This video explains how to use the command: SCALE. It is basicaly used to simply change the size of a figure or when we insert an external image or drawing from another file (that it is in a another scale). We recommend to not use this command to print the drawing. There is another way (changing the scale of the Layout)! How to Calculate Growth Rate or Percent Change

01:47
Watch more How to Start a Business videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/410859-How-to-Calculate-Growth-Rate-or-Percent-Change Subtract, divide, and multiply your way to successfully determining how much that increase or decrease really amounts to. Step 1: Subtract the past number from the current number Subtract the past number from the current number. For example if the price of gas this year was $3.25 a gallon and last year it was $2.75 a gallon calculate $3.25 minus $2.75 to equal $0.50. Tip To calculate the predicted percent increase or decrease, subtract the current amount from the future predicted amount. Step 2: Divide Divide the past number from the subtracted amount. From the earlier example, divide $0.50 by $2.75 to equal .1818. Use a calculator if your division skills need sharpening. Step 3: Multiply by 100 Multiply the final number by 100. In the example, the end result equals 18.18. Step 4: Add a percent sign Add a percent sign to the end to finish your calculated percent growth. Our example ends in 18.18 percent. Tip If the final number is negative, the result would be a decline, not a growth. Step 5: Round up or down Round up if the number is five or over and round down if the number is under five. Rounding to the first decimal would equal 18.2 percent or to the nearest whole number, 18 percent. Did You Know? French mathematician Blaise Pascal invented the first adding machine in 1642. It could only perform the mathematical equations of addition and subtraction.

Building Cost + How It Impacts Design (An Architect's Guide) | Architecture Short Course (Part 3)

14:34
Building cost has a direct impact on our design and it's one of the most basic and obvious concerns for architects and clients. In this video I'll show you how I use it as a creative constraint that informs our building design. Building cost is divided into two general categories: soft and hard costs. Soft costs are the indirect cost of design: architectural fees, consultant fees, permitting, financing, and legal fees. Hard costs are all the cost directly attributed to the construction of the physical building. Early on in the design process we know little about the building and so we use square footage as a means for estimating the building's cost to construct. But square footage alone won't provide all the information we need to properly describe the cost of a structure, some spaces cost more to build than others. Factoring the square footage provides an added level of precision and allows clients and architects to better plan how design affects the overall budget. Planning for unforeseeable conditions is important as well and I describe how much of a contingency to add to the project at each phase of the work. Cost considerations are crucial to realizing both our client's project and our vision for the work in the world and this video shares the framework I use to get there. // GEAR I USE // DSLR CAMERA: * Canon 70D: http://amzn.to/29klz7k LENSES: * Canon 24mm f2.8 Lens: http://amzn.to/29l7ac5 * Canon 40mm f2.8 Lens: http://amzn.to/29x2QcI AUDIO: * Rode VideoMic Pro (hotshoe mtd.): http://amzn.to/29qlNM3 * ATR-2100 USB (dynamic mic): http://amzn.to/2dFDaKp ARCHITECTURE GEAR: * Prismacolor Markers: http://thirtybyforty.com/markers * Timelapse Camera: http://thirtybyforty.com/brinno * AutoCAD LT: http://amzn.to/2dxjMDH * SketchUp PRO: http://amzn.to/2cRcojz * HP T120 Plotter: http://amzn.to/2dBGf1O * Adobe CC Photography (Photoshop/Lightroom) Plan: http://amzn.to/2dhq5ap STARTUP TOOLKIT: * Architect + Entrepreneur Startup Toolkit: http://thirtybyforty.com/SPL -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "Inside My Sketchbook + An Architect's Sketching Tools" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8LBr6cZPuY -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-

