Diabetes and abnormal sweating: What is the connection? Many people with diabetes will experience times when they sweat too much, too little, or at odd times. Diabetes-related nervous system damage and low blood sugars cause these commonly experienced sweating conditions in people with diabetes. Sweating complications can be a sign of poor diabetes management. Maintaining healthy blood sugar levels is crucial to both prevention and treatment. Diabetes and sweating problems: People sweat for a variety of reasons. Some of these reasons are normal and some are not. Sweating is a natural response to physical and emotional stress. But excessive sweating, when the reason is unclear, is often a sign that something is not right. Some people with sweating conditions will sweat even on a cold day or during minimal activity. Low blood sugar levels and diabetes-related nervous system damage cause the most commonly experienced sweating conditions in people with diabetes. Extremely low blood sugars cause a fight-or-flight response, triggering the release of hormones that increase sweating. When blood sugar levels are too high for too long, a loss of nerve function can occur. This condition is known as diabetic neuropathy. The American Diabetes Association (ADA) claim that around half of people with diabetes experience some form of neuropathy. If the nerves that control the sweat glands are damaged, they may send the wrong message to sweat glands, or none at all. In most cases, neuropathies cause either excessive sweating or an inability to sweat.

7 causes of night sweats Waking up in the night hot and in a sweat is one of the most unpleasant feelings. These waves of intense heat can interrupt a good night's sleep and leave you feeling sluggish the next day. So understanding what could be causing your night sweats is the first step to treating them. Below we've listed some of the most common causes of night sweats. It's important to note, though, that your night sweats might be caused by the hot climate you're in, too many blankets or even a mattress that retains your body heat. If that's not the case, one of these seven causes might explain why you're experiencing night sweats. 1. Menopause Essentially, your night sweats could be night hot flashes. MedicineNet explains that women who are in the perimenopausal state often experience hot flashes, which can occur in the middle of the night, waking you in a hot sweat. 2. Medications Some medications might be causing you to wake up in a sweat. WebMD explains that certain antidepressants, psychiatric drugs and even aspirin can cause night sweats. Talk to your doctor about the medication you take to see if it could be causing your night-sweat symptoms. 3. Cancer Night sweats can be an early symptom of cancers like lymphoma. WebMD says other symptoms that usually accompany cancer-caused night sweats are unexplained weight loss and fever. 4. Infection MedicineNet says an infection like tuberculosis, an abscess, endocarditis (inflamed heart valves) or osteomyelitis (inflammation in the bones) can cause night sweats. Other serious infections, such as AIDS, can also cause night sweats. 5. Anxiety Stress and anxiety could be causing your body to sweat in the night. The Mayo Clinic says other symptoms of anxiety include nervousness, tension and sleep trouble. 6. Sleep disorders Destructive sleep apnea or another sleep disorder could be causing your night sweats. Other symptoms that can accompany destructive sleep disorder include waking abruptly to gasping or choking, daytime sleepiness and high blood pressure, among others. 7. Hypoglycemia Low blood sugar levels can cause sweating, according to MedicineNet. People with diabetes might experience night sweats due to hypoglycemia at night. __ Ascending the Vale Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 License http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/

This condition causes the nervous system to activate the body’s sweat glands more than necessary. Often times, this can occur even when there is no physical activity being committed that would raise one’s body temperature. Those with hyperhidrosis often experience excessive sweating under the arms hands, back, groin, feet, and even the face. There are other conditions that could cause excessive sweating as a side effect, such as diabetes, gout, hyperthyroidism, or obesity. However, hyperhidrosis usually occurs in people who are healthy. Whatever the cause, it is important to note that profuse sweating can be treated naturally by addressing the root cause of the issue. A long term solution can only come from controlling the nutritional, hormonal, psychology, and environmental triggers in one’s everyday life. Can drinking a lot of water help me with my diabetes? Download Diabetes Management Book: http://bit.ly/2g0NDAH Hello, I'm Ty Mason from TheDiabetesCouncil.com, researcher, writer and I have type 2 diabetes. Today I'm going to answer the question, is drinking lots