Out first cigarette was a Newport with some friends and we were all getting light headed. I started smoking my mom's cigarette butts at home but they were light and I switched to full flavor. I did not like menthol. I always smoked unless I was in a spot I could not smoke then I would immediately smoke when I could again. I was not able to stop smoking cigarettes under my own free will for 15 years. My homeboy Jbfrom503 and Mikey Dubbs came through and inspired me to quit. A few days later I had my plan. I got extra weed and every time I had a craving I would smoke weed! Here we are over 3 years later with no cigarettes! Time to celebrate!!! Let's face it; smoking is bad. Besides impacting your health, the habit takes its toll on your appearance, clothes and of course, your wallet! As a new ex-smoker, I can say for sure that smoking affects your body in more ways than one, but the good news is, it's never too late to quit. Of course, after many years of smoking, I decided to take the big step towards cessation. Although it hasn't been easy, I can say that I've been seeing the fruits of my labor — it's really amazing! So far so good, I've stayed away from cigarettes for one month — of course, I started experiencing the incredible health benefits right from day one up until this moment. In this video, I'm going to let you in on how my health changed during the first month of giving up on the habit. And of course, I hope it motivates you to quit smoking once and for all! Here's What Happened After I Stopped Smoking For One Month For starters, you're likely to experience the amazing benefits of quitting in as little 20 minutes — that's just how fast your body heals! Fast forward to one month, I started noticing great improvements in my respiratory health. Yes, I always experienced nasty coughs and shortness of breath in the past. Even cases of sinus pain and congestion was a norm. But the good news is, I've been recovering from these symptoms ever since I quit — one month down the road, I know for sure that I feel better now. Essentially, the moment you stop inhaling cigarette smoke, cilia in the lungs comes back to life. In essence, the delicate lung tissues begin to regrow and function like they ought to. For the most part, cilia help to move particulates (in this case, toxins from cigarette smoke) we breathe in back out of the lungs. But unfortunately, smoking causes them to be clogged with tar. Of course, as mentioned earlier, the delicate lung tissues begin to function again after quitting smoking. And for those who might not know, shortness of breath is a smoker's disease that impairs your ability to breathe. It actually took a toll on me back then, but I see amazing improvements today — just one month after quitting, I now breathe freely and easily. That's not all — I also found it easy to perform a range of cardiovascular activities including running and jumping. What's more, my dull sense of smell also improved — it was really amazing to smell subtle scents that have evaded me for years. In addition to the health benefits, I also found that my confidence began to grow as time went by. Of course, this new sense of empowerment has the potential to bring new positive relationships that can change other areas of your life. All in all, the journey hasn't been easy, but I can boldly say the change is totally worth it! It's all about settling in and allowing the smoke-free days pile up. Currently I'm on day 5 of no smoking after 4 years of addiction. Rule 1. You need to break away from your environment, that's one of the biggest fights. In the video i suggest disbanding from friends, temporarily. B But breaking away from your environment means so much more, what are your triggers ? You have to break away from your triggers/environment, for me it was friends, so that's why i recommend temporarily going solo. Rule 2. You need proper sleep. It's a complete bitch to sleep when you're quitting weed. Your brain doesn't produce the chemicals to put you to sleep. If you'll take Melatonin, it will re-create that 1 chemical to help you sleep but it's natural and non addictive. Use it temporarily, the first week is the hardest to sleep. Rule 3. NUTRITION. You must eat, but it's not fun and all food tastes like shit, your body will hate eating and will refuse food. (feeling like throwing up) With weight gainer, i can easily drink down 400-600 calories from weight gainer and not need to eat. You need the calories to stay focused, you can't fight your hardest battle without being well prepared, so nutrition is extremely important. You must eat, if eating is too difficult, you can resort to drinking your meals, like i've been doing. The weight gainer has been my solution to stay well fed and keep focused, without being forced to eat, plus there's no more feelings of throwing up BECAUSE I'M NOT EATING! If you try to quit, these 3 rules will help you so much, but if you're not even at the stage of quitting, then you need to start preparing for when you do quit. Destroy all your paraphernalia, cut your money source and fight because you can't keep going how you have been, it's time for a change.

Prophet said that, you know, don't come to the mosque after having garlic or onion because there's bad breath. When you are smoking, the breath is worse than onion or garlic. So based on this Hadith, therefore, garlic and onion doesn't become haraam (forbidden), it becomes makhrooh (disliked), so based on this Hadith, scholars give the fatwa (Islamic ruling) that smoking is makhrooh (disliked). But now, after science has advanced, we have come to know that smoking is nothing but it's a slow poisoning. Tobacco in any form, whether in smoking cigarettes, whether bedi, whether tobacco in hokkah, whether chewing tobacco, all forms of tobacco contain nicotine and tar, and we know its nothing but slow poisoning. That's the reason most of the non-Muslims also, they agree that smoking is haraam. Not only the Muslim world, even the non-Muslims. That's the reason they put a statutory warning on the cigarette packs, they put a statutory warning saying, 'Cigarette smoking is injurious to health' or in some countries it mention, 'General surgeon's warning' or 'Surgeon general's warning: Smoking is injurious to health.' And anyone gives a add, whether in newspaper or in the magazine or television, it is compulsory that they have to highlight this statement, 'Smoking is injurious to health.' So I am not talking about the Muslim world, even the non-Muslim world agrees that smoking is nothing but slow poisoning. And...today according to the statistics, the world health organization says that every year more than 4 million people die only because of smoking and if you count the other forms of tobacco it will be much more. And, today medical science tells us, and even I had learnt when I was doing my medicine in the medical college, that more than 90% of the lung cancer deaths are only due to smoking, whether cigarette or bedi, whatever it is. 25% of the cardio-vascular deaths are only because of the smoking. 70-75% of bronchitis and related deaths are only because of smoking. Smoking is nothing but slow poisoning. It blackens your lips, blackens your gums, your fingertips, it damages your lips, it damages your esophagus, it damages your stomach and it can cause constipation, it can cause loss of appetite, it can cause loss of libido, the sexual power gets suppressed, it can cause immunity to the drugs (medicines) you take and it reduces the defense of your body. There are today, more than 400 fatwa's, that majority of the scholars, they agree that smoking is haraam, and all form of tobacco is haraam.
