People want to know if burpees are the best exercise for getting the job done. Others want to know if battle ropes or even jump rope are better at burning calories and burning fat. While all of them are at the top of the list for the most calories burned on a minute per minute basis, they still are not the best way to lose five pounds of body fat the fastest. In this video, I show you how you can never outtrain a bad diet. If you refuse to pay attention to the quality of your nutrition and the foods you put in your mouth you are never going to have the low levels of body fat that you desire long term. Sure, anyone can follow a short term diet that allows them to lose fat for a few weeks however if you can’t keep it up then you will never be satisfied with your body fat levels over the course of the year. Mistakenly, people look to exercises as the best way to drop body fat. While you definitely need to train, achieving fat loss is and always will be better accomplished via the right nutrition plan. This goes back to the comment about never being able to outtrain a bad diet. You simply cannot make up enough calorie burn via exercise (even the most intense) to overcome bad food choices. For instance, our very own Jesse is a big sugar fanatic and a worshiper of gummy bears. Just 17 measly gummy bears has 150 calories. Even if Jesse were to do 10 minutes straight of high effort high intensity burpees, he would only burn 120 calories and he would lose that battle with a net calorie gain of 30. Now Jesse, being a hardgainer, is not concerned at the moment with his body fat levels. He was the only one wiling to do the burpees while I talked during the video being the good sport that he is. No matter how smooth-sailing your bodybuilding program might be running, it's inevitable that you'll be forced to take breaks from time to time. In the event of a training layoff, how long does it take to lose muscle mass and strength? Fortunately, the outlook usually isn't as bad as you might think. The exact time frame will vary from person to person, but as long as your nutrition is decently on point, you usually won't start to lose muscle until about 2 full weeks of inactivity. However, this is just when the muscle loss process will start, and it will still be quite gradual from week to week after that. So, even if your training layoff extends past 2 weeks into 3 or 4 weeks (or more) the vast majority of your gains will still be left in tact. One thing you usually will notice though is that you look a bit softer and flatter in the mirror. This is not the result of actual muscle atrophy though and is typically caused by losses in intramuscular fluid, glycogen and tissue inflammation due to the lack of weight training. Your strength may also go down slightly, but again, this is usually not from actual muscle loss and is instead due to neurological adaptations since strength is as much a "skill" as it is a result of muscular strength. Fortunately, any muscle loss or strength loss you do experience during a training layoff will come back much faster than it took to originally build due to the benefits of "muscle memory". Certain adaptations always remain within the muscles even if you stop training, and that will allow you to build muscle and gain strength at an accelerated pace once you return to the gym. So, if you do need to take a gym layoff and can't workout for a couple weeks or more, don't stress out about it too much. Your muscles are not going to magically fall off your body as a result of a few missed workouts. It takes 2 full weeks to start losing muscle, it's a slow process from there forward, and any muscle loss you do experience will come back pretty quickly once you start training again. Just try to keep your nutrition on point to minimize muscle breakdown while you're away from the gym, and remember that training layoffs are an inevitable part of any long term bodybuilding journey. There's no need for marathon cardio sessions or an extensive number of cardio workouts per week. To lose fat without losing muscle, just start with 2-3 sessions weekly. This will usually be enough for most people, and you should ideally space them at least 8 hours away from weight training for the best results. 3) Maintain a moderate calorie surplus. More aggressive deficits are okay in the short term, but to keep your hunger, energy levels, mood, training performance and lean muscle intact, just stick with a moderate calorie deficit of about 500 calories below maintenance. This will allow you to lose fat while maintaining muscle at a reasonable rate of about 1-2 pounds lost per week. 4) Consume sufficient daily protein and fat. Last on the list of tips to lose fat without losing muscle is to make sure your protein and fat needs are being met. Protein is responsible for repairing and building muscle mass, and you'll want to make sure you're getting between 0.8-1 gram per pound of body weight daily. Fat helps to keep your testosterone levels optimized and your mood in check, and you'll want to get around 25% of your total calories from dietary fat. If you want to maintain muscle while cutting, it's actually pretty simple. Just follow these 4 basic fat loss guidelines and you'll be able to lean down effectively and ensure that you lose fat, not muscle throughout your cutting phase.