of water good for diabetes. But before we get into that, make sure you download my free diabetes management book which also includes a diabetes grocery shopping guide (foods to eat and avoid). If you have had diabetes for any period of time, you know that when your blood sugar is elevated, you get thirsty. As a matter of fact, one of the first signs you probably had with diabetes was a tremendous thirst and frequent urination. Without getting uber-technical, basically when your blood sugar is up, your body can no longer absorb water into its cells. This causes your body to dump the water and you to drink more to try and replenish your dehydrating cells. So there are times that we must drink lots of water to help us deal with our diabetes. But what about those times when our blood sugars are pretty good, is it still ok to drink lots of water? I have heard my whole life, that if you wait until you get thirsty to get something to drink, you have waited too long and you are already starting to dehydrate. That old saying was backed up recently by Dr James Pendargast. He suggest that those with diabetes drink water throughout the day whether thirsty or not. During the summer, it is even good to add a small amount of salt in the water, or a sugar free sports packet to help replace what is lost through urine and sweat. Too much water without a small amount of salt can cause sodium levels in the body to dip to dangerously low levels. A new study suggests that those with diabetes should have 1cc of water for every calorie eaten throughout the day. I’ve done the math for you, so don’t worry. If you have 2000 calories in a day, you should be drinking 8.5 cups of water as well. The ratio is about 4.25 cups per thousand calories, give or take a cc. So is drinking lots of water good for diabetes? Depends on your definition of a lot, but if it’s over 8 cups per day, then yes it is. Water is a natural cleanser for kidneys for those with diabetes, it helps flush some of the sugar from our bodies and helps regulate our blood sugar. I hope this answered your question is drinking lots of water good or bad for diabetes. Don’t forget to get your diabetes management book. Let me know if you have any other diabetes related questions.

The results are worth it: improved immune system, clearer skin complexion, better sleep, curing of acne, constipation, the disappearance of unpleasant body odor, just to name a few! Liver Failure Causes, Symptoms, Treatments If it's not for the liver, the toxins will take over your body, and you will start feeling sick. Liver Disease Symptoms, Treatment, Causes - What Are The Causes Of Liver Disease (Alcohol And Cirrhosis)? - Medicinenet Call it the terminator as it transforms toxins into waste and makes your body safely expel through poop or urine. It's how you are going to keep it healthy and little less employed. Remember that it's never too late. Opening your eyes and making yourself start right now will do the trick. Liver Disease Symptoms, Treatment, Causes - What Are The Symptoms Of Liver Disease? - Medicinenet If you feel at least one of them, it's time for you to take the health in your hands and start caring. Liver Disease - Wikipedia Sign 1: Unexplained Weight Gain When your liver is damaged, and it struggles to fight off the millions of toxins attacking it every day, the calorie reduction and overtime in the gym won't do the trick. The body has gotten used to storing unfiltered toxins in the fat cells, which is just another reason for what you feel at this moment. Your liver is responsible for going through grease. When you keep it busy with something else, it will start running sluggishly leaving the fat cells to fight on their own. The only fighting move they have is to absorb fat and make you bigger. Sign 2: Allergies The liver creates antibodies every time it feels something is not right. These antibodies are doing a great job attacking the allergens and making them go away. Unfortunately, the liver won't be able to do its work if it's running sluggishly. It's too busy doing something else leaving these allergens to develop in your body. On top of this, your brain runs regularly sending signals to your liver that the body is getting harmed of these allergens. It marks those allergens for removal, but the liver can't finish the job. The build up of too much histamine becomes a problem, as well. That's where you start feeling dizzy and feeling the allergy symptoms like itchiness, headaches, and fogginess. Sign 3: Chronic Fatigue the chronic fatigue represents the most common symptom when it comes to liver toxicity. The toxins play a huge role disrupting the metabolism of your muscles causing aches, fatigue, and different pain. Dr. David Buscher reports that the whole fatigue process gets much worse when a backlog of toxins come back and take down the entire immune system. Sign 4: Excessive Sweating and Body Odor The liver could be compared with a car. When you drive the car for too long without