Watch more Breast Cancer Awareness videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/494648-Is-Breast-Pain-a-Symptom-of-Cancer-Breast-Cancer Hi, I'm Doctor Marisa Weiss, president and founder of breastcancer.org. I'm also a practicing oncologist, and mom, and also a breast cancer survivor. So I'm happy to share information with you today that could help protect your life against breast cancer. Breast pain is a very common symptom for women of all ages, particularly women who are still menstruating on a regular basis. It's because the breast is a very active organ and it's sensitive to a lot of different changes in the body and also to the influence of things that you take in from your outside environment into your inside environment. What you're eating, what you're drinking, what you're breathing in, the medicines you're taking. And so breast discomfort, breast pain, breast aches, flickers of discomfort, women use different words to describe many of the same thing. Most of the time, breast pain is just aggravating, annoying, it doesn't mean anything bad or serious. Breast pain is often just related to changes in the inside environment of the breast tissue. Breast pain is not usually connected to a sign of breast cancer. But it is true that sometimes breast cancer may cause a symptom of pain in the breast. So if you develop a new type of pain or discomfort, it's in a particular area, it's not going away, it's persisting, or maybe even getting worse, and you're worried, don't be worried on your own. Make sure to call your breast cancer Doctor if you have one if you've had breast cancer. Or if you, if this is a new thing for you, contact your Gynecologist or your primary care Doctor or your Nurse Practitioner and say, I have breast discomfort, it's a new problem for me, it's persistent and maybe even getting worse, I'm concerned". Then just have it checked out. Usually it turns out to be nothing serious but you just want to make sure.

Certain types of cancer to the breast is stimulated by excessive amounts of estrogen and high levels of insulin. Cancer has a lot more receptors for insulin than a regular cell and cancer lives on sugar and when we have a lot of sugar, it increases insulin. He also talks about Mammograms. Two Common Triggers of Breast Cancer: • Excessive Amounts of Estrogen Recommendation: High Quality Source Sea Kelp and Cruciferous Vegetables Avoid Soy/GMO Products and Go Organic • High Levels of Insulin – It can make the cells grow, divide and multiply Recommendation: Do Ketogenic Diet and Intermittent Fasting Sugar and Refined Carbohydrates triggers insulin Mammograms • Mammograms can be traumatic because you are putting the breast in the plate and you are creating compression. • Inflammatory Oncotaxis – a term that describes a condition where cancer travels in the areas of inflammation in trauma. • They use Ionizing Radiation, these little wave particles that go through and disrupt the electrons and certain molecules in your cells which actually has been known to cause cancer. *Do Medical Diagnostic Thermography because it is non-invasive and you could pick up a lot of information from that test. I recently have a question about breast cancer, what is my opinion. There is a couple factors that I am gonna talk about. Number 1, certain types of cancer to the breast are stimulated by the excessive amounts of estrogen. Now two of the best natural remedies I would recommend to help balance estrogen would be sea kelp make sure it is from a high quality source and of course cruciferous vegetables. Both of these are natural, they have no side effects and they have potential to decrease risk of breast cancer. Of course you want to avoid soy products, GMO and go organic as much as possible. And the next factor is insulin, too much insulin can increase the risk of breast cancer as well. So of course that's why we do keto, that's why we do intermittent fasting and both of those reduce insulin. And the majority of the population is insulin dominant. Excessive insulin could make the cells grow, divide and multiply. And of course what triggers insulin is sugar and refined carbohydrates. Cancer has a lot more receptors for insulin than regular cells. Cancer lives on sugar and we have more sugar, we have more insulin so it will double it sword. Let's talk about mammograms. Number 1, mammograms can be traumatic because you are putting the breast in a plate an you are creating compression. There is a term called inflammatory oncotaxis which is a term that describes a condition whereby cancer travels by the areas of inflammation. Wheezing or shallow breathing If you ask lung cancer patients what the first thing they noticed was, the majority would say it was their difficulty with breathing, or trouble catching their breath. 