Reducing carbon with algae at local power plan

02:34
YOUR DESCRIPTION HAS REACHED THE LIMIT OF CHARACTERS ALLOWED AND WAS CUT. BOONE COUNTY, Ky. (Josh Knight) -- While algae might be a nuisance in your fish tank, researchers think it might be part of the answer to slowing greenhouse gas emissions at power plants, and ultimately climate change. As global carbon dioxide levels continue to go up, more mandates are likely to come down and power plants need solutions. About half of the electricity produced in the United States is done at coal fire plants like the Duke Energy East Bend Station in Boone County. That process releases gas into the air and now it's being trapped and used to grow algae. Then the algae can be turned into other important things. "We've made jet fuel, we've made renewable diesel fuel," said Biofuels Research Engineer Michael Wilson with the University of Kentucky. Going from algae to jet fuel may sound like a big jump, but making new materials out of coal burning byproducts has been going on for years. Doug Durst, Technology Development Manager with Duke Energy, explained the majority of what can be seen at a power plant isn't actually generating electricity. The coal burning and the spinning turbine are housed in one area and the rest is all environmental equipment. Over the years, as environmental laws are passed, new equipment is added that traps different chemicals. At this plant, things like sulfur, ash, and mercury are no longer released into the air, but it goes one step farther. The byproducts created while capturing these chemicals can sold and used in concrete and even drywall manufacturing. "The flue gas coming from a coal fire plant, ten percent of it is CO2," Durst said. Nitrogen is the most abundant gas coming from the stack (also the most abundant gas naturally found in the atmosphere) and the part you can see is predominantly water vapor. The University of Kentucky and Duke Energy have partnered on this project to capture the flue gas and grow algae. Algae research is happening around the world, but this is the only place in the country where the team is tied into an actual power plant. The gas coming out the stack is actually the same gas running through the tubes. "We've got it in an applied nature at a pilot level and now we're just going to be improving efficiencies," said Wilson. Algae are growing in clear tubes several feet tall. "Algae are microscopic water balloons, dissolved and very diluted in water," said Wilson. Like all plants, they grow and make food using carbon dioxide, sunlight, and water through photosynthesis. Inside the tubes with the flue gas, they have all the carbon dioxide they could want. Wilson said, "it's a Kentucky alga, readily found in many of the waterways around here. We're harnessing its ability to do photosynthesis very, very fast. So it's consuming CO2 as it grows." At this point, the amount of gas being diverted is miniscule, "It's the equivalent to a leak in the duct work," said Durst. However, they're proving it's possible. "They call it research for a reason, there's a 're' in research, so you're going to do it over and over again until you find a way that works," Wilson said. In order to scale this up, to take on all of the flue gas, it would be a much bigger operation. "We're talking hundreds of acres, potentially square miles. That's just a factor of how quickly the organism grows and how much CO2 is being generated," Wilson said. "If you look at that from a positive side, you could say that's an awful lot of biomass we're producing, an awful lot of final product," he added. "They can double every day. So you could potentially take a harvest out of this reactor, if the growth conditions are r

Scale (map)

25:13
The scale of a map is the ratio of a distance on the map to the corresponding distance on the ground. This simple concept is complicated by the curvature of the Earth's surface, which forces scale to vary across a map. Because of this variation, the concept of scale becomes meaningful in two distinct ways. The first way is the ratio of the size of the generating globe to the size of the Earth. The generating globe is a conceptual model to which the Earth is shrunk and from which the map is projected. The ratio of the Earth's size to the generating globe's size is called the nominal scale (= principal scale = representative fraction). Many maps state the nominal scale and may even display a bar scale (sometimes merely called a 'scale') to represent it. The second distinct concept of scale applies to the variation in scale across a map. It is the ratio of the mapped point's scale to the nominal scale. In this case 'scale' means the scale factor (= point scale = particular scale). This video is targeted to blind users. A lot of people get way too hung up on this, and it's really just not necessary. Having an approximate idea of where your body fat levels are at is useful because it will help you to properly regulate your bulking and cutting cycles, but if you're an average trainee who just wants to build muscle, lose fat and just look good in general (and you're not competing or trying to lean down to a fully "ripped body" by a certain date), trying to figure out whether you're 8% body fat versus 10% body fat or 12% body fat versus 14% body fat is just not something you should be worrying about. The first and most important reason for this is the simple fact that there's just no way to measure body fat percentage with 100% accuracy in the first place. Unless you were to physically cut your body into pieces and measure exactly how much fat you were carrying, all methods of measuring body fat (such as body fat calipers, bod pod, body fat scales or DEXA scans) have certain flaws and they'll always have a margin for error. Even a DEXA scan which is generally considered as the "gold standard" for measuring body fat can still be off by several percent, so even with DEXA you're not guaranteed to be getting an exact figure. Secondly, if you're trying to figure out your body fat percentage, then chances are you're doing it because you simply want your physique to look a certain way. In that case, what matters is not what percentage you see listed on a piece of paper, but what matters is how you actually look, and different people can look very different even if they're at the same body fat percentage. 12% body fat isn't going to produce the same visual look across the board for every person because it depends on several factors, such as how much muscle you're carrying (the more muscle you've built the leaner you'll look even at a higher body fat) as well as body fat distribution which is mostly a product of genetics. So again, it really just comes down to looking in the mirror or looking at progress photos and deciding what level of leanness you want to achieve. If a DEXA scan tells you that you're 15% but your abs are visible and you're happy with how you look, then it wouldn't make any sense to lose fat and lean down further just because you saw that you're favorite YouTuber is apparently 10% or because 15% "sounds higher" than you'd like. The other point I'd make on this is to keep in mind that most people way under estimate their body fat percentage for the most part. I see guys all the time posting pictures saying they're 8% body fat, when in reality they're probably at least 12%. Or guys who say they're 14% and are literally probably more like 20%. So I would strongly recommend that you don't start comparing yourself to what you read in the comments section on YouTube fitness videos or on Facebook or Instagram because most people who claim to be a certain body fat level are actually a lot higher than they think. Another thing that can be tricky with measuring body fat as well is how different your physique can look based on the lighting you're under. If you take a flexed picture under really good lighting that really brings out your muscle definition versus standing under crappy lighting that just washes out your physique, it can literally look like a before and after transformation. So lighting plays a big role in how lean you look in the mirror or in pictures and that can make it tough to estimate your body fat percentage as well. Bottom line: if you're an average trainee trying to build a lean and muscular body, having a rough idea of your body fat percentage can be useful, but there's no need to get hung up on the precise number. There's no way to know it in the first place, and at the end of the day it just comes down to how you look anyway. P.S. In this video, I discuss how to figure out the proper way to calculate how much of each ingredient to add to a recipe if you know how much of the recipe you want to end up with. Specifically, the problem states, "A muffin recipe calls for 3/4 cups sugar for 3 dozen muffins. How much sugar will you use to make 8 dozen?"

