Part 8 Sprinter Van Conversion - Wool Insulation

10:56
Natural sheep wool for insulation. This pure sheep wool insulation is from Black Mountain Insulation and has 2% “Thorlan IW” which is a natural powder added to make it more anti-bug and anti-mold. I also sprinkled on it a small amount of Borax for the same reason. - Some of the advantages of pure wool insulation are as follows: *Wool insulates 10% better than fiberglass insulation so it requires 10 percent less thickness to achieve the same insulating factor. *Wool is naturally fire retardant; the material only chars since there is insufficient oxygen in the atmosphere to support combustion of wool. In the event of a fire, wool will not add to the fire risk and produces no toxic gases. *Wool insulation controls condensation, wool absorbs and releases moisture yet doesn’t lose it’s thermal performance, wool can in fact absorb up to 40 percent of its own weight and remain dry to the touch. Wool insulation is able to absorb, retain and release moisture without affecting its thermal properties or performance. Sheep wool insulation is ideal for breathable wall construction. *Wool actually heats up when absorbing moisture by up to 45 degrees F, this increases the dew point temperature reducing the risk of condensation. *Wool will last for the life of the building due to the resilience of wool, glass fiber may compact and require topping up after 10 years. *Wool absorbs harmful gasses, e.g. formaldehyde, and then locks them up permanently. Man made insulation emits gases. *Glass fiber thermal performance deteriorates dramatically when any moisture is present, wool’s performance is not affected. *Wool is truly sustainable, a yearly clip of wool is available as a by-product of the livestock farming. Mineral wool depletes the world’s resources. *Very low energy required in its manufacture, requiring 85 percent less energy compared to man- made products. *Wool is a “Carbon sink”, it actually locks up CO2, man-made pollutes CO2 during its manufacture. *Wool is biodegradable at the end of its life. *Wool is safe to handle, no skin or respiratory problems. I payed about $270 for 4 rolls which was exactly enough to do my entire Sprinter van.

How Smoking 30 PACKS of Cigarettes Wrecks Your Lungs ● You Must See This !

03:56
The average smoker smokes a pack a day. This is what comes out of smoking for 30 days. I decided to do a simple experiment using cotton balls as lungs to determine what comes out of smoking a pack a day for 30 days, that's 600 cigarettes!! This is not a scientific test, it's an analogy of what could happen and what could accumulate and what it could do to your mouth, throat and lungs not to mention how it compromises every system in your body in order to try to tell you to stop smoking and stop slowly killing yourself. The average smoker smokes a pack a day or even worse some are chainsmokers that will chainsmokers from morning to night. The effects of smoking on your body is no secret and if you don't know by now, here is another reason why you need to quit smoking. There is 100 years of data and death to prove the devastation smoking has on the body. 5 million a year die worldwide from smoking. This shows why. It's never to late to quit and once you see what a pack a day for a month does to your lungs and body it will give you the fuel you need to fire up the will power and quit! Good luck on your journey to quit smoking. Remember, waiting another day could be one day too late. ● My Amazon Store.......https://www.amazon.com/shop/chrisnotap ● MY CANON CAMERA........https://amzn.to/2K36NFB ● MY RODE MICROPHONE.......https://amzn.to/2HLWO6B ● MY GOPRO SESSION CAMERA.......https://amzn.to/2K3UnNq MUSIC BY Joakim Karud, Luvly http://youtube.com/joakimkarud ::::::::::::: ANSWERS to ALL YOUR QUESTIONS about the test :::::::::::::::: * I did the same experiment with vaping here: https://youtu.be/zFyUlBpy5gU *This is not a scientific test, but is an analogy or correlation to show what your body has to deal with from smoking a pack a day for 30 days. *The exhale hose is clearly shown at 0:15. *The smoke was not held in the glass chamber which many commenters have suggested. *It doesn't matter if the machine smoked all the cigarettes in a day, week, month or year, it's the same amount of smoke out of 600 cigarettes, the results would be the same. *if all the smoke had been blown back through the cotton, the results would have been worse! *The smoke was drawn through and around the cotton, catching some, not all, of the chemicals and tar (evident by the accumulation in the hoses) and into the pump and exhaled. *The average smoker smokes one pack a day. (Google) *The machine was set to smoke each cigarette at the same pace each time. * Every single cigarette was smoked. 30 packs x 20 per pack = 600 cigarettes. . *Each cigarette was smoked 3/4 of the way to reflect real world smoking allowing a quarter of it to just burn away while talking or thinking. *It took 3 days for the machine to smoke all of the cigarettes. *The results are real and actual from the cigarettes. Nothing was altered. *The chamber was cleared of smoke between each and every cigarette allowing air to enter. *Scenes were sped up and time lapsed to be able to see the change in colour occur. *The black stuff is called tar. Heavy accumulation of tar in the hoses showed up after only 10 packs. Tar from the next 20 packs overflowed and got sucked into the pump. It eventually ruined the pump. *With actual smoking, you also blow the smoke out past all of the same organs twice. *Your lungs aren't cotton You can swap out cotton. You can't with real lungs. *Lungs do self clean to take care of dust and debris from normal breathing in the environment. They weren't meant to be overwhelmed on an hourly basis by smoke from a burning object for life. *The smell of the tar and cotton balls at the end was vile. I felt quite ill afterwards. Can't imagine how a smoker feels on a daily basis. *Not scientific but the analogy speak volumes.

