How to pay off a 30 year home mortgage in 5-7 years

29:13
SUMMARY: In the above video I reveal a powerful strategy that is practically available to all, but is known and fully understood by a very few. If one takes the time to learn and implement this method of eliminating debt, one may find themselves pleasantly surprised of how quickly their home mortgage, auto loans, student loans or business loans can be completely paid off. This strategy is known as Velocity Banking and in the video I will demonstrate how Velocity Banking can be used to pay off a 30 year home mortgage in just 5-7 years without sending double payments to the bank or changing one’s current level of income. RECAP OF THE VIDEO: I start off by creating a scenario of a financial situation by taking an average household net income in the United States combined with some of the basic monthly expenses: home mortgage, minimum payment on a credit card, car payment and living expenses which include groceries, utilities, gym membership… Once all expenses are identified and subtracted from the net monthly income it is important to understand the impact of cash flow, the difference between a loan and a line of credit, how the interest of a loan and a line of credit is calculated, and how monthly payments on a mortgage are dispersed between interest and principal paydown. To help demonstrate these differences I create tables and an amortization graph. As I go on to unveil the main differences I also identify the biggest reason why nowadays most homeowners are unable to payoff their home mortgages due to the unstrategic use of home refinancing. By this point having had identified the difference between a loan and a line of credit I can reveal the benefits of utilizing a line of credit to pay off a home mortgage in 5-7 years. This is where I get into the Velocity Banking strategy which incorporates an unaccustomed method of moving one’s entire monthly paycheck into a line of credit instead of the accustomed checkings and savings accounts. By adopting this method one can leverage a line of credit to free up cash flow, gain cash back rewards, build credit history and improve credit score, but the greatest leverage created is the thousands if not hundreds of thousands of dollars in interest savings. Basic shopping vocabulary in English

11:45
http://www.engvid.com/ Use English to shop and save money. When you finish this basic English vocabulary lesson, you will be able to shop with confidence and get what you want when you are in a store! Avoid getting ripped off. Make sure you get a warranty, and a receipt! http://www.engvid.com/basic-shopping-vocabulary/ TRANSCRIPT: [Singing] "Got to buy some dinner tonight." Hi. James from EngVid. So what are we doing? We're going to talk about shopping today. As you can see, I have to go shopping because our budget -- we usually have a big magazine, and I'm down to this poor little piece of paper. But my dinner is on, so why don't we go to the board. Now, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, something we have to do wherever you go. You do it in your own country. We do it here. What I'm going to teach you is the vocabulary for basic shopping. So there -- we have two other videos on engVid that talk about shopping and specific things. You can go and watch those as well. I recommend you do. But for now, just so you can go into a store anywhere that they speak English and get what you want, when you need it, the way you want it, we're going to do this lesson right now. So the first thing you want to do is -- well, you want to know if it's on sale. "Sale" means "cheaper price". So that's what we mean, "is it on sale?" The first thing you can ask, like, "Do you have anything on sale?" For instance: Club Savings. All these foods are on sale. Regular price 20, now 17. I'm saving money. So "sale" really means -- s-a for "save". You're saving money because you're going to pay less than the actual, original price. Which leads me to the next word: "price" and "cost". For some of you guys you're like, "We know these things." But it's actually using it properly or effectively. You can say, "How much does it cost?" which is different than "price". They're similar -- not same. "Cost" means "what do I have to give you". "Price" is what -- what the actual money is. So you can say, "How much does this cost me?" Maybe two hours. And I'm using it differently than price. So similar -- not same. So what is the "price"; what is the "cost". And they will tell you how much money you have to give them, okay? Cool. That comes with the word "pay". When you have a price or cost and you give them money, you must "pay". I work in an English school, and people have to "pay". That means, "Give the money." But you can give not just money, but different things in different forms. So one of the things we can do is, we can use our credit cards. Everybody -- not everyone. A lot of people have it if you're over 18 -- piece of plastic that you give, and they say, "This is worth this much money, and you can use your card to pay with it." Okay? Visa, American Express, MasterCard -- these are credit cards. Debit. In North America, we're in love with our debit cards. It's a card that you get from your bank that has direct access to your account. So not like a credit card where the bank is lending you some money or letting you take some money for now, and you pay it back. That's the "credit card". Debit is right in your account, so if you have $500, they literally -- oh, sorry, "literally" means "really", "in reality", or "actually" -- take the money out of your account. So you can use either debit or credit to pay. And my favourite, favourite of everyone's -- I don't have any: cash. Cash. Money. The old fashion way of doing things, right? Give them the money -- transaction done. "Transaction" is when you do business. You "transact" because one thing goes to another. You get product; they get money. It's a "transaction", okay? Taxes. Every country has them. In some countries, like England -- where they speak the Queen's English -- taxes are included. So if it says $15, it's $15. But folks, I live in Canada. And what you see is not what you get. $15 becomes $16.50. $100 becomes $115. $1,000 is -- $1,150. That's right. Our taxes are not included. So when you come to America or Canada, be careful because you might actually have to pay taxes. You see this, "Incl.": "taxes included". It will be taxes -- it's good. It means price -- what you pay. Most of the times, you won't see anything, and it means "add more money". "Taxes" are what the government gets -- okay. Understand this. It's what the government gets for you buying something because they want their money, too. Anyway.