leaving it to rest for a moment, you can notice the temperature meter getting higher. It's the same thing. The liver gets hot when overworked. I don't know if you know, but the liver is a pretty big organ. When it gets hot, the whole body gets hot. It can cool itself by excessive sweating. And we all know that sweating could lead to body odor. Sign 5: Acne The toxins in your body can cause hormonal imbalances which are vivid through the stubborn acne on your body. Sign 6: Bad Breath If the bad breath keeps coming back, it could be a sign of a liver malfunction. Do you feel some of these symptoms? - It's crucial for you to visit your doctor and speak about the cause. Check the liver and see whether it functions normally or it got a little bit rusty. Regular bathing and a deodorant or antiperspirant keep most of us smelling so fresh and so clean. But some body odor has nothing to do with sweating: So, trimethylamine [try-METH-a-la-mean] is a chemical excreted by the bacteria in our guts that help us digest certain stuff. Like eggs, liver, soybeans, peas, and some fish. Those bacteria are great, but trimethylamine – well, it smells something like rotting fish, or urine, or both. Most of us have a digestive enzyme that breaks down the chemical for us. But in a rare disorder called trimethylaminuria [try-meth-a-la-mean-ur-e-a], your body to make too little (or none) of that enzyme. The result? You give off a very strong fish-like smell. There’s no cure, but avoiding the trigger foods and taking certain supplements can help. Researchers at the Monell Chemical Senses Center found that elderly people have a distinctive scent. They think it’s caused by changes in aging skin’s glands and secretions. It may have developed to help early humans differentiate between younger, stronger potential mates and older, less healthy ones. On the plus side for old age? The volunteer smell-testers in the study rated the body odor of old men as less unpleasant than that of middle-aged men. That’s right, spicy foods can cause more than just bad breath. Some spices, like garlic, are metabolized by your body to produce sulfur and other stinky chemicals, which are excreted through your sweat. And hot-n-spicy dishes can make matters worse: Capsaicin, the active chemical in hot peppers, can stimulate the nerve receptors in your mouth and trick your nervous system into thinking you’re overheating. Which, in turn, makes you sweat more. When untreated, diabetes can cause diabetic ketoacidosis [key-toe-ass-i-doe-sis]. Which means that, lacking the insulin to regulate your metabolism, your body is unnecessarily breaking down fat for fuel. It causes a sickeningly sweet aroma – like decomposing apples – on your breath and coming off of your body. And it’s one reason why, when patients seek treatment for body odor, physicians may order blood or urine tests to determine whether an underlying issue is at fault. That’s all the body odor stuff we have time for today, but to learn about more of the conditions that contribute to body odor – from typhoid fever to psychiatric disorders - check out our article 10 Sources of Body Odor That Aren’t Just Sweat on HowStuffWorks.com. Get My Diabetes Guide Here https://goo.gl/bYLBEz You may think this is a weird question for a diabetes channel to tackle. But a 2015 study by Chloe Eldridge found that “Current evidence shows hypoglycaemia is considerably prevalent amongst people with type 2 diabetes, particularly for those on insulin, yet still fairly common for other treatment regimens. This highlights the subsequent need for educational interventions and individualisation of therapies to reduce the risk of hypoglycaemia.” First let’s define what we mean by hypoglycemia. Hypoglycemia happens when the amount of blood glucose (sugar in the blood) drops to a level that's too low to sustain normal functioning; in most people, this is defined as a blood-sugar level below 70 mg/dl. Left untreated, hypoglycemia can lead to a coma and even death. It is very important that those with diabetes monitor sugar levels and treat hypoglycemia when it is present and right away. It happens more often than we think. So what does it feel like to have hypoglycemia? Let’s look at the most common symptoms. There are two classes of hypoglycemic symptoms - those due to lack of sugar in the brain and those due to the adrenalin response of your body. When blood sugar levels get too low, the body will signal for the adrenal glands to kick in. This signals the liver for more sugar. Symptoms from the adrenalin response: One of the first signs you might notice is an insatiable hunger. You’ve eaten but nothing you eat can seem to fill you up. If you have this feeling and you just can’t get enough to eat, check your blood sugar immediately. If it is lower than 70, get 15 grams of fast acting carbs in your body. This can come from a variety of sources: 4 ounces fruit juice 6 ounces regular soda (not diet) 4 or 5 saltine crackers 1 tablespoon of jelly