It was reported this week that rock musician and cancer survivor Melissa Etheridge was recently arrested in North Dakota after police found cannabis oil on her tour bus. The arrest took place on August 17 but was not publicized until TMZ broke the story yesterday. Like millions of people with cancer across the world, including myself, Etheridge has discovered that cannabis oil not only treats the after-effects of chemotherapy but also promote apoptosis, which prevents cancer from developing again.

"Choose Only Love..." Melissa's music and message are very inspirational and empowering. Her words and music help friends and loved ones get through difficult battles with cancer. We have worked exclusively with Melissa on a tribute miniature guitar that supports a cause that she is very passionate about. The final mini guitar turned out beautifully pink! Rock Your Passion for Breast Cancer Awareness Month! We Love Guitars. It's Our Passion! We wondered, "How can we capture the feeling and affection that is heartfelt into something tangible and uniquely personal?" This search has led us to create AXE HEAVEN. Through this journey, we've discovered there are multitudes of people who feel just as passionate about guitars and collectible replicas as we do. We've also discovered that there are even more people who love music and identify with the guitar heroes they listen to. And while many of those fans don't even play an instrument, they would love to have something tangible in their possession to represent their love affair with music and their favorite artists. We are truly happy to have worked on this unique project with Melissa Etheridge and encourage you to write your story about how she has inspired you. Email with the subject line "My Story." Her website will be featuring stories throughout the month of October on our Breast Cancer Awareness Page. Vist www.AxeHeaven.com or www.MelissaEtheridge.com for more information on this very unique Melissa Etheridge mini pink acoustic guitar or how you can support a great cause!

As shared by Libby's Legacy Breast Cancer Foundation on Facebook. http://libbyslegacy.org/ https://www.facebook.com/LibbysLegacy/ "Libby's Legacy wants to thank Melissa Etheridge for her incredible tribute to those affected by the Pulse Orlando Tragedy. It was Melissa and Flying Dutchman Travel who invited Pulse survivors and Breast Cancer survivors on the inaugural Melissa Etheridge Cruise in November 2016. It was on that cruise that we talked about Pink Ribbon Gardens, and six months later, Melissa came to cut the ribbon and then to raise funds for Libby's Legacy. To have her stand on stage at The Abbey in Orlando and play this song was powerful and meant the world to us. Thank you Melissa!"

I’m not happy with the quality of this video, but I really want to share it anyway. After listening to the incredibly inspiring stories of the amazing Stupid Cancer folks, to watch Melissa sing “I Run For Life” at CancerCon to a room full of beautiful young cancer thrivers was truly an awe-inspiring experience. Hopefully the video captured the feeling somewhat... Oh, at the very end, when Matthew Zachary says “That was a first. We have a first.” he was talking about the lady who asked Melissa to sign her boob, which sweet kind Melissa did. It was dark, but you may be able to see her singing the lady’s shirt. :o) http://stupidcancer.org http://cancercon.org — Etheridge, Ford raise money for research Sept. 22, 2005 at 10:31 PM DEARBORN, Mich., Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Cancer survivor Melissa Etheridge is teaming up with the Ford Motor Co. for a song to benefit breast cancer charities, it was announced Thursday. "I Run for Life" will be available for 99 cents through the iTunes Web site in October. Eighty percent of the download price will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and 20 percent to Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation, Ford said in a news release. "I Run for Life" is about Etheridge's own struggle with the disease. "When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, it was a devastating blow to me and my family, but I knew I had to fight," Etheridge said in the news release. "Ford approached me to help with their breast cancer awareness efforts, and I was ecstatic to lend my music as a weapon to fight the disease. Writing songs was part of my therapy, and I hope women everywhere will be inspired by the music and lyrics." "I Run for Life" will be included on Etheridge's "Greatest Hits The Road Less Traveled," which is scheduled for an October release.
