Poor quality video review about cyclobenzaprine and its disposal in a rural community and the wicked effects felt by a sober man. I know they affect everybody differently, but take it from me if you are tempted to eat, smoke or inhale these things, they are pure chemical nastiness, and the benefits are significantly outweighed by the costs. I chose to dispose of them by fire because of the risks involved with disposing of them in a small community.

It was touted as a miracle pill: a narcotic pain reliever that could change the lives of people suffering from chronic pain, but with little -- so its maker claimed, and thousands of doctors believed -- risk of addiction. Since OxyContin was introduced in 1996, Canada has recorded the second-highest number of prescription opioid painkiller addictions -- and the world's second-highest death rate from overdoses. "It's helping your pain, but then you get immune to it, so then you go to the family doctor and he says 'Well, you're gonna need more,'" a woman who became addicted to OxyContin tells the fifth estate's Linden MacIntyre. "So he puts you on the 40 milligram (dose) and you're on that for a month, and then you get used to that dose and he puts you on the 80s." But how did a little pill that only appeared in 1996 become so big, so fast? In 1998, Canadian sales were just a few million dollars. Twelve years later they had soared to $243 million. In the U.S., sales were $3.5 billion in 2010. Though there were differences in corporate style and legal structure between Purdue in the U.S and in Canada, a similar marketing approach proved wildly successful. the fifth estate examines why medical schools, GPs and specialists in pain clinics readily embraced the drug at first, and why some have now changed their minds. OxyContin was dropped from provincial health plans in Ontario, Saskatchewan and Atlantic Canada. The manufacturer has now stopped making it altogether, replacing it with a new formulation known as OxyNeo. But is it too little, too late? Did the drug's maker low-ball the risks? Did they know their time-release miracle pill was really a time bomb of addiction, waiting to go off? Opiate withdrawal is tough, but fearing it will paralyze you and can keep you from ever getting clean. I was personally scared of death of getting clean. Luckily I received some help because I was close to death myself. Fear is something that can paralyze you, but it can also motivate you and help you accomplish what you want to achieve. Opiate withdrawal is very hard to get through. It's not just physical, it's also mental. My addiction completely warped my mind, but I made it through. My life and your life is worth it. Do not give up, because the freedom you feel once you are clean will be worth it. I promise. Stay strong, and fight through it. Questions/Comments? - Please leave them below! Still day 2. The following are medications and doses I recommend. But that being said again I am no doctor. Just someone who's been here many many times and knows a lot about these medications. If you do have questions the safest bet is to contact your doctor. Any doctor. .1 mg clonodine. .1-.2 mg 2-3 times a day depending on severity of symptoms. I currently only use this at night as it makes me so so weak and tired. It's a blood pressure med and old school bit of withdrawal arsenal. I wouldn't take for more then a week due to possible rebound hypertension. .25-1 mg xanax, or whatever benzo. Don't substitute one addiction for another!!! Use sparingly, and only at night if possible. Don't use for more then a few days if possible. 50 mg trazodone. Old school med used for a variety of things including most commonly depression and insomnia. Some people need a higher dose. 100 mg is really good for me. I wouldn't go higher then 150 mg ever. Above meds are prescription meds that most doctors will give you for opiate withdrawal. 15-30 mg loperamide(Imodium) every 6-8 hours if needed. Or every 12-24 as needed. Dose can be higher or lower depending on severity of addiction. People have become dependent on this. This honestly is only something I do if I have no other option. With the prescriptions that I have during this detox the loperamide isn't usually needed. Last resort...So again don't substitute addictions!! In high doses it can almost completely eliminate w/d for some people. And some only need the loperamide. I personally only take this for a day or two and taper my last couple doses down. As I believe having a BM is better then not, to continue to clean you out. (Please note high doses taken for a long period, or even a short period can prolong the length of your w/d, similar to the way a Suboxone taper would.. So this choice is entirely up to you. Taken as directed will at least help with diarrhea). Other helpful meds and things: ibuprofen. Ginger. Fish oil. Multivitamins. Healthy food. Hot baths and showers. Exercise. Magnesium. Epsom salt. Electrolytes. Sugar and caffeine at times. Marijuana. Distraction. Distraction. Distraction. If I can do this after over a decade. You can to. Do your research. Listen to people's stories of recovery. Find and keep a hobby. Anything. Get your soul back. ❤️

The Annals of Emergency Medicine published a paper warning that there is a new street drug that combines fentanyl and a synthetic opioid and marketed as the opioid pain-reliever Norco. The illegal knock-off is stronger and more dangerous than prescription Norco and has been making its way into the hands of addicts, leading to overdoses and deaths. Made to look like the real drug, this counterfeit Norco may be making its way to our shores via China. Radicular pain, or radiculitis, is pain "radiated" along the dermatome (sensory distribution) of a nerve due to inflammation or other irritation of the nerve root (radiculopathy) at its connection to the spinal column. A common form of radiculitis is sciatica – radicular pain that radiates along the sciatic nerve from the lower spine to the lower back, gluteal muscles, back of the upper thigh, calf, and foot as often secondary to nerve root irritation from a spinal disc herniation or from osteophytes in the lumbar region of the spine. Many people who go through opiate withdrawal complain of RLS or Restless Leg Syndrome. This is when your legs feel very achy, and you are unable to get comfortable. You may experience spasms or the feeling where you need to continuously move your legs. They may feel itchy, on pins and needles, and unable to get comfortable. In this video I discuss some (strange) remedies that some claim work wonders as well as other tested methods such as massages, heat packs, hot baths, showers, and saunas. Follow Ryan! I am a 32 year opiate addict that successfully detoxing from methadone on a plant from southeast Asia called kratom. I have been 4 days without methadone and feel great. No side effects except for the taste which can be masked with grapefruit juice followed by coffee or a soda. There are many ways to take kratom. I recommend the red vein powder. This has been a miracle. There is no other successful way to detox without some discomfort or agony. Research all you can and find your ultimate dose. Mine is 6-9 grams 3 x per day. I personally guarantee it will work if taken properly. Please for all suffering from addiction try this. Ty.

JEFFERSON COUNTY - by Lauren Huet The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office says prescription pill abuse is one of the biggest issues the county deals with, and deputies are seeing more DWI's during the daytime because of it. Although law enforcement shut down pill mills in Jefferson County about four years ago, they can still be found only a short drive away. "It's an ongoing matter," said Deputy Rod Carroll. "We've shut down the pill mills here in Beaumont and Jefferson County, as well as Louisiana has done their job in shutting down the pill mills. The problem is they still have them operating in Houston and the Baytown area." Southeast Texans are driving to pill mills, where doctors will readily prescribe drugs. "They'll go down to certain doctors that will automatically prescribe the Vicodin, the Soma, the Hydrocodone," said Deputy Carroll. "These individuals, through their networks, know which doctors are less scrupulous." Carroll said some people start taking the pills while driving back to Jefferson County. Others are beginning to assign a designated driver to avoid detection by law enforcement. "A lot of them are now altering their patterns," said Carroll. "Especially the ones out of Louisiana will now have a designated driver with them, so the moment they get their pills they can go ahead and start taking them." He says they're looking for a particular drug cocktail. "The cocktail is a Vicodin, Soma, Hydrocodone mixture. They'll go down there and get a 60 day supply, and then bring it back to this area. They'll be using it themselves as well as selling them," said Carroll. Carroll says because of prescription pill abuse, deputies and officers are now arresting more people for driving while intoxicated during the day. "Just on a regular basis we're seeing more and more accidents involving prescription medication," said Carroll. "We're seeing DWI's where people are being called in that are under the influence of prescription medication." Southeast Texas parents say the thought of driving on the road with prescription pill abusers makes them uneasy. "It's not good for our community," said Kacy Ellis, a mother of two small children. "A lot of us are raising families here, and have kids in the car while we're driving, and it's just not safe and makes me a little more nervous on the road." Another mother, Kristin Dodson agrees. "It's very concerning," said Dodson. "I think they should keep a closer eye on the doctors." An ongoing problem that doesn't just affect the person taking the pills. "Anytime someone gets behind the wheel of a vehicle, and they're under the influence of any substance from alcohol, to prescription medication, they're not just endangering themselves, but the general public," said Carroll. "And that sad truth is, generally speaking, it's the individual that's innocent that gets injured more seriously." Carroll says, even if you are prescribed medication by your doctor, if you take it and drive while intoxicated, you can be arrested. If you see anyone driving while intoxicated, call 9-1-1.
