How my parents lowered their cholesterol by 30 pts in 30 days - no diets or drugs. An all natural alternative to statin drugs. ►►►http://drsam.co/yt/NoMoreStatin =============================== 5 Important & Clinically Proven Reasons You Should NOT Take Statin Drugs =============================== Statins are HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors. They work by blocking the enzyme (HMG-CoA reductase) in your liver, that is responsible for making cholesterol. Now, this is very important topic to me personally, because over 15+ years ago my parent’s were prescribed these toxic drugs and they had a ton of negative side-effects. Unfortunately back then, we didn’t have all the data we have now. The pharmaceutical companies did a great job of hiding them. Today I’m going to reveal the top 5, clinically proven reasons, why you should NOT take statin drugs and one of my favorite, natural alternatives that my own parents use. Reason #1 - They DON’T Work! Statin drugs DO lower your cholesterol levels, but don’t think they lower your risk of heart disease, heart attacks or strokes. Based on the statistics of “Relative Risk Reduction (RRR)”, statins reduce the risk for only 1% of the population - that’s it!8 Reason #2 - Increase Your Risk Major Disease, Including Cancer! Statins increase your risk for diabetes. And what’s interesting is that over 50% of people who have heart disease, have elevated glucose and blood sugar levels. So the irony is that the statin drugs will indirectly INCREASE your risk of heart disease by increasing your blood sugar levels. Statins also cause neurodegenerative diseases, such as memory loss, Alzheimer’s, Huntington’s and Parkinson’s. Statins also cause musculoskeletal disorders, leading to muscle pain and weakness (myalgia), muscle cramps and other muscular problems. Statins also cause cataracts, which is a clouding of your eye lens and is a main cause of low vision among the elderly. Finally, statin drugs are known to cause cancer. Reason #3 - Deplete Important Nutrients Statin drugs deplete two very important nutrients in your body. The first is Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10). CoQ10 is used for energy production by every cell in your body, and is therefore vital for good health, high energy levels, longevity, and general quality of life. What’s important to know is that your heart is the most energy-demanding organ in your body. By depleting CoQ10, your heart slowly becomes weaker and ages faster. In addition to CoQ10, statin drug also reduce Vitamin K2. This is important for you to know because Vitamin K2 protects your arteries from calcification. Without it, plaque levels worsen. Reason #4 - Liver Problems & Toxicity Of all the negative side-effects associated with statin drugs, the most common was “drug induced liver injury”… This accounts for a whopping 57% of all statin related “adverse drug reactions”, which included potentially severe and some cases, deadly consequences such as: Death from acute liver failure Liver transplantation Jaundice Liver problems are so bad with statin drugs that each year there are millions of people diagnosed “moderate to serious liver dysfunction”! Remember, your liver detoxifies and cleanses your entire body. Poor liver function greatly accelerates aging! Reason #5 - Natural Alternatives Exist You don’t need to take statin drugs because natural alternatives already exist. Nature already has the answers, NOT the pharmaceutical companies. I’m sure you already know this…. Drugs can be used SHORT-TERM, to quickly improve a health problem … TEMPORARILY. But positive, long-term benefits can only be seen and felt using natural means. This way, you have a proven, simple and convenient solution for your high cholesterol, while being so much safer than statin drugs. The Dangers of Statins (Cholesterol lowering statin drugs Side Effects LDL cholesterol Myth CoQ10)

18:07
Statins (cholesterol-lowering medication) are heavily promoted, used by millions of people and one of the most widely prescribed drugs in the world. Health authorities claim statins reduce the risk of heart disease and strokes because they lower 'bad' LDL cholesterol. Yet these claims are contradicted by statistics and medical studies. http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2010/07/20/the-truth-about-statin-drugs-revealed.aspx http://next-level-nutrition.com/?p=6075 http://naturalnews.com/032448_statin_drugs_scam.html http://www.ravnskov.nu/cholesterol.htm#a The hypothesis is that 'bad' LDL cholesterol clogs up arteries leading to heart attacks and strokes. However, medical research has shown that: 1. People with high cholesterol tend to live longer. 2. People with heart disease tend to have low levels of cholesterol. 3. Lowering cholesterol in a population does not reduce the rate of heart disease. 4. Statins increase(!) the risk of heart disease and strokes. http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2005/05/28/cholesterol-heart.aspx http://drbenkim.com/articles-cholesterol.html http://drmalcolmkendrick.org/the-great-cholesterol-con http://cholesterolconspiracy.blogspot.com http://amazon.com/The-Great-Cholesterol-Myth-Disease/dp/1592335217 Statin drugs have become a huge global industry, generating more than $29 billion each year. However, cholesterol and CoQ10 are essential for optimal body and brain function! http://naturalnews.com/CoQ10.html http://products.mercola.com/coq10-ubiquinol Statins can cause serious side effects, including chronic fatigue, muscle pain, muscle weakness, memory loss, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, diabetes, kidney and liver damage, birth defects, heart failure and cancer. Statin drugs cause cancer because they acidify the body, and tumors can only grow in an acidic body. http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2013/04/17/statin-side-effects.aspx http://naturalnews.com/040916_cholesterol_statin_drugs_heart_disease.html http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2011/10/01/can-statin-drug-cause-liver-and-heart-to-fail.aspx http://telegraph.co.uk/health/healthnews/7250115/Cholesterol-busting-wonder-drugs-taken-by-millions-increases-diabetes-risk.html http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2011/03/28/the-stealth-drug-cause-of-diabetes.aspx https://statineffects.com/info/adverse_effects.htm http://thecholesteroltruth.com "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." Statins and Cholesterol