2. Chronic coughing or pain in the chest area Chest pain, incessant coughing, and even pain that reaches down the arms are symptoms of leukemia and lung tumors. 3. Frequently having fevers or infections White blood cells help our body to fight off infections and foreign invaders. Leukemia is a type of blood cell cancer that begins in bone marrow and causes the body to produce abnormal white blood cells, which reduces the effectiveness of its ability to fight infections. 4. Trouble with swallowing If you have difficulty swallowing, you may want to get checked for preliminary esophageal or throat cancer. It is also associated with lung cancer as well. 5. Lymph nodes that are swollen or lumps on the skin of your neck, underarm, or groin Any drastic changes in your lymphatic system should be carefully observed. These changes could be warning signs of lymphatic cancer. 6. Over-bruising and excessive bleeding When platelets and red blood cells act abnormally, there becomes excessive bruising and bleeding. This symptom can be a sign of leukemia. 7. Constant fatigue Feeling weakness in your body, and constant fatigue are symptoms of several different kinds of cancer. You’ll need to examine these symptoms in conjunction with other ones as well. As a general rule, if you ever feel exhasuted to where you can barely move without any physical reason, see your doctor. 8. Bloating in the abdomen or localized weight gain Women with ovarian cancer reported having “inexplicable abdominal bloating.” They said this bloating and weight gain happened suddenly, and appeared, disappeared, and reappeared for a long time. 9. Loss of appetite and feeling full This symptom is a warning sign for ovarian cancer as well. A vast majority of women said they “just couldn’t eat,” even if it had been a while since their last meal. 10. Pain the pelvis or abdominal area Leukemia and ovarian cancer can cause abdominal and pelvic pain. 11. Bleeding from the rectum or blood in stool This is a symptom commonly found in those diagnosed with colon cancer. If you ever notice blood in your stool, it is advisable to schedule a visit to your physician. 12. Rapid and unexplained weight loss Rapidly losing weight is a warning sign of digestive and colon cancers. It is also a sign that cancer has infected the liver. It you lose your appetite and stop producing a normal amount of waste, see your doctor.. 13. Digestive pain or stomachache having stomach cramps or frequent upset stomach pain may indicate colon or stomach cancer. 14. A red, sore, or swollen breast These are signs of breast cancer and should be examined by a physician. 15. Changes to the nipple If the nipple starts to look flattened, inverted, or turned sideways, see your doctor about possible breast cancer. Women diagnosed with breast cancer say the first thing they noticed was the changes to their nipples. 16. Abnormally heavy or painful periods/Bleeding in between cycles Several women say this is the number one symptom of endometrial or uterine cancer. Request a transvaginal ultrasound if your menstrual cycle has any significant changes. 17. Puffiness in the face Lung cancer patients report noticing “puffiness, swelling, or redness” in the face. This happens because lung tumors tend to block blood vessels, which stops oxygenated blood from flowing to your neck and face. 18. A sore that doesn’t heal Get to know the various kinds of skin cancer. Melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma are three common types. Check your skin for odd growths or spots. 19. Changes in fingernails Liver cancer, skin cancer, and lung cancer all show warning signs through the finger nails. Black spots, or lines, whitening and thickening around the edges, and “clubbing” are all signs you should pay attention to. 20. Pain localized in the lumbar spine or lower right side Several patients diagnose with liver and breast cancer cancer report this as one of their first signs. Regardless if you are a male or a female, it’s vital to pay attention to any abnormal changes in your body, as well as your energy levels. This will help to detect any signs of cancer while it’s still early. The faster you realize something isn’t quite right, the faster you can start to take the proper steps to heal your body.