HOME Body Fat Testing - What's YOUR Bodyfat Percentage?

11:46
Compare your body fat percentage with this chart... http://athleanx.com/x/bodyfatcomparison One of the biggest mistakes you can make when gauging your body fat percentage progress on a workout program is to rely on a scale. A scale is only going to tell you how much you weigh and will not give you any information on whether you are losing fat or gaining muscle. In order to know just how much body fat you are dropping you need to have a reliable way to measure this...and unfortunately, most of the options are not that consistent or reliable. That said, if you could have access to a few methods for testing your own body fat levels in the convenience of your own home, you might be able to see where you are a bit more frequently. Even if the accuracy wasn't spot on, you would still be able to monitor the week to week fluctuations in the body fat percentages that you are seeing and would know the direction you are moving in. In this video, I cover four of the most common methods for testing body fat percentages at home. I tell you the flaws and the positives with each method. From online body fat calculators to bioelectrical impedance scales to skinfold caliper testing to the old fashioned mirror...each method is reviewed and actual body fat testing results are revealed. Also, be sure to watch how important knowing your body fat levels are when determining your fitness. You'll see how two people can weigh exactly the same and look drastically different. Hint...it all has to do with lean body mass! For more videos on fat burning workouts and muscle gaining exercises to help you change your body fat levels and see noticeable changes each time you do measure your percentages, be sure to check out our youtube channel at http://youtube.com/user/jdcav24 For a body fat percentage comparison chart, be sure to click on the link at the top of the description. You'll be able to see where you are currently, and where you want to get to in the next 90 days and beyond.

Body Fat Percentage Versus BMI or Body Mass Index | Gaining Muscle and Losing Fat? Use the Scale?