08:17
Statins are one of the most highly prescribed and commercially successful drugs in modern society, due to their ability to decrease LDL-cholesterol and lower the risk of developing cardiovascular disease. Learn more about the history, mechanism, and side effects of statins in this episode of Medicurio. Other lipoprotein particles: You may have heard of LDL cholesterol as "bad" cholesterol because it clogs up the blood vessels with plaque. Its counterpart, HDL or "good" cholesterol does the opposite - HDL particles move throughout the bloodstream and pick up any cholesterol it finds and brings it back to the liver. Often times, plaque formation is dependent on both how much LDL and how little HDL there is in the blood. Statins are used for doing one thing in the body: to lower LDL cholesterol. However, as Dr. Weil discusses, many doctors prescribe statins but do not go beyond medication as a form of treatment and fail to discuss the benefits of healthy eating, exercise, stress-reduction and other healthful routes. Watch as Dr. Weil talks about how statins affect cholesterol and heart health, as well as where he believes statins will be in the future in our society.

CRC Press, 1999; pp. 35-47. https://cen.acs.org/articles/87/i23/Story-Statins.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homocysteine ======================================= 💓 Natural Alternatives To Statin Cholesterol Lowering Drugs ======================================= One of the best selling and most profitable drugs for over 2 decades are cholesterol lowering, “statin drugs”. The first “commercially” available, FDA approved statin was introduced over 30 years ago (lovastatin 1997) and this was formulated based on a natural substance, that I’ll reveal to you in a minute. The most popular ones that you’ve probably heard of are Lipitor (Atorvastatin), Crestor (Rosuvastatin) and Zocor (Simvastatin). Muscle pain AND damage. Just keep in mind that your body, including your HEART is functional ONLY because of your muscles. Liver Damage 80% of your cholesterol is made within the liver, NOT from the foods you eat. These drugs go inside your liver, prevent the formation of cholesterol and in the process, DAMAGE your liver. Elevated Blood Sugar and Type 2 Diabetes One of the worst things for again and every problem in your body is high blood sugar and insulin levels. Neurological Problems Sure, it causes depression, anxiety, panic attacks, worry, etc., etc. I’m not even going to get into arthritis, elevated blood pressure and probably the WORST problem of all - hormonal imbalances. Natural Alternatives So let’s get right to it, I’ll make this quick. First, your goal is NOT to have “low” cholesterol, you want HEALTHY cholesterol levels. Additionally and more importantly, you ALSO want optimal ratios of your HDL (“good” cholesterol/lipoprotein) and LDL (“bad” cholesterol/lipoprotein). Well, that’s from Red Yeast Rice, which is a common food in Asia. The natural form of this extract, in small doses, has all the positive “cholesterol lowering” benefits, but without the negatives of the synthetic drugs. Other Cholesterol Optimizing Herbs Other clinically proven, natural herbal extracts that promote health cholesterol levels and balanced lipid levels, which are: Artichoke Leaf Extract Phytosterols Complex Garlic Policosanol Instead of taking thyroid drugs, I suggest taking Guggulsterones (10% Pure Extract; E and Z) Iodine (Kelp Extract) Cleanse Your Liver As stated earlier, most people don’t know that 80% of your cholesterol is created within your body, by your liver… and NOT from the foods you eat. This is why many times, the change in your diet doesn’t make dramatic improvements in cholesterol levels. Thus, the stronger your liver, the easier your body will eliminate and detox “excess cholesterol” from your blood. The irony is that ALL drugs, especially statins, cause liver damage and thus, will eventually increase your cholesterol levels. But, since this is almost impossible for most people, I suggest you take Milk Thistle (80% Extract) NAC (N-Acetyl L-Cysteine) - which also boost your immune system. R+ Alpha Lipoic Acid (r+ ALA) - which also helps lower your blood sugar. Reduce Homocysteine Levels All doctors are so focused on improving cholesterol to help you avoid heart disease, a heart attack or stroke -- that they forget (or don’t KNOW!) about something super important and that’s your Homocysteine Levels. In fact, researchers now believe that testing homocysteine levels is over 47% more accurate at predicting heart disease, than checking cholesterol. The cool part is that you can easily and quickly improve Homocysteine levels by simply taking a specific ratio of certain B-Vitamins Vitamin B6 (as pyridoxine HCL) Vitamin B12 (as methylcobalamin) Folate (as 5-Methyl-tetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF)) Vitamin B5 [Pantesin® d-Pantethine (special form of B5)] Reduce Inflammation Finally, one of the leading causes of many illnesses and diseases is inflammation. And there are a few ingredients that’ll help reduce it, 3 of my favorites are: Turmeric (95% curcuminoids Extract) Ginger (10% extract) Mixed Vit. E - Tocotrienols (90% Delta &10% Gamma Tocotrienols) ======================================== Thank you for watching. Please feel free to comment, like or share with your friends. Stopping Statins pt1 (Lipitor, Simvastatin...): There are many reasons to stop statins. Is it SAFE?

