01:11 The Link between Grain Consumption and Pain: Grain consumption induces an inflammatory state that Dr. Osborn calls “grainflamation”. For those of us with gluten sensitivity, we have an inflammatory response as our body rejects grains. People with allergies to mold may also react. Grains are rich in mold and mycotoxins; toxins created by mold which forms during the bulk storage of grains. Another trigger for inflammation from grains may be the pesticides which are still in/on the grain. One of the chemicals, atrazine, works like an estrogen. In amphibians, the males become females. Glyphosate is a severe toxin on the gut, with a number of effects that contribute to the inflammatory cascade. There is more to grainflammation than gluten. 05:16 Gluten is in More Than Just Wheat: The protein called alpha gliadin, found in wheat, barley and rye, was discovered in 1952 and studied on 10 people, where it was found to be the trigger for celiac disease. Since then, we have discovered over a thousand forms of gluten. Corn and rice, in addition to other grains, have their own family of gluten and you may be reacting to them. Grains are not gluten free. Gluten free grain food products are one of the most concentrated sources of mycotoxins in the American diet. 14:05 Hidden Sources of Gluten: Sometimes meat is injected with something that mimics gluten called microbial transglutaminase. Same is done with cheese and dairy. This may explain why many with gluten sensitivity, are also sensitive to dairy. Sometimes there is gluten contamination during processing or cooking. 20:51 Stripping Away Protective Gut Barriers: In addition, antibiotics have been in use for the past 50 years and its use is on the rise. There are 5 barriers that protect our gut from developing a leak and an autoimmune process. A leak of the gut allows inflammation to travel to the rest of our body. One of those barriers is the microbiome, the bacteria in our gut. Antibiotics and certain classes of blood pressure medication induce leaky gut. Aspirin, Ibuprofen and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs strip away one of the other gut barriers, the mucosa that lines the G.I. tract. Other drugs affect gut motility. 38:41 Grain-Besity Cycle: Grain can induce hormonal changes. Your body’s response to inflammation is to create more cortisol. With chronic long term inflammation, it can lead to adrenal burnout. Adrenal failure or burnout leads to the inability to adapt or cope with inflammation and it gets out of control. Our adrenals are our natural inflammatory control system. Excessive insulin production is a side effect of this, causing amplified fat storage. We end up marbleizing our muscle tissue, which creates a fatty muscle, which slows our metabolism. Muscle sets the metabolic rate. Excess weight increases pressure on joints, thus further limiting physical activity and increasing pain.

Survey Question: https://www.drberg.com/video-idea-survey/biggest-health-issue Take Dr. Berg's Free Keto Mini-Course: http://pxlme.me/-i717vtY or go here: https://www.drberg.com/how-to-do-ketosis Download Keto Essentials https://m.me/drericberg?ref=w2128577 Dr. Berg talks about the 7 Surprising things that can kick you out of ketosis: 1. Stress 2. Excessive caffeine 3. Bone broth and whey protein (and even L-Glutamine 4. MSG (monosodium glutamate) hidden in lots of foods – sauces 5. Artificial sweeteners (aspartame, saccharine) 6. Excess protein 7. Keto-friendly deserts (excessive xylitol) Hey guys, I want to create an important video on this 7 surprising things that can kick you out of ketosis. You may know the typical things like sugar and refined carbohydrates but these are the things that you may not know that are important. Stress can kick you out of ketosis because stress activates a hormone called cortisol. Cortisol is the main adrenal hormone that adapts the body to stress. So any type of stress, shock to the system, surgery, trauma, allergies and even the loss of the love ones can activate stress, stress in your job or relationship stress could actually knock you out of ketosis. Next one is the excessive caffeine, one cup of coffee is not going to do anything but if you are doing coffee or tea all day long with caffeine too much of that can activate adrenaline which can then activate insulin. Bone broth in large quantities, a little bit of bone broth is not going to be an issue, I’m talking about protein. Protein can bump you out. I am not too concerned about bone broth, even when you are fasting it may knock you out a little bit but it is a very small amounts. Whey proteins is one of the top proteins, because it is a low fat and is a high protein that will stimulate insulin and knock you out with ketosis. L-Glutamine, people take that for their digestive system and they can get irritable bowel syndrome, it is a protein and can knock you out in ketosis. I am not concerned about you taking that because it really helps you in a certain ways, it is not going to put weight on but the only reason that I’m bringing it up is if you test yourself and all of the sudden it knocks you out, don’t be concerned if that’s what doing it, it is a temporary thing but it will knock