Private Pilot Licence How To Reduce The Cost Of Learning To Fly & Getting A Private Pilots Licence

08:16
PPL Ground School: https://goo.gl/9i3UDa Private Pilot Licence How do reduce the cost of learning to fly Learning to fly and obtaining a Private Pilots License (or Licence in the UK) isn't cheap but you can avoid unnecessary expense with a little forward planning. Flying lesson costs will vary but in the long run the cheaper hourly rate may not be your best option. In this video I discuss the cost of obtaining a fixed wing Pilot's Licence for flying light aircraft in the UK. But the same principles apply wherever you learn to fly In the UK there are two types available; PPL (Private Pilot's Licence) and LAPL (Light Aircraft Pilot's Licence). The LAPL gives the pilot fewer privileges than the PPL so the requirements are less stringent. As a rough guide the cost of a PPL will start at £8,000 and the LAPL will start at £6,000. Costs for other types of aircraft like microlights or helicopters for example, will vary proportionally according to aircraft type. You will save yourself a lot of money if your budget organised and available at the start of your training. If you run out of money the continuity is broken and when you return to training you'll have to revise and repeat previous exercises. So plan your finances in such a way that you won't run out of money at a critical stage. Trust me, there's nothing more frustrating! As you empty your bank account or reach your credit card limit you realise that you're about to shelve your logbook just when things are getting interesting. Flying schools are subject to the same economic forces as any other business, so your flying lesson costs may increase over time due to inflation. Choosing the right Flight Training School Flight training costs vary around the UK. You'll pay more per hour at a club with a shiny fleet of new aircraft and an immaculate club house with all the facilities than you will at a small grass strip with a portakabin as an office. Learning to fly abroad The attractive prospect of learning to fly wherever there are near constant blues skies and uncluttered airspace lures some to book flight training holidays in Florida, South Africa, Australia, or perhaps just across the Channel. The attractions are obvious and the additional cost of flights accommodation and subsistence may seem a price worth paying, particularly if the hourly rate is favourable. However, there is another cost that is sometimes overlooked. If you cover most of the syllabus in areas where the weather is often predictably pleasant and the airspace is wide open and free of restrictions how will you cope when you return to the UK? Will you have the necessary skills and, just as importantly, confidence to make a decision when the weather is borderline? Will your navigation skills keep you out of Controlled Airspace and Danger Areas? Conclusion and a warning Like any other commercial establishment running on tight margins and reliant upon a strong economy flight schools can go out of business if mismanaged or if they run out of students. For this reason it's never a good idea to hand over large amounts of cash upfront. If they tempt you with a discount for a large deposit then perhaps a few hundred pounds might be worth the risk but I would suggest not handing over a thousand or more. ###end### #### Get a video advert for your business. TEDxAsheville - Adam Baker - Sell your crap. Pay your debt. Do what you love.