15:47
ford brewer md mph Info@PrevMedHeartRisk.com There are many reasons to stop statins, ranging from side effects to cost to fear to the need to switch to a more effective statin. Two studies are mentioned: one saying that it's safe to stop statins, and another says it's not. Although these studies, like all studies, have problems. But I think they both reflect biologic medical realities. The study showing safety was on stable patients. The study showing danger in stopping statins was on patients post strokes. Plaque instability is systemic; there is no such thing as one vulnerable plaque. The VULNERABLE PLAQUE THEORY is rapidly dying. Therefore the patients in the post-stroke study selected for patients with an arterial tree full on unstable plaque. The study showing safety selected for patients with stable plaques. Plaque instability appears to be a cyclical phenomenon, with cycles taking many months. So I would love to see a 2 year follow-up on the study showing safety in stopping plaques. I bet it would show regression to the mean. About Dr. Brewer - Ford Brewer is a physician that started as an Emergency Doctor. After seeing too many patients coming in dead from early heart attacks, he went to Johns Hopkins to learn Preventive Medicine. Statin Scam Exposed: Cholesterol Drugs Cause Rapid Aging, Brain Damage And Diabetes

04:06
Statin Scam Exposed: Cholesterol Drugs Cause Rapid Aging, Brain Damage And Diabetes Please SUBSCRIBE : http://bit.ly/2e9Su11 Statins are a treatment prescribed in the case of high “bad” cholesterol levels, as a way to reduce them and support heart health. However, a recent study has shown that they are far more harmful than beneficial. Statin drugs, like Crestor, Lipitor, and Zocor, are often prescribed, and only in the United States, more than $374 billion are spent on them in the year 2014. They are quite expensive, but consumers should worry about much more than the price. According to a study published in the American Journal of Physiology, statins “…impact on other biologic properties of stem cells provides a novel explanation for their adverse clinical effects. “ Hence, the side effects of these drugs include accelerated “process of aging” and the “…long-term use of statins has been associated with adverse effects including myopathy, neurological side effects and an increased risk of diabetes.” Myopathy is a condition of skeletal muscle weakness. Moreover, researchers have found the health issues caused by statins have been downplayed recently. People taking statins often experience muscle pain, memory loss, fatigue, liver damage, and cataracts. Also, statins wreak havoc in cells as they obstruct the repair process of the body. As stated by the professor Reza Izadpanah, a stem cell biologist and lead author of the published study, “Our study shows statins may speed up the aging process. People who use statins as a preventative medicine for [health] should think again as our research shows they may have general unwanted effects on the body which could include muscle pain, nerve problems, and joint problems.” Yet, even though statins are related to multiple side-effects, FDA claims they are safe and effective. At the same time, their online site maintains that “Cognitive (brain-related) impairment, such as memory loss, forgetfulness, and confusion, has been reported by some statin users” and that “People being treated with statins may have an increased risk of raised blood sugar levels and the development of Type 2 diabetes.” The site focuses on the advice of Amy G. Egan, M.D., M.P.H., the deputy director for safety in the FDA’s Division of Metabolism and Endocrinology Products (DMEP), who claims that: “This new information should not scare people off statins. Their benefit is indisputable, but they need to be taken with care and knowledge of their side effects.” However, the findings of recent studies indicate that there is a need for further research on the effects of prescription drugs, as they are linked to numerous adverse effects. Another similar study on the adolescent antidepressant “Paxil” found some rather disturbing facts as well. Namely, scientists have found certain flaws in the original study. They found that the drug is neither safe nor efficient. Hence, Brian Nosek, a professor of psychology at the University of Virginia believes that it “signals that the community is waking up, checking its work and doing what science is supposed to do — self-correct.” ====================================== statin drugs ,what are statin drugs ,cholesterol drugs ,new cholesterol drug ,statin drugs side effects ,list of statin drugs ,cholesterol lowering drugs ,cholesterol drugs list ,cholesterol reducing drugs ,non statin cholesterol drugs ,cholesterol drugs side effects ,side effects of cholesterol lowering drugs ,statin drugs for cholesterol ,statin drugs and memory loss ,dangers of statin drugs ,statin drugs and diabetes https://youtu.be/jc3h3x5KV1s Please SUBSCRIBE : http://bit.ly/2e9Su11