Sign up for my free tools and newsletter at http://www.FatlossLifestyle.com The only thing that can come from only using the scale to see if your exercise program is working is "Bad News". If you really want to know if your program is working for you you need more tools. You see; our body is made up of about 60% water. A 150 lb. person has about 100 lbs. of water. That water goes in and out of cells, muscle, organs depending on many factores. For women a certain time of the month, for higher intake of sodium, for intake of different types of carbs, etc. My point is that your bodyweight fluctates for so many reasons that we can't figure it out. Three ways that are better than just using the scale to see if your fitness program is working is: #1 The way your clothes fit If your pants are more lose around the waist and you have more room in your clothes than more than likely are losing fat. #2 To use a clothe tape and a scale. The waist line measurement and the scale give you a lot better feedback. If the scale stays the same and the waist measurement goes down, then you are losing fat and gaining muscle. If the scale stays the same and the waist measurement goes up then you are gaining fat. #3 One site skin fold caliper kit. They are very easy to use and very affordable. Just google search for them. The feedback is much more precise than the other methods above. The three #'s that are important to monitor are; 1. Overall bodyfat % 2. Fat weight 3. Lean Body Mass These kit are very easy to use and within one minute you will know if you are losing, gaining, or maintaining muscle and fat. Using one or all three of these techniques you will be able to find out what works and what does not work at gaining muscle and losing fat. If you have been following me for any length of time you know that I believe that one of the most important factors in transforming your body and life is "muscle confusion". Simply put; you can't do the same exercises the same way all the time. You must give your muscles something new and different. How to Change the Size of Objects in AutoCAD

01:27
Follow this step by step tutorial to learn how to use the Lengthening tool to resize objects in AutoCAD. Don't forget to check out our site http://howtech.tv/ for more free how-to videos! http://youtube.com/ithowtovids - our feed http://www.facebook.com/howtechtv - join us on facebook https://plus.google.com/103440382717658277879 - our group in Google+ After an object has already been made in AutoCAD, its length can be altered using the "Lengthen" tool. This tool allows you to alter the length of different lines already existing in your workspace, change sizes in AutoCAD or resize in AutoCAD. There are more than one ways to carry out this process. The steps to use this tool are explained in the tutorial given below. Step # 1 -- Select the "Lengthen" tool The length of the line present here can be increased or decreased according to your own requirement. To do this, you can change sizes in AutoCAD. Select the "Lengthen" tool from the extended options in the "Modify" panel. Right clicking after selecting it provides you with a set of options according to which you can specify the alteration in measurements. Step # 2 -- Select the "total" option Select the "Total" option which allows you to enter the total length you want your object to have. Press enter and click on the object to alter its length and resize in AutoCAD. Step # 3 -- Apply on a closed object The same process can be applied on a closed linear object made from the "Line" tool. The lines get trimmed according to the specified distance. It trims off from the edge you click at. Step # 4 -- Select the "Delta" option There are other options that you can use as well. Right click and select the "Delta" option. The value that you now enter, whichever object you click on increases its length by that specified value. If you enter a negative value then the length of the CAD object will decrease accordingly and change size in AutoCAD. Step # 5 -- Use the "Dynamic" option The length can also be modified in AutoCAD by specifying the percentage of alteration. The last option which is "Dynamic" allows you to alter the length of the objects manually. Click on the object with it and resize in AutoCAD according to your requirement. Keep in mind that when you select one option, then to select another you first have to press "ESC", get rid of the command and then pick the tool again. This tool is useful when while maintaining accuracy in dimensions in your drawings.

