High blood pressure, also known as hypertension, is a serious health problem that can lead to heart attacks, strokes and kidney failure. A blood pressure reading of 140/90 mm Hg or above is considered high. Hypertension usually is diagnosed when a person has a sustained high reading over a certain period of time Common causes or contributing factors of hypertension are obesity, genetic factors, excessive drinking, high salt intake, lack of aerobic exercise, stress, birth control pills, pain relievers, kidney disease, and adrenal disease. Medication is often prescribed for hypertension. You can also help control it with simple natural remedies.

How heart rate is controlled by the parasympathetic and sympathetic divisions of the autonomic nervous system, with overview of baroreceptor resetting. Baroreflex is a rapid negative feedback loop in which an elevated blood pressure causes heart rate and blood pressure to decrease. Reversely, a decrease in blood pressure leads to an increased heart rate, returning blood pressure to normal levels. The reflex starts with specialized neurons called baroreceptors. These are stretch receptors located in the wall of the aortic arch and carotid sinus. Increased blood pressure stretches the wall of the aorta and carotid arteries causing baroreceptors to fire action potentials at a higher than normal rate. These increased activities are sent via the vagus and glossopharyngeal nerves to the nucleus of the tractus solitarius – the NTS - in the brainstem. In response to increased baroreceptor impulses, the NTS activates the parasympathetic system – the PSNS - and inhibits the sympathetic system – the SNS. As the PSNS and SNS have opposing effects on blood pressures, PSNS activation and SNS inhibition work together in the same direction to maximize blood pressure reduction. Parasympathetic stimulation decreases heart rate by releasing acetylcholine which acts on the pacemaker cells of the SA node. Inhibition of the sympathetic division decreases heart rate, stroke volume and at the same time causes vasodilation of blood vessels. Together, these events rapidly bring DOWN blood pressure levels back to normal. When a person has a sudden drop in blood pressure, for example when standing up, the decreased blood pressure is sensed by baroreceptors as a decrease in tension. Baroreceptors fire at a lower than normal rate and the information is again transmitted to the NTS. The NTS reacts by inhibiting parasympathetic and activating sympathetic activities. The sympathetic system releases norepinephrine which acts on the SA node to increase heart rate; on cardiac myocytes to increase stroke volume and on smooth muscle cells of blood vessels to cause vasoconstriction. Together, these events rapidly bring UP blood pressure levels back to normal. Baroreflex is a short-term response to sudden changes of blood pressure resulted from everyday activities and emotional states. If hypertension or hypotension persists for a long period of time, the baroreceptors will reset to the “new normal” levels. In hypertensive patients for example, baroreflex mechanism is adjusted to a higher “normal” pressure and therefore MAINTAINS hypertension rather than suppresses it. Learning how to lower blood pressure quickly and naturally comes very handy, especially in times when medicines are hardly accessible. (Important : I don't own the background music) High blood pressure or hypertension is one of the most common diseases among adults. Studies show that out of every three adults around the world there is one who suffers from high blood pressure. High blood pressure should not be underestimated; it is a highly dangerous condition, with complications that may lead to death if not controlled, as it is closely linked to cardiovascular diseases, kidney failure, and diabetes and retina damage. If you are suffering from high blood pressure, these factors can increase your blood pressure: 1. Salt intake rates (more than 6 grams per day), sodium in salt causes high blood pressure. 2. Drinking Too Much Caffeine 3. Obesity can hinder the capacity of the heart to pump blood to the organs, which increases the blood pressure. 4. Lack of exercise, especially aerobic exercises such as walking, swimming, and cycling. 5. Anxiety and stress 6. Smoking. 