» The Scary Truth About Statin Cholesterol Lowering Drugs & Erectile Dysfunction

How my parents lowered their cholesterol by 30 pts in 30 days - no diets or drugs. An all natural alternative to statin drugs. ►►http://drsam.co/yt/NaturalAlternative My favorite, scientifically proven solution for quickly boosting your testosterone levels, increasing your sex drive and reversing erectile dysfunction, naturally. ►►http://drsam.co/yt/EDRemedy =============================== A few months ago I started taking a statin drug to lower my cholesterol. However, I’ve noticed I started having erectile problems. Things don’t seem to work as well. In fact, I’m just not in the “mood” or have the drive for sex like I used to. Do you think the statin drug is the cause? =============================== Links for the refferences: 1. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4023379/ 2. http://www.webmd.com/erectile-dysfunction/news/20100416/statins_may_lower_testosterone_libido Hi Daniel. To answer your question - YES! In fact, it’s been clinically shown that statin cholesterol lowering drugs do in fact, cause erection problems and impotence.1 And this is because statin drugs lower cholesterol by blocking the enzyme (HMG-CoA reductase) in your liver, that is responsible for making cholesterol. Unfortunately, cholesterol is required to make your “sex hormones” in both men and women, such as testosterone, estrogens, etc. And these hormones, especially testosterone, is required for your sex drive, libido, erections and an orgasm. In fact, in addition to erectile problems, both men and women taking statin drugs, report having difficulty reaching an orgasm.2 Another common side-effect with statin drugs is depression. And let’s be honest, when you’re not feeling happy or excited, then you’re not feeling “sexual” and you just don’t care or have the DESIRE to have sex, right?... One thing I’d like to point out on the OPPOSITE side of this story and that’s having very high cholesterol can ALSO cause erectile dysfunction. This is because of plaque build-up in your arteries, leading to poor blood flow and circulation. So your goal is to have healthy cholesterol levels - not too high or low. You want to do it naturally, without the use of drugs such as statins. The truth is, 98% of people do NOT need statin drugs to lower cholesterol. I know this because I dealt with this problem back in 1998 with both my parents. You can easily do it naturally. A healthy diet, regular exercise program and more importantly, the specific use of clinically proven herbs can dramatically lower your cholesterol naturally, while ALSO improving your sex drive and libido. Statins can increase the risk of heart attacks and there is no evidence to support patients taking them, warn researchers The report suggests statins are more likely to cause calcium in the arteries Statins block production of vitamin K, which stops calcification of the heart Report suggests there is 'no evidence' to support people taking drug Around 12 million people in the UK take statins to lower cholesterol By SHARI MILLER FOR MAILONLINE PUBLISHED: 15:33, 10 January 2016 | UPDATED: 18:05, 10 January 2016 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-3392611/Statins-increase-risk-heart-attacks-no-evidence-support-patients-taking-warn-researchers.html A new report suggests people are actually at greater risk of a heart attack if they take statins A new report suggests people are actually at greater risk of a heart attack if they take statins Statins, which are designed to help protect people from heart failure, can actually increase the risk of a heart attack according to a new study. Researchers say the drugs, which are taken by around 12 million patients in the UK, are more likely to cause calcium deposits in the arteries, which can lead to a heart attack. Statins were developed to lower cholesterol, but they also block a molecule needed to produce vitamin K, which prevents calcification of the arteries. The author of the report, published in Expert Review of Clinical Pharmacology, says there is 'no evidence to support people taking statins', which opponents say also cause other health issues including skeletal weakness and muscle pain. Professor Harumi Okuyama, of Nagoya City University, Japan, told the Sunday Express:'We have collected a wealth of information on cholesterol and statins from many published papers and find overwhelming evidence that these drugs accelerate hardening of the arteries and can cause, or worsen, heart failure.' Similarly, Dr Peter Langsjoen, a heart specialist based in Texas who is co-author of the study, said: 'These drugs should never have been approved for use. The long-term effects are devastating.' However, there is plenty of support for statins within the medical profession and the drugs are considered to generally lower cholesterol levels by 25 to 35 per cent. The medications Lipitor, Crestor, Zocor and other statins have been the standard treatment for lowering cholesterol for more than 20 years. Those pills work by curbing the production of cholesterol in the liver. Statins have also long been recommended for people who already have heart disease and have been credited with helping to reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke. A spokesman for MHRA, the Government drug regulator, said: 'The benefits of statins are well established and are considered to outweigh the risk of side effects in the majority of patients.' Last year, NHS watchdog NICE encouraged GPs to prescribe the cholesterol-busting drugs to anyone with a 10 per cent chance of having a heart attack. That change has resulted in 17million adults - nearly all people over the age of 40 - now being eligible to take the drugs.