Glass wool

05:47
Glass wool is an insulating material made from fibres of glass arranged using a binder into a texture similar to wool. The process traps many small pockets of air between the glass, and these small air pockets result in high thermal insulation properties. Glass wool is produced in rolls or in slabs, with different thermal and mechanical properties. It may also be produced as a material that can be sprayed or applied in place, on the surface to be insulated. This video is targeted to blind users. Your Mattress Could be Acting as a Cancer-Causing Radiation Antenna

http://www.emfnews.org/howitworkschips.html http://www.emfnews.org/home_protection.html http://www.emfnews.org/Car-Radiation-Cell-Phones-Faraday-Cage-and-Cancer.html http://www.emfnews.org/store/home-cell-phone-and-mobile-tower-radiation-meters.html Dr. Mercola | August 18 2010 The rate of breast cancer in Western countries is 10 percent higher in the left breast than in the right. This also is true for the skin cancer melanoma. Researchers have suggested a surprising explanation for this -- and for the dramatic increase in rates of breast cancer and melanoma over the past three decades. In Japan, there is no correlation between the rates of melanoma and breast cancer, and there is no left-side prevalence for either disease. The rate of breast cancer in Japan is also significantly lower than in the West. This may be due to differences in sleeping habits in Japan and Western countries. Previous research has shown that people prefer to sleep on their right sides, possibly as a way of reducing weight stress on the heart. This is most likely the same in both the East and the West, but the futons used for sleeping in Japan are mattresses placed directly on the bedroom floor, in contrast to the elevated box springs and mattress of beds used in the West. According to Scientific American: "... [A] 2007 study in Sweden conducted between 1989 and 1993 ... revealed a strong link between the incidence of melanoma and the number of FM and TV transmission towers covering the area where the individuals lived ... Consider, however, that even a TV set cannot respond to broadcast transmissions unless the weak electromagnetic waves are captured and amplified by an appropriately designed antenna. Antennas are simply metal objects of appropriate length sized to match the wavelength of a specific frequency of electromagnetic radiation." In the U.S., bed frames and box springs are made of metal, and the length of a bed is exactly half the wavelength of FM and TV transmissions. The maximum strength of the field develops 75 centimeters above the mattress, so when sleeping on your right side, your left side will be exposed to the highest field strength. http://www.emfnews.org/articles/ http://www.emfnews.org/products.html http://www.emfnews.org/store/home-cell-phone-and-mobile-tower-radiation-meters.html

Waterproof Mold Reistant Rubberized Coating for Fiberglass Insulation

01:41
visit www.elastobasement.com for more info. Dirt and organic material trapped in fiberglass insulation can become a breeding ground for mold. Small particles that come into contact with skin can lodge in pores and cause itchiness, rashes and irritation. When inhaled, particles can cause coughing, nosebleeds, and other respiratory ailments. Very fine airborne particles are capable of becoming deeply lodged in the lungs and are believed by many to cause cancer and other serious afflictions. OSHA considers this threat to be serious enough that it requires fiberglass insulation to carry a cancer warning label.

Dangers of Additives in Salt

06:37
Anticaking agents in some salt, some spices, and other powdered food can cause health problems. According to Dr. Leonard Coldwell, anti caking agents containing silicates can abrade the lining of blood vesicles in your body. These abrasions are then patched with cholesterol - which is the cause of cholesterol build up in the arteries, rather than having high cholesterol.. Silica is what sand and glass are made of. Additives with silica include Calcium Silicate, Calcium Aluminum Silicate, Magnesium Silicate, Silicon Dioxide, Sodium Aluminum Silicate. Cigarette filters take fifteen years to disintegrate - ever wonder why?