Math Snacks: Scale Ella

10:45
Math Snacks are short animations and mini-games designed to present mathematics in a very different way. In fact, we hope these snacks don't look like traditional math at all. Math Snacks give students, especially those who don't particularly like math, another way to look at math concepts. Math Snacks principles relate to the core mathematics concepts that students should know and be able to do in grades 6, 7 and 8. The availability of Snacks on the Internet, iPhone and iPad, makes it possible for students to enjoy the games and animations during non-school time as well as in class. Students can work with the snacks on their way to and from school, and at home or in libraries or after-school centers. The accompanying print materials can assist learners in applying their conceptual understanding to additional math activities and problems. Math Snacks reflect research on gaps in mathematics understanding. Educational researchers compiled data on what students don't currently understand and the concepts that teachers have a difficult time conveying to their students. Math Snacks researchers observed and worked in classrooms to learn the problems students were having with math. The Math Snacks team also includes experts in the area of games, animations and learning. Using the Dual Immersion Design Process created at NMSU Learning Games Lab, team mathematicians, math educators, researchers and game developers work collaboratively to provide access to powerful learning tools. Most developer resources are available to our team, which include our learning objectives and other working documents. Math Snacks materials are pilot tested throughout development. Beginning in the fall of 2012, Math Snacks materials will be evaluated using random trials in school and after-school settings. By 2014, the Math Snacks suite will include 20 different animations and games, and all learner tools will be translated into Spanish. Math Snacks development, outreach and research is currently funded by a K-12 Discovery Learning grant from the National Science Foundation led by Dr. Karin Wiburg (Barbara Chamberlin and Ted Stanford are co-PIs). Initial animations and games were originally funded as part of a larger national project from the U.S. Department of Education, led by Tim Best (the Ohio State University) and Sheila Cassidy (Wexford Consulting), with Dr. Wiburg and Dr. Chamberlin as Co-PIs. http://mathsnacks.com http://learninggameslab.org © 2014 NMSU Board of Regents. Losing body fat is easy to do if you know how to use fatty acids as the energy source to keep you moving. Cardio on an empty stomach first thing in the morning is the best way to lose body fat. Good things happen when you have a low body fat percentage: you look better, you feel better, and you're healthier. But there's information overload about how to reduce body fat. Alpha is stepping in and throwing his fitness hat in the ring. He's offering his advice as he's been around the fitness and weight loss block a time or two. He's been an owner fitness centers and a nutrition store. The number one way to reduce your body fat the fastest, easiest, and safest is doing cardio 1st thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Doing it for 30-minutes first thing in the morning is the same as an hour-and-half later in the day. The body dips into your fat stores as the energy to keep going. You have to do the cardio in your target zone: 220 - your age = number That number is multiplied by .6 as well as by .75 Those two numbers are your lower and upper range. You will be using nothing but fatty acids to keep going in that zone. You don't have to go the gym. You can walk around the neighborhood or jog in place. Simply get your heart rate in that zone. There's so much information out there that is rogue science. Alpha also discusses 'muscle memory'. He reiterates that muscle doesn't disappear from missing meals. Muscle is not a 'precious snowflake. Try this method for two weeks with consecutive sessions. You will see the results. - See more at: http://www.iamalpham.com/index.php/topics/number-one-way-to-burn-body-fat/#sthash.Jg8mSlW8.dpuf

Urban Climates | Prof Gerald Mills (2018)

03:30
With cities responsible for over 75 percent of the carbon dioxide (CO2) emitted into the atmosphere, the city represents an ideal place of scale to affect climate change. “There are many examples of cities that have clearly gone down the wrong path and now are trying to reverse themselves,” says Professor Mills, UCD School of Geography, University College Dublin. “If you take the Chinese cities that are emerging, the sheer scale of the urbanisation process, the level of industry, the level of pollution, is simply astonishing.” “Everything that we learned from New York City, Los Angeles, Dublin, London, and the large German cities of the past about air quality seems to have been entirely forgotten and is being relearned in those cities,” he adds. Using our knowledge of what makes up an urban ecosystem and the physical properties governing the creation of distinct urban climates (like airflow around buildings, the heat island, precipitation modification and air pollution), it is possible to moderate the undesirable consequences of urban development and help create more sustainable and resilient cities. The rate of urbanisation is greatest in poorer economies, where city building is taking place very rapidly. In the search for climate justice, it is critical that new cities do not follow the path taken by those elsewhere. Urban climate science is now a fully-fledged field and this book brings together the disparate parts of climate research on cities into a coherent framework. It is the first comprehensive survey of the effect of cities on climates at all scales and the impact of global and regional climate change on cities. Moreover, it places urban-scale adaption and mitigation strategies within the context of an urban climate science. It is an ideal resource for students and researchers in fields such as climatology, urban hydrology, air quality, environmental engineering and urban design. Urban Climates by T. R. Oke, University of British Columbia, Vancouver; G. Mills, University College Dublin; A. Christen, University of Freiburg; and J. A. Voogt, University of Western Ontario (Cambridge University Press) develops a comprehensive terminology for the subject using scale and surface classification as key constructs. Urban Climates was published by @CambridgeUP: https://www.cambridge.org/core/books/urban-climates/A02424592E1C7F9B9CD69DAD57A5B50B Reviews: “A signature textbook has been lacking for some time now within the field of Urban Climate. We now have it. The content, quality and scope of Urban Climates are just what you would expect from some of the most respected urban climatologists in the world. I look forward to using it for my applied climatology in the urban environment class at the University of Georgia.” - Marshall Shepherd, University of Georgia and former President of the American Meteorological Society. “Urban Climates is a must-read for students and scientists. From climatology to urban planning, it is very clear and complete, from concepts and processes to practical implementation and adaptation of cities to climate. It is illustrated with explicative diagrams of exceptional quality and many examples of this 'collection of microclimates' in various cities. Beyond the clear and rigorous overview of the physics of the urban atmosphere, Urban Climates offers a fantastic travel through the history of climate in cities around the world, from preindustrial cities and before to modern high-rise megacities.” - Valéry Masson, Météo-France and Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique. Why Uber Is A Scam - Math Explains