In 2008, after the birth of his first child, Baker and his wife decided to sell everything they owned, pay off their consumer debt, and spend a year traveling abroad as a family. They began sharing their journey in early 2009 on the blog Man vs. Debt, now 15000 subscribers strong. In sharing their ups and downs in the areas of personal finance, consumerism, clutter, travel, minimalism, and passionate entrepreneurship, they realized they aren't alone in a desire to explore and grow. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. Finding a Job After College

05:12
http://www.cambridge-credit.org/ -- Between credit cards bills, loan debt, and a dismal job market, the pressure is on for students trying to build a life after college. Transcription: Few students enter college with the thought that, in four years, they’ll be saddled with credit card and student loan debt, and that they’ll exit into a difficult job market. However, this is a reality that many graduates will have to deal with come graduation this spring. According to Sallie Mae, half of today’s college students own four or more credit cards and carry approximately $4,000 in debt. They also graduate with more than $24,000 in loans. Between credit cards bills, loan debt, and a dismal job market, the pressure is on for students trying to build a life after college. The key to getting off to a good start, of course, is employment. After all, you can’t maintain your financial obligations without an income. Finding a job can be difficult, but not impossible for those who are determined and technically savvy. You’ll need a résumé to get your job search in gear, so start by compiling all of the information you need to create an accurate accounting of your education and experience. Obviously, you may not have an extensive work history, but you probably still have plenty to offer. Your resume is a snapshot of your background, so start by focusing on what makes you, you. In addition to your traditional work history, you’ll want to include items such as positive personal characteristics, technical skills, relevant coursework and educational accomplishments, as well as any skills and experience gained during internships or volunteer work. Bottom line - emphasize characteristics and skills that demonstrate your potential value. DO NOT embellish your experience. Experienced interviewers are keen on inconsistencies; deception can cost you a job. The Internet can help, or hurt, your job search. For instance, you could create a website where recruiters can view your body of work, read about your goals, and obtain contact information. There is also a growing interest in video résumés that allow job seekers to showcase a little bit of their personality and highlight one or two points of interest on their résumés. You should also incorporate a social media game plan for your job search. Before we continue, it bears mentioning that employers routinely “Google” their prospective employees, so you need to clean up your online appearance. If there is any material about you that you’d rather they didn’t see – such as your Spring Break pictures on Facebook – you’ll need to take steps to limit access or remove the items in question. Social media sites may be helpful in your job search, as well. LinkedIn is a great source to find employment opportunities and get noticed. The site allows you to focus on your professional traits and network with people you’ve worked with in the past, including professors, and people in the profession you’re looking to enter. When joining the site, search for contacts from your school, former employers, internships, and others you’ve met throughout your academic career. LinkedIn also has an impressive Job Search function that delivers results based on your profile, so be as specific as possible when creating your account. Twitter is another site that provides access to professionals in your field. You’ll find a wide array of individuals on the site, including CEOs, executives, hiring managers, and recruiters. When “following” these individuals, you’ll see who they interact with, get a sense of trends within the industry, and eventually interact with them for career advice. You’ll want to take care in crafting your bio and background to highlight your strengths and accomplishments. The internet start-up “IntheDoor” allows you to use your Facebook account to identify job listings at the companies where your friends work. You simply link your Facebook account with IntheDoor, and answer a few simple questions. When your query is complete, you’ll be provided with a list of companies that are hiring – again, where a friend of yours is already working - and the number of available positions. Now that’s networking 2.0! To learn more about using social media in your job search, search “How to find a job using social media.” Finally, you can’t apply for jobs you don’t know about. One of the best ways to receive notifications of open positions is to establish an RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feed with the keywords indicative of the industry you’re interested in. Each time a post is uploaded to the Internet, it will be delivered to you via RSS. RSS feeds can be read using software called an RSS reader, which can be web-based, desktop-based, or mobile-device-based.