03:48
http://www.naturalnews.com/048988_cigarette_filters_smoking_cessation_lung_damage.html The filters of common commercial cigarettes incorporate microscopic, needle-shaped shards of glass wool (like fiberglass insulation) which escape into the mouth and throat and then lodge with tobacco tar in the lung tissue, surrounding the alveoli (tiny air sacs) and leading to COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), emphysema and ultimately lung cancer. Shocking new research reveals that a specific type of lung cancer which many smokers develop comes from tiny tears in their lung tissue caused by microscopic glass fibers, also known as glass wool, found in many conventional cigarette filters. These rips in the epithelial (soft) tissue fuel the development of tumors and cancerous cells due to the constant overload of toxins, namely pesticides, nicotine and ammonia, contained in commercial cigarette smoke. RED THREAD IS a miracle: You certainly did not know that about the red thread on the hand! Amazing facts about the red thread that by now you have not heard! What’s his secret and healing power? It’s worn by celebrities, serious spiritual gurus, but our grandmothers which bind him to his children and grandchildren. The subtle and spiritual dimension Our old long been believed that red woolen yarn can be saved and protected against any spells! Many cultures around the world believe that through our thoughts or by enviable views, the person can harm another person, causing her illness, injury or even death. The spell is lightning that comes from the soul of the envious to whom you envy and sometimes the arrow strikes, and sometimes misses. “Red thread” is found in Jews (especially Kabbalists), Buddhists and Hindus (sacred thread that protects, fulfills the spiritual desire or strengthens Testament). For the red thread is believed to “discourage” bad luck that man can bring the spell of evil eye. In Hebrew, a language he called “Rojt Bind” and is usually made of thin wool. Worn on the left arm connected as a bracelet. Some of those red threads are made in Israel. Sometimes it is the red thread in huge quantities obvijan around the tomb of the Jewish biblical martyr Rachel near Bethlehem. It is believed that the red thread has enormous power and that brings good fortune and guarantees the wearer magical protection. Some Jews, who fear the negative impact of spells, have a long tradition to tie a red thread on the baby’s cot in the hope that this would deter spells and summon the grace of God, this baby will be protected from every evil. Kalava is sacred Hindu thread, which is also called the “maul” in Hindi. Get out in the course of the Hindu rituals such as Yajna or Pooh or sankalpa. It binds by priests in the hands of the faithful who attend the ritual prayers. Kalava binds to the right hand man and unmarried woman, and the left arm of married women. This thread is mostly a symbolic act of intent in the mind of the person that she meets the desired spiritual testament. At the end of the nineties, the red thread becomes popular among music and movie stars in the US such as Madonna, Michael Jackson, Rosie O’Donnell, which is then transmitted to the younger generations of Hollywood. Of those who today wear the red thread around their arms we can enumerate the following names: Lindsey Lohan, Ashton Kutcher, Britney Spears, David and Victoria Beckham, Demi Moore, Avril Lavigne, Rihanna, Charlize Theron, Mick Jagger, Zac Efron, Paris Hilton, Vanessa Hudgens James Van Der Beek and many others. How healthy is working wool yarn? There are many myths about him, but in reality it’s just – myths. – Woolen thread around the wrist supposedly reduces joint pain and increases circulation of blood. – Wool yarn, also apparently affects the circulation, because inflammatory reaction begins slowing blood flow. – Also serves as a source of small static electricity. Hygienic healthiest thermoregulatory material is wool. Its structure allows skin to breathe. Moreover, it has healing properties. Since ancient times, people liberated toothaches, headaches, back pain, such as on the sore spot put a piece of genuine natural wool. You are born children temporarily placed in fleece sheep. The point is that the natural fibers of wool, trimmed and untreated any chemicals perfectly absorbed into the skin and soothe it. If using linens from natural wool, lanolin existing therefrom (which melts at body temperature), to penetrate into the skin. In this way, a beneficial effect on the muscles, joints, spine, relieves pain and increases blood circulation. The thermal conductivity of wool is lower than many textile materials. There is the belief of our grandmothers to woolen thread can cure warts. Here’s how: If a wart on his finger, tied a red woolen thread on the wrist (if the leg – the article). Worn two weeks. After take off and bury it in the ground. When end rot (for about a month) – will disappear and the nipple. https://youtu.be/paMN9SJSbRU