You've probably heard of Lipitor, Zocor, and Crestor. You may even be taking one of these cholesterol-lowering drugs, which are known as statins. They are the most commonly prescribed medication, and for years, they've been touted as the best way to manage cholesterol. Now top Harvard cardiologists are questioning current cholesterol guidelines. The data to support this claim isn't as solid as we thought, and we are now seeing that statins can cause some serious side effects, such as: • Muscle pain, damage, and aching • Mitochondrial damage • Type 2 diabetes • Neurologic problems such as memory loss • Sexual dysfunction Watch or read this week's House Call with me, Dr. Hyman to learn more about the health risks associated with statins and to find out how you can lower your cholesterol naturally. Statins Mechanism Of Action *Animated*

STATINS ARE A GROUP OF MEDICATIONS THAT REDUCE CHOLESTEROL LEVELS, THEY WERE DISCOVERED BY AKIRA ENDO IN 1971 A JAPANESE BIOCHEMIST. THERE ARE SEVERAL STATINS IN THE MARKET CURRENTLY WHICH ARE EASY TO REMEMBER BECAUSE THEY ALL END WITH THE SUFFIX STATIN. CHOLESTEROL IS PRODUCED BY THE LIVER AND TRANSPORTED BY LIPOPROTEINS WHICH CONSIST OF TWO TYPES, LOW DENSITY LIPOPROTEIN LDL WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE BAD FAT, IT'S MAIN FUNCTION IS TO TRANSPORT CHOLESTEROL THROUGHOUT THE BODY, THE OTHER TYPE IS HIGH DENSITY LIPOPROTEIN ALSO KNOWN AS GOOD FAT, THIS TYPE OF LIPOPROTEIN REMOVES EXCESS CHOLESTEROL AND CARRIES IT BACK TO THE LIVER FOR DEGRADATION. HOW DOES IT WORK? STATINS WORK BY COMPETITIVELY INHIBIT HMG COENZYME A REDUCTASE THIS ENZYME CATALYZES THE REDUCTION OF HMG COENZYME TO MEVALONATE. WHICH IS THE RATE LIMITING STEP IN HEPATIC CHOLESTEROL BIOSYNTHESIS, INHIBITION OF THIS ENZYME DECREASES CHOLESTEROL SYNTHESIS LEADING TO AN UPREGULATION IN LDL RECEPTORS IN THE LIVER, THIS INCREASES LDL UPTAKE BY THE HEPATOCYTS DECREASING THE AMOUNT OF LDL CHOLESTEROL IN THE BLOOD. WHO SHOULD STATINS BE GIVEN FOR? ACCORDING TO THE AMERICAN COLLEGE OF CARDIOLOGY, STATINS ARE GIVEN AS A PREVENTION OF CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE IN PATIENTS WITH LDL CHOLESTEROL MORE THAN 190 MG/DL. ON AVERAGE STATINS CAN LOWER BLOOD LDL BY 70 MG/DL WHICH TRANSLATES INTO AN ESTIMATED 60% DECREASE IN THE NUMBER OF CARDIAC EVENTS LIKE HEART ATTACKS OR SUDDEN CARDIAC DEATHS. CONTRAINDICATIONS OF STATINS, BEING DRUGS THAT ARE METABOLISED AND EXCRETED BY THE LIVER, STATINS ARE CONTRAINDICATED IN CASES OF CHRONIC LIVER DISEASE, OR ELEVATION OF SERUM TRANSAMINASES. STATINS ARE ALSO NOT GIVEN IN PREGNANCY OR LACTATION AS THEY IN CATEGORY X. LIFESTYLE MODIFICATION IS STRONGLY ADVISED TO PATIENTS ON STATINS THESE MODIFICATIONS INCLUDE, LESS CALORIC INTAKE, LOW ANIMAL FAT DIET, AND PHYSICAL EXCERCISE. MONITORING CREATINE KINASE IS IMPORTANT IN PATIENTS TAKING STATIN AS MYOPATHY IS ONE OF THE MOST COMMON AND DANGEROUS ADVERSE EFFECT OF THIS CLASS OF MEDICATIONS