05:37
Ok so I was looking at this graph put on Uber’s website today and thought it looked too good to be true. How amazing that Uber drivers make more than any other type of driver. But I knew from my own experience as a rider that Uber didn’t cost that much. In fact, Uber is pretty cheap if you’re a passenger. Sooooo…. how can uber be so cheap, and yet the drivers make so much money??? Now Uber has cut pay to drivers in Detroit to 24cents a mile , but we’re going to stick to the 90c for now. Uber takes 20% of the total fare from the driver for older drivers. Newer drivers get 25% taken. So we’re down to 67.5c per mile. Then you have to deduct tax: In some LA County's, sales tax is as high as 10%, and Uber doesn’t withold taxes for you. The drives are responsible for keeping this money aside to pay the tax department in April. So with the 10% deducted, we’re down to (just over 60 cents) 60.75c Now we need to factor in depreciation of the car. A car is an asset like anything else, and will eventually wear out and you’ll have to buy a new one. Every mile you drive decreases the value of your car and brings you that much closer to needing a new one. This is a big problem if you drive for a living, you’re going to need to buy a new car every two or three years and the cost of a new car is significant. The IRS estimates vehicle cost to drive a vehicle for work at $0.54 a mile . Broken down into Fuel costs @ an average of 12c per mile Depreciation at $0.24c per mile. Repairs, tyres, & maintainence at 9c per mile Insurance, licence, registration, finance, fees - average out to around 9c per mile So with 54c depreciation, repairs, and fuel accounted for, we’re down to just over 6c per mile that actually goes into your hands of drivers. Given that Uber also asks its drivers to buy things like bottles of water, gum, and chargers for it’s passengers, we can say for certain that driving for Uber pays well below minimum wage or even worse, costing drivers money (as is seen directly in this actual fare uber charged one of it’s drivers). So given the math is so bad, why does anyone drive for Uber? Here’s an example of a post an Uber driver posted - he was $400 behind on the rent, and needed to make up some quick cash. In a way, uber is kind of like a loans scheme. Now for some people in desperate circumstances, what Uber’s offering might be an acceptable deal. But for most people, driving for Uber is a waste of time. I wish Uber would be more honest with people. By our calculations, the amount you’re making as an uber driver is nowhere near $19 per hour. If you drive 30 miles per hour at 6.75c per hour, you’re only making $2.00 per mile - by far the worst choice of any transportation job. This number is supported by Not Cool Uber, who have tracked hourly earnings to be around $2.89 and, after vehicle fees are taken into account, $0. Now – I’m not against car pooling. We all need transport, and I know I am a frequent user of Uber & Lyft. But I think that Uber is going about it in an unethical way, which makes me unethical for supporting them as a customer. Uber could easily fix this situation : by reducing their commission, by making rates more reasonable, by giving riders the option to Tip their drivers, or just by being transparent. But that would mean admitting that they’ve generated significant revenue from effectively exploiting their drivers. So the truth is, Uber benefits from maintaining this status quo. Uber is currently reported to be making $10 billion in revenue per year - and that money has to come from someone. Just don’t let that someone be you. Grow Back Your Hair in 6 Months | Hair Transplant