Rock wool insulation manufacture 1962

01:34
Rock (or mineral) wool is one type of synthetic vitreous fibers are made from rock or stone. They do not occur naturally in the environment, but are widely used for thermal and sound insulating purposes and to reinforce other building materials. Rock wool is commonly used in insulation that is used in homes and buildings. Short-term exposure can cause reversible skin, eye, and lung irritation. Workers from factories making synthetic vitreous fibers used in home insulation showed no increased rates of lung problems. Some refractory ceramic fiber workers showed changes in their chest x-rays, but these changes are not associated with breathing problems. There is no clear association between exposure to synthetic vitreous fibers and cancer in humans. A good health and safety program for rock wool and similar synthetic fibers can be found in NASA's Glenn Research Center, Occupational Health Programs Manual at http://smad-ext.grc.nasa.gov/shed/pub/ohpm/ohpm19-inorganic.pdf. The program establishes minimum requirements to reduce the risk of occupational illness resulting from exposure to synthetic fibers. To provide an environment free from excess fibers, priority will be given to the use of engineering controls such as local exhaust ventilation for employees working with synthetic fibers. For more on rock wool health and safety, also go to the OSHA webpage on synthetic mineral fibers at http://www.osha.gov/SLTC/syntheticmineralfibers/index.html . This clip is from the 1962 film, Heat and Its Control, from the U. S. Bureau of Mines, in cooperation with the Johns Manville Corporation. The film is about the importance of controlling heat, chronicles man's use of heat-energy sources and explains radiation, convection, and conduction heat transfer. The film shows heat insulation production from magnesia, rock-wool, asbestos and celite (diatomaceous earth). The entire film is available at the US National Archives in Maryland.

Natural cures for Fibroids and Painful Menstrual Cycle

05:26
http://joanneameyacohen.com I work with extraordinary women who are struggling and sometimes even suffering from hormonal and reproductive health symptoms. In my work, I use herbal formulas, flower essence formulas, trauma work, shamanic practices, feminine embodiment practices, and shamanic journeys. This work is deeply rooted in the ways of wisdom. Within this medicine bundle, there is a powerful practice that I recommend to my clients. ... Castor Oil packs. Castor oil comes from the castor seed. Centuries ago, the plant was referred to as "Palma Christe" because the leaves were said to resemble the hand of Christ. This association likely arose out of people's reverence for the plant's healing abilities. When used topically, castor oil has a drawing power that clears the body of excess tissues and toxins. Casor oil packs stimulate the lymphatic and circulatory system. The lymphatic system removes toxins and waste from the area stimulated by the castor oil pack. The promotion of circulation by the castor oil pack will also bring in fresh oxygenated, nutrient rich blood to the reproductive organs, including the uterus. Due to these effects, it can be used to decrease pain, and help in the treatment of many conditions including uterine fibroids, non-malignant ovarian cysts, fibrocystic breast tissue, uterine function, headaches, migraines, constipation, intestinal disorders, and gallbladder and liver conditions. If you're ready to start feeling some of its benefits, follow these simple steps. To make a castor oil pack, you will need the following supplies: 1. High quality cold-pressed castor oil. I use from a company called Premier research Labs. Please use a reputable and high quality company. 2. A hot water bottle or heating pad 3. Plastic wrap, sheet of plastic, or plastic garbage bag 4. Two or three one-foot square pieces of wool or cotton flannel, or one piece large enough to cover the entire treatment area when folded in thirds 5. One large old bath towel So here is what you do: 1. Lie down. 2. Drizzle 2-3 TBSP of castor oil onto one face of the cloth. 3. Place the oily side down on your stomach. Use your hot water bottle. The heat allows the oil to penetrate the skin and work its way deep into the tissues. Lie still for 30-45 minutes. You can incorporate this into your evening routine. If you regularly check email every night, do your castor oil pack while you sit at your computer. Or do it while you read or talk to your spouse or watch a movie. 4. After the allotted time, place your pack into a plastic bag and set it aside until tomorrow. You can reuse the cloth numerous times. Store in a large zip lock or glass container. 5. For maximum effectiveness, apply at least four consecutive days per week for one month. Patients who use the pack daily report the most benefits.

Chlorine - A GAS, WHICH CLEANS WATER!