Adverse Effects of Statins are Far Worse Than You Think

07:18
Whenever drug is criticised, big pharma comes to the rescue to salvage profits. What else would you expect when the reason big pharma exists is to make profits for their shareholders. Last year (2013) the British Medical Journal printed an article that criticized a previous article published in the same journal that suggested extending treatment with statins for people with a low risk for cardiovasculars disease. Needless to say, this caused a hullabaloo for those people who published the previous study, the Cholesterol Treatment Trialists' Collaboration, with the contention that their data that showed an 18-20% incidence of adverse drug reactions was incorrect. Of course, it depends on what you consider an ADE! Most of the data identifying the side effects comes from the website of the manufacturer of the drug in question. Do you think this information is likely to include the full extent of side effects when the goal is to sell drug to make profit? For example, we reported a study showing that 40% of people on statins had muscle fatigue, and in 10% it was severe. It is necessary to add up the percentages from each side effect to see the incidence of side effects. Have a look at this URL: http://www.doctorsaputo.com/a/statins-cause-fatigue

🌾 WARNING: The Real TRUTH About Red Yeast Rice, Statin Drugs and Lowering Your Cholesterol

Does it work, is it safe, and does it have the same side-effects of statin “cholesterol lowering” drugs?... One reason for all the questions and concerns is because Consumer Reports came out with a list of the 15 Supplement Ingredients to Always Avoid and Red Yeast Rice was one of the 15 ingredients on the list. And this is a very important topic because if the right form and amount of Red Yeast Rice is used, it’s an amazingly effective and safe ingredient. The Consumer Reports feedback about Red Yeast Rice… Unfortunately, the information is vague, wrong and inaccurate. They stated risks as: “Kidney and muscle problems, liver problems, hair loss; can magnify effect of cholesterol-lowering statin drugs, increasing the risk of side effects” However, what they HAVE done is inaccurately listed “statin” drug side-effects!… Statin Drugs Are The REAL Problem One of the most prescribed drugs in the world for almost 2 decades, are cholesterol lowering statin drugs. Doctors used to (and still do) say how these drugs are “so amazing and healthy” for you. And the minute anyone had even slightly elevated cholesterol levels, doctors were quick to prescribe these powerful (and harmful) drugs. However, in the past few years the truth has come out… The fact that statin drugs are very toxic and have numerous side-effects — such as memory loss, muscle pain, liver damage, diabetes, high blood pressure, impotence and more. Red Yeast Rice & Statins Red Yeast Rice (a regular diet staple in Asia) naturally contains low levels of monacolin K, which is chemically similar to the active ingredient in the cholesterol-lowering statin drug Lovastatin. And because of this, Consumer Reports automatically and incorrectly ASSUMES that Red Yeast Rice is the “same” as statin drugs and thus, will have the same negative side-effects of statin drugs. Not only is this wrong, but it’s illegal in the US because… FDA Won’t Allow This In 2008, the FDA determined that red yeast rice products that contain more than trace amounts of monacolin K are considered as an “unapproved new drug” and cannot be sold legally as dietary supplements. And this was done primarily because the pharmaceutical companies didn’t want a natural ingredient to compete with their harmful drugs. Red yeast rice can’t cause any statin side-effects, if it doesn’t contain any “statin” in it. However, Red yeast rice still has numerous health and cholesterol-lowering benefits that is NOT related to monacolin K or lovastatin, and without any negative side-effects.2,5 So Consumer Reports was all wrong about Red Yeast Rice’s negative side-effects. Problem 1: Citrinin Some red yeast rice products contain a contaminant called citrinin, which can cause kidney failure in high dosages.4 So when purchasing any product containing Red Yeast Rice, make sure the citrinin is removed. Problem 2: Don’t Use It By Itself You never want to use Red Yeast Rice by itself because you’d have to use a very high dosage of it for it to work and be effective. The best products use red yeast rice, in conjunction with other key ingredients, at specific dosages to help create healthy cholesterol levels, HDL/LDL ratios and triglycerides. Other key ingredients you should look for when purchasing a cholesterol-lowering product, which also work in synergy with red yeast rice are: Policosanol Co-Q10 Pantesin® d-Pantethine Garlic Extract Artichoke Leaf Extract Guggulsterones Phytosterols Complex Cleanse & Strengthen Your Liver This is exactly the problem my parents had in 1998 and that’s why they now use an “all-in-one” remedy called CholesLo™. ======================================== Thank you for watching. Should Women Take Statin Drugs?

