come with diabetes and uncontrolled blood sugar. Carrots are also good for diabetic people. They have a very low glycemic load and the carotenoids in them help control blood sugar. 6. Good for Digestive Health If you have digestive problems a lot, you should add this tasty ginger carrot juice to your diet. Both ingredients are full of nutrients that are good for the digestive system, as well as the colon. Raw carrot juice works on the mucus linings of the stomach and colon, and helps treat constipation. Ginger helps the emptying of your stomach. It lessens nausea, pain, and swelling, and eases heartburn. Also, because ginger can help force out extra gas, it can calm an upset stomach. It can even soothe the gastrointestinal muscles, and therefore stop gas and bloating. So, put your blender or juicer to good use and try making this healthy juice at home. Ingredients: 4 to 6 carrots ½ inch ginger root ½ lemon Cinnamon powder (if you’d like) Sea salt (if you’d like) Steps to make fresh ginger carrot juice: 1. Peel the carrots, then wash them in running water and dry them. 2. Take off the skin of the ginger root, and wash it well. 3. Put the carrots through a juicer to get the juice. 4. Put the ginger piece through the juicer. 5. Move the juice into a glass. 6. Squeeze the juice of ½ of a lemon into the carrot and ginger juice. 7. Add a bit of sea salt or cinnamon for extra flavor if you’d like. Drink it once a day. It’s best to drink it with your breakfast. My favorite, clinically proven formula for improving ED, boosting testosterone and sex drive: 🤜 http://drsam.co/yt/BeHarderLonger You can also watch this video on my channel: http://drsam.co/yt/BestVitaminForED ======================================= 🤷🏼♂️ Kegel - #1 Exercise For Preventing Erectile Dysfunction & Improving Your Performance In The Bedroom ======================================= Today I’m going to reveal the #1 exercise for preventing erectile dysfunction and improving your “performance” in the bedroom. This simple exercise will also help avoid the embarrasing “premature ejeculation”, allowing you to statisfy your parter, better and long than ever before. If you’ve been following my work and watching my videos, you would know that certain exercises can either increase or decrease your libido, erection strength, hardness and even size, because of hormonal changes. If you didn’t already know, testosterone is the primary hormone that increases your libido, sex drive and “muscle size”. Unfortunately, this hormone starts to decrease around the age of 25. However, certain exercises can increase your decrease your testosterone. For example, doing too much cardiovascular exercise - like running, jogging, etc. can decrease your testosterone because of the increase in your stress hormone, cortisol. TWO things you do NOT want to do. One of the best forms of exercise for increasing your testosterone is lifting weights. However, too much of that isn’t good either. About 3-4x weekly, no more than an hour is just the right amount to increase your testosterone and help improve your libido and sex drive. The Non-Exercise, Exercise However, today I’m NOT going to discuss anything about lifting weights, cardio, etc. I’ve done that in the past. What I want to talk about is a very simple “non-exercise”, exercise... that you can do RIGHT NOW, while watching this video and that’s called, the Kegel Exercise. I call this the “non-exercise” exercise because it requires no gym, equipment or even real movement. Now, some of you may have heard of this. Unfortunately most do it incorrectly. Kegel exercises are done to strengthen the perineal muscles. To “flex” this muscle, it’s very simple. One way to describe how to do it is, by contracting your anus muscle, as if you’re trying to hold in gas. Go ahead and give it a try now... Another way to do it is stop peeing midway through. Thus, as you’re peeing, “contract the muscle” that will STOP the pee, midway through. That’s it - that’s a kegel exercise. Super simple, but extremely effective. You can literally do it anywhere, anytime and nobody would know. Sets & Reps You should do kegel’s about 3x a week to start with. Over time, slowly build up to 5x weekly. Just don’t do it every single day because like any muscle, it requires rest to gain strength. Contract the muscle (holding in gas or stop peeing) and hold for 3-5 seconds. Relax for 1-2 seconds. That’s ONE repetition Do this 10 of these, for 10 repetitions. That’s ONE set Do one set of 10 repetitions, 3x weekly. Then maybe the next week do 2 sets of 10 reps and work up to 3 sets of 10 reps, 3x weekly. You can do it all at once, or break it up 2-3x daily. Nothing it set in stone. What matters is consistency, persistence and patience. Benefits There lots of benefits when this muscle is strong Stronger, full erections Last longer, more stamina and the prevention of premature ejeculation. Stronger orgasms. Healthier prostate. Improvement for those who have overactive bladder or urinary incontinence. How To Improve Results Of course, doing the right exercises is a great start. However, the bottom line is that you need to have optimal levels of your anti-aging, “pro-sexual” hormones