7. high-fat diet, especially saturated fat, eating fast food Garlic may be the best treatment for high blood pressure, according to studies, garlic help to reduce blood pressure, cholesterol, and strengthen the heart. How To Lower Blood pressure quickly and naturally using garlic Eat 2 to 3 cloves of garlic throughout the day You don't have to eat them all at once. You can simply add the garlic to the foods you eat throughout the day to get up to 2 to 3 cloves you need to treat high blood pressure. Tips and warnings Be sure to brush your teeth in the morning and after every meal to get rid of garlic smell. You can also chew parsley leaves and ingested them to eliminate the smell. How to lower blood pressure immediately using Garlic tea How to prepare garlic tea 1. Peel and smash three cloves of fresh garlic 2. Wait for 10 minutes to allow the garlic to release allicin (garlic’s active compound) 3. Bring 8 ounces of water (0.25 liters) to boil and pour over the garlic cloves 4. Optional: add lemon juice or honey for the taste Consume at least once a day Here some tips on how to lower blood pressure quickly and naturally 1. Eat bananas to reduce blood pressure Studies suggest that eating potassium-rich foods is helpful in lowering blood pressure. Banana is rich in potassium, poor in sodium making it ideal for the treatment of hypertension. The following fruits and vegetables are also rich in potassium and effective in regulating blood pressure: Dried apricots, raisins, orange juice, spinach, sweet potatoes, squash, Zucchini. 2. Drink Lemon juice to bring down your blood pressure level Eating lemons regularly softens your blood vessels, which reduces high blood pressure. For better results: Add two tablespoons of lemon juice to a glass of hot water; drink it on an empty stomach. Try a lemon juice several times during the day Honey For those who suffer from high blood pressure, take 1-2 teaspoons daily, preferably on an empty stomach. You can also mix one teaspoon of honey with one teaspoon of ginger juice and two tablespoons of powdered cumin seeds to lower high blood pressure As Stated above High Blood pressure is a serious health condition if left untreated it can lead to serious complication thus the importance to learn how to lower blood pressure quickly and naturally. If in the US use this link http://goo.gl/mDMfj5 If in the UK use this link http://goo.gl/j0htQ5 One of the proteins present in the blood is called angiotensinogen. This is a short protein produced by the liver and is inactive; it just circulates in the blood. However, when renin acts on angiotensinogen it converts it into another shorter protein called angiotensin I. As angiotensin I passes through the lungs it is converted into angiotensin II by an enzyme called angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE). Angiotensin II is a powerful vascular vasoconstrictor; this will increase peripheral resistance which will in turn increase blood pressure. In addition to increasing BP by direct vasoconstriction angiotensin II also stimulates the secretion of aldosterone from the adrenal cortex. This will increasethe amount of sodium reabsorbed from the renal tubules and so increase levels of sodium in the blood. As mentioned, increased levels of sodium increases the osmotic potential of the blood and so it attracts more water. This means more water is retained in the plasma increasing blood volumes. These increased volumes will increase venous return and so blood pressure. Conversely, lower amounts of angiotensin II will reduce aldosterone secretion leading to more sodium excretion. This will lower sodium levels in the blood leading to lowered blood volumes and so lower BP. If the systemic blood pressure is increased the pressure in the afferent arteriole will also be increased. This will be detected by the JGA cells which will respond by reducing renin secretion. When less renin is present in the blood, more angeotensionogen will remain in inactive form. This renin-angiotensin-aldosterone mechanism allows the kidneys to regulate their own blood flow to an extent. When an organ regulates itself in this way it is called autoregulation. If for any reason the kidneys over-secrete renin blood pressure will be raised. An abnormally high BP is termed hypertension. Renin excess probably explains most cases of chronic hypertension. You may have come across ACE inhibiting drugs; these inhibit ACE (angiotensin converting enzyme) and so inhibit the conversion of angiotensin I into angiotensin II. If there is less angiotensin II there will be less vasoconstriction and less secretion of aldosterone and so blood pressure will be lowered.

