It's free and very enlightening. Dr. Berg takes about the relationship between insulin resistance, potassium and blood pressure. Blood pressure is a potassium deficiency, not a a sodium excess. However, if someone has a problem with insulin, potassium is even more deficient. Potassium is controlled by insulin. When there is insulin resistance, potassium becomes deficient. By spiking potassium in a pre-diabetic or a diabetic state, the need for insulin can reduce. Potassium bicarbonate reduces blood pressure

10:42
Hi, this is Larry Hobbs @ FatNews.com. http://fatnews.com/ https://twitter.com/fatnews Potassium bicarbonate reduced my blood pressure by about 20 points to 121/72 mm Hg Potassium bicarbonate reduced my blood pressure by about 20 points from roughly 140/70-something to 121/72 mm Hg. Potassium chloride is the more commonly-recommended form, however, the research suggests to me that potassium bicarbonate is superior to potassium chloride for many reasons. Here's why. Potassium Intake We used to consume a lot more potassium It has been estimated that in Paleolithic Times, humans used to consume… “... in excess of 280 meq (10,900 mg)” of potassium per day, compared to modern humans who consume “about 80 meq (3100 mg) of potassium per day.” Sodium Intake We used to consume a lot less sodium It has been estimated that in Paleolithic Times, humans used to consume “about 29 meq (670 mg)” of sodium per day, compared to modern humans who consume “between 100-300 meq (2300-6900 mg)” of sodium per day. Potassium and Sodium Ratio The ratio of potassium-to-sodium has changed 30-fold In other words, we used to consume • 3-4 times more potassium than we do today, (10,900 mg vs 3100 mg potassium per day) and • today, we consume 3 to 10 times more sodium than we used to. (2300-6900 mg vs 670 mg sodium per day). The ratio of potassium-to-sodium intake has changed 30-fold, from Paleolithic Times until now, from 10 parts Potassium to 1 part Sodium to 1 part Potassium to 3 parts Sodium (10 part Potassium to 30 parts Sodium) Bicarbonate intake We used to consume more bicarbonate or bicarbonate-generating salts Most of the potassium in food is in the form of acid-neutralizing “bicarbonate-generating” organic acid salts ( like potassium citrate and potassium malate. ) Chloride intake We used to consume a lot less chloride Whereas most of the sodium in food is in the form of sodium chloride (salt). Therefore, since we used to consume a lot more potassium, we also used to get a lot more bicarbonate. Therefore, since we used to consume and a lot less sodium, we also used to get and a lot less chloride. Our Genes Our genes evolved to handle the way we used to eat Our genes evolved to handle the way we used to eat, that is consuming • a lot more potassium • a lot more bicarbonate • a lot less sodium • a lot less chloride Our Diet Our diet is ‘profoundly mismatched’ to our genes, and it gets worse as we get older Therefore, our diet is “profoundly mismatched” to our genes, and the extent of this mismatch “increases with age”. Too much Sodium and Chloride, Not enough potassium and bicarbonate Our diet is ‘profoundly mismatched’ to our genes, and it gets worse as we get older As a consequence of this mismatch, we are “not only overloaded with sodium and chloride” but we are also “deficient in potassium and bicarbonate” the authors of the paper note. Potassium Chloride vs Potassium Bicarbonate Our diet is ‘profoundly mismatched’ to our genes, and it gets worse as we get older Potassium Bicarbonate reduced blood pressure in stroke-prone, spontaneously hypertensive rats, whereas Potassium Chloride did NOT. There were also NO strokes (0%) in the rats given Potassium Bicarbonate, whereas 35% of rats given Potassium Chloride had strokes. Blood pressure in these stroke-prone, spontaneously hypertensive rats was: • 44/35 mm Hg lower w/ Pot. Bicarb. • 248/179 mm Hg Potassium Chloride • 226/161 mm Hg Control (rat chow) • 204/144 mm Hg Potassium Bicarb. REFERENCE Frassetto L, Morris RJ, Sellmeyer D, Todd K, Sebastian A. Potassium Chloride Uses - Benefits and Dangers

