Naproxen is used to treat pain or inflammation caused by conditions such as arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, tendinitis, bursitis, gout, or menstrual cramps. The delayed-release or extended-release tablets are slower-acting forms of naproxen that are used only for treating chronic conditions such as arthritis or ankylosing spondylitis. These forms will not work fast enough to treat acute pain. You should not use naproxen if you have a history of allergic reaction to aspirin or other NSAID (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug). Naproxen can increase your risk of fatal heart attack or stroke, especially if you use it long term or take high doses, or if you have heart disease. Even people without heart disease or risk factors could have a stroke or heart attack while taking this medicine. Get emergency medical help if you have chest pain, weakness, shortness of breath, slurred speech, or problems with vision or balance. Naproxen may also cause stomach or intestinal bleeding, which can be fatal. These conditions can occur without warning while you are using this medicine, especially in older adults.

Naprosyn Tablet Uses Composition Side Effect Precaution How to use & Review Medical uses 250 mg tablet of naproxen Naproxen's medical uses are related to its mechanism of action as an anti-inflammatory compound. Naproxen is used to treat a variety of inflammatory conditions and symptoms that are due to excessive inflammation, such as pain and fever (naproxen has fever-reducing, or antipyretic, properties in addition to its anti-inflammatory activity). Notably, not all medications that reduce fever are anti-inflammatory compounds (such as paracetamol). Inflammatory sources of pain that may respond to naproxen's anti-inflammatory activity are conditions such as migraine, osteoarthritis, kidney stones, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, gout, ankylosing spondylitis, menstrual cramps, tendinitis and bursitis It is also used to treat primary dysmenorrhea. Small amounts of naproxen are excreted in breast milk. However, adverse effects are uncommon in infants breastfed from mother taking naproxen. Naproxen has been used to differentiate between infectious fevers and neoplastic or connective tissue disease-related fevers Although the literature is inconclusive, it is thought that naproxen may help differentiate between infectious fevers and neoplastic fevers by its efficacy in reducing them; in some studies, naproxen reduced neoplastic fevers far better than it reduced infectious fevers. This information could potentially be used to identify the etiology of the patient's fever, which can be complex in cancer patients (whom are often at heightened risk for infection in the first place). Drug-drug interactions Naproxen should not be taken with antidepressants, lithium, methotrexate, probenecid, a blood thinner, heart or blood pressure medications, including diuretics or steroid medicine (such as prednisone). NSAIDs such as naproxen may interfere with and reduce the efficacy of SSRI antidepressants, as well as increase the risk of bleeding greater than the individual bleeding risk of either class of agent when taken together. Naproxen is not contraindicated in the presence of SSRIs, though concomitant use of the medications should be done with caution. Alcohol consumption increases the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding when combined with NSAIDs like naproxen in a dose-dependent manner (that is, the higher the dose of naproxen, the higher the risk of bleeding). The risk is highest for people who are heavy drinkers