13:17
I went to the Natural Hair Transplant Medical Center in Newport Beach, where Dr. Chang and his father (also Dr. Chang!) performed FUT hair transplant on me. I thought I'd fill in the little spots on the front of my head, but I didn't know I would feel so much younger and more confident. I'm having so much fun letting the hair grow out a bit and styling it rather than keeping it super short like I used to. Check out my before and after photos, share the video with someone who might need it, and don't forget to like and subscribe for more health and beauty videos regularly! Check out the website of the place I chose: https://hairtransplant.com/ and reach out to them with your questions or to book an appointment.. You won't regret it! All text beyond this point is from https://hairtransplant.com ... A Personalized Hair Loss Treatment Plan For You: Every person is unique, so is your hair loss. Therefore we will design a special hair loss treatment plan just for you, based on your gender, age, size of hair loss and pattern, in addition to your desire and budget. After we have all the information then we can determine if a treatment can benefit you. If the answer is yes, then the next question is medication, surgery or both. If you need medication, which medication can help you? If you need a surgery, we then decide on the coverage area, density and size of grafts. We all have different hair color, texture, density, gender, age, hair loss size and location. Using only one graft size (single follicular unit) to deal with all factors is not for patients’ best interest. NHT Medical Center uses three types of grafts (single hair follicular unit, follicular unit and modified follicular unit). The blend of these three types of grafts will provide you the most dense and natural looking results at an affordable price. We perform the NHT Anesthesia Technique. Ninety-nine percent of our patients consider pain scale the hair transplant experience almost as easy as a hair cut. FUT vs FUE The cost of the FUE method is much higher than FUT and yet most patients still prefer it. Because it misleads a lot of people thinking that the newest technique should be the best. The FUE method for hair transplant has been around since 2002, which makes it 12 years. It is currently as popular as FUT method for hair transplant surgery. According to the statistics at the 2014 ISHRS annual meeting, 89% of the hair surgeons perform it. Personally I would not recommend it. Except for very limited indications, FUE is not the patient’s best interest. The reasons are 1. FUE does not reduce the scars but instead spreads it into much larger areas. Thousands of scars will be left forever and only covered up by the adjacent hair temporarily. One day, the hair around the donor site get thinner or narrower than the safe zone; the scars will become visible and will be impossible to cover up. Instead of FUE, FUT reduces the scar down to 1/10th most of the time. It’s still not visible as long as you keep the surrounding hair one centimeter long. 2. FUE can’t use the best donor available but will instead ruin it. Punch scars can change the hair direction during growth. FUE is a blind procedure and it will harder to punch intact grafts for future procedures. As a hair transplant surgeon, I am always concerned that there will not be enough donor to cover the balding area. Damaging the donor is the worst possible thing that can happen.

Can Tesla Rebuild Puerto Rico Power Grid? (Sí Se Puede)

11:40
Hurricane Irma and Maria have devastated Puerto Rico. Elon Musk offered to help, and in a few short weeks, they’ve already installed a new sustainable energy system for the Hospital del Niño in San Juan (that’s the children’s hospital). Elon called this the first of many solar + battery projects going live in Puerto Rico. // Get these updates https://teslanomics.co/join This got me thinking, what if we wanted to rebuild all of Puerto Rico with these solar+battery combinations? What would it take, and would it last? Today we’re going to take a look at what it would take to rebuild Puerto Rico with 100% solar and battery combinations from Tesla.  First, let’s revisit how we got here...On Wednesday, Sept 20th Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico with 155mph winds and feet of rain pouring down leaving 3.4M Americans without power. Maria was technically a category four storm but came just on the heels of the most potent hurricane in record history, hurricane Irma. Hurricane Irma wasn’t the direct hit to the US Territory that Maria was. However, it left nearly 1M without power for almost two weeks.  When Maria struck, it didn’t skirt around the island like hurricanes typically do; it cut straight across the middle of it. Making things worse the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA) had recently declared bankruptcy, losing 30% of its workforce since 2012. Aging infrastructure across the island makes the grid more susceptible to damage from storms; the median age of PREPA power plants is 44 years. Inadequate safety also plagues the company and local newspapers frequently describe poor maintenance and outdated controls. All of these factors combined in the worst possible scenario for the 3.4M American’s living on the island, resulting in 100% power failure for the island. Phone lines went down, generators kicked in while they still had diesel, and everyone did what they could to survive. Even now, weeks after the disaster, many residents don’t have power, and all signs show that it will be months before the situation changes. Tesla can make this happen for Puerto Rico. And they already are. But could they realistically convert the island over to 100% renewables using solar and batteries?  Yes, they can. In fact, they’ve done it before, in Ta’u in American Samoa and recently Kauai Hawaii. The island of Ta’u story is special though...In Nov 2016 Tesla unveiled a project it completed in Ta’u. Their report sated The island of Ta’u in American Samoa, located more than 4,000 miles from the West Coast of the United States, now hosts a solar power and battery storage-enabled microgrid that can supply nearly 100 percent of the island’s power needs from renewable energy. This provides a cost-saving alternative to diesel, removing the hazards of power intermittency and making outages a thing of the past. This was a baby step but an important one to highlight what’s possible. The island of Ta’u is tiny compared to Puerto Rico. But the next time Tesla attempted this was for a bigger island. The Island of Kauai in Hawaii. The project in Kauai was more recent, just this past March of 2017, and doesn’t cover the entire island, but is a much more significant system, like they one they’d need in Puerto Rico. In the announcement about the Kauai project Tesla stated  "To achieve a sustainable energy future the world needs reliable, renewable energy around the clock. The island of Kauai has an abundance of solar energy, but it can only be used when the sun is shining. Kauai burns millions of gallons of fossil fuels annually to produce energy at night. Until now. Tesla’s 52 MWh Tesla Powerpack and 13 MW solar farm will store solar energy produced during the day and deliver it to the grid during the evening hours to reduce a number of fossil fuels needed to meet energy demand. This dispatchable solar project represents the first time a utility contracted for a system of this scale that stores and delivers solar energy after sunset.” They also just finished the install of the worlds largest battery installation in Southern Australia which is 129 MWh, nearly 2 and a half times as big as the Kauai system. // View entire post here: https://teslanomics.co/can-tesla-rebuild-puerto-rico-power-grid-si-se-puede // New here? RV covered with solar panels : Dethleffs ehome

