Our limbic system does not know how to discern different kinds of fears and reacts the same way. Before fear was useful for survival. It’s not like that anymore. Now we collect our resistances to fear (chronic anxiety) and we store it in the body. Low Dose Naltrexone and Depression

Read more at https://www.biobalancehealth.com This may seem like a doctor problem and not a patient problem, but I think understanding the key differences in types of depression can guide patients to understand the cause of their depression (the neuro-chemical that is missing) and can guide you and your doctor to the right medication faster than the usual trial and error method of depression medication choices. You don’t have to be a neuro-psychiatrist to understand this type of depression that you are experiencing. Many people have a mixed depression but that is often why we see depressed patients taking multiple medications to treat both deficient brain chemicals or neurotransmitters. Today you will learn how to recognize different types of depression and how medicine addresses these deficiencies. Recent research has divided depression into categories based on the neurotransmitters (brain chemicals) that are deficient. These deficiencies cause the depressed moods that people experience and that doctors call depression. • Serotonin deficiency—low serotonin levels • Dopamine deficiency—low dopamine levels • Epinephrine and norepinephrine low levels of each • Endorphin deficiency—low brain opioid levels • Hormone deficiencies—low oxytocin, prolactin, thyroid, testosterone We will describe all of the types and the specific medications, foods, and supplements that help replace the missing neuro-chemicals. Serotonin deficiency depression has a specific symptomology. You can tell by asking a depressed person certain questions about how they feel and the foods they crave. The foods craved by S-Depression are bananas, dairy and high carb foods. Serotonin deficient patients obsess and worry, and have trouble sleeping and are all in pain. If they are suicidal they tell their doctors they want to end it all because life is painful, or they are in pain, and they want it to stop. Supplements that improve Serotonin deficient depression include 5_HT, Magnesium, Tryptophan, B Complex Vitamins and B3, Zinc and St. John’s Wort. Drugs that increase just Serotonin are: Prozac, Zoloft, Celexa, Lexaro, Brintellex, Viibryd. Dopamine deficient patients are missing the “feel good” hormone, this and is associated with pleasure and reward. In mental acuity, motivation and arousal this hormone is necessary. Dopamine is a stimulant neurotransmitter in the category of catecholamines where norepinephrine and epinephrine are filed. A disease that is caused by chronically low dopamine is Parkinson’s disease, which occurs as we age and takes away our facial expressions of joy and responsiveness to social attachments. Dopamine is necessary for people to feel love, attachment to loved ones and generosity. Dopamine deficient patients complain of dissatisfaction, apathy, boredom, difficulty thinking, and loving as well as trouble with concentrating and critical thinking. Dopamine deficient depressed people sleep a lot, they are apathetic and cannot get going in the morning. When these patients talk about suicide they say, “I have nothing to live for, there is nothing in life that gives me a reason to stay.” For these patients, life is grey, boring, and disorganized. Dopamine deficient patients crave foods with the building blocks of dopamine that can add value to the medication they are taking. These include strawberries, raw almonds, dark chocolate, apples and bananas. Stimulant deficient depression involves a lack of norepinephrine and epinephrine and these patients say, “ I am sooo tired!” or “I can’t get out of bed and don’t want to go to work or to a party or anywhere! Or I am disorganized and can’t get anything finished because I can’t concentrate long enough to do so!” Medicine treats these problems with stimulants such as Modofinil and stimulants like Dexadrine, Ddderal, and other well- known stimulants. Combo medications that increase both serotonin and epinephrine levels include Effexor, Cymbalta, Pristiq. They take away the pain and offer energy and motivation.

My experience though so far since restarting my medication has been pretty good so far. My current medication stack that my psychiatrist has prescribed for me to battle my bipolar disorder, PTSD, ADHD, generalized anxiety disorder and sleeping issues are: 120 mg of Duloxetine DR a.k.a. Cymbalta used to treat my depression 150mg of Lamotrigine aka Lamictal my mood stabilizer 150mg of Bupropion XL usually referred to as Wellbutrin used to treat my bipolar 200mg of Quetiapine which is an antipsychotic better known as Seroquel 1 mg of Alprazolam which you probably know as Xanax as needed for my anxiety issues. I really try to avoid taking it though. Treatments For Panic Attacks - Alternative Remedies

03:12
http://www.Panic-Away.me What Are the Treatments for Panic Attacks? http://www.Panic-Away.me The cause of most panic attacks is not clear, so treatment may be different for each person. Medication is used for prevention and/or immediate alleviation of symptoms and is usually the main line of treatment. In addition, psychotherapy such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, relaxation, and/or meditation are often used to help relax the body and relieve anxiety. http://www.Panic-Away.me If you're in the middle of a panic attack, immediate relief of anxiety symptoms can come from taking a sedative type anti-anxiety medication such as Xanax, Klonopin, and Ativan. These drugs are provided at least in the beginning of medical therapy, but are not for long-term use. Antidepressants often help prevent anxiety and reduce the frequency and severity of panic attacks, but are not used for immediate relief during an attack. Frequently used antidepressants are the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) such as Prozac, Paxil, Celexa, Lexapro, and Zoloft. This group of medications is often considered the first line of treatment for panic disorders. Some newer anticonvulsant drugs, such as Lyrica and Neurontin, have also begun to show value in research studies as experimental treatments for some anxiety disorders, including panic disorder. Important note regarding medications: Some of these drugs can actually produce the anxiety symptoms of a panic attack. It is often best to start with a low dose and slowly increase medication as recommended by your health care provider. For preventive or maintenance care, psychotherapy offers support and helps minimize fear. In some cases, psychotherapy alone can clear up the disorder. Cognitive-behavioral therapy helps people learn to deal with panic symptoms, using techniques like muscle and breathing relaxation. Patients also gain reassurance that panic will not lead to the catastrophic events they fear, since many people fear they are having a heart attack or going crazy. How Can I Prevent Panic Attacks? You can take steps to lessen the chance of having panic attacks and learn to manage them better. Here are some tips: Take your time. It's important not to hope for a quick cure. Therapy takes time, and improvement comes in small steps. Go easy on yourself. People who feel panic tend to be overly critical of themselves. Learn to lower your level of everyday anxiety through a variety of techniques, including meditation and exercise. Learn other relaxation techniques, like deep breathing or guided imagery. Avoid stimulants, such as nicotine and caffeine, which can be found not only in coffee, but many teas, colas, and chocolate. Learn to recognize a panic attack. When you sense the first symptoms, know that other symptoms may follow. Take slow, deep breaths. Remember, you have survived them before and can do so again. http://www.Panic-Away.me TAGS Dealing, with,Anxiety, and,Panic,Attacks,Cure,Therapy, self,Help,Recovery,Social,Psychology, anxiety,Cure Panic Attacks,Stop Panic Attacks,Dealing with Anxiety,Howto, google, youtube, treatment, natural, treament, animation, overcome, get rid of,Educational,Eating,Pain, agoraphobia, hypochondria, hyperventilation, disorder, scared, afraid, terrified, meditation, one move technique,GAD,Stop Anxiety Attack,Stop panic attack,Relaxation Techniques for Panic Attacks,Panic Attack Treatment