06:35
Click on the link below for a free video guide to dietary supplements and alternative medicine! http://utahtexans.com/ Maybe you have seen potassium chloride in a dietary supplement or food product and wondered what the heck it is and what does it do. In this video I'm going to talk about benefits and dangers of it. So what is potassium chloride, it's basically a salt substitute and it has a ton of uses. It's used as a fertilizer to help grow a garden. It can be used as a medicine to help someone who has a low amount of potassium in the body. Symptoms of low potassium would be thinks like muscle cramps, nausea, diarrhea, urinating a lot, being very thirsty, confusion, being irritably, and changes to heart rhythm. Most famously it is added as a food additive. It's in food such as canned soups, cereals, sauces, sports drinks it is used instead of salt. It has 2 main purposes, and the first one is to reduce the sodium content in food as a replacement for salt. This is good because too much salt causes problems. Adults need less than 1 gram a day and some people estimate that the average person in the U.S. gets over 8 grams a day. This is because it is in so much food as a preservative to keep it from going bad. Reducing your salt intact will reduce high blood pressure. High blood pressure is bad because it's a silent killer that causes heart disease, strokes and other bad things like the kidneys and even the brain. In fact I had a good friend of mine become paralyzed in half of his face due to high blood pressure. He is young and it happened out of the blue. The second reason it is in food is to give potassium to someone. Like I mentioned if someone is suffering from a deficiency then potassium chloride pills might be prescribed. Those are the 2 positives of it so you might be wondering is there any dangers. The biggest danger is really consuming too much of it, which is very hard to do. This could lead to something called hyperkalemia where there is too much potassium in the body. Symptoms are very similar to having low potassium, like weakness, wanting to throw up, chest pains, abnormal heart rhythms and even paralysis depending on how much potassium in your body. If you are wondering how much potassium chloride you would have to take to get too much potassium. Well humans need at least almost 5 grams of potassium a day. Humans get over 8 grams of salt a day. Considering how much salt is in food yea it's nearly impossible to overdose on potassium chloride. Usually hyperkalemia is caused from kidney disease. Also, if for some reason you take too much, you could get an upset stomach, and want to vomit. No surprise there right? Lastly, in it's natural state this substance is a white powder. It can irritate the skin, eyes and nose if inhaled.

Potassium bicarbonate

02:49
Potassium bicarbonate is a colorless, odorless, slightly basic, salty substance. According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, potassium bicarbonate is "generally recognized as safe". There is no evidence of human carcinogenicity, no adverse effects of overexposure, and an undetermined LD50. It is among the food additives encoded by European Union, identified by the initials E 501. Physically, potassium bicarbonate occurs as a crystal or a soft white granular powder. Potassium bicarbonate is very rarely found in its natural form, the mineral called kalicinite. This video is targeted to blind users. 11 Signs Your Body Needs More Magnesium

03:49
Magnesium is a mineral found in many types of foods, it plays an essential role in human DNA production, repair and in maintaining healthy bones, nerves and muscles. Though it is readily available, most Americans do not meet their need for magnesium through their diet. you should consider getting your magnesium level checked if you suffer the following 11 symptoms. 1. Low energy. Magnesium is involved in at least 300 different chemical reactions in our body, and a lot have to do with energy production. A sign of low magnesium can be low energy. 2.Insomnia. If you're having a hard time falling or staying asleep, it may be due to low levels of magnesium, particularly if you are experiencing a lot of stress. Stress hormones increase blood pressure and heart rate, this is partly accomplished by depleting the body of its magnesium If there isn't enough magnesium available for the body to replenish itself, sleeping becomes a problem. 3.Constipation. Bowel movements often slow down without enough magnesium in the body. note that magnesium is the main ingredient in many over-the-counter laxatives. 4.Frequent headaches. Magnesium deficiency lowers serotonin levels, causes blood vessels to constrict and affects neurotransmitter function, all related to headaches -- especially migraines. 50% of migraine sufferers have a magnesium deficiency. 5.Twitching or cramping. Because magnesium plays an important role in muscle relaxation, insufficient intake can result in unintended muscle movement. Without magnesium, our muscles would be in a constant state of contraction 6.Low bone density. Magnesium plays a major role in bone formation, and the majority of the body's magnesium is stored in the bones. People with higher intakes of magnesium have a higher bone mineral density. 7.High blood pressure. Magnesium is very important in maintaining a healthy blood pressure, a deficiency can definitely cause pressure to be too high. Eating foods high in magnesium and other minerals can help prevent high blood pressure in people with prehypertension. 8.Type 2 diabetes. Breaking down blood sugars is another of magnesium's jobs in the human body. People with higher amounts of magnesium in their diets tend to have a lower risk of developing diabetes. Research is ongoing to determine whether magnesium therapy can be used in diabetes treatment. 9.Irregular heartbeat. With low magnesium levels, the heart can have trouble staying in its regular rhythm. doctors will often prescribe magnesium supplements for patients who complain of an irregular heartbeat. 10.Increased sensitivity to noise. Not having enough magnesium curtails its role in stabilizing the nervous system, This often results in hyperflexia, an enhanced startle reflex. And 11. Depression and anxiety. Low levels of magnesium in the brain can affect neurological functions that result in all sorts of problems. Studies have shown that some phobias -- such as agoraphobia -- have developed as a result of low magnesium levels.  Please Subscribe! ▶ https://goo.gl/ksfh7M NOTE: The materials and the information contained on Natural ways channel are provided for general and educational purposes only and do not constitute any legal, medical or other professional advice on any subject matter. POTASSIUM: The MOST Important Electrolyte - MUST WATCH!