such as total and free testosterone levels. And if you’re over the 30, then I can guarantee that your “youth” hormones just aren’t where they used to be and are going lower and lower each year. Because of this, I’ve got a special link below, to a bonus video about how you can dramatically improve your testosterone levels and fix erectile problems in a few short days or weeks. ======================================== Thank you for watching. Known for its distinct taste, turmeric provides numerous health benefits for individuals when consumed consistently. When mixed with honey, this paste helps boost immunity while promoting our overall health through their combined effects. In fact, when mixed together, it may actually increase honey’s bioavailability. Generally, when combining these two ingredients, try to use both organic turmeric and raw organic honey if you can. Lets discuss some of the amazing health benefits of consuming honey mixed with turmeric. 1. First, honey and turmeric provides a wide range of important vitamins, minerals and nutrients in only a small dosage. Turmeric is a great source of manganese, iron, vitamin B6, copper and fibre. Raw honey is also rich in vitamins and minerals, These include calcium, magnesium, thiamin riboflavin and potassium. 2. The combination of honey and turmeric also has tremendous antibacterial and anti-fungus properties. The mixture can be applied topically to combat unwanted fungus found on the body, such as toe and foot fungus. It has also been shown to help fight Candida. As well, you can also consume honey and turmeric to help combat different types of bacteria and is a known natural yet potent antibiotic. 3. This mixture is also great for the overall health and look of our skin. The combination of these two wonderful ingredients provides many anti-aging, antibacterial and antimicrobial compounds which all work together to improve the skin’s quality. Both products are found in many cosmetic products sold today. Again, when combined together, this mixture can be applied topically as a potent face mask to improve the skin. It can work to treat acne, brighten the skin and make it look more radiant and reduce the signs of wrinkles. It may even be able to treat burns. 4. Raw honey mixed with turmeric can also work to naturally treat coughs and other respiratory issues as some studies have shown. As well, Turmeric’s amazing antiviral and antibacterial properties can help to treat common cold and flu symptoms. As a natural decongestant, honey and turmeric can also help to alleviate symptoms of nasal congestion and improve conditions effecting the upper respiratory tract. 5. The combination also has amazing anti-inflammatory properties and is a rich source of antioxidants. Honey contains floral flavonoids, which have been shown to boost the body’s antioxidant levels. Turmeric also contains curcumin, which provides excellent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. This can help reduce inflammation throughout the entire body and may also improve blood pressure and decrease the risk of cardiovascular disease. As well, honey and turmeric can help to get rid of free radicals in the body which may cause oxidative stress and boost our immunity. 6. Lastly, honey mixed with turmeric may also be able to help improve cognitive function. As a potent anti-inflammatory, this mixture can help support overall brain health. Inflammation is thought to be one of the causes of certain types of neurodegenerative disorders, among other causes. The potent anti-inflammatory properties in both honey and turmeric can help to counter certain inflammatory responses causes by stress and our environment. As well, the curcumin found in turmeric has been shown to stimulate the production of DHA and ALA. These are omega-3 fatty acids which can help support nervous system function in the brain You don’t have to consume large amounts of honey and turmeric for this mixture to be effective, especially if yo are consuming it consistently. One common recipe combines 3.5 ounces of raw honey and a tablespoon of turmeric powder. You can even half this recipe when beginning to consume this mixture. Simply mix the two ingredients together and consume. Consult with your medical practitioner before consuming to make sure this mixture is right for you. Thank you for watching the video! This podcast features Jari Laukkanen, M.D., Ph.D., a cardiologist and scientist at the Institute of Public Health and Clinical Nutrition, University of Eastern Finland, Kuopio. Dr. Laukkanen has been conducting long-term trials looking at the health effects of sauna use in a population of over 2,000 middle-aged men in Finland. The results? Massive reductions in mortality and memory disease in a dose-response fashion at 20-year follow-up. In this almost 25-minute episode, we talk about... 00:00:37 - The association between sauna use and fatal cardiovascular outcomes 00:00:37 - The inverse association between cardiovascular-related deaths and all-cause deaths. 