A breast cyst is a fluid-filled sac within the breast. One breast can have one or more breast cysts. They're often described as round or oval lumps with distinct edges. In texture, a breast cyst usually feels like a soft grape or a water-filled balloon, but sometimes a breast cyst feels firm. Breast cysts can be painful and may be worrisome but are generally benign. They are most common in pre-menopausal women in their 30s or 40s. They usually disappear after menopause, but may persist or reappear when using hormone therapy. Breast cysts can be part of fibrocystic disease. The pain and swelling is usually worse in the second half of the menstrual cycle or during pregnancy. Fibroadenomas of the breast, are lumps composed of fibrous and glandular tissue. Because breast cancer can also appear as a lump, doctors may recommend a tissue sample (biopsy) to rule out cancer in older patients. Unlike typical lumps from breast cancer, fibroadenomas are easy to move, with clearly defined edges.Fibroadenomas are sometimes called breast mice or a breast mouse owing to their high mobility in the breasts. Breast fibroadenomas can be diagnosed early through clinical examination, ultrasound or mammography, and often a needle biopsy sample of the lump and treated by surgical excision. They are removed with a small margin of normal breast tissue if the preoperative clinical investigations are suggestive of the diagnosis. A small amount of normal tissue must be removed in case the lesion turns out to be a phyllodes tumour on microscopic examination. Treating breast cysts is usually not necessary unless they are painful or cause discomfort. In most cases, the discomfort they cause may be alleviated by draining the fluid from the cyst. The cysts form as a result of the growth of the milk glands and their size may range from smaller than a pea to larger than a ping pong ball. Small cysts cannot be felt during a physical examination, and some large cysts feel like lumps. However, most cysts, regardless of their size cannot be identified during physical exams. Deep Inspiration Breath Hold (DIBH) is a technique that reduces the risk of radiation contact to the heart. For women with left-sided breast cancer, a major concern is the dose of radiation delivered to the heart could increase the risk of heart disease. DIBH is the most efficient way to minimise this risk; however, there are other methods to reduce the radiation dose to the heart. DIBH is a technique that requires you to hold your breath during your CT scan (measurement scan) and each daily treatment. You need to be able to hold your breath for a short period, around 20 seconds, several times during each daily treatment.

The Deep Inspiration Breath Hold technique offers advantages for treating left sided breast cancer. In this technique, patients are asked to take a deep breath in during treatment, and hold this breath while the radiation is delivered. By taking a deep breath in, this primarily helps to move the heart out of the radiation treatment fields, therefore reducing radiation exposure to the heart. http://AskDrYou.com/BreastCancerSurvival/Help Have you ever wondered what the body is really capable of in defending itself against cancer? We all know that our bodies have a highly developed immune system, but what if normal breast cells could kill neighboring cancer cells? Sound too far-fetched? Not to researchers at the U.S. Department of Energy's Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Apparently, we actually do have such a second line of defense, and it's become a hopeful new doorway to understanding how this disease can be more effectively targeted and treated. If you want the complex technical details behind this report go to a journal called Science Translational Medicine and look for the paper entitled "IL25 Causes Apoptosis of IL25R-expressing Breast Cancer Cells Without Toxicity to Nonmalignant Cells." Apparently as normal breast epithelial cells develop, they secrete interleukin-25. Interleukin- 25 has been known for some time to play a key role in our immune response to inflammation, which in the case of breast cancer, means killing breast cancer cells within its immediate environment. In other words, the breasts have an innate ability to defend themselves against cancer through the production of Interleukin-25. On the flip side of this discovery, I can't help but wonder whether this explains why so many of us live cancer free for decades before we become more vulnerable to it. And if you factor in how much our cells are exposed to on a daily basis to known carcinogens from radiation to chemical pollutants in the air we breathe or that are absorbed through our skin that can trigger harmful DNA mutations, then you have to step back and marvel at just how good our bodies are at defending itself. And it's not as if our bodies on their own accord do not produce genetically flawed cells every day. In fact even healthy people can produce up to 1000 such cancer-prone cells a day according to scientists in this latest study. So what causes this innate cancer surveillance system in our bodies to fail? Although this study didn't answer that questions for us, it did say they were now adding IL25 to the current list of tumor suppressors and other proteins that are secreted by normal breast cells which kill or inactivate mutations it encounters. The other encouraging aspect of this study is that they discovered that IL25 was highly toxic to just breast cancer cells. In other words, IL25 does not harm normal breast cells. This selectivity is a result of the proliferation of exposed IL25 receptors on breast cancer cells, which normal breast cells do not have. So this natural ability of IL25 to hone in on exposed receptor sites offers a very organic pathway for treating breast cancer, and that should be exciting to all of us. Furthermore, breast tumors that are IL25 receptor-positive are highly invasive and historically have poor outcomes, making the future the IL25 receptor an significant marker in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. In the next phase of this study, they will look at five other proteins they discovered that are also secreted by normal developing breast cells. While these other proteins only stop the growth of cancer cells rather than kill the cells, it could be that certain combinations of these other proteins with IL25 will prove an effective treatment against certain forms of really aggressive breast cancers... and hopefully other cancers as well.