Your heart, your fluid, your energy, your nutrients in and out of the cell is dependent on the sodium and potassium pump. However, potassium is the most difficult to get from the diet. High levels of cortisol (stress), insulin, sugar, diuretics, excessive salt, surgery, all can deplete potassium. However, you need between 7-10 cups of salad or veggies to get your daily requirement of 4700mg. Hey guys, Dr. Berg here. I want to do a video on the most important electrolyte. Let me explain what an electrolyte is, if you ever take salt and put it in the water and dissolve it, the sodium and chloride disconnect and they become two separate minerals and that fluid is very electrically conductive. Basically electrolytes have to do with minerals that help conduct electricity in the body. They help with a lot of different things. As far as the electrolytes, it will be like potassium, sodium, magnesium, calcium, chlorides, and all those minerals. Potassium out of all the electrolytes is the one that we need in a very large quantities. Why is that? Why do we need potassium in a large amount? I am talking 4,700 mg to 6,000 mg every single day and that is equivalent to 7 to 10+ cups of salad or vegetables every single day. Let’s go dig further into exactly to why we need potassium. There are something in the body called sodium-potassium pump. It is built in a little protein connected to an enzyme, it forms a whole enzyme in the surface of your cells and you will have between 8,000 to 30million of this little tiny pumps and they are little generators that generate electricity to allow things to go through the cell so it take a lot of energy, in fact the energy of 1/3 of your diet goes to running those pumps. You also have another pump in the stomach called the hydrogen potassium ATPas, it is basically another pump that is built with a potassium that allows you to create stomach acid to help you digest. This pumps are also in the muscles, nervous systems and the pumps in the nervous system used about 60% of your body’s chloric intake of energy. In other words, these pumps are really critically important in exchanging nutrition, glucose, amino acids and other minerals to allow them to transport in other cell. Potassium is essential for building the pumps to allow these functions right here, they charge the cell electrically, so your cells have a certain voltage to allow things to work and go in and out of the cell to create different energy. In fact your energy that you have that controls your metabolism is controlled partly by these little pump. So it charges the cell electrically, it gives you energy. It helps the muscle contracts and relax because it allows calcium to go into the cell as well. It controls the transport of calcium. SUBSCRIBE: https://www.youtube.com/user/DrJohnKiel FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/medicinelifestyle TWITTER: https://twitter.com/LifestyleMedYou I wanted to take a moment to talk about salt and it's effects on your body. Specifically, I wanted to talk about how it can raise your blood pressure. By better understanding the effects of salt on your blood pressure, you may be better able to manage that aspect of your health moving forward. Before I get started, I want to mention that salt has many roles in the human body and I'm going to specifically focus on blood pressure in this lecture. In a nutshell, sodium (or Na+), which I'll just refer to as salt ( NaCl) for now, helps your kidneys retain water. This serves a very essential function to our overall health and well being. The salt circulating in our bloodstream, and in the rest of our body, helps keep our circulatory system filled and allows the heart to do its job of delivering oxygen around the body. It is the job of your kidneys to regulate the amount of salt in your circulatory system. If total salt goes up, your kidneys will filter more out. If total salt goes down, those filters will close and your body will try to retain salt. This affects your blood pressure directly because the water "follows" the salt if you will. It does this through a physical process called osmosis. According to the American Heart Association, we require about 1500 mgs of salt per day. As Americans, we consume about 3,400 mg/day, more than twice what we need. Furthermore, 75% of the salt we consume comes from processed food and restaurant, and less than 25% from what we add ourselves. It's also worth noting that some people are more sensitive to salt intake than others. So if you have no heart or kidney problems, you're most likely able to filter out the excess salt. However, if you have heart or kidney issues, or you are particularly sensitive, then the excess salt can start causing problems and potentially damage some of your organ systems. Salt has several names including sodium, Na, Na+, NaCl, KCl and low sodium. Unsalted, no salt added, sodium free are terms you should look for on a nutrition facts label. Elevated sodium levels are associated with heart disease, heart attack, myocardial infarction, CAD or coronary artery disease, embolisms and blood clots, brain disease, stroke, dementia, vascular disease, atherosclerosis, arteriosclerosis, arteriostenosis, kidney disease, kidney failure, osteoporosis, stomach cancer, kidney stones and headaches. Symptoms of too much salt include dehydration, bloating, puffiness, weight gain, increased thirst, and excessive thirst. There are many ways to lower, decrease salt intake. One example is DASH diet or dietary approaches to stop hypertension (high blood pressure).