Cardiologist Dr. Jack Wolfson explains why women should not take statin drugs and offers five natural alternatives to statins. Subscribe to this channel ►► https://goo.gl/J8JRjs See the probiotic I mention in this video ►► https://shop.thedrswolfson.com/products/gut-flora-30-billion See the Berberine I mention in this video ►► https://shop.thedrswolfson.com/products/berberine See the digestive enzymes I mention in this video ►► https://shop.thedrswolfson.com/products/digest See the Omega 3 I mention in this video ►► https://shop.thedrswolfson.com/products/omega-dha Should women take statin drugs? That’s the question I get asked on almost a daily basis. And I’m board-certified cardiologist Dr. Jack Wolfson and I’m here to tell you no. The answer is not statin drugs. Yet, why are almost 15% of females ages 45 to 64 on statin drugs? Great question. Ask your cardiologist. But your cardiologist is going to tell you that basically everybody should be on statin drugs. So, certainly so should you. But there is definitely a better way. In fact, statin drugs have very little evidence of benefit in the vast majority of women. Certainly, in healthy women there is no benefit whatsoever. Women are very underrepresented in the studies on the benefits of statins, so we really don’t know how women react to statins. But quite simply, women are not deficient in statin drugs. Women are deficient in certain things and they have excess of certain things, just like men are. So, let me give you five strategies to improve your cholesterol profile immediately. Number one, eat organic Paleo foods. Eating the foods of our ancestors is the best way to get the perfect cholesterol level for you. Number two, get sunshine. The sun converts excess cholesterol into vitamin D, so cholesterol excess can sometimes be a vitamin D and sunshine deficiency. Number three, get sleep. When you get sleep, your body recovers. Your liver regenerates. All processes happen to improve our body while we are sleeping. So, make sure you get that sleep and it definitely improves your cholesterol levels. Number four, you want to get active. Physical activity. Walking. Hiking. Biking. Running. Yoga. All these things help to improve cholesterol and lipids in general, and certainly help to increase HDL function, which is really what the key is, to improve that HDL function. And finally, number five, as far as ways to improve your cholesterol levels, evidence-based supplements. And there is a lot of them out there. So, I like to start off with probiotics which are so important for good lipid control. Then you can also look at things like berberine, which is a tremendous supplement if you need additional support. Tons of evidence for berberine. Digestive enzymes, Omega – 3s, are beneficial in that parameter. Also, getting something like organic india psyllium husk powder is another way to bind up lipids in the gut and they go out the other side. So, lipids are in response to inflammation. And when you lower inflammation down in the body by leading the healthy lifestyle that I just said, you’re going to get your best results. So, until next time, I’m Dr. Jack Wolfson, board-certified cardiologist, author of the Amazon best-seller, The Paleo Cardiologist, where I have all of these strategies in there and the short answers is that women do not need statin drugs. Women need to read my book, get on the healthy plan and they’ll do well. If you like this video, please hit the subscribe button and you’ll get some more excellent content from myself and my wife as The Drs. Wolfson. Thank you.