you out. And then we have MSG, Monosodium glutamate another name for that is modified food starch. It is in so many foods, it is easy to avoid if you are shopping but it is very hard to avoid if you are going out to restaurants because they have it in the sauces, dressings, in some of the flavor enhancers, any food that just taste too good typically has MSG on it especially if it is a fast-food restaurant. The next one, artificial sweeteners Aspartame, Splenda - that has actual dextrin, saccharine and Maltodextrin. He is currently working on a project in the 2nd phase of trials with Doctors at UCLA to identify a strain of bacteria that may help modulate inflammation within the body. It is partially due to his involvement in this study that he has developed such an interest in the world of cellular inflammation in the first place. Susana Home Remedies presents : The Symptoms Of Ulcer, The Diet You Must Do And The Natural Remedies You Are Going To Use Stomach ulcers, also known as gastric ulcers, are open sores within the lining of the stomach. They are a type of peptic ulcer, meaning having to do with acid. Because of the amount of acid present in the stomach and the damage that can occur, they are often extremely painful. The most common cause of stomach ulcers is the bacterium Helicobacter pylori, or H. pylori. Ulcers may also be caused by overuse of painkillers, such as aspirin (Bayer), and other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories (NSAIDs), such as ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) or naproxen (Naprosyn). Stomach ulcers are treated with antibiotics and medications to reduce and block stomach acid. In addition to this well-proven treatment plan, research has shown that there are also some natural home remedies that may be useful in managing a stomach ulcer and helping it heal. Talk with your doctor about adding these foods to your diet. https://youtu.be/ezRFO5DCQTM

Ibuprofen and Over-The-Counter Painkillers Have Deadly Risks Welcome to another Health News video news release brought to you by Health News. In today’s news, we look at the serious health risks in taking popular over-the-counter pain killers. Recent studies have linked Ibuprofen and other popular over-the-counter pain-killers known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, as well as other common pain killers like Tylenol, with significantly increased risk of cardiac arrest. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs are among the most commonly used drugs in the world and easily available to anybody over the counter. Researchers in Denmark, found that taking these over-the-counter drugs caused a 31% increased risk of cardiac arrest, among other things. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs influence numerous effects on the cardiovascular system which could explain the link with cardiac arrest. These include impacting platelet aggregation and causing blood clots, causing the arteries to constrict, increasing fluid retention, and raising blood pressure. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs used for arthritis, muscle pain and headaches, including over-the-counter, low-dose ibuprofen should be used as little as possible. This Is Why You Should Eat Avocados Daily (If You Aren’t Already!) We’ve all heard the age old quote, “an apple a day keeps the doctor away.” Now we say, “an avocado a day keeps the doctor away, forever!” and here are 5 reasons why. 1. Avocados Will Not Make You Fat Fast food, chips, soda, white bread, those are all things that will make you fat, avocados…not so much. Avocados contain monounsaturated fat and, like olive oil, a high preponderance of oleic acid – this is a healthy fat and a beautifying oil. Oleic acid is gaining a reputation (through the Mediterranean Diet) as helping to keep us slim as we age. Oleic acid is also believed to decrease our chances of developing heart disease. 2. Curbs Hunger If you find yourself constantly snacking, avocados can help change that. Studies have shown that meals that include avocados and other healthy fats cause you to feel full, taking away the need to eat more. Because they consist mostly of healthy fatty acids, they produce a blood-sugar, friendly, ketogenic effect. So the next time you reach for a bag of chips, go for the avocado instead. 3. Packed With Nutrients You already know that avocados are good for us, but, what’s actually inside of it that makes it such a healthy treat. Well, for starters, there are typically over 14 minerals packed inside each one. Each avocado also contains: 18 essential amino acids (protein) and 2 grams of protein per 100 grams of avocado. • Soluble fiber. • Phytosterols: beta-sitosterol, campesterol, and stigmasterol that may help keep arthritis and other forms of inflammation under control. Carotenoids: Avocados contain an unusually high amount of antioxidant, oil-soluble carotenoids. These include o-carotene, yellow alpha-carotene and yellow lutein, but also many lesser-known carotenoids including yellow epsilon-carotene, yellow neochrome, yellow neoxanthin, yellow chrysanthemaxanthin, orange beta-cryptoxanthin, orange zeaxanthin, and yellow violaxanthin • Chlorophyll: This is