Electrolyte Drinks : https://youtu.be/bUALWh_TkSo Don't forget to Subscribe for updates: https://goo.gl/WqO5fo How Your Healthy Body Relies on Electrolytes? Here’s what you need to know – first, you should know that the electrolytes carry electrical charges that are responsible for stimulating muscles and nerves. The electrolytes also regulate the amount of fluids throughout your body, which affects cellular function, blood volume and blood pressure. Electrolytes include: sodium calcium potassium magnesium chloride hydrogen carbonate hydrogen phosphate (a mineral) Note: the medical experts say that these electrolytes are vital for survival and if we dilute them too much, it can lead to death by “water poisoning.” Electrolytes are basically salts. Yes, and you should also know that salts keep your body’s electrically conductive to maintain cell voltage for receiving or passing along information. Regular table salt works fine as long as it contains sodium chloride, which almost all salts are made of. Some also have potassium iodide, which is also excellent for your cocktail. Today is your lucky day, because in this article we are going to show you how to make the most powerful and most effective homemade electrolyte drink. This drink recipe is very simple and easy to make. You just have to follow the simple instructions. Here’s what you need to do: Home-Made Electrolyte Drink Recipe You will need the following ingredients: 1/2 cup fresh orange juice 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice 2 cups of water or raw coconut water 2 tbs. organic raw honey or organic maple syrup 1/8 tsp Himalayan Pink salt or Celtic sea salt Directions: As we said, this homemade electrolyte drink is very simple and easy to make – you just have to mix the ingredients (mentioned above) together until salt and sweet are completely dissolved, and store in the fridge when you’re not enjoying it! Drink during illness, during and after sports, or any other time electrolytes need to be replenished. Health Benefits of Ingredients Sea Salt – first, you should know that salt plays an important role of balancing the stress hormones during exercise. This ingredient reduces adrenaline levels and supports overall metabolic health. Note: you should use Pink Himalayan Salt because it normally has a good amount of trace minerals present. Citrus – did you know that citrus fruits are loaded with electrolytes? Well yes, and lemons have the most of any of them. Rich in vitamin C, citrus fruits also help to maintain the immune system and are great remedies for many cold and flu symptoms. Raw Honey or Maple Syrup – we can easily say that honey is one of the healthiest foods on the planet. The raw honey has natural enzymes and minerals. The easily digestible sugars are great to keep energy high during exercise and honey is also a known natural antibiotic and great at soothing coughs and sore throats. Save the washings. Pour off the excess ethanol, transfer the goo to a plate and set in front of a fan to dry into a crystalline powder. The initial water you pour off the top save so you can use that as your liquid next time to add more potassium hydroxide and bubble CO2 into. The ethanol you can distill to recollect pure ethanol. Very efficient, no waste method!