English Vocabulary: 12 Internet words

10:18
http://www.engvid.com What's a meme? Does the internet seem to require knowing a new language? Do bits, bytes, and blogs sound weird to you? In this English vocabulary lesson, we will go over some of the more common words that you might come across on the internet these days. Take a quiz on this lesson here: http://www.engvid.com/english-vocabulary-12-internet-words/ TRANSCRIPT Hi again. Welcome back to www.engvid.com. I'm Adam. Today's lesson is hopefully very useful to all of you. We're going to look at Internet vocabulary, how to survive in cyberspace. Just in case you don't know, "cyberspace" is the Internet, the Internet world where everything happens. These are some very common words you'll see today. Where'll you see them?Everywhere. You'll see them in news reports, articles about entertainment, sports, finance, business -- everywhere. Because the Internet is everywhere, okay? Cyberspace -- huge. So let's start. "Viral", okay? This is an adjective. When something "goes viral" -- "to go viral". When something "goes viral", it means it spreads very quickly. So for example, I think all of you probably by now have seen Miley Cyrus shake her thing, as it were. That video of her shaking herself went viral. It became a huge hit. Thousands, millions of people saw it all over the world. I think another example is PSY. You know the "Gangnam Style" thing? I'm not going to do it for you; don't worry. But he went viral as soon as his video came up. Keep in mind it goes with this verb. "It went viral." "It will go viral." Many books about how to create a viral video, for example. So it's usually images, videos, sometimes articles, depends on what topic it is. I know that you know what "Google" is. Everybody knows Google. "Google" as a noun is the name of a company. It comes from a big number. I'm not going to try to say it because it's too big for me to say, but basically, they got this name from mathematics, I guess. But do you know that it's also a verb? "To google", and in the past tense it's "I googled it." And what am I doing right now? "I am googling." Now, some people will write with the "e"; most people will write without the "e". I don't really think it matters all that much. People will understand what you're saying. "To google" basically means "to search". This brand name, the brand name of the company, has become so popular that it is used for any search thing you do on the Internet. If you're using Yahoo!, you're not "yahooing". You're still "googling". If you're using Bing or whatever other search engine, you're probably still "googling" because that's the word that's become common. Completely unrelated: In Canada if you want a tissue to blow your nose, most likely you will ask for a Kleenex. A "Kleenex" is a brand name; it's a company name. Same idea. Google is that huge. "To post" or "a post", again noun or verb. A "post" is something that you put on the Internet, something you put on your Facebook page, something you put on your blog page, on your website. "To post" means "to put up", to put up for the Internet to spread, hopefully go viral, get you a lot of views, which we will talk about in a second. Now, if you keep a blog, then you want to have good posts, and hopefully they will go viral or will come high on the Google search, okay? "Blog" is short for "web log". So "web log"; "blog". Now, what is a "log"? A "log" is like a journal or a diary. So a "blog" is usually a personal website where people put whatever they want: comments or ideas or pictures or whatever or videos, in which case it's a vlog -- a "video log". And what you want... you're going to post your articles or your ideas, and you want people to come and see them. You're sharing this with the world. A "tweet" comes from the company Twitter. A "tweet" is a short message, 140 characters or less, so letters, spaces, dashes, etc. It's something that you share with whoever you want, whoever follows you on Twitter. You tweet this. Sometimes people will "retweet": They will take your tweet, your message, and send it out to more people. So hopefully, if many people see your tweet, maybe it will go viral and the whole world will see it. Maybe. "Phishing"." Phishing" is a very interesting phenomenon, okay? What people do is they send you an email, and they hope that you will respond and give them information: bank accounts, passwords, usernames, etc. So they send you a letter saying, "Oh, hi, you know. I'm your bank. There's a bit of a problem with your credit card. Can you send me your credit card number and expiry date and the code on the back just so I can make sure that it's actually not a problem?" Well, that's the problem. Be very careful of phishing. It sounds like "fish" because they're sending you a bait, they're sending you a little worm and hope you swallow it. Don't, okay?

Martin Luther King Jr., "The Drum Major Instinct" FINAL Sermon --- COMPLETE

38:43
MLK's last SERMON... prophetically ends with his own eulogy, beginning at 35:07. Delivered to Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia on February 4, 1968. Not to be confused with his last SPEECH "I've Been to the Mountaintop" given two months later on April 3, 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee. Also, there's an edited 19 minute version floating around... it's missing 3 sections and actually CUTS OFF HIS FINAL SENTENCE! Unbelievable... Comprehensive collection can be purchased here... https://amzn.to/2KkYhAJ TEXT: http://kingencyclopedia.stanford.edu/encyclopedia/documentsentry/doc_the_drum_major_instinct/ Synopsis: King's "Drum Major Instinct" sermon, given on 4 February 1968, was an adaptation of the 1952 homily ''Drum-Major Instincts'' by J. Wallace Hamilton. King encouraged his congregation to seek greatness, but to do so through service and love. King concluded the sermon by imagining his own funeral, downplaying his famous achievements and emphasizing his heart to do right.