00:02:00 - How men that used the sauna 2-3 times per week had a 27% lower cardiovascular-related mortality than men that used the sauna 1 time per week 00:02:15 - How men that used the sauna 4-7 times per week had a 50% lower cardiovascular-related mortality than men that used the sauna one time per week. 00:02:50 - The confounding factors Dr. Laukkanen and his colleagues had to adjust for, such as physical exercise, cholesterol, obesity, smoking, alcohol consumption, socioeconomic status. 00:03:26 - The various types of cardiac-related deaths their reductions were shown in, including coronary artery disease, sudden cardiac death and more. 00:05:00 - How one of the major mechanisms by which sauna use improves heart health is by reducing blood pressure and incident hypertension. 00:05:40 - The mechanisms by which the sauna lowers blood pressure, which can occur via balancing of the autonomic nervous system, improvements in blood vessel function, decreases in arterial stiffness and compliance of arteries. 00:06:17 - The increases in heart rate seen with sauna use that make it similar to moderate aerobic exercise in some ways (up to 150 beats/min!). 00:06:56 - How time spent in the sauna was one of the more important factors for risk reduction with at least 20 minutes per session in a 174 F (79C) 4-7 times per week being a "sweet spot." 00:09:29 - The inverse, dose-response relationship between sauna use and all-cause mortality: 24% for 2-3 times per week, 40% for 4-7 times. 00:10:00 - His newest study that now shows a reduction in risk in a similar dose-response fashion for dementia and Alzheimer’s disease by around 65% for the most frequent sauna users. 00:10:18 - The way sauna use increases heat shock proteins which repair damaged proteins and prevent protein aggregates and how this could end up being at least one potential molecular mechanism at play. 00:13:03 - How sauna use increases growth hormone by 200-330%. 00:14:10 - The patterns of sauna use and especially whether to sauna before or after you weight train. 00:15:55 - The effect of sauna on mood which may be from improvements in cardiorespiratory fitness and possibly endorphins as well. 00:18:39 - How sauna improves heart rate variability. 00:20:04 - Cold-water immersion after sauna and a few cautionary words for extreme contrast therapy in people with a pre-existing heart condition that is currently unstable. As well, chestnuts are incredibly nutrients dense and offer amazing amounts of nutrition in only a small serving size. Just be sure to eat them in moderation since they can be quite high in carbohydrates and calories. Lets discuss some of the amazing health benefits chestnuts can provide when consumed regularly. 1. First, as mentioned previously, chestnuts are incredibly nutrient dense and offer many different types of vitamin, minerals and other nutrients in high quantities. This includes important nutrients such as manganese, vitamin B6, vitamin C, folate, potassium, copper and riboflavin to name a few. They are also loaded with dietary fibre and are surprisingly high in antioxidant compounds. All of these high quality nutrients makes them a great choice for anyone looking to add nutrition to their diets. 2. Consuming chestnuts regularly can also help to improve the health of our bones and keep them healthy. This is because they are loaded with bone healthy nutrients. Specifically, chestnuts are a great source of manganese. Studies have shown that manganese is vital to bone health since it is not only stored in our bones directly, but also because it can help prevent bone loss and improve bone density. This makes chestnuts helpful in fighting certain bone ailments, such as osteoporosis while also promoting strong bones. 3. Chestnuts can also help to promote the health of our heart and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. This is often attributed to heart healthy minerals that chestnuts contain, such as potassium, as well as the many potent antioxidant compounds. The antioxidants found in chestnuts can help to reduce inflammation throughout the entire body and cardiovascular system, which improves heart health. As well, due to the high levels of potassium that chestnuts contain, they can also help to lower blood pressure. 4. They can also help to improve digestion a number of different ways. When consumed, chestnuts can have beneficial and protective effects on probiotics found within the gastrointestinal tract. These gut healthy bacteria promote the overall health of the digestive system as well as promote better digestion and nutrient uptake from the foods we eat. As well, chestnuts are a great source of dietary fibre. This gut healthy fibre can help food pass through the digestive tract and alleviate certain gut disorders such as constipation and bloating. 5. Lastly, regular consumption of chestnuts can help to improve cognitive function. This is largely attributed to the high amount of B-vitamins that chestnuts contain. They are great sources of several different B-vitamins, such as riboflavin, folate, thiamin and vitamin B6. These vitamins play a vital role in the overall health of our brain and its function. As well, chestnuts can help to reduce inflammation in the body, which could lead to certain brain disorders and impair cognitive function.