Eat 1/2 Teaspoon of Baking Soda Daily and THIS Happens to Your Kidneys

04:32
The kidneys are small, only about the size of a fist, but they perform vital functions that play a role in overall health. Each day, the kidneys filter about 120-150 quarts of blood, to produce 1-2 quarts of urine, filtering waste and extra fluid out of the body. The kidneys prevent the buildup of waste in the body, keep electrolyte levels stable, and make hormones that regulate blood pressure, make blood cells, and maintain strong bones. Many factors can lead to kidney damage, including type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, a disease called glomerulonephritis, which damages the kidney’s filtering units, infections, kidney stones, and overuse of some over-the-counter pain killers. Repairing the kidneys after damage just may lie in a common household item: baking soda. How Baking soda it Work? The endocrine system produces hormones and enzymes to help digest food into safer chemicals that the body can process. The pancreas is usually the organ that produces the majority of sodium bicarbonate to protect the kidneys during digestion. Sometimes, the kidneys will produce additional amounts, depending on the type of food you eat. If your diet includes added sugar, fried foods, fatty foods and other unhealthy choices, the endocrine system can become stressed. Both the pancreas and the kidneys will suffer a significant reduction in their ability to produce sodium bicarbonate effectively. Without sufficient production of bicarbonate, the acids produced during digestion cannot be effectively neutralized, causing kidney damage. How to Use Sodium Bicarbonate for Kidney Damage Talk to a health care professional before starting any type of treatment. Sodium bicarbonate is not toxic, but it can be difficult for a sensitive stomach to digest. Proper administration for those in danger of developing kidney disease includes: On the first day, dissolve 1/2 teaspoon baking soda under the tongue. The next day, mix 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda with 1/2 teaspoon of salt into 1.5 liters of water, and drink each day for 2-3 days. Then, reduce your daily dosage to 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda and 1/3 teaspoon of salt. Kidney damage can be caused by living an unhealthy lifestyle, so the best way to protect your kidneys is to maintain a healthy weight and a healthy diet! Potassium bicarbonate superior to potassium chloride

09:36
Hi, this is Larry Hobbs @ FatNews.com. http://fatnews.com/ https://twitter.com/fatnews Potassium bicarbonate reduced my blood pressure by about 20 points from roughly 140/70-something to 121/72 mm Hg. Our Genes Our genes evolved to handle the way we used to eat Our genes evolved to handle the way we used to eat, that is consuming • a lot more potassium • a lot more bicarbonate • a lot less sodium • a lot less chloride Our diet is ‘profoundly mismatched’ to our genes, and it gets worse as we get older Therefore, our diet is “profoundly mismatched” to our genes, and the extent of this mismatch “increases with age”. This is not a joke 😀 Half a lemon dipped in baking soda. It's amazing what you can do | Health 24h

02:48
There are some great properties in doing this and I’ve listed what Eva Fox says below: Alkalizing – The mixture of lemon and sodium bi-carbonate has the property of alkalizing the organism. This helps us, for example, to combat acidosis that can occur when the kidneys are not removing enough acid from the body, or when the body produces too much acid. Digestive – You already know the multiple virtues of lemon to facilitate our digestion. If we add a little bit of baking soda, we will get a wonderful mixture to make our digestive system work much better. It is a good anti-acid, which also fights flatulence. Depurative – A great success start the day with this remedy, as it allows us to purify the liver, and gives us a good dose of Vitamin C, potassium and wonderful antioxidants with which to fulfill our day with the necessary and adequate contribution. A Good Regulator – Drinking water that is rich in sodium bi-carbonate will allow us to regulate the level of bad cholesterol, thus improving our cardiovascular health. Welcome to Good Health Channel. My Theory on Dementia, Blood Pressure & Stroke - Dr. Eric Berg DC