Consumer Credit and Debt: Personal Bankruptcies in the United States - Janet Yellen (1996)

02:03:08
Bankruptcy in the United States is a matter placed under federal jurisdiction by the United States Constitution (in Article 1, Section 8, Clause 4), which allows Congress to enact "uniform laws on the subject of bankruptcies throughout the United States". The Congress has enacted statutes governing bankruptcy, primarily in the form of the Bankruptcy Code, located at Title 11 of the United States Code. Federal law is amplified by state law in some places where Federal law fails to speak or expressly defers to state law. While bankruptcy cases are always filed in United States Bankruptcy Court (an adjunct to the U.S. District Courts), bankruptcy cases, particularly with respect to the validity of claims and exemptions, are often dependent upon State law. State law therefore plays a major role in many bankruptcy cases, and it is often not possible to generalise bankruptcy law across state lines. Generally, a debtor declares bankruptcy to obtain relief from debt, and this is accomplished either through a discharge of the debt or through a restructuring of the debt. Generally, when a debtor files a voluntary petition, his or her bankruptcy case commences. The Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act (BAPCPA) of 2005, Pub. L. No. 109-8, 119 Stat. 23 (April 20, 2005) ("BAPCPA"), substantially amended the Bankruptcy Code. Many provisions of BAPCPA were forcefully advocated by consumer lenders and were just as forcefully opposed by many consumer advocates, bankruptcy academics, bankruptcy judges, and bankruptcy lawyers.[25] The enactment of BAPCPA followed nearly eight years of debate in Congress. Most of the law's provisions became effective on October 17, 2005. Upon signing the bill, President Bush stated: Under the new law, Americans who have the ability to pay will be required to pay back at least a portion of their debts. Those who fall behind their state's median income will not be required to pay back their debts. The new law will also make it more difficult for serial filers to abuse the most generous bankruptcy protections. Debtors seeking to erase all debts will now have to wait eight years from their last bankruptcy before they can file again. The law will also allow us to clamp down on bankruptcy mills that make their money by advising abusers on how to game the system. —[26] It was widely claimed by advocates of BAPCPA that its passage would reduce losses to creditors such as credit card companies, and that those creditors would then pass on the savings to other borrowers in the form of lower interest rates. These claims turned out to be false. After BAPCPA passed, although credit card company losses decreased, prices charged to customers increased, and credit card company profits soared.[27] Among its many changes to consumer bankruptcy law, BAPCPA enacted a "means test", which was intended to make it more difficult for a significant number of financially distressed individual debtors whose debts are primarily consumer debts to qualify for relief under Chapter 7 of the Bankruptcy Code. The "means test" is employed in cases where an individual with primarily consumer debts has more than the average annual income for a household of equivalent size, computed over a 180 day period prior to filing. If the individual must "take" the "means test", their average monthly income over this 180 day period is reduced by a series of allowances for living expenses and secured debt payments in a very complex calculation that may or may not accurately reflect that individual's actual monthly budget. If the results of the means test show no disposable income(or in some cases a very small amount) then the individual qualifies for Chapter 7 relief. If a debtor does not qualify for relief under Chapter 7 of the Bankruptcy Code, either because of the Means Test or because Chapter 7 does not provide a permanent solution to delinquent payments for secured debts, such as mortgages or vehicle loans, the debtor may still seek relief under Chapter 13 of the Code. A Chapter 13 plan often does not require repayment to general unsecured debts, such as credit cards or medical bills. BAPCPA also requires individuals seeking bankruptcy relief to undertake credit counselling with approved counselling agencies prior to filing a bankruptcy petition and to undertake education in personal financial management from approved agencies prior to being granted a discharge of debts under either Chapter 7 or Chapter 13. Some studies of the operation of the credit counselling requirement suggest that it provides little benefit to debtors who receive the counselling because the only realistic option for many is to seek relief under the Bankruptcy Code. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bankruptcy Image By Shervin Sardari - www.stage1.at (Own work) [CC-BY-SA-3.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0)], via Wikimedia Commons