Why Increased Blood Pressure Makes Us Angry? There is one organ which causes high blood pressure (and it's not what you think!) and there are specific exercises you can use to target and fix your blood pressure easily. No diet, lifestyle changes or medication required: http://hibloodpressure.stream/ Answers from: Daniel Nowaj Majumder Liang-Hai Sie Saumyakanta Sahoo Your question has it backwards . We don't get angry when our blood pressure increases , rather , a high blood pressure is often because we are angry . Our body has several ways to regulate our blood pressure within narrow physiological limits. One of these ingenious ways is the cortico-hypothalamic descending pathway . A slight overview of the brain to understand the pathway -Here we see the Limbic system , the part of the brain that controls our primal instincts and emotions like anger , fear and pleasure. The red lines run from the cortex , through the limbic system and hypothalamus to the medulla , the main centre of blood pressure control. Now the medulla of the brain , is the centre of blood pressure regulation through the two collection of cells called 'Vasomotor Centre(VMC)' and 'Cardiac Vagal Centre(CVC)' , which generally increase or decrease the BP resepectively . Now when we get angry , the limbic system , which as seen from the first image , is the subcortical ring (limbus means ring ) around the hypothalamus , gets stimulated . This stimulation sends electrical messages down this pathway to the medulla and gets the VMC kicking in . This results in an increased force of contraction of the heart and an increased blood pressure. The same principle works for similar emotions like fear and pleasure . However , there are other emotions that affect this pathway in the opposite manner. For example , grief results in lowering of BP . As to why our emotions came to influence our blood pressure , from an evolutionary perspective , this is just a manifestation of our 'Fight or Flight' instinct . Before we had civilization and security , the most common situations when our ancestors were angry or scared was when they were being chased by predators , a lion , say , and needed the full strength of their muscles and hence a rapidly contracting heart , pumping their muscles with blood to provide the extra edge to make their getaway or survive the fight . And their pleasurable moments required them to have 'stamina' so as to be able to properly propagate the next generation of humans. Hence , this wonderful system of blood pressure control. How I Lowered My Dad’s Blood Pressure by 23% In Just A Few days - NO Drugs or Diets: 👉 http://drsam.co/yt/LowerMyBP Or you can watch this video: http://drsam.co/yt/WorstFoodForBP Refferences: 1. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15158307 2. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10799367 3. https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/results?term=pomegranate ======================================= 💖 One Of The Most Powerful Fruits For Lowering Blood Pressure Pomegranate ======================================= One of my favorite heart-health fruits is Pomegranate. It’s not very popular in America, but it’s widely used in the Middle East, Asia and the Mediterranean. Which incidentally, all 3 regions are known for having lower heart disease and blood pressure. This amazing fruit not only tastes good, but has a multitude of health benefits that can help you lower your blood pressure and ensure the health of your heart and arteries. (2) Helps regulate blood pressure. Powerful Antioxidant effect. Helps clear artery blockages. Lowers "bad" LDL cholesterol. Can help with various healthy conditions (erectile dysfunction, prostate cancer, kidney disease and more). How It Works A compound found only in pomegranates is called punicalagin (pu-nee-kal-ah-gin). It has been shown to offer benefits for the heart and blood vessels. Punicalagin is responsible for pomegranate's antioxidant and health benefits. (3) It not only lowers blood pressure and increases the speed at which heart blockages caused by atherosclerosis are removed, it also lowers bad cholesterol. Studies have been done on patients with severe carotid (ker-ah-tid) artery blockages. They were given an ounce of pomegranate juice each day for a year. Amazingly, the patient's blood pressure lowered by 12%, and there was a 30% reduction in atherosclerotic plaque, meaning the arteries were cleared (1). More studies have shown that potent antioxidant compounds found in pomegranates reduce platelet aggregation and naturally lower blood pressure, factors that prevent both heart attacks and strokes (2). Side-Effects & Warnings As far as negative side-effects, there aren’t any. However, drinking fruit juice - whether it’s from an orange or pomegranate - isn’t a good idea because of a few factors. Sugar increases blood pressure and fruit sugar, fructose is the worst. Fruit juice, including pomegranate, has a high glycemic index and thus, it spikes up your blood sugar and insulin levels. This in turn can increase stomach fat, diabetes and yes, blood pressure levels. Eating the actual fruit is best, including the seeds. It has additional fiber, healthy fats and many other benefits. However, this is a messy fruit and 95% of people