08:17
Very few industries are currently faced with a scale of change as significant as that of the automotive industry. Developing alternatives to the combustion engine is a considerable task, essential to ensuring sustainable mobility. The Erwin Hymer Group has long conducted research in the area of alternative vehicular technology. At the 2017 Caravan Salon, with their brand Dethleffs, they presented their e.home case study, a motorhome in which all the equipment was powered by the sun. The market for electromobility is constantly growing. According to experts’ estimates, the share of electrically-powered vehicles worldwide will increase to around 30 to 40 percent by the year 2030. As a modern and sustainable drive technology, electromobility reduces dependence on fossil fuels, while simultaneously harnessing great potential in regard to climate protection and entry into new markets. The worldwide number of electric cars rose by around 73 percent to 1.3 million vehicles in the year 2016. By 2020, according to government plans, there should be one million electric vehicles on German roads alone. A motorhome that produces electricity The conceptual study e.home is a solely electrically-powered mobile home based on an Iveco Daily Electric chassis. Three sodium-nickel chloride batteries with an output of 3x76Ah at 400 volt integrated in the chassis allow an initial range of 180 kilometres. The whole living area draws electricity through the vehicle’s batteries. There is no longer a gas supply; rather, all cooking and heating is carried out exclusively with electricity. A further particularity: the vehicle simultaneously collects and stores energy. A photo-voltaic foil with a thin layer of solar cells was built extensively onto the vehicle. With a total area of 31 square metres, it produces additional electricity with an output of 3,000 watts. Alongside the electric drive, the e.home study shows numerous innovative details, such as electric black-out windows. An electric, dimmable sheet between the isolation panes of the window would ensure privacy and protect from glare and heat. Further functions include a driver assistance pack and a cross-component bus system with voice control. Requirement for mobility in the future “The focus of our development is currently on areas such as battery capacity, vehicle weight and construction, as we want to increase the range of our vehicles quickly. Our electric vehicle will be ready for the market when it can travel 500 kilometres without having to be charged from time to time”, says Jan de Haas, board member of the Erwin Hymer Group. The development of the charging infrastructure is also occurring with increasing speed. The number of charging stations in Germany should be extended from 7,500 stations today to 20,000 units by 2020, with assistance from government incentive programmes. The long-term goal of the European Union is extensive coverage with at least 750,000 charging stations, of which 150,000 would be in Germany. The charging speed is also a development in progress. Currently, quick charging stations already charge to a completely full battery in two hours. Charging to 80 per cent only takes 20 minutes. Innovative design approach for lightweight construction In order to reach the largest range possible with electric vehicles, the weight of the vehicle is a deciding factor along with the battery performance. An important research area of the Erwin Hymer Group is therefore lightweight construction. The new construction approach ICON (Intelligent Construction) was first used in relation to the caravan “Coco” from the brand Dethleffs, which only weighs 638 kilogrammes. Through the combination of bionic design and computerised structure optimisation, as well as the implementation of multifunctional building groups and intelligent materials, the weight can not only be decreased significantly, but stability can also be increased.

Paul Andersen explains pH as the power of hydrogen. He explains how increases in the hydronium ion (or hydrogen ion) concentration can lower the pH and create acids. He also explains how the reverse is true. An analysis of a strong acid and strong base is also included.