what gives avocados their beautiful green glow. Chlorophyll is a deodorizer, detoxifier, and neutralizer of toxins. • Polyhydroxylated fatty alcohols (PFAs): These are more widely prevalent in ocean plants but relatively unique among land plants—making the avocado tree (and its fruit) unusual in this regard. Like the avocado’s phytosterols, its PFAs also provide us with anti-inflammatory benefits and skin protection from ultraviolet radiation. • Vitamins: B (folic acid), C, E 4. Can Be Added To Many Meals Avocados are awesome because they can be used to turn ordinary meals into wonderful meals. Mash up some avocados and boom, you’ve got guacamole. Throw a few avocado slices on some hempseed or chia-seed gluten-free bread or raw cracker and you have a tasty snack. You can place avocados on top of almost any food. Avocados are great with sea salt or nearly any form of seaweed. Their high potassium content is balanced by the high sodium content of sea salt and seaweeds. Avocados are also wonderful in salads. More recently avocados have made their way into smoothie recipes. And of course, no guacamole is possible without its essential ingredient. 5. Long-Term Health https://youtu.be/fsrRu1WvH_w

http://authentichealthcoach.com Can medications harm my kidneys? Dr. Candace Corson answers this question from our Facebook Fan Page http://www.facebook.com/TomCorsonKnowlesFanClub Dr. Corson shares how pain killers, both over the counter and prescription pain medications, can damage your kidneys! Pain medications interfere with basic body chemistry. Only use them when it's truly necessary! We can dramatically reduce the requirement for pain medications by reducing inflammation - inflammation increases pain. Over 100,000 people a year die from taking medications as prescribed - so it's a good idea to only use medications when it's absolutely necessary.

(All proceeds Dr. Greger receives from the sales of his books, DVDs, and speaking engagements go to support the 501c3 nonprofit that runs NutritionFacts.org.) DESCRIPTION: Sweet red bing cherries may act as a selective COX-2 inhibitor, reducing inflammation without the damage to our stomach and gut lining caused by NSAID drugs like ibuprofen. Here are the links to the videos I mentioned about tart pie cherries: Tart Cherries for Insomnia (http://nutritionfacts.org/video/tart-cherries-for-insomnia/) and Reducing Muscle Soreness with Berries (http://nutritionfacts.org/video/reducing-muscle-soreness-with-berries/). Here are two ways I incorporate cherries into my diet: Pink Juice with Green Foam (http://nutritionfacts.org/video/pink-juice-with-green-foam/) and Healthy Chocolate Milkshakes (http://nutritionfacts.org/video/healthy-chocolate-milkshakes/). Other studies in which anti-inflammatory drugs were compared natural dietary remedies include: Turmeric Curcumin and Osteoarthritis (http://nutritionfacts.org/video/turmeric-curcumin-and-osteoarthritis/) and Turmeric Curcumin and Rheumatoid Arthritis (http://nutritionfacts.org/video/turmeric-curcumin-and-rheumatoid-arthritis/). Anti-inflammatory activity in a test tube is one thing, but can cherries actually be used clinically to treat inflammatory diseases? M&M's Candies Are Linked to disease, headaches, hyperactivity, sensitivities, tension, and the sky is the limit from there. Mars, inc. was established by Franklin Clarence Mars. He began the Mars confection processing plant in 1911 in Tacoma, Washington. A standout amongst the most prevalent confections made by the Mars organization is, M&Ms. M&Ms were made in 1941 and are currently sold in more than 100 nations with 33 unique fillings. The sweetened up chocolate was made to enable troopers to convey chocolate without its stress liquefying. "Melts in your mouth, not in your grasp". The two "M"s speak to Forest E. Mars Sr and William F. R. Murrie, the child of Hershey chocolate's leader who had a 20% offer in the item. This organization enabled Mars to utilize Hershey chocolate in their items. Hershey had control of the proportioned chocolate at the time. In 1976, Red confections were disposed of because of purchasers wellbeing worries of suspected cancer-causing agent found in color FD&C Red #2. Red confections were reintroduced in 1986 and Mars, inc. has kept on accepting petitions about evacuating the manufactured hues. An appeal to by Change.org and an official statement from Center for Science in the Public Interest depicted the manufactured hues as "neurotoxic chemicals". This appeal to was like that of Kraft, asking them to evacuate hazardous Yellow #5 and Yellow #6 from its Macaroni and Cheese which was bolstered by 350,000 marks. The CSPI asked the request of to suggest cautioning marks posting the claimed dangers of eight endorsed FD&C nourishment hues. The CSPI's Dr Jacobson stated: "The proof that these petrochemicals compound a few youngsters' conduct is persuading. "I trust that the board of trustees will encourage the office to both require cautioning sees and urge organizations willfully to change to more secure common colorings." How about we take a gander at the present fixings recorded on a pack of Original M&Ms: Drain chocolate sugar, cornstarch, 1% corn syrup, dextrin, simulated