07:31
Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/Thoisoi?ty=h Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/thoisoi2 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thoisoi/ Do not repeat the experiments shown in this video! So, this time I will tell you about such a dangerous gas as chlorine. In its gaseous form, pure chlorine for the first time was obtained in the 18th century by the Swedish chemist Carl Scheele by the reaction of pyrolusite mineral, or the manganese dioxide, and hydrochloric acid. For my experiments, however, I chose a different approach, a more efficient method of producing chlorine. As the main reagent, I am going to use the trichloro-cyanuric acid, which is also used as a disinfectant in swimming pools. When the tablet of this substance is thrown into a swimming pool, it gradually dissolves, slowly decomposing into chlorine and cyanuric acid. To produce chlorine, I chopped the tablet of trichloro-cyanuric acid, after which I started slowly adding the hydrochloric acid to it. In an acidic environment, the trichloro-cyanuric acid decomposes with the release of a large amount of chlorine, which has a yellow-green color. I’m storing the released gas in a flask as chlorine is almost 3 times heavier than air, from where it can be easily collected, from the bottom of the flask. Because of this property, chlorine was used as a chemical weapon in the First World War due to the fact that chlorine easily filled pits and trenches, especially when soldiers were there. If you accidentally inhale chlorine at a high concentration, what will follow is in the lungs a mixture of acids will instantly form, which can damage the tender membrane of the alveoli, as well as cause a stop of breathing. Therefore, this gas should be treated with extreme caution. Do not repeat the experiments seen in this video! After filling all the flasks with chlorine, we can now observe which properties this gas possess. From the chemical point of view, chlorine is a powerful oxidizer, that is, it can easily take away electrons from certain substances, for example, the metallic lithium. I heated lithium with the burner, so that it could melt and catch fire, after which I lowered it into the flask with the chlorine atmosphere. It is immediately evident that in the flask with chlorine, lithium burns much brighter and faster, forming smoke of lithium chloride. The same will happen with metallic sodium, which when burned in pure chlorine will form the well-known to everybody substance - sodium chloride, or the common salt. This, in my opinion, is the most unusual way of obtaining table salt. Remarkably, the well-known and used by many salt consists of the separately active substances chlorine and sodium, one of which explodes in water, and the other can easily cause poisoning. (Life is beautiful.) It just takes them to transfer one electron and one of the most stable substances that we eat every day is formed. Nevertheless, let us return to the properties of chlorine. I am pretty sure some people know that fine iron in the form of cotton wool can burn in air, the same thing happens with iron wool when burning in an atmosphere of chlorine, in this reaction it produces brown smoke of iron chloride, a substance used, for example, for etching in printed circuit boards. Also, copper wire can burn in the atmosphere of chlorine. Once it is only slightly heated with a lighter and lowered into the flask with chlorine, copper immediately begins to oxidize to form copper chloride, which also forms brown smoke in the flask. However, with the oxygen in the air, copper does not react this way because of the formation of an oxide film on the surface of the metal. There is another interesting reaction with chlorine.. If antimony powder is added to the flask filled with chlorine, then in such an aggressive environment antimony spontaneously ignites, burning with the formation of antimony chlorides. Also, if you throw calcium carbide into a cylinder filled with water, and then start letting chlorine into this vessel, you can observe an interesting effect - the burning of acetylene with chlorine under water. Chlorine can react at room temperature with acetylene, forming coal and hydrogen chloride, as well as a series of intermediate halogen derivatives of acetylene. Besides, chlorine can oxidize another halogen - iodine, this can be proven by pouring a bit of chlorine bleach into the potassium iodide solution, as the bleach contains a bit of dissolved chlorine in water. As a result of the reaction, free iodine is formed, coloring the solution into a dark color. To better see the iodine, I have added a bit of toluene into the test tube, in which iodine dissolves better and has a purple color.

Everything Gives You Cancer

02:35
These days it seems like you can't eat or drink anything without somebody telling you it will give you cancer or otherwise kill you. I've had comments on a video on my food channel recently from people who are worried that the plastic bags used for sous vide cooking are unsafe. Specifically, there is concern about a plastic additive called bisphenol-A (BPA). To set your mind at rest, vac-pack bags and zip lock bags do not normally contain BPAs. Even if they did, the evidence for them causing cancer is zero, although there are some very minor other issues. This is the sous vide video that people have been commenting on: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vIXPqMvljQ

😍 How To Heal Ingrown Toenail At Home!