Side Effects of Taking Statins

03:36
About 20% of adults over 45 are taking a statin medication. But should they be...and are they all benefitting from it? We talked to an expert to find out, and we're bringing you the bottom line on what everybody should know about taking statin medications. Hi, I'm Pilar Gerasimo with a Bottom Line Expert report on some of the dangerous side effects associated with a class of cholesterol-lowering drugs known as statins. I'm here with Dr. Suzanne Steinbaum, the director of Women's Heart Health at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. I've heard that statins have been described by some experts as the most dangerous drug on the market. I've heard also that about one in four adults over 45 are currently taking them. So it strikes me that there must be some either very underpublicized risks associated with statins...or we're just not getting the whole story. Every medication has a risk and a benefit. If the risks or side effects outweigh the benefits, that makes the drug dangerous. There have been a lot of people who do not need statins who have been given them, and that makes this drug dangerous for those people. What are some of the side effects associated with statins? One of the most common side effects is muscle aches or body aches, joint pain, oftentimes people feel them in their legs. Some other side effects are elevated liver tests, which could be a problem, but once the statins are stopped, usually those enzymes or liver tests come down. There could be kidney abnormalities if doses of statins are too high. Some people describe fog brain, really sort of this inability to think, and again, when the statin is stopped, these symptoms go away. But those are the most common things we see in people taking statins. What about the special risks for women taking statins? I've heard that particularly with healthy women, taking statins can increase their risk for diabetes. I'm glad you asked that question, because the headline said "Statins Lead to Diabetes in Women," but in that particular study, it looked at women who were at risk for diabetes in the first place. They were given statins, and over time, their diabetes developed. Healthy women shouldn't be taking statins in the first place, but if they are, they're not at risk for diabetes. Wasn't there also a recent study that showed there are actually more people being harmed by taking statins unnecessarily than people without preexisting conditions that were being saved by them? I mean, are millions of people just wasting their money and increasing their risk at the same time? There are many people taking statins who really don't need to be on them, but we know for sure that for people who have had a heart attack or heart disease or stents, statins are lifesaving. If you're at intermediate risk for heart disease and have risk factors—high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, smoking, family history, sedentary lifestyle, stress—and you fit into this category, then a statin should be considered. Short of that, it's not for you. The bottom line on statins—they're not right for everyone, particularly if you don't have more than one risk factor. And they can carry some pretty serious side effects. So to be on the safe side, it's best to check with your doctor and make sure that statins are right for you. Statin Side Effect Relief

09:20
If you are one of the 65 million who need to take Statins like Lipitor, Crestor, Livalo, Simvastatin, Atorvastatin, etc... Then you must watch this video. Statins, contrary to popular belief are a revolutionary class of medications which have afforded us privilege to extend our lives literally by combatting the inflammatory and degrading effects of cholesterol. But, like many and most things in life, Statins aren't perfect...They by mechanism of action deplete you of certain nutrients, vitamins and enzymes which can cause mild to serious adverse effects. The most common side effects noticed are muscle pain, muscle spasms, nerve pain, peripheral neuropathies, joint pain, liver damage, mental confusion and memory loss. So what are you supposed to do? It's simple.... Just take the Vitamins, nutrients and enzymes that you are being robbed of at the same time. Simple right! well not so simple because you have to know what to take and at what dose to take it and it has to be absorbed by your body! Statinzyme has a virtual 100% absorption rate due to it's enteric coating. Most supplement formulas try to trick you with advertisements of high absorption, but that's usually around 3-30% especially when it comes to CoQ10. Statinzyme is a patented and award winning formula! The creator is a pharmacist who was awarded the 2014 NASPA Excellence in Innovation award in New York State. One pharmacist wins it per state and Dr. Paul Faerstein (the creator) won it in the State of NY. If you want to develop an in-depth understating of how Statinzyme works then visit our website at www.Statinzyme.com or better yet if you want a free consultation with this award winning pharmacist call us at 1800-568-4826 or 1800-56-VITAMIN. Statinzyme contains 9 ingredients at the right dosages that will not only prevent and relieve these unwanted side effects, but it will also lower the risks of getting a heart attack or a stroke even more than you simply taking your medication alone. Oh, and I forgot to mention the best part...besides being available in an ultra absorbing elegant and easy to swallow enteric coated soft gel, Statinzyme gives you an amazing value! Dr. Paul created this formula to save his patients money! and the burden of swallowing a fist full of pills! He put everything into one easy to swallow enteric coated serving. Just 2 capsules and if you were to buy this formula separately you would spend easily over $100.00. Statinzyme can be purchased for under $35 and we do give volume discounts at www.Statinzyme.com, but they are not on our site...you will have to call us at 1800-568-4826. Enjoy the video! This video contains two testimonies from pharmacy owners and they are 100% unpaid! They simply describe they're experience with Statinzyme and the impact it has made on their patients! Enjoy!!! Statinzyme Ingredients per serving: CoQ10 (enteric coated for maximum absorption...ubiquinone) 150mg Fish Oil (Double Strength cold water sourced Norwegian anchovies and sardines high quality pca free, mercury free, no fishy aftertaste): 1000mg (400mg EPA/ 200mg DHA) Flax Seed: Oil 400mg Vitamin D3: 2000iu Evening Primrose Oil: 400mg B6: 50mg B12: 250mcg Folic Acid: 800mcg Resveratrol: 50mg Statinzyme is a patented formula which is manufactured in the USA and the contract manufacturer is a subsidiary of TwinLab which used to be an Anthony Robins company. It is audited by the FDA voluntarily several times per year and is certified by the National Science Foundation! The quality is second to none. Statinzyme is a disruptor. Dr. Paul was sick and tired of vitamin manufacturers taking advantage of his patients!