or honey 8 pieces of hard candy Inability to rest at night. This could be due to nocturnal hypoglycemia. Signs of Nocturnal Hypoglycemia are: Restlessness. Making unusual noises. Attempting to get out of bed or accidentally rolling out of bed. Sleepwalking. Nightmares. Sweating. You may wake up with a headache in the morning if your blood sugar was low during the night. Sometimes a snack before bed can reduce the frequency and severity of these sleep disturbances. Some people have a strong feeling of anxiety. This is caused by that rush of adrenalin. This overload of adrenalin can cause some very anxious moments and can also make you feel panicked. You may have uncontrollable sweating even if you aren’t hot. This can be one of the very first signs of hypoglycemia. The central nervous system kicks in after the adrenalin has been pushed from the adrenal glands and this causes the autonomic nervous system to issue a “sweat order” to the skin. Shakes and tremors. Because of the adrenalin rush, the central nervous system starts to malfunction. As a result, it releases chemicals that encourage glucose production and also produce the tremors. Symptoms from lack of sugar in the brain: Fatigue can actually fall in both categories. There is a fatigue that can set in after an adrenalin rush, but also a fatigue from the lack of sugar in the brain. Either can be very serious. Emotional instability. Mood swings and sudden emotional episodes not typical of your normal behavior are among the neurological symptoms of hypoglycemia. These could include irrational outbursts, random crying for no reason which may become uncontrollable, extreme anger without cause, and a strong desire to be left alone. Mild mood changes that may not be as severe, such as general irritability or becoming easily annoyed, can also be a signal that your blood sugar may be dropping. Dizziness and light-headedness. If you experience these common symptoms of hypoglycemia, heed them and treat the hypoglycemia quickly. Dropping blood sugar levels can result in fainting. If you feel dizzy or light headed, sit or lie down immediately to avoid injuring yourself. Because the brain is especially sensitive to a drop in sugar, you may experience a sense of confusion and an inability to concentrate on one thing at a time. Your mind seems to wander all over the place. If your vision suddenly becomes blurry or you see double, a drop in blood sugar may be to blame. This is also a result of the brain’s lack of sugar affecting the optic nerve. Your sugar-starved brain may cause you to slur your words. To others this may resemble someone who has been drinking. But you may not even notice. These lists are not exhaustive, but are the more common symptoms of hypoglycemia. According to WebMD, Some people have no symptoms of low blood sugar. The only symptom you may have is confusion. Or you may become unconscious before anyone realizes you have low blood sugar...

Hyperhidrosis is a condition that causes the body to sweat uncontrollably and unpredictably. Most commonly the hands, feet, groin, and underarms are affected; however, hyperhidrosis can also occur on the face and, rarely, the entire body. The cause of hyperhidrosis is unknown but doctors believe that an over-reactive sympathetic nerve response is the primary cause. High emotion, smells, sounds, certain foods and drinks, caffeine, or nicotine can trigger episodes. Hyperhidrosis can also occur with other conditions like Parkinson’s disease, congestive heart failure, and diabetes. ★ JOIN US IN OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU AND OUR FELLOW VETERANS ★ ▶ facebook.com/VETOVET2 ▶ twitter.com/VETOVET2 ▶ youtube.com/c/VETOVET2

Do you sweat more than other people? Does a five-minute workout on the treadmill leave you sopping wet? Do you wipe your hand before every handshake? At the very least, excessive sweating is a hassle. But sometimes heavy sweating is sign of a medical condition. "It's not always easy for the average person to know the difference," says Benjamin Barankin, MD, a dermatologist in Toronto and a member of the American Academy of Dermatology. Excessive sweating, or hyperhidrosis, can be a warning sign of thyroid problems, diabetes or infection. Excessive sweating is also more common in people who are overweight or out of shape. The good news is that most cases of excessive sweating are harmless. If you are worried about how much you sweat, here's information to help you decide if you should see a doctor for a medical diagnosis. Uncontrolled diabetes can lead to damage to the nerves in your feet and the eventual lost of sensation (feeling) in your feet. Without feeling in your feet, you become unaware to minor cuts, scrapes, blisters or injury. Because you are unaware of a possible injury, this can lead to the development of more severe wounds, infection and even possible amputation of the foot or leg. This patient is a type 2 diabetic with no feeling in his feet. He works long hours on