I had a patient come see me in my office a few days ago. He had been taking 2400 mg of ibuprofen every day for months to try to get over an ankle injury. That amount of medication might be high for most of us, but we often use these medicines to try to decrease pain and swelling after an injury. When can taking these medications actually be harmful? And what should we do instead? Since we can buy medications like ibuprofen or naproxen over the counter, we might assume that they’re completely safe. Generally athletic people don’t have problems taking them occasionally for minor injuries, but they should take some simple precautions. In this video, I explain some of the side effects these medications can have, what medical problems can make these medications dangerous and much more. looking http://bit.ly/2ozb0aJ Lupus is one of the most debilitating and discouraging conditions anyone can have. Waking up day after day with joint sores, knowing you are stricken with Lupus that may gradually drag you, a healthy young person, towards chronic illness like rheumatoid arthritis. Suddenly you no longer expect to enjoy many of life’s greatest experiences. You probably don’t remember that day, the day you had your first joint pain and chose to ignore it thinking it would just go away. But later on, more joints started to feel sore and swelling and a rash began to appear. You felt fatigued and knew things were starting to get out of control. Then the day came when you heard your doctor speak the word “Lupus.” You may have felt sadness, desperation, even panic… knowing full well your life would never be the same again. That time can be almost as difficult for your family and close friends as it is for you. I know, you suffer month after month and find you are losing hope of ever getting better. That’s a very sad place for anyone to be. I know. I’ve been seeing patients for over 40 years. My name is Dr. Gary M. Levin and I’m a retired M.D. and Surgeon in the U.S. For more than forty years, I took great pride in running my own clinic, as well as teaching and supervising resident doctors at a facility at Loma Linda Univ School of Medicine. I completely understand how incredibly scary, painful and discouraging Lupus symptoms are for millions of people just like you. I have felt the pain of so many patients and their families. You take medications that may reduce asymptomatic acute attacks but they just don’t work when it comes to fully treating your Lupus condition. It’s like your body is fighting an all-out war with a dangerous intruder that doesn’t exist. Your doctor may be putting on a brave face, but the truth is many physicians are just as frustrated as you are. They try every known cure, treatment and medically accepted idea — yet NOTHING really works because the real symptoms of Lupus are not treated! How Dr. Gary M. Levin, M.D. Discovered a Natural EFFECTIVE Treatment for Lupus In 1998, I had a heart ailment which required surgical intervention. While recovering in cardiac rehabilitation, I had the unexpected opportunity to work with a colleague who practiced allopathic and alternative medicine. I was very impressed with what I saw. Having been trained in the sciences, I decided to dive deep into this approach, serve a two-year preceptorship and actually test natural remedies and alternative treatments for diseases. It was here that I discovered powerful breakthroughs that would have profound impacts for Lupus patients. Here was the highly effective KEY to slowing deterioration, preventing attacks, and promoting regeneration.

Naproxen /nəˈprɒksən/ (INN; brand names: Aleve, Naprosyn and many others) usually sold as the sodium salt naproxen sodium is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) of the propionic acid class (which puts it in the same class as ibuprofen) and is commonly used for relief of a wide variety of pain, fever, swelling and stiffness. It is the preferred NSAID for long-term use in people with a high risk of cardiovascular (for example, heart attacks or strokes) complications, due to its relatively low risk of causing such complications. Naproxen has an intermediate risk of causing stomach ulcers as compared with ibuprofen, which is low risk, and indometacin, which is high risk. In order to reduce the risk of stomach ulceration, it is often combined with a proton-pump inhibitor (a medication that reduces the production of stomach acid) during long-term treatment, in those with pre-existing stomach ulcers, or a history of developing stomach ulcers while on NSAIDs. I'm going to be making a series of videos that will go in depth into prescription drugs. And they ARE drugs. They are man made chemicals that alter your mind and do damage to your brain and body. NAPROXEN was prescribed to me years ago, right when my neuropathy started to show up, and it proved to me then that it was useless. I had no idea just how much harm I was doing myself, and that all the messed up things that were happening to me was the effects of poisonous prescriptions. They are here for one reason only... to keep you needing pills, those pills, other pills, ALL OF THE PILLS!!! holy crap, do they want you on all their pills. they are harmful, from the chemicals themselves to the coating and the color. its crazy to think that we went from natural medicine and plant cures to stealing those same exact ideas from nature and trying to replicate that in a lab, to no avail.. you can recreate the effects of a natural compound but it will never be the compound, therefore any benefits you would have gotten from the natural cure you wont get from the synthetic type, because again you've only mimicked the certain effect, like say, lowering blood pressure...... a certain chemical may lower blood pressure in certain individuals, say the chemical is found in garlic, flaxseed, basil or cinnamon(because they are herbs that naturally lower blood pressure from certain causes) and many other plant cures that are used to lower blood pressure naturally, are what the scientists are trying to recreate... yet they fail to see that this plant in its whole does more of an impact and also has proteins that break down other chemicals in our bodies and so forth...they just focus on synthesizing the one chemical compound, then put it into pill form, which is full of fluoride as well. after adding more chemicