Toothache or tooth pain can often be caused when the nerve to a tooth is irritated, but there are numerous other causes for tooth pain. Dental infection, gum disease, plaque, dental decay, injury, cracked teeth, poorly placed fillings or crowns, failing or leaking fillings or crowns, or loss of a tooth (including tooth extractions), temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, and obstructive sleep apnea are all common causes of dental pain. One of the worst known and most annoying pains of all is the tooth pain, which is also completely unbearable. In fact this pain is so intense that distracts you from any obligation, puts you in a bad mood and you can’t eat freely as you always do. The best option to cure the tooth pain is to run to your trusted dentist. However, toothache usually appears unexpected, in the late evening hours, which is inappropriate time to go to your dentist. Or imagine you’re traveling away or you can’t go to your dentist for some reason. What will you do to help yourself or help your children? That’s why all people should know about this homemade remedy which is very effective and provides instant relief. The most common type of dental abscess is a periapical abscess, and the second most common is a periodontal abscess. In a periapical abscess, usually the origin is a bacterial infection that has accumulated in the soft, often dead, pulp of the tooth. This can be caused by tooth decay, broken teeth or extensive periodontal disease (or combinations of these factors). A failed root canal treatment may also create a similar abscess. A dental abscess is a type of odontogenic infection, although commonly the latter term is applied to an infection which has spread outside the local region around the causative tooth

Controversy? Not For Me! In a world-view, through a lens not often spoken about nor allowed, by the Orwellian double-speak and thought-control elite consensus, one may entertain the idea of Global Population Reduction as a geopolitical fact. The late Prince Bernhard, and his colleague Prince Phillip of the English royal family of the once identified “World Wild Life Fund,” advocated the reduction of world population often by unimaginably amazing means—GMO, atrazine and glyphosate, planned parenthood and condoms, to name a few. In this pogrom of oligarchical elite internationalists, the eventual goal is to secure human population below 1B ostensibly to save mother Earth. One of the means to do this is over drugging our youth—as happened in the dental office in Kailua Town, island of O’ahu, of the three year old who subsequently passed away. A second is the preoccupation with prescription drugs for any sign or symptom for any age human; and, a third the termination of life of our elders on a cost-benefit ration, death panels. This is not only so with Affordable Health Care Act (Obama Care) but with the recent disclosures of a “veterans waiting lists for treatment” with the VA Hospitals. Another more-subtle means is unneeded hospitalizations and surgeries. It is common knowledge that to maintain your health, while somewhat out of sorts, one best avoid the hospitals since they are the most toxic places with myriads of microorganisms, some of which are not treatable with or current array of antibiotics—superbug resistance. In dental surgery we (I do not!) advocate, unlike our medical colleagues, the retention of gangrenous tissues within the oral cavity. You may know them as “root canals.” Controversy abounded 100 years ago about these “root cadaver-canals” but that was swept under the rug of dental history, about 1945. Well evidenced now is the oral-systemic relationship to arthritic conditions and pain, “oral sepsis.” One hundred years ago, however, we did not have so-called modern dental implants and their open wounds inviting infection. I liken them to stakes being driven into the jaws, being hit with poisoned arrows. A known fact is that 80% of these dental implants are immediately attended with “peri-implant mucositis,” pain, swelling, similar to “gingivitis,” or “periodontitis.” Periodontal medicine now encompasses both periodontal disease and per-implant disease—infected open wounds. Orthopedic surgeons, with whom I associate, often remark to me about the blackness and cheese like quality of the bone of the spinal column when they enter a year later to retrieve these rusted titanium screws, exactly the same as dental implants. My experience is the same! Unlike the orthopedic surgeons, I send tissue samples routinely to Queen’s Medical Center for histo-pathologicial review and get reports back such as, “present are marked acute/chronic inflammation, fibrosis, granulation tissue, reactive bone, necrotic (dead) bone, cysts, odontogenic tumors, non-suppurative condensing osteitis, abscesses with actinomyces,” (a gram negative fungal-bacteria which produces pus in the body—like candida). My over 30 years of clinical scientific research has 240 samples that verify the above conditions around root canal teeth and dental implants. Google “Endo- Endotoxemia: Our Current Dilemma” or look for the work of Weston Price, DDS or George Meinigs’ book “Root Canal Cover-up Exposed.” Why are so many of us in our early years—30 through 50s—and especially 60s, 70s, and 80s chronically ill? Why are so many of us facing an early death or debilitation? Have we ever considered the “Controversy” regarding certain depopulation policies of Oligarchy that trickle down to dental or medical education? Why do you shake your head? Have you looked into this? 1984 by Orwell is true today! Especially those who say, without research or inquiry, “give me a break...you’ve got to be kidding us doc.” No I ain’t! To dispel doubt, I suggest you visit the web sites of the International Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine, the Holistic Dental Association, or the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology. Here you will be immersed in informational-awareness you’ll not get from your local doctor. I have no doubt about this pogrom, having been in the profession for 50 years. In June I’ll attend an international conference centered on the maintenance of dental implants titled, “Implant Complications and Management,” and, “Current Approaches in Correcting Soft Tissue Loss, Infections and Deformities Around Implants” at my alma mater, Michigan. In medical terms, a fistula is defined as a non-natural or non pre-existing tube connecting the inflammation centre or an organ with the interior body parts and/ or exterior surface of the body. When inflammation persists at a particular site inside the body for a long period, it creates puss and may eventually lead to the formation of a puss corridor. This puss corridor then reaches the surface and causes a gum boil. The puss is released temporarily through the gum boil but the inflammation is still not controlled and the puss corridor gets lined with a special type of cells while the body tries to isolate this segment. Thus a fistula is formed. Parulis fistula also called as gum boils are not extremely painful and hence may fail to seek the immediate attention of the patient to approach a dentist. In due course of time, the infection tends to grow more and damages the teeth bone further and further. Hence, the bone defect grows larger in the case of Parulis fistulae. Treating dental abscesses may involve root canal treatments or in more severe cases be followed with root tip resection. In this procedure, dental abscesses are operated and the root tip is removed along with the fistula corridor formed due to the infection. Fistula corridors in dental abscesses tend to heal naturally when the cause has been removed. Watch this video to find out more about how a gum boil is formed and how it can be treated. http://www.checkdent.com