02:50
The issue with ingrown toenail is quite common and it is manifested by a toenail which grows into the skin, instead of over it. This condition depends on many different factors and it is chronic and quite painful. A surgery is the most common method used for removing the ingrown nail. However, the surgery can be avoided if the condition is treated on time. Taking some measures in its early stage prevents complications and it allows successful removal. The easy method presented in this article allows you to eliminate the ingrown toenail easily and without irritating the tissue surrounding the nail itself. The Procedure First, you need to prepare a hot bath. Dissolve 2-3 tablespoons of baking soda and a pinch of salt into 5 liters of water. Even though the water should be hot, it shouldn’t be higher than 37 degrees. Steam the legs in this water for about 20 minutes. Then, try to separate the nail from the growth tissue. Take some plaster and surround the toenail with it in order to ease the pain. By doing so, the nail will be more accessible. Take a small stick or some other similar object and lift the edge of nail very carefully. Then, try to put gauze or some piece of cotton between the soft tissue and the nail. Make sure you soak the gauze or the cotton in some antibacterial solution, such as iodine. Place another gauze or cotton onto the nail and wrap the toenail with a bandage. Of course, the cotton should be disinfected first, as the previous time. Let the gauze work for 24 hours. Then, repeat the procedure with another gauze and bandage. The procedure should be repeated over the course of 12-14 days. If you adhere to the instructions described above, the nails will slowly start rising above the soft flesh and they will come out of it. In case you are unable to place the gauze or cotton place during the first days, feel free to grease it. You can use antiseptics, such as aloe gel, or a mixture of honey and garlic. If you opt for the latter, mix 1 tablespoon of honey with one clove grated garlic. Perform the procedure at night and try to separate the nail in the morning. Note: It is strongly recommended to do pedicures on regular basis later on. Moreover, consult a doctor right away if you notice any sign of inflammation. Dr. Will Cole: Your Source For The Future Of Natural Health Healthy Home Checklist for you to use as you walk through your home -- and open your bathroom cabinet, look under your sink, and check those laundry supplies. It's an easy, hands-on way to create a less toxic environment for your family. When you're done, you'll breathe easier (literally!) knowing that you've tackled the toxics that matter most in your home. KITCHEN Do you cook with non-stick cookware? Replace with cast-iron, stainless steel, or glass when possible. Stuck with it? Take care not to overheat it, which releases toxic fumes. Do you use plastic food containers? We recommend glass over plastic. Never microwave food in plastic containers. For baby, use glass or BPA-free plastic bottles. Do you filter your tap water? Check EWG's online tap water quality database for local contaminants and a filter that removes them, if needed. Do you drink bottled water? Kick the habit. For water on-the-go, get a reusable water bottle, like stainless steel (not plastic or aluminum lined with plastic). Any canned food in the pantry? Cook with fresh or frozen whenever possible; most food cans (including liquid infant formula) are lined with bisphenol-A (BPA), a toxic chemical that leaches into the food. Do you eat conventionally grown produce? Check EWG's Shopper's Guide to Pesticides to be sure you buy organic when pesticide residues are highest. Do you use iodized salt? You should. Iodine is necessary to maintain healthy thyroid function. Do you eat high-mercury fish? Ask before eating and head for the lower-mercury types (especially for pregnant women and young children). Get the safe fish list. BATHROOM Do you use air fresheners? Don't! Most contain a number of toxic chemicals that contaminate the air you breathe. Is there fragrance in your personal care products? We don't know what's in "fragrance," so it's safer to choose all fragrance-free personal care products. Always check ingredient lists to be sure. What kind of toothpaste do you use? Choose fluoride-free for kids younger than 2 and teach older kids to rinse and spit; fluoride is toxic if swallowed. Also, pick a paste without triclosan -- you'll see it on the ingredient list. Learn more about fluoride and triclosan. Do you use liquid hand soap? If so, avoid anti-bacterials -- the American Medical Association recommends against using them at home. What material is your shower curtain? Avoid vinyl shower curtains. If you get a new curtain (whatever the material), leave it outside for several days before using. Do you have extra products? Less is more. Skipping cosmetics like hair spray and detangler, body sprays and powder is less toxic -- and cheaper! LAUNDRY AND CLEANING CLOSET Are your cleaners green? It's hard to know without a full ingredient list, which most products don't have. Find out the ingredients by calling the manufacturer, avoid the toxic ones and choose green-certified products whenever possible. Do your product labels list all ingredients? Most don't, but they should. Support companies that disclose all ingredients by buying their products -- you have a right to know. Do you need all those products? Most homes can be safely cleaned with a few non-toxic ingredients: vinegar (it's anti-bacterial), baking soda, water, a HEPA vacuum, microfiber mops and cloths -- and some elbow grease! Skip laundry products you don't need, like dryer sheets, fabric softener, and chlorine bleach. ALL AROUND THE HOUSE Was your home built before 1978? If so, it probably contains lead paint. When repainting, use a wet sanding technique to reduce dust, choose low VOC paints and always paint with the windows open for good ventilation. Keep kids away from rehab dust and loose chips. Got foam furniture? Foam products (like stuffed furniture and mattresses) are often treated with toxic fire retardants, so keep them well-covered. Ask whether a product is treated before you buy and choose naturally fire-resistant materials, like cotton and wool, when possible. Don't "protect" your fabrics and carpets with sprayed-on chemical coatings -- simply clean spills quickly. What is ASBESTOS? What does ASBESTOS mean? ASBESTOS meaning, definition & explanation