Here are a few easy steps to help you lose weight. 1. Start Your Day with Lemon Water Lemon water is an excellent drink for weight loss. Lemon juice helps your body get the nutrients it needs to burn fat into energy and stop weight gain. Make sure to keep drinking lemon juice even after you lose weight, to keep your new weight. 2. Take Apple Cider Vinegar Because apple cider vinegar has acetic acid, it’s good for losing weight. Acetic acid stops body fat from building up. Apple cider vinegar also helps your body take in nutrients from the food you eat, treats digestive issues, and fights infections. 3. Replace Your Regular Tea/ Coffee with Green Tea Another good idea for weight loss is to drink green tea. Even though losing muscle is inevitable when cutting there are some steps you can take to prevent muscle loss and keep it to a minimum. I know that might sound kind of silly, but what I mean is that you have to continue to lift heavy and challenge yourself with the weight load that you use. All too often people will feel tired and weak while cutting so they allow that to dictate the intensity of their workout. When dieting you will feel like you have less energy because you will most likely be taking in a limited amount of calories per day in order to burn body fat. Many people automatically will just give in to this lack of energy and start dropping the weights they are using every week. This is a very bad strategy if you want to maintain as much muscle as possible during a cut. If you are dieting for six weeks I very highly doubt that you will be able to lift the same amount of weight for the same reps at the end of your diet as you did in the beginning of your diet. However, this doesn't mean that you should just drop the weight without fighting for every last pound. Try as hard as you can to not lower the intensity of your workouts when you are cutting. This means try to keep the wieght as heavy as usual, perform as many sets and exercises as usual, and don't do half ass workouts. Give your body a reason to maintain that muscle and it will. When you absolutely have to drop the weight because your rep range went from 8 reps at the start of the diet to 3 or 4 reps 4 weeks into it, then do it, but don't do it without a fight. And if you can somehow maintain the same weight load and intensity levels for your workouts for the entire cut then that would be ideal. Remember this..."the primary training stimulus required for maintaining muscle is maintaining your current levels of strength." Something else that you may have to be aware of in regard to training on a diet is that not only will your energy levels suffer but your ability to recover will also suffer. So to solve this problem I recommend lowering your training frequency. This means that if you were working out 6 days a week before your diet, you may want to lower that to 3 or 4 times a week if you feel like you are not fully recovering between workouts. I am not a big fan of decreasing training volume (which would mean lower sets, reps, or the number of exercises), but I think it is wise to lower training frequency on a cut to allow your muscles to fully recover in order to maintain strength. Because remember maintaining strength during a cut equals maintaining muscle mass during a cut. To help your recovery you should also avoid excessive cardio. Many people do tons of cardio while dieting because they think it'll help them burn more fat. While this may be true you will be hurting your recovery speed which will ultimately hurt your strength during your workouts, which i hope at this point is obvious to you that thats bad news for your muscles. Now what about diet. Obviously there are ways to structure your diet to prevent muscle loss. One major thing that's very critical for maintaining muscle is eat enough protein while cutting. High protein diets have proven to not only be effective for burning fat, but also are very effective for maintaining muscle mass. Try to have at least 1 gram of protein for every pound you weigh. Also do your best to have the majority of your carbs with a serving of protein both before and after your workout. This will help you maintain strength and in turn muscle mass throughout your cut. Another thing that you have to recognize is that cutting calories too much too fast is almost always going to result in more muscle being compromised.

I want to make this video about how to lose thigh fat because after doing a quick Google and YouTube search I realized that there is so much wrong information on this topic. Unfortunately these myths take advantage of women the most because women are most effected by excess fat in their lower body due to the fact that women tend to store fat in the hips and the thighs while men store it in their belly. One of the most common myths is that you can burn fat from the thighs by targeting the fat with specific exercises. Exercises like squats lunges hip Bridges and especially inner thigh exercises are believed to burn fat right off the thighs. I mean that's why you feel the burn in your legs right? Nope that's actually completely wrong. When you're working your legs or any other muscle in your body lactic acid is a by-product of relaxing and Contracting muscles. These lactic acids are actually whats responsible for that burning feeling so it's not thigh fat being burnt it's just muscle being broken down. Building muscle is not necessarily going to result with thinner legs. In fact building muscle without burning fat can lead to even bulkier thighs. And the worst thing is that a lot of the exercises that women are told to do to burn fat from the thighs are inner and outer thigh exercises that don't require a lot of energy to perform which means unfortunately there's not going to be that much fat burnt even if you have a good diet. Now don't get me wrong I'm not saying that you shouldn't workout your legs with resistance training exercises to improve your lower body. The only way to give your legs a nicely defined shape is to build some muscle on your thighs. Also when you do weighted compound exercises like squats you recruit a lot of very large muscles which will make you burn more calories which could ultimately lead to burning more fat. However the ultimate deciding factor of how much fat you burn from your thighs isn't about how much exercising you do, it's about how much fat you're burning from your diet. Any kind of Target fat burning approache or spot reducing approache cannot work because we know that fat gets burnt across your whole body and not from any one specific concentrated area. This means that inner thigh exercises, body wraps, fat burner pills, and detox drinks arent going to do much for you. Fat burning creams believe it or not have shown to have some minor results in studies. However the results are so insignificant and that they might as well be considered negligible. Also I have a feeling that if you're applying something to your skin that's burning your fat underneath, it probably isn't that great for you health-wise. But I mean if losing an eighth of an inch from your thighs is worth sacrificing your health for then by all means go for it. And then there's CoolSculpting which is becoming more and more popular by the day for the quick fix Crowd. Here they apparantly will freeze the fat off with "controlled cooling". Many claim that its impossible to freeze fat cells without destroying skin cells and getting frost bite in the process. Whether that's true or not, it is well known that you have to have more than one treatment to see any kind of results, and even after multiple treatments results are described as mild. So the only way to really effectively burn thigh fat is by burning fat from your whole body through diet modification. There are a lot of diet plans out there you just have to find one that works for you. There's intermittent fasting, carb cycling plans, theres the ketogenic diet, you can do calorie counting or if it fits your Macros. Just make sure that whatever plan you do fits your lifestyle and is something you can be consistent with. Because yo yo dieting isn't gonna get you very far. Do you have a little extra padding around the middle? Love handles are one of the toughest areas to trim into shape, but there are measures you can take to tone your sides and abs. Keep watching on to learn what lifestyle, diet and exercise techniques you can use to get rid of love handles. 1.Do planks. Get into a push up position with your body forming a straight line from ankles to shoulders. Hold this position, while on your hands or elbows for 30 seconds to 3 minutes. 2.Do side planks. Put your body weight onto your right arm while you are in plank position. Turn your body until your weight rests on your right arm or elbow and right foot. • Make sure you form a straight line from foot to the top of your head. Don't allow your body to sink into your shoulder joint. Hold the position for 30 seconds to 2 minutes. Switch sides and repeat. 3.Do side plank dips. Get in your side plank position and drop your right hip down slightly and lift it up. Do 10 sets of dips, then switch sides. 4.Try the bicycle move.