will not eat it and pick apart all the little pomegranate seeds. Ideally, you would take Pomegranate Fruit Extract, at a 5:1 ratio at 200 mgs daily. That’s the clinically proven extract and dosage for improving your blood pressure levels.3 How To Get Much Better & Safer Results One thing to remember is you never want to use only ONE ingredient to achieve a health goal. This is because your body will quickly adapt and the ingredient will stop working. This means you’ll need to use a higher and higher dosage -- which will eventually lead to negative side-effects. Of course, this makes sense because you don’t only eat ONE type of vegetable (broccoli) all the time for total health, right?... Additionally, whatever is causing the health problem - in this case, “high blood pressure”, is NEVER from only ONE cause -- it’s usually multiple reasons. And that's why you want to “attack” the problem using multiple mechanisms. Research has shown that Pomegranate extract works much better, when utilized with other complementary ingredients, for dramatically improved blood pressure and total heart-health. Clinically proven ingredients to use with Pomegranate extract is: Magnesium “blend” (glycinate, malate, citrate, etc.) English Hawthorn Berry Extracts (standardized to 3.2% vitexin-2-rhamnosides and 2% flavonoids) Grape Seed Extract (MegaNatural®-BP 85% Total Phenolics) Celery Seed Extract (85% 3nB; 42.5% phthalides) Lycopene Extract (5%) L-Arginine (L-Arginine-Alpha-Ketoglutarate) The special synergy between these correct “stack of ingredients”, creates a much safer and more effective solution. ======================================== Thank you for watching. The practice of Aakash mudra, Vaayan mudra, Apaan-Vayu mudra and Pran mudra are useful to control high blood pressure, how to do it, duration and precautions. To know more visit http://www.completenaturecure.com/four-simple-mudras-controls-high-blood-pressure/ Four simple mudras for high blood pressure High blood pressure or hypertension is one of the most dangerous health disorder. This disease is a result of our modern lifestyle. The fast pace of life and the urban environments give rise to psychological tensions. Mental worries and stress increase the adrenaline in the bloodstream, and this results in a pressure of the blood to rise. You can go ahead and check my other post on remedies for high blood pressure High blood pressure or Hypertension Hypertension (known in Ayurveda as Rakta Gata Vata) is arterial hypertension in the arteries. The increase in blood pressure depends on age, gender, physical and mental activity, family history and diet. The normal blood pressure of a healthy adult is 120 mmHg systolic and 80 mmHg diastolic. Causes of high blood pressure Unhealthy diet and lack of exercise are the leading causes of hypertension today. Most foods we eat, fast food or items packed with preservatives and chemicals cause digestive problems in the body. Damaged digestion leads to the accumulation of ama (toxins), leading to hypertension. The food we eat is digested by our digestive fire (Jatharagni) to produce nutritious plasma. This plasma nourishes all other dhatus (body tissues) and helps produce healthy blood that circulates through multiple channels (srotas) in the body. However, as digestion worsens, the nutritive plasma stops producing digestive impurities or cravings. This mistress mingles with the plasma and turns it into sama (combined with ama) or massive. As a result, the blood thus produced becomes so heavy or sticky. This heavy blood (laden with impurities) flows through multiple channels and toxins begin to accumulate in the weakest channels of the body. When they gather in the heart tubes, these toxins cause the narrowing of the channels. Therefore, the blood must exert more pressure to flow through these channels, resulting in the condition of hypertension. Stress, anxiety and negative mental feelings also cause a rise in blood pressure. Other causes include the history of blood pressure in the family, obesity, physical inactivity, eating a high-fat and low-fiber diet, over-consumption of tea, coffee, and refined foods, etc. SYMPTOMS Neck pain (occipital headache) palpitations Dizziness or dizziness fatigue Ayurveda approach towards High blood pressure The Ayurvedic treatment line for hypertension aims to identify the cause of the disease and then administer herbs that can eradicate the root problem. To achieve this, digestion must be improved, and the digestive fire strengthened. Second, the toxins that have already accumulated in the channels of the heart must be eliminated. Finally, mental relaxation techniques, including meditation, yoga, and pranayama, are recommended to ensure that the mind remains calm and stable. Diet and lifestyle tips Avoid meat, eggs, table salt, cucumbers, tea, and coffee. Avoid smoking because it increases your heart rate. Increase the use of garlic, lemon, parsley, Indian gooseberry (Amla), watermelon, grapefruit, skim milk and cottage cheese. Regular exercise is the best ways to lower blood pressure; Fast walking, jogging, swimming, and athletics are good options. Laughter is the best solution because it relieves the stress and anxiety that is the primary cause of high blood pressure in today’s lifestyle.