What is ASBESTOS? What does ASBESTOS mean? ASBESTOS meaning - ASBESTOS definition - ASBESTOS explanation - How to pronounce ASBESTOS? Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. Asbestos is a set of six naturally occurring silicate minerals, which all have in common their eponymous asbestiform habit: long (roughly 1:20 aspect ratio), thin fibrous crystals, with each visible fiber composed of millions of microscopic "fibrils" that can be released by abrasion and other processes. They are commonly known by their colors, as blue asbestos, brown asbestos, white asbestos, and green asbestos. Asbestos mining existed more than 4,000 years ago, but large-scale mining began at the end of the 19th century, when manufacturers and builders began using asbestos for its desirable physical properties: sound absorption, average tensile strength, resistance to fire, heat, electricity, and affordability. It was used in such applications as electrical insulation for hotplate wiring and in building insulation. When asbestos is used for its resistance to fire or heat, the fibers are often mixed with cement or woven into fabric or mats. These desirable properties made asbestos very widely used. Asbestos use continued to grow through most of the 20th century until public knowledge (acting through courts and legislatures) of the health hazards of asbestos dust outlawed asbestos in mainstream construction and fireproofing in most countries. Prolonged inhalation of asbestos fibers can cause serious and fatal illnesses including lung cancer, mesothelioma, and asbestosis (a type of pneumoconiosis). Illness from asbestos exposure can be found in records dating back to Roman times. Concern in modern times began in the 20th century and escalated during the 1920s and 1930s. By the 1980s and 1990s, asbestos trade and use were heavily restricted, phased out, or banned outright in an increasing number of countries. The severity of asbestos-related diseases, the material's extremely widespread use in many areas of life, its continuing long-term use after harmful health effects were known or suspected, and the slow emergence of symptoms decades after exposure ceased, made asbestos litigation the longest, most expensive mass tort in U.S. history and a much lesser legal issue in most other countries involved. Asbestos-related liability also remains an ongoing concern for many manufacturers, insurers and reinsurers.

Healthy Skin Care : How to Remove Fiberglass From Skin

“Computerised tomography - or CT Scans - have been one of the greatest achievements in medical imaging. But it can expose patients to potentially harmful doses of irradiation. Can we come up with a safer alternative?” Scientists in a European research project are tackling an inherent problem of x-ray imagery: in order to produce a three-dimensional visualisation of an object, the camera of a CT scanner needs to make a full circle around it, sometimes taking thousands of x-ray images. How to Tie a Headscarf - Dana-Farber Cancer Institute

05:13
Watch WCVB TV reporter Kelley Tuthill, a breast cancer survivor treated at Dana- Farber, share her tips for headscarf tying. Kelley demonstrates three different ways to tie a headscarf: the basic bandana; an oblong scarf over a turban; and a large headscarf with a twisted rosette detail. Find more resources to help combat the physical effects of cancer treatment at Dana-Farber's Friends Place: http://www.dana-farber.org/Adult-Care/Treatment-and-Support/Patient-and-Family-Support/Friends-Place.aspx Transcription: Hi. I’m Kelley Tuthill, reporter at WCVB TV Channel 5 here in Boston. I’m also a breast cancer survivor who was treated here at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. I know firsthand how difficult it can be to lose your hair and have so many changes to your appearance as a result of chemotherapy. But I’m also here to tell you that if I can go on TV despite all that, you can figure out how to go out and face the world as well and still enjoy life. One option that I think is great is scarves. You can play around with them. But I also encourage you to try out hats and wigs and find the look that works for you and then go with it. If you feel good about the way you look, everybody around you is going to be very comfortable with it as well. So, let’s today figure out how to tie scarves. I’m no expert, and if I can figure this out—trust me—so can you. We’re going to start with a basic 30-inch cotton scarf. That’s a good size and will give you great coverage. You want to start by folding it into a triangle. Then you simply put it on your head. Then you’re going to tie it in the back kind of midway through your head here, just before it kind of scoops in in the back. And then to create a natural look as if you had hair, kind of fluff it out a little bit. There’s no right way or wrong way to do this. You’re going to play around with it and see what look works for you. You can either leave these hanging down, maybe hide the tag. Or you can tuck everything in. It’s easy enough to do. It’s really a simple look, just like a bandana that you might have worn anyway. Another look is to wear a turban like this one. This is cotton. It’s very soft against a bald head. It can keep you warm at night, because it can get awfully chilly. Or you can wear it around the house or out for doing errands. If you want it to look a little fancier, we have a suggestion: take an oblong scarf and twist it. It’s like this—very easy to do. Then you can put it on top of the turban, tie it in the back like so, and that gives you a different look. It just makes it look a little fancier to go out and meet friends or do whatever. If you want to keep going with this, you can also twist it further like this, go back around to the top of your head, tie it in a knot, and then just tuck in the ends underneath the rest of the scarf. Hide that tag. And then you’ve got another great look to wear out with your friends. I’ll admit, I was a little intimidated by the thought of attempting the rosette scarf tying, but after a little practice, I can do it—and I’m sure you can, too. You want to start with a big oblong scarf—a long one like this one. This one is rayon, which seems to be a little easier than trying with a silk scarf. You’ll want to put it over your head like this, so that the back is hanging down. And then the challenging part is that you want to get both ends with each hand and tie them. That takes a little practice, because this is a longer scarf than what you might be used to tying. If you have an extra set of hands, great! If not, like I said, with a little practice, you’ll figure it out. I’ve got the first one tied, and then I’m going to go back and tie it in a second knot. So, then you can play with the top here. The key is to have it secure—you don’t want to worry about the scarf all day long. Then take the two ends, shift the scarf over a little bit, take the two ends, and start twisting. I’m finding that it works well to twist about halfway down and then start to make the rows. So, you want to go back up toward your ear and start going around. What I find works is that you can hold the rosette with one hand while twisting with your other hand. You can see that there. Keep twisting around. I’m switching hands here to get the look that works for me. Again, see—I’m twisting this and going around. It just takes a little playing. I’ve tried it different ways to get the way that works best for me and the look that I like. I’m still twisting the end, and then what you have left at the end, you’re going to tuck in like so. Not bad, huh? With a little practice, you can do it, too.

TOP 10 HOME REMEDIES THAT ACTUALLY WORK

04:17
Check out This Cool Websites: http://bit.ly/2piuC2K Please watch: "5 Things to Eat and Drink After a Junk Binge (An Easy Way To Recover From A Junk Binge Disorder)" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jdho7NMBrMo --~-- 10 UNUSUAL HOME REMEDIES OUR GRANDPARENTS USED AND THAT ACTUALLY WORK The pain of an earache can be sharp and piercing, or dull and aching. You may know the cause immediately, or you may struggle to determine what’s wrong when your child is tugging on their ear lobe and crying in pain. Earaches can be debilitating, but they don’t always warrant a round of antibiotics. Olives for motion sickness Is accompanied by increased salivation, which is the body's way of protecting teeth from stomach acid in the event of vomiting. Olives contain tannins, which dry the mouth out, so eating a few can eliminate the excess saliva. Treating that symptom can reduce nausea and keep the body from vomiting. Jelly for Calluses And once a week, massage a few drops of olive oil or some petroleum jelly into your feet for deep moisture. Make sure you’re wearing comfortable shoes that aren’t too tight, or too loose. If they’re new, apply a bandage over places where you know you tend to get blisters or calluses, and don’t wear them for too long at first. Potatoes for Spider Bites Another easy and effective method is to use a starchy potato. It can bring down the itching and inflammation, largely due to its anti-irritating and soothing properties. In addition, it keeps the affected area moisturized to encourage quick healing. Yams for Menopause An East Indian traditional herb, wild yam has a long history of use for hormonal problems. Many menopausal women will use creams containing wild yam; however, research is inconclusive as to whether or not the topical application provides any noticeable benefit. Typically, only the roots are used when preparing creams, tinctures, and extracts. Nettles Cure Hair Loss Take 320 milligrams of saw palmetto or 60 milligrams of pygeum capsules along with the stinging nettles, as these herbs are believed to work in concert with stinging nettles to stop testosterone from being converted to DHT (dihydrotestosterone). DHT blocks your hair follicles from absorbing protein, causing them to die. Duct Tape for Warts Cut a piece of duct tape as close to the size of the wart as possible. Leave the tape in place for 6 days. If the tape falls off, put on a new piece. After 6 days, remove the tape and soak the area in water. Then gently rub the wart surface down with an emery board or pumice stone. Leave the tape off overnight. Repeat this process until the wart is gone, but not longer than 2 months. Baking Soda for Urinary Tract Infection To treat and cure urinary tract infections quickly either mix up one rounded teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of filtered water and drink once daily on an empty stomach or mix up half a teaspoon instead and drink twice daily on an empty stomach. Celery for Bad Breath Celery may help to prevent bad breath because it is a fibre-rich food that causes increased saliva production. Saliva helps wash away food particles (even small ones you can’t see), which helps prevent the build-up the bacteria-laden film on teeth known as plaque. Both food particles and plaque can cause bad breath. Jelly for Corns and Calluses Apply petroleum jelly or lanolin hand cream to corns or calluses to soften them. Use doughnut-shaped pads that fit over a corn and decrease pressure and friction. They are available at most drug stores. Place cotton, lamb's wool, or mole skin between the toes to cushion any corns in these areas. Lemons for Earache Lemon balm has antiseptic and anti-viral properties that help cure infection. Process: Apply lemon balm to the inside of the infected ear. Repeat twice daily. _Thanks For Watching!!!! _Please Subscribe For More Motivational Videos Share | Like | Subscribe ➨Support Us On Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/24physic Video URL : Channel URL : https://goo.gl/2oxsfF Subscribe : http://goo.gl/i8ji7c =================================================== Blog : http://24physic.blogspot.com/ =================================================== Stay connected with us: Twitter : https://twitter.com/24physic Google Plus : https://goo.gl/NKyziY Subscribe For More : http://goo.gl/i8ji7c =================================================== Best Social Media Marketing Site In South Africa for kick start your social accounts and influence others to follow and like your posts and videos, for more visit: https://digitals.co.za ===================================================