Just one word is enough to describe toothache. The throbbing pain around your teeth or jaws may even radiate to the cheeks and ears. • Tooth decay • Exposed tooth root • Cracked tooth • Damaged filling • Gum disease • Wisdom tooth... are some of the factors that trigger toothache. Rinsing your mouth with warm salt water is perhaps the most common home remedy for this ailment. But there are some more worth trying. Home Remedy 1 • Take some ground pepper. • Add an equal amount of salt. • Put a little water. • Mix it to make a paste. • Apply this on the aching tooth. Home Remedy 2 • Crush a garlic clove. You could crush it with the broad side of a knife. • Put a little table salt or black salt on it. • Apply it on the affected area. Home Remedy 3 • Grind 2 cloves. • Add a little olive oil or any vegetable oil. • Mix it. • Apply on the affected area. Tips • If there is swelling along with the pain, chew a piece of raw onion or place it around the affected tooth to kill the germs. • Follow good oral hygiene to prevent and control such problems. • Make sure you rinse your mouth after eating, especially after meals. • Avoid taking foods and drinks with high sugar content. Don't smoke; it can worsen your dental problems. • If the pain is severe or does not subside within a couple of days, consult a dentist. Similarly, do not ignore symptoms like fever and swelling around the affected tooth as it may be a sign of an abscess. • Do not put off your regular visits to the dentist as they help detect potential dental problems early on.

The best chances of having a successful root canal is the first time around. If in the first time all the steps are carried out systematically then we all can have a successful root canal done. It’s not going to be as simple as the first time as the tooth is new and you open up the tooth and you have done the access, the irrigation and the filing. You do have to see the x-rays and the damage to the tooth and we decide what can be done to save the tooth. if the x-ray shows more of a short or less of an inflammation that can be done, then a re-RCT van be done then successfully, that is the number one thing that you will do for a failed RCT. How easy that is going to be is questionable. If everything is straightforward and you are able to access the canals well, the definitely a re-RCT. If there is a lot of periapical damage then we have to decide if there has to be an apicocectomy. Apicocectomy is nothing but we are making sure that the tooth which can be filled form the top, but at the same time if the bone area is destroyed, then we have to go from the tip of the root to complete the filing so the bone can recover and heal well. But either before you start this if there are any vertical cracks or any cracks in the vertical plane, if the tooth is super compromised, then that is the call that you have to take. That is the call that you have to take when extracting the tooth is better option because the longer you wait, there is more of bone damage, a bone damage, the more damage it is going to cause and eventually when you have to pull the tooth out, having to pull the tooth out especially in an endodontic treated tooth area for the bone which is compromised, it takes a long time to heal and recover and an implant has to be placed. Along with that if you are letting the bone to get infected, you are compromising the adjacent teeth along with that. So first you have to see if the tooth can be saved by a re-RCT or re-RCT followed by apicectomy or reimplnantation can be done, though the success rate is quite less, where the tooth is pulled out and RCT done and reimplanted, followed by implants if none of this works.