06:36
Take Dr. Berg's Body Type Quiz: http://bit.ly/BodyTypeQuiz Dr. Berg talks about his theory on dementia, blood pressure control and stroke. There are a lot of unknowns about dementia. But there is an interesting associated factor, i.e. the build up of calcium in the arteries of the brain. Also, if the arteries get packed with calcium packing, the arteries get hard and it might be one of the causes for high blood pressure. Stroke is a situation of blocking of vascular blood flow to the brain. Dosages to try: Healthy normal person: Vitamin D3 (10,000 IUs) + Vitamin K2 (MK-7) (100mcg) per day Unhealthy person: Vitamin D3 (30,000 IUs) + Vitamin K2 (MK-7) (300mcg) per day Vitamin D and K2 work together and help to mobilize calcium. You may want to consume both vitamins, in the morning with butter or coconut oil for better absorption (due to being fat soluble). Vitamin D3 is about absorption of calcium and vitamin K2 is about directing where calcium goes - both working together to keep your arteries and soft tissues clean and your bones strong. Unless you have osteoporosis, I would not recommend taking extra calcium. Instead consume some cheese on a daily basis. Most of the calcium in the body is recycled so adding more, is not needed. Never consume calcium carbonate (limestone) as your calcium. If you take calcium and vitamin D without K2, you may be in danger of excess calcium build up - calcification of your vessels. Yet K2 is a powerful inhibitor of calcification of soft tissues. If you need help digesting fats or are missing a gallbladder, I recommend a product called Gallbladder Formula: https://shop.drberg.com/gallbladder-formula-regular CONNECTION BETWEEN CALCIUM AND DEMENTIA (MEMORY PROBLEMS) http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=91891831 http://faculty.sites.uci.edu/kimgreen/bio/calcium-and-alzheimers-disease/ http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1551498/Calcium-linked-to-dementia.html CONNECTION BETWEEN CALCIUM AND HEART ATTACK http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22626900 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2528727/The-test-tell-REALLY-risk-heart-attack-stroke-Calcium-arteries-key-indicator-say-doctors.html http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2012/05/120523200752.htm?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=calcium-supplements-linked-to-significantly-increased-heart-attack-risk-study-suggests CONNECTION BETWEEN CALCIUM AND STROKE http://www.medpagetoday.com/cardiology/strokes/37603 VITAMIN K2 http://wholehealthsource.blogspot.com/2008/11/can-vitamin-k2-reverse-arterial.html http://www.lef.org/magazine/2008/3/Protecting-Bone-And-Arterial-Health-With-Vitamin-K2/Page-01 http://www.newswithviews.com/Howenstine/james59.htm http://www.rejuvenation-science.com/n_vitamin-K2-artery.html http://www.vitamindwiki.com/Vitamin+K2+decreases+arterial+stiffness+%28cleans+arteries%29+%E2%80%93+RCT+Feb+2015 K2 is present in: *grass-fed beef, yogurt, cheese, butter *goose liver *hard cheese and brie *grass-fed egg yolks *Sauerkraut (raw) *grass-fed kefir *Kimchi Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, 50 years of age is a chiropractor who specializes in weight loss through nutritional and natural methods. Potassium, those consuming most were 35% less liikely to die from CHD