http://bpgolow.com/Virginia-Sturm-30-Ways-Naturally-Lower-BP How to Lower Blood Pressure Fast with feet soaking, breathing and meditation. That's what this video is all about. They say high BP is a silent killer. But you can feel it when your BP is dangerously high. It's an unpleasant feeling. That something isn't quite right. That something is seriously off. Perhaps a slight headache, or a ringing in your ears? And you're mentally foggier, perhaps more anxious. You're breathing probably gets heavier. So it's not quite silent. It whispers to you. This feeling doesn't happen too often, but when it does, I pull out all the stops to bring my BP down. Feet soaking worked for me a few months ago. But one YouTube subscriber commented he tried it, and it failed. And it failed for me too when I tried it just recently. Use a larger volume of water to hold the temperature warm! That was my takeaway lesson. Also, focusing on the breath helps tremendously. Slow the breathing down and extend the outbreath. The outbreath is the vehicle for calming you down. I made this video so you have an option in knowing how to lower blood pressure fast and naturally.

Yoga asana offers several postures that help cleanse, stimulate, aid, and encourage good digestive function. If left untreated, hypertension can lead to the thickening of arterial walls causing its lumen, or blood passage way, to narrow in diameter. As a result, the heart must work harder to pump blood through the narrowed arterial openings. In addition, people with hypertension may be more susceptible to stroke. High blood pressure dangers: Hypertension's effects on your body High blood pressure is a risk factor for more than heart disease. Discover what complications high blood pressure can cause. High blood pressure (hypertension) can quietly damage your body for years before symptoms develop. Left uncontrolled, you may wind up with a disability, a poor quality of life or even a fatal heart attack. Fortunately, with treatment and lifestyle changes, you can control your high blood pressure to reduce your risk of life-threatening complications. Here's a look at the complications high blood pressure can cause when it's not effectively controlled. Damage to your arteries Healthy arteries are flexible, strong and elastic. Their inner lining is smooth so that blood flows freely, supplying vital organs and tissues with adequate nutrients and oxygen. If you have high blood pressure, the increased pressure of blood flowing through your arteries gradually can cause a variety of problems, including: Artery damage and narrowing. High blood pressure can damage the cells of your arteries' inner lining. That launches a cascade of events that make artery walls thick and stiff, a disease called arteriosclerosis (ahr-teer-e-o-skluh-ROE-sis), or hardening of the arteries. Fats from your diet enter your bloodstream, pass through the damaged cells and collect to start atherosclerosis (ath-ur-o-skluh-ROE-sis). These changes can affect arteries throughout your body, blocking blood flow to your heart, kidneys, brain, arms and legs. The damage can cause many problems, including chest pain (angina), heart attack, heart failure, kidney failure, stroke, blocked arteries in your legs or arms (peripheral artery disease), eye damage, and aneurysms. Aneurysm. Over time, the constant pressure of blood moving through a weakened artery can cause a section of its wall to enlarge and form a bulge (aneurysm). An aneurysm (AN-yoo-riz-um) can potentially rupture and cause life-threatening internal bleeding. Aneurysms can form in any artery throughout your body, but they're most common in the aorta, your body's largest artery. Damage to your heart Your heart pumps blood to your entire body. Uncontrolled high blood pressure can damage your heart in a number of ways, such as: Coronary artery disease. Coronary artery disease affects the arteries that supply blood to your heart muscle. Arteries narrowed by coronary artery disease don't allow blood to flow freely through your arteries. When blood can't flow freely to your heart, you can experience chest pain, a heart attack or irregular heart rhythms (arrhythmias). Enlarged left heart. High blood pressure forces your heart to work harder than necessary in order to pump blood to the rest of your body. This causes the left ventricle to thicken or stiffen (left ventricular hypertrophy). These changes limit the ventricle's ability to pump blood to your body. This condition increases your risk of heart attack, heart failure and sudden cardiac death. Heart failure. Over time, the strain on your heart caused by high blood pressure can cause your heart muscle to weaken and work less efficiently. Eventually, your overwhelmed heart simply begins to wear out and fail. Damage from heart attacks adds to this problem. Damage to your brain Just like your heart, your brain depends on a nourishing blood supply to work properly and survive. But high blood pressure can cause several problems, including: Transient ischemic attack (TIA). Sometimes called a ministroke, a transient ischemic (is-KEE-mik) attack is a brief, temporary disruption of blood supply to your brain. It's often caused by atherosclerosis or a blood clot — both of which can arise from high blood pressure. A transient ischemic attack is often a warning that you're at risk of a full-blown stroke. Stroke. A stroke occurs when part of your brain is deprived of oxygen and nutrients, causing brain cells to die. Uncontrolled high blood pressure can lead to stroke by damaging and weakening your brain's blood vessels, causing them to narrow, rupture or leak. High blood pressure can also cause blood clots to form in the arteries leading to your brain, blocking blood flow and potentially causing a stroke.

Plus, high blood pressure causes fatigue, hair loss, impotence, memory problems, inflammation and lots of other ailments that negatively affect the quality of your life. And personally speaking, this is very important for me because I have a family history of high blood pressure. The shocking statistics reveal that 33% of Americans over the age of 20 have high blood pressure.1 And 90% have hypertension by age 65.1,2 And worst of all, 72% of people don’t even know they have high blood pressure.2 And the bigger problem is that high blood pressure has no warning signs or symptoms. People think high blood pressure causes headaches or dizziness, but these are rare. So What’s The Solution? Okay, so now we know just how bad it is – so, what are the solutions? In a previous video I’ve covered all the various drug options and how they all have negative side-effects. They’re okay to short term to quickly lower extremely high blood pressure. However, it’s not a long-term solution by any means. Lifestyle improvements – Better diet, more exercise, stress management and losing weight are all very important – simply for a healthier life. And I’ve covered this topic in a previous video as well. Unfortunately, for many people – lifestyle improvements take a lot of effort, time and money. Additionally, the resulting lower blood pressure isn’t very big. So people are left disappointed and frustrated. A Faster, Easier Solution And this is where supplements come in. The correct herbal extracts, vitamins and minerals, can dramatically improve your blood pressure quickly and naturally, in a short amount of time … with the least amount of effort. And because of this, people are able to lower their blood pressure and KEEP it at a healthy level daily, month after month… year after year. So in doing the research for myself and my family, I discovered 10 natural ingredients that are clinically proven to lower blood pressure: Let’s first start with the top 5 clinically proven herbal extracts. Grape Seed Extract English Hawthorn Berry Extract Celery Seed Extract Pomegranate Extract Lycopene Extract Let’s not forget our vitamins and minerals. The top 5 most important ones are: Magnesium blend - There are many forms of magnesium and each has a different function, bioavailability and absorption factor. Potassium is very important because it balances sodium, which causes water retention and higher blood pressure levels. It’s a natural diuretic. Vitamin D3, B6 and C work together to improve stress hormones such as cortisol and aldosterone levels, both causing hypertension. And finally, one of my favorite amino acids, L-Arginine. ======================================== Thank you for watching. Please feel free to comment, like or share with your friends.