At http://www.thegentledentist.com Dr. Antolak has a wide variety of dental procedures that he is capable of doing including saving teeth that may need to be removed. The following video shows such a procedure. There is some graphic video present so if you are squeamish about blood than you may not want to watch this. When a root canal fails you may develop drainage and swelling at the end of the root. This swelling can come from a lack of coverage over the crown of the tooth and bacteria enters the root, contaminates the root canal filling and enters the bone. The pressure from the puss will create a hole in the bone and then balloon out the soft gum tissue. This usually will require extraction and replacement with an implant. Sometimes under the right circumstance it may be possible to have this procedure done to save the tooth. If you have any questions you can call our Shelby Twp. office at 586.247.3500

The safe, simple, $10 homeopathic medicine alternative that saved a patient from a costly root canal. http://healthgurumike.com/homeopathic-medicine-guide/ As I explain in this video, in some cases there is serious decay or destruction of the tooth, in which case root canal alternatives such as this homeopathic medicine would not suffice. Cavities are a type of tooth decay that occur when certain bacteria produces an acid that destroys the tooth’s enamel. Its so powerful that it also destroys the underlying layer (the dentin). Not many people know that it's actually possible to reverse it. There are several ways to naturally reverse cavities. According to a study published in the British Medical Journal, cavities and tooth decay can potentially be reversed with a change in diet. In this study 62 children with cavities were divided into three diet groups. Group 1 ate a standard diet plus oatmeal, rich in phytic acid. Group 2 ate a normal diet and supplemented with Vitamin D, while Group 3 ate a grain-free diet and also took Vitamin D. Researchers found that Group 1, who had a diet high in grains and phytic acid, had an increase in cavities. Group 2 showed improvements in cavities, while Group 3, who followed a grain-free diet with nutrient-rich foods and a Vitamin D supplement, saw the greatest improvements. Nearly all of the cavities in Group 3’s participants were healed.kid teeth Many doctors and dentists have backed the findings of this study, suggesting that diet can in fact help those suffering with cavities to reverse their tooth decay. There are four main things that contribute to tooth decay: Lack of minerals in the diet (deficiencies of magnesium, calcium and phosphorus) Lack of fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E and K) Too much consumption of phytic acid-rich foods Too much consumption of processed sugar Natural Ways to Reverse Cavities 1. Remove Sugar For healthy, cavity-free teeth, sugar cannot be a part of your diet. Not only does it feed oral bacteria that prevents a healthy flow of dental fluids, it’s also highly acidic, allowing it to decalcify and demineralize the structural content of teeth! 2. Consume Nutrient-Rich Foods Beating tooth decay requires an increase in fat-soluable vitamins and minerals. A diet full of vegetables – especially leafy green vegetables, and foods high in healthy fats such as coconut oil and avocado, along with nuts and seeds can help create the ideal diet for battling tooth decay. 3. Eliminate Phytic Acid Phytic acid is a mineral blocker and enzyme inhibitor that’s found in grains, nuts, seeds and beans that are not organic or GMO-free. It can cause serious health problems, such as mineral deficiencies and osteoporosis. Phytic acid prevents you from absorbing the minerals in your food, while leaching minerals out of your body, bones and teeth. Avoid foods high in phytic acid by choosing organic and GMO-free. 4. Try Oil Pulling Oil pulling has been used for centuries as an oral detoxification procedure. Simply swish a tablespoon of coconut oil in your mouth for 20 minutes, then spit the oil into the trash. If 20 minutes is too long, start with 3-5 minutes. Oil pulling has been praised for its ability to treat numerous health issues, from gingivitis to headaches.shutterstock_216984226 5. Use Mineralizing Toothpaste Fluoride-free toothpaste are expensice, but there are some brands that are more affordable. You can also make your own remineralizing toothpaste at home using: 3 tablespoons of food grade diatomaceous earth clay 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda 1/4 teaspoon mint-flavored chlorophyll 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil 1 tablespoon filtered water

A cyst is a lining that is an epithelial lining inside the bone which has got a fluid or a semi fluid inside the lining. It is either attached to the bone causing bone loss around the area. After the surgery, there is recurrence of cyst. There are lot of reason for that. We have to understand if it is really a cyst or if it is something else, if it is a benign tumour or a malignant tumour. We have to understand what kind of surgery has been done, if it is partially excised or it is completely removed from the area. So what happens in that area is little bit of healthy bone is also removed. These are all in microscopic level. Sometimes, there is some residual epithelial tissue or infected tissue which is left over. However assessment, regular follow up and understanding of what has happened inside the mouth will give the patient as well as the clinician a better idea especially in a surgical perspective. The surgical perspective has got many other parameters like the maintenance by the patient, the medication taken by the patient, the duration of the cyst, and other things are very important to assess the situation like this.