hues gum acacia. What are the damage of these fixings: •Soy lecithin: 93% of soy is hereditarily changed. Soy lecithin can cause bosom growth, effectsly affects richness and multiplication, may prompt behavioral and cerebral irregularities. "Lake" inside these manufactured hues implies salt was added to the shading. This makes the shading insoluble in fluids. •Blue #1: Produces threatening tumors at the site of infusion and by ingestion in rats. Conceivable impacts incorporate asthma, hives, feed fever, low circulatory strain, hypersensitive responses. Alert is prompted if ibuprofen touchy. •Red #40: Damages DNA, causes swelling around the mouth, hives, hyperactivity in youngsters and tumor. •Yellow #6: Can cause growth, hyperactivity, hypersensitive responses, looseness of the bowels, heaving, vex rash, headaches and swelling of the skin. •Yellow #5: Can cause unfavorably susceptible responses, hyperactivity, malignancy. •Blue #2: Is an oil based item with a synthetic recipe of C16H10N2O2. It expands hyperactivity in kids, builds mind tumors in guinea pigs and other strange cell advancement. •Gum Acacia: Is a dietary fiber from the Acacia tree. It causes gas, swelling, queasiness and free stool. Shockingly the Mars organization has continueed to utilize these simulated hues in light of the fact that the FDA has expressed they are ok for human utilization. They overlook the logical information expressing something else, despite the fact that there are other regular, safe shading options. In 2007 Forbes announced Mars, inc. made $27.4 million dollars. I figure they can bear to roll out some positive improvements to their items, until at that point, they won't see a penny of my cash. Medicines like acetaminophen or ibuprofen will reduce a fever gradually. You can also try these methods to bring down a fever faster: Fluids. Drink plenty of water, tea and sports drinks. For children, use water, popsicles or oral rehydrating solutions. For infants, nurse them more often or give them bottles more often. Lukewarm bath. Bathe in a lukewarm bath or shower. Don’t use ice, cold water or alcohol. If shivering starts, warm up the water and then get out. Wear light clothing. Light, loose clothing keeps the body cooler.

What Is a Drug Allergy. Presentation. A medication sensitivity is a hypersensitive response to a drug. With an unfavorably susceptible response, your invulnerable framework, which battles contamination and illness, responds to the medication. This response can cause side effects, for example, rash, fever, and inconvenience relaxing. Genuine medication hypersensitivity isn't normal. Under 5 to 10 percent of negative medication responses are caused by certified medication sensitivity. The rest are reactions of the medication. All the same, it's essential to know whether you have a medication hypersensitivity and what to do about it. For what reason do tranquilize sensitivities happen?. Your resistant framework shields you from malady. It's intended to battle remote intruders, for example, infections, microscopic organisms, parasites, and different risky substances. With a medication hypersensitivity, your invulnerable framework botches a medication that enters your body for one of these trespassers. Because of what it supposes is a danger, your safe framework starts to make antibodies. These are unique proteins that are customized to assault the intruder. For this situation, they assault the medication. This invulnerable reaction prompts expanded aggravation, which can cause indications, for example, rash, fever, or inconvenience relaxing. The resistant reaction may happen the first occasion when you take the medication, or it may not be until after you've taken it ordinarily with no issue. Is a medication sensitivity constantly unsafe?. Not generally. The indications of a medication sensitivity might be mild to the point that you scarcely see them. You may encounter just a slight rash. A serious medication hypersensitivity, in any case, can be perilous. It could cause hypersensitivity. Hypersensitivity is a sudden, perilous, entire body response to a medication or other allergen. An anaphylactic response could happen minutes after you take the medication. At times, it could occur inside 12 hours of taking the medication. Side effects can include: *irregular pulse. *trouble relaxing. *swelling. *unconsciousness. Hypersensitivity can be lethal if it's not treated immediately. On the off chance that you have any of the side effects in the wake of taking a medication, have somebody call 911 or go to the closest crisis room. Unfavorably susceptible like responses. A few medications can cause a hypersensitivity compose response the first occasion when they are utilized. Medications that can cause a response like hypersensitivity include: *morphine. *aspirin. *some chemotherapy drugs. *the colors utilized as a part of some X-beams. This kind of response ordinarily does not include the resistant framework and isn't a genuine sensitivity. Nonetheless, the manifestations and treatment are the same with respect to genuine hypersensitivity, and it is similarly as perilous. What drugs cause the most medication sensitivities?. Distinctive medications effectsly affect individuals. All things considered, certain medications complete tend to cause more hypersensitive responses than others. These include: *antibiotics, for example, penicillin and sulfa anti-infection agents, for example, sulfamethoxazole-trimethoprim. *aspirin. *nonsteroidal calming solutions, for example, ibuprofen. *anticonvulsants, for example, carbamazepine and lamotrigine. *drugs utilized as a part of monoclonal counter acting agent treatment, for example, trastuzumab and ibritumomab tiuxetan. *chemotherapy medications, for example, paclitaxel, docetaxel, and procarbazine. What are the contrasts between symptoms and a medication sensitivity?. A medication hypersensitivity just influences certain individuals. It generally includes the resistant framework and it generally causes negative impacts. Be that as it may, a reaction may happen in any individual taking a medication. Additionally, it ordinarily does not include the insusceptible framework. A symptom is any activity of the medication — destructive or supportive — that doesn't identify with the medication's fundamental occupation. Have you got leaky gut? You probably have to some degree. Try not to make these mistakes! Your FREE Candida Report here: https://www.yeastinfection.org/free-candida-report/ Greetings. Eric Bakker naturopath from New Zealand. Thanks for checking out my video. I have a question from a subscriber here, "Eric can you give us at least 10 leaky gut guide and treatment mistakes for me to avoid?" I can certainly do that. I made a list of 10 things here and I'm just going to talk about those in brief and explain a few concepts to you about leaky gut and about how to avoid it. Well how to avoid things going pear shaped when you have got leaky gut. The first one is alcohol which I really always talk about when it comes to digestive health. You're really in fantasy land if you think you can even go from mild alcohol consumption if you want to recover from leaky gut. Once your digestive system is in great shape, you got good energy, you've got good sleep, you're feeling really good emotionally and you've got just an awesome sense of wellbeing about you, I've got no problem with alcohol especially if you're a mild drinker. But as soon as you start going into two glasses a day or several times a week alcohol consumption and you've got leaky gut, and you've got a perfect diet and everything else is good and you're exercising and everything's good, forget it. You're not going to recover from leaky gut. That's mistake number one is thinking you can drink even small amounts of alcohol regularly longterm if you've got a gut problem. You've got to fix the gut first. Get that in great shape and then work out how much alcohol you can consume over time. Common sense. So as not to go down that route of leaky gut again. Number two is stress. Alcohol consumption sometimes goes hand in hand with stress. Sometimes people drink more 'cause they're under stress. So unfulfilled lives. Unsatisfied with your occupation or your career. Living in a relationship that's highly stressful or that's not very, giving you what you want. Living in a poor marriage or in a relationship sense it's just not going anywhere. This can create high stress. Having conflict or discord with neighbors or family members. Personal conflict is not good when it comes to wanting to get a good leaky gut. Not good at all. So you need to work out what the stressors are in your life and you need to deal with these stressors. This is very much not spoken about when it comes to leaky gut 'cause it very much undermines your autonomic nervous system. And if you can't get your handle on stress and it keeps working on you and impacting on you, your gut will only go further backwards not forwards. The third one is junk food. So eating takeaway or junk food once a week for example. Many people think that that's quite kosher. That's quite okay to day. Six days of the week I eat great, the one day of the week I eat not so great. If you want to recover from the leaky gut, don't the make the mistake of thinking junk food every now and then is okay 'cause it's not okay. If you want to get your gut in great shape, eat good food all the time. Good dietary choices every day. Four, regular drug taking. Taking paracetamol, taking ibuprofen, taking Advil, taking birth control, taking antidepressants, taking acid blocking medication. If you're on a drug every day or longterm medication, this is a mistake. You need to try and do something about it. With the birth control pill there are other methods or you need to think how can you give your body a break from this pharmaceutical medication because it will undermine your gut function and your hormone system long term. But many of the the drugs often are taken daily for basically stopping symptoms for digestive problems. You can't get a handle on leaky gut if you keep on a drug. So hope that gives you a bit of an insight into 10 things which I see are obstacles when it comes to healing yourself from leaky gut. Don't forget to click on the link below if you want my free candida report and subscribe to my channel. Thanks for catching up with me. All the best.