02:22
Hi, this is Larry Hobbs @ FatNews.com. http://fatnews.com/ https://twitter.com/fatnews People consuming the most potassium were 35% less liikely to die from coronary heart disease The one-fifth of people consuming the most potassium were 35% less likely to die from coronary heart disease than the one-fifth of people consuming the least. The top one-fifth consumed an average of 3363 mg of potassium per day versus 1720 mg per day for the bottom one-fifth. The one-fifth of people consuming the most sodium versus the one-fifth consuming the least were: 42 percent more likely to have cardiovascular disease 55 percent more likely to have a stroke of any kind 104 percent more likely to have an ischemic stroke (2X as likely). The top one-fifth consumed 6523 mg of sodium per day versus 2322 mg per day for the bottom one-fifth. Subjects: 58,730 Japanese subjects aged 40–79 years The study involved 58,730 Japanese subjects (23,119 men and 35,611 women) aged 40–79 years with no history of stroke, coronary heart disease, or cancer completed a lifestyle questionnaire between 1988 and 1990. Followed for 12.7 years They were followed for an average of 12.7 years. Potassium Superior to ALL Prescription Blood Pressure Medicines I believe potassium (bicarbonate) is superior to all blood pressure drugs This is another reason that I believe that potassium (bicarbonate) is vastly superior to ALL of the drugs used for blood pressure. All of the drugs used for blood pressure interfere with natural processes in the body. Blood Pressure Drugs INCREASED Risk of Dying from Cardiovascular Disease Blood pressure drugs INCREASED the risk of dying from cardiovascular disease in 7 of 8 drug groups A 2004 study (Smoller) found that in older (50-74) “hypertensive” women, where 20,000 were taking BP meds, and 10,000 were taking NO BP meds, even though blood pressure was 10-15 mm Hg lower in those taking BP meds, 7 of the 8 drug groups were MORE likely to die of CV disease. Potassium Bicarbonate I’ve been taking potassium bicarbonate since 2000 I’ve been taking 1000 mg of potassium twice a day (2000 mg per day) in the form of potassium bicarbonate since 2000. My blood pressure dropped from 140/80 to 124/73 mm Hg My blood pressure dropped from roughly 140/80 mm Hg to 124/73 mm Hg (taken recently). Warning: Only take potassium under a doctor’s care WARNING: Only take potassium under a doctor’s supervision. Too much potassium can kill you. Magnesium is necessary to utilize potassium Note: Magnesium is necessary for the body to utilize potassium. And research shows that most American get less than the recommended amount of magnesium. Try Potassium First? Why not try potassium (bicarbonate) first? Potassium content of a few foods You can get extra potassium from many foods. ★★★★ FLUID AND ELECTROLYTE IMBALANCES ★★★★

06:28
Fluid and electrolytes - http://amzn.to/2jGiBiP Electrolytes If you scoop up a cup of water from the ocean, it will look much like the fresh water that comes out of your kitchen faucet. Yet we all know that ocean water contains salt. The salt in ocean water is needed for the different sea creatures to survive. The water in your body, like ocean water, contains salt and other dissolved minerals. The electrically charged minerals found in your body fluids are called electrolytes. When they're out of balance, your health and survival are threatened. In this lesson, you'll learn about fluid and electrolyte imbalance within the body. Electrolyte Disorders There are many electrolytes in your body. Some of the most important are sodium, potassium, calcium, chloride, magnesium, and phosphate. Your body must maintain the most appropriate concentrations of these electrolytes in order for your muscles, brain, nerves and other body processes to function properly. If the concentration of one electrolyte gets too high or too low, we say that it's 'hyper' or 'hypo.' For instance, if calcium levels get too high, it creates a condition called hypercalcemia. If calcium levels get too low, it results in hypocalcemia. Variations in electrolyte levels sometimes go by their Latin names, which can be a bit more to remember. For example, the Latin word 'kal' signifies potassium. So, hyperkalemia is the term used to describe abnormally high concentrations of potassium, and hypokalemia means abnormally low concentrations of potassium. Causes There are different reasons why electrolyte concentrations can become imbalanced. Because electrolytes are dissolved in body fluids, we see that dehydration is a possible cause. When there's less body water, the concentration of an electrolyte increases. For instance, hypernatremia, which is having too much sodium, can result if you don't drink enough water, or you lose excessive amounts of water through vomiting, diarrhea, or severe burns. When you sweat excessively, you lose both water and salt. If you only replenish the lost fluid without actively replenishing the lost electrolytes, you could dilute sodium in the body, leading to hyponatremia, or too little sodium. Many commercial sports drinks promise to replace water and electrolytes. Certain medications can upset your fluid and electrolyte balance. For example, diuretics are drugs that increase the frequency of urination. Diuretics help a person with high blood pressure get rid of retained fluids, but also influence the fluid and electrolyte balance of the body. We also see that kidney problems can cause imbalances. Your kidneys are the organs that filter blood fluids and electrolytes. So, any condition involving the kidneys can throw off the balance of fluid and electrolytes in the body. Other conditions that could result in an imbalance include certain cancers, thyroid disorders, diabetes, eating disorders, alcoholism, and congestive heart failure. Manifestations Fluid and electrolyte imbalances can manifest in a number of different ways. Mild imbalances may produce no symptoms, and only be revealed thanks to a routine blood test. If the imbalance progresses, a person's muscle and nerve function could malfunction. This could lead to symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, pain, or an irregular heartbeat. Because fluid and electrolyte balance is important to brain function, a person with an imbalance might experience a change in mood or confusion. Other symptoms could develop due to an imbalance including nausea, bowel irregularity, abdominal cramps, or seizures kaplan nclex reiew hurst nclex review excel nclex review comprehensive nclex review

Magnesium Citrate Benefits - 3 MASSIVE benefits that you should know!