his feet and has to wear construction boots. An ill-fitting shoe lead to blister formation which eventually lead to an ulcer (wound). Here is our first appointment today in attempts to help close this potentially dangerous injury. Click Here → http://newdiabetescure.tamoev.com ← THE MOST POWERFUL NATURAL TREATMENT FOR DIABETES THAT REALLY WORKS!!! Type 2 Diabetes: Common Symptoms Type 2 Diabetes Symptoms After only a few minutes I had to go again. Driving down the interstate, it was a two and a half hour drive to my Mother's house. We'd stopped at rest stop just a few minutes ago. I "took a leak" and relieved the urge to go which was killing me as we had finally approached the interstate rest stop. I took off like I was on fire. But now, it seemed like I'd never gone. My bladder was about to explode. If I didn't pull over I'd have an accident. This went on at least three to four times an hour for the entire trip. My thirst was maddening. A quart-sized bottle of fruit juice got sucked down like a parched man in the middle of the desert. Then another of bottled water. Then more fluid, then more. "You need to see a doctor, something's wrong", my wife insisted. "I'm just sweating a lot and that's making me thirsty", I'd replied. The more I drank, the more I wanted. The more I ate, the hungrier I got. Something was definitely wrong alright. At the Medical Center when I returned home two agonizing days later, the diagnosis was complete. I had Diabetes Mellitus. After being hospitalized for nearly a week, I had to take insulin injections for the next six months. With weight loss, medication and regular medical control, my condition improved from type 1 Diabetes (insulin dependent) to type 2 Diabetes (non-insulin dependent) in just a few months. The stage had been set and the Diabetes onset symptoms clear. I just didn't know or recognize the warning symptoms. Warning Symptoms of Diabetes The following symptoms may manifest themselves with the development of Diabetes. In type 2 Diabetes, symptoms appear slowly over time and may not be noticed until the condition has developed some severity. A person may experience some, most or even all of these in a relatively short period of time. Diabetes symptoms to watch for can include: - Excessive thirst - Frequent urination - Excessive hunger - Profuse sweating at night - Inability to sleep due to night sweats, headaches and / or urination frequency - Blurred or suddenly-changing vision - Pronounced Halitosis (bad breath) - Urine with a sweet or fruity odor - Abnormally high blood sugar levels - Presence of sugar in urine - Cuts / injuries heal more slowly than normal These symptoms can be caused by excessive concentrations of sugar in the bloodstream and urine. The body is trying to dump the excess sugar through the kidneys and excretory system. Keep Track of What You Eat and Drink By ingesting an almost unending stream of sugar and fructose-loaded foods and beverages, I made the problem worse instead of alleviating the symptoms. Commercially bottled fruit juices, sodas and other sweetened beverages simply pushed me over the edge. Not only did I get diagnosed at the Medical Center, but got immediately transferred to the Emergency Room and admitted to the hospital with a blood sugar level in the 400-plus range. Normal blood glucose levels are from 90 to 120. It's important to keep track of what you eat and drink if you even suspect that you may have a problem. Food and drinks containing high levels of starches, carbohydrates and sugars of any type are to be absolutely avoided. Regular Medical Checkups A routine including regular medical checkups is essential in catching Diabetes in its early stages. In addition to these, pre-diabetics, or those at risk of developing Diabetes, and diagnosed diabetics should regularly track their blood sugar levels using a small, portable glucometer or blood sugar meter. Most of these are hand-held devices which use a small strip onto which a fresh drop of blood is placed. The blood glucose level is measured and displayed in a minute or less. Type 1 Diabetes requires regular injections of insulin to maintain normal blood sugar levels. Type 2 Diabetes can be regulated and controlled using a combination of diet, exercise and low dosage levels of medication. Some levels of control for type 2 Diabetes are also possible using: - natural treatments - herbal treatments - combinations of diet, exercise and medication These options will be discussed in more detail in additional articles of this series. herbs for diabetes diabetes natural cure natural diabetes treatment sugar diabetes diabetes type 2 treatment homeopathic treatment for diabetes prevention of diabetes type 2 diabetes symptoms diabetes control natural remedies to cure diabetes type 2 diabetes cure cause of diabetes cure diabetes type 1 cures for type 2 diabetes alternative treatment diabetes type 1 diabetes treatments diabete how to reduce diabetes natural remedy for diabetes diabetic symptoms