How To Heal Leaky Gut - Leaky Gut Treatment CLICK HERE to Learn More https://tinyurl.com/HealLeakyGut11 What can cause leaky gut syndrome? Researchers are still working to more fully understand the causes, but current medical diagnoses suggest that a diet high in alcohol and caffeine intake, certain drugs like ibuprofen and antacids, or a diet high in carbohydrates can decrease the thickness of the intestinal wall as well as other possible reasons. These are just a few possible reasons, and ways to treat leaky gut syndrome are just as uncertain as the reasons. Because of the sensitivity of the digestive system with leaky gut syndrome, many parents of autistic children find that putting their child on gluten- and casein-free diets can help. Both gluten and casein are proteins, and a diet with these proteins may irritate and inflame a leaky gut syndrome – though at the moment, researchers are still studying this. You may also treat leaky gut syndrome by avoiding alcohol, caffeine, ibuprofen, or spicy foods – all of which can cause irritation in the intestines. Understanding leaky gut syndrome is an ongoing process, for parents with autistic children, doctors, and researchers, but this does not mean that there is nothing you can do to treat it. Simply being aware that your autistic child may have leaky gut syndrome will help you to better understand and improve his or her life. Natural Cure for Headaches | Tips and Remedies to knock out Headache symptoms http://drchristianson.com/blog Headaches (Structural or Chemical) can completely ruin a good day, causing setbacks and a lot of frustration. Structural headache occurs when something in the body is being pulled, inflamed, or irritated (ex. muscle). This starts with pain in the neck, spreads to the back of the head and moves out from there. Main remedy is to improve structure. Massage on a regular basis is the best. Another is loosening or stretching. A good trick is the 20/20/20 rule. Every 20 mins., get up for 20 secs. and move your head side-to-side 20 times. This reduces tension. Our head has some small structures in the occipital triangle of the neck that bear a large amount of its load. These get tight and sore when in the same position for a long period of time. Loose ligaments are a common cause, too. Muscles tighten to compensate. When they do, they pinch nerves, and that hurts. The stronger the ligaments are, the less the muscle spasm. Consider acupuncture, prolotherapy, and physical therapy. Chemical headache occurs from spasms of the blood vessels that line the scalp. When they constrict, there is pain in the nerves around it. These headaches are more diffused in nature, especially near or around the eyes or along the temples. Remedy is to know what triggers the spasm. Foods that can affect everyone are sugar, fried foods, and preservatives. In different ways, these raise the chemicals of inflammation. Allergy testing is a way to discover which foods you're sensitive to. Cut out all the common food allergens: dairy, wheat, eggs, sugar, gluten, soy, and corn products. After a while, you can safely reintroduce a few to see if they are affecting you or not. Caffeine Caffeine is a strong vasodilator, it opens constricted blood vessels. Lots of over-the-counter headache remedies are based on caffeine. They are effective, but with regular use, can trigger headaches. This is better for non-caffeine users with random headaches. Regular caffeine users may become sensitive to it and get more headaches instead. Many treatments, esp. those containing caffeine, can cause rebound headaches. Ergotamine compounds and the triptan class medications work immediately but cause big rebounds. Butalbital also has a very high rebound rate. If medication is stopped, more headaches occur initially. So the solution is to detox and come off of them or totally stay away from them. Over-the-counter Treatment Aspirins, acetaminophen, and ibuprofen works to bring relief, but have their drawbacks. Aside from Acetaminophen, the rest thin the intestinal lining which leads to food sensitivities. Healthy intestinal lining results to lesser food reactions. Another is kidney damage. Experts say, more than 30,000 ER diagnoses/year of dangerous stomach bleeding due to over-the-counter, anti-inflammatory drugs recorded. So, it’s better to avoid them. Hot and Cold Remedy Because headaches are caused by constricted blood, the trick is to move blood out of the vessels by simply using hot and cold simultaneously. Use cold packs on where it hurts. At the same time, place your feet in a bucket of warm water. This way, blood is routed out of the stuck vessels and towards the opposite end of the body. Pressure's pulled downward. Stops headache in a matter of minutes! Magnesium Magnesium relaxes the smooth muscles that make the vessels cramp in the first place. A magnesium bath - a 2-pound carton of Epson salts mixed in your tub, and soak in it - would do best. Magnesium oil (a saturated, hypertonic solution) brings relief when rubbed on where the tension is felt. Many natural clinics offer Magnesium IV’s as a treatment for an acute headache. Curcumin It is a turmeric extract