06:24
Click on the link below for a free video guide to dietary supplements and herbs. http://utahtexans.com/ Today I want to share 3 HUGE reasons why you should not be deficient in the mineral magnesium citrate. The truth is this mineral is the fourth most abundant mineral in the body, and many very smart people in the health industry think it's the most important one. So what does it do? This is a difficult question to answer because it's involved with over 350 biochemical reactions in the body and that is a lot. For example just in the heart, which is kind of important organ it regulates the beat. Israeli researchers game magnesium to half of 194 people suffering from acute heart attacks. The in-hospital death rate of those receiving a magnesium was one-fourth that of those who received standard treatment alone. If you think about that it is huge. But just like those late night infomercials, wait there is more. A massive problem that is facing developed nations is diabetes thanks to all the sugary foods we eat. In a study published in the 2013 issue of the journal “Nutrients” found that the majority of diabetics found that most of them were deficient in this mineral. Those with the highest magnesium in their system reduced their risk for blood sugar problems by 71 percent. Lastly, another huge problem we face is toxins. We are being exposed to more pollutions, toxins and contamination’s than anytime in the past. Magnesium plays a role in your body's detoxification processes. Plus there is this antioxidant that is produced in your body called glutathione. Dr. OZ the famous T.V. doctor says it's the most important one. Well this one mineral is required in order for this antioxidant to be made. I really just touched the tip of the iceberg on this mineral and it does so many other wonderful things. Now you might be wondering how you can tell if your deficient in it. This is a challenge because only 1% of this mineral is in the blood making blood tests notoriously difficult to identify a deficiency. The symptoms are very similar to age related problems like fatigue, memory problems and high blood pressure. You might be thinking about getting it through food. The average American diet contains barely over 50% of the U.S. R.D.A of magnesium according to the Institute of Medicine. Some really smart people think that nearly 70% - 80% of American have a deficiency in this vitamin. One great idea is to take a quality multivitamin. Why Dr. Sebi Did Not Approve Baking Soda?

05:46
Update: When this video was made lemons were on the approved. However, they are no longer on the list. Limes will work just the same. Thank you Gabe Santiago for the update! This video is my personal opinion of why Dr. Sebi did not approve baking soda and the science behind it. I believe it is due to the effects you get from sodium carbonate, which can hinder any positive healing, if heated to high temperatures. I also give you a way to neutralize baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) if you prefer to cook with baking soda. To neutralize baking soda the ratio needs to be 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda to 1 teaspoon of lemon juice. Can You Get Potassium Poisoning From Bananas?

01:53
Is there any truth behind the rumour that eating bananas can give you a potassium overdose? They sure are high in potassium after all.... Bananas are well known for being very high in potassium compared to other foods. This has lead to many people believing that eating too many bananas can lead to potassium poisoning, which some people claim will be fatal! This theory is discussed in this video. Although bananas are high in potassium, it will be very difficult to overdose on potassium from eating bananas. The majority of potassium is predominantly found as potassium citrate in bananas, and the average banana will contain about 1105mg of potassium citrate. This is relatively non-toxic, in fact, the fatal dosage is over 2000mg per kilogram of body weight, which is quite high. If we assume our metabolism of potassium citrate is similar to a rat, we can say that the fatal dosage for a human would be around 7200mg per kilogram of body weight - which is just over 45 bananas... This doesn't take into account the rate of consumption, absorption or digestion either... So the 8+ bananas = death is a myth, which has probably originated from the fatal dosage of potassium citrate when injected into the body. Injecting potassium citrate is very different to getting it from food, but the amount needed to kill a human when injected is equivalent of about 10 bananas.