and works like an anti-inflammatory, but doesn't hurt the stomach and with no drawbacks even in high amounts. Better forms of curcumin have phosphatidylcholine-based carriers (like those from soy) to help them absorb effectively. The one from soy is harmless and no drawbacks. Ginger & Boswellia Both naturally lower inflammation and help break the cycle of chronic pain. With headache, the blood vessels are tight, the blood is thick and clots easily. It’s apt to get jammed and create that cycle of pain. Ginger not only lowers inflammation, but also thins the blood, causing less platelet aggravation. Boswellia (Frankincense) is a tree resin with strong aromatic properties. Research shows it reduces inflammation. Try these - manage your diet, and easy remedy options - you can have fewer headaches or be completely headache-free! Subscribe to Reset Me With Dr. C for more healthy habits. Let's keep in touch - http://www.facebook.com/DrChrisSteele Dr Chris discusses allergies and testing on ITV Daytime Show - This Morning. Among the topics mentioned is the 'Yorktest' 113 kit, where you take a tiny pinprick of blood and send it to the Yorktest Laboratory for analysis. Dr Chris had used the kit himself 2 years prior to the show, and being too busy, he had not looked at the analysis, which in his case showed he had a gluten allergy. Chris has recently been diagnosed with Coeliac disease - a severe allergy to gluten found in wheat, rye and barley.

Is it possible to develop short-term memory loss if you have a Candida infection? Is Candida linked to anxiety, depression or even schizophrenia and other similar conditions? Here are some of my views on this issue. Be sure to get a copy of my Candida shopping list if you haven't already, here is the link: http://www.yeastinfection.org/candida-report/ The CanXida products are available on this link: www.canxida.com Greetings. Eric Bakker, Naturopath for New Zealand. I've got a question here regarding candida and memory loss. Can candida cause memory loss? Well, the way I see it, when you've got a problem with your digestive system, especially candida imbalance in the gut, it can cause a whole bunch of different problems. A long time ago when I was a student, we used to think that people who had memory loss or things like bipolar or schizophrenia or depression or anxiety or mood disorders, it was a brain based problem. We didn't think that the gut actually affected the brain that much back in the 70's and 80's. You know, we had some idea that there was a powerful immune presence in the gut, but we had no idea that most of the hormones that influence how we think and feel are actually produced in the digestive system. It's incredible. So we're learning so much more about what we call the second brain now, with the gut. And the second brain has a powerful influence on the primary brain. So if you have got a problem with the gut. A gut dysfunction, particularly the small intestine, a real imbalance through antibiotics or stress or you know, crappy food or crappy lifestyle or things like that, if your gut's really affected, it's going to affect how you think and feel. And of course it's going to affect the memory. It's going to affect the mood. It's gonna make you more irritable. John Hopkins University in 2016 did a large research on bipolar schizophrenia and candida and they found an absolute link there. For example, they found that men who had a big candida problem were more likely to have serious mood disorders. To me, it makes sense that if you've got a serious problem with memory, particularly short term memory and you've got a digestive problem, you want to get the gut problem fixed to see if there's a link between that and how you're thinking and feeling. So, can candida cause memory loss? Well, that's a difficult one to say, you know. But if you have got a big problem with memory or cognition or thinking in general and you've got things like bloating or gas or constipation or diarrhea, or if you're on any kind of pharmaceutical drug long term, if you've been on any kind of antibiotics, if you've taken Tylenol, ibuprofen or you have a proton pump inhibitor like and acid kind of a blocking drug, if you've been on a drug regularly and you notice a memory problem, I would say you absolutely need to get a handle on this. Try and stop the drug or take some natural kind of medicine instead And then see how the memory goes. Particularly if you've done a stool test, found you've got poor levels of beneficial bacteria and you've got memory loss and good bacteria, I would absolutely recommend that you build your good bacteria back up again and then see what happens to the memory loss. So remember also that memory's like a muscle, it can be trained. I watched a very good TED Talk a YouTube video the other day, on how to build up a powerful memory. Anybody can build a powerful memory. It's just a matter of like going to the gym, training that muscle. So memory can be built up. You can develop a powerful memory. Stress is a great way to destroy short term memory. Long term memory stays intact. You talk to even people with dementia or Alzheimer's and they can still recall stuff that happened 30, 40 years ago. It's the short term memory that gets affected. The ability to imprint information that we hear of yesterday for example, many people, if you ask what they had for breakfast yesterday, they'd have difficulty telling you that, which is incredible. Now let me remember, where was I? Can memory, can candida cause memory loss? That's right. I forgot. I would say there's certainly some type of link there. As I mentioned previous, especially if you've got a digestive problem, you want to get a handle on it. So I hope that answers your question. Thanks for tuning in.a

Learn what are the common and not so common causes of leaky gut syndrome. Why you got leaky gut at first place? Leaky gut syndrome is a condition of the western developed nations. It's not something that people get in the underdeveloped countries, and I'll expand on that in a minute. That happens for a multitude of reasons. Leaky gut is altered intestinal permeability, and it usually means that the person has altered their lifestyle far away from nature. People who eat and live according to the natural laws who fresh wholesome foods, who drink lots of fresh water, who get plenty of sleep, these sorts of people don't tend to have leaky gut syndrome. The relaxed people. People who don't push themselves too hard. But we don't live like that in the western world. We tend to be really time poor these days. What I'm finding after being in practice now for nearly 30 years is that more and more I'm seeing people with chronic digestive problems, and I think that's because people now tend to stay up too late at night. They're not getting enough rest. They tend to be too dependent on these electronic toys and gadgets all around them. They tend to not chew food properly. They tend to drink alcohol and caffeine, and a lot of people now are bypassing good quality foods, tending to eat more of a processed kind of a food. These sorts of things, in particularly, are pushing people into leaky gut syndrome. The primary cause in the top 5 or the top 10 would certainly be alcohol of any sort. People who drink alcohol on a regular basis are invariably going to have leaky gut syndrome. I've got no doubt in my mind, and it's just one of my clinical observations now. If you don't drink any alcohol at all, you're much less inclined to have leaky gut. It's not just the one thing that will push a person into leaky gut. It's a combination of multiple factors in their diet and lifestyle that will contribute to this functional complaint. Antibiotics, alcohol, stress, not chewing food properly, any kind of medication on a regular basis. It could be something like Advil or ibuprofen. It could be paracetamol or Tylenol. It could be anti-depressants, birth control pills. It could be a statin drug. It could be a blood pressure pill. Any kind of medication from the doctor you're taking, whether it's prescribed or over the counter, even some dietary supplements from your naturopath can contribute to leaky gut syndrome. Some patients I see take up to 50, 60 or even 80 supplements in one day. It's crazy, but true. If you're one of these people who is buying supplements from iHerb and from Amazon and all over the place and you're going to see two chiropractors and two naturopaths and two doctors and two psychiatrists, and you're seeing all these people and everyone is giving you stuff, you're taking all that and you're still not getting better, you've probably got leaky gut syndrome. Take heed. Don't take things unless you get expert advice regarding that supplement. A really big overlooked cause is antibiotics in the food chain. If you're eating meat or poultry, it could contain medications like a low dose antibiotic. We know low dose long term is as bad as high dose short term. So you want to check with your supplier if the kind of meat you're eating has got any kind of antibiotic in it. And if you're unsure, just do a Google check on it yourself. You might be quite surprised what you'll find. Certified, biodynamic, or free range are certified to be free from these sorts of drugs is certainly what you want to be looking at for food. That's why I prefer to eat ocean caught fish because they don't usually inject fish with antibiotics. Chewing food. A lot of people don't chew food properly. They chew too quickly, so they don't activate the parasympathetic nervous system. Chewing food really quick is a sympathetic response, a stress response, and this will mean that you're not going to break food down to small particle size. It will also mean that if you have got leaky gut, which you probably have, you'll put larger particles into the small bowel that could potentially permeate and challenge your immune system. Chewing food down as far as you can, really breaking it down, will allow your digestive organs to make a nice soupy mix out of it, and that's going to be easy to break down and to absorb. That's a big reason why many people end up developing leaky gut, improper chewing of foods, or eating too hurried. Drinking alcohol with meals is insanity. That's going to certainly have a contributing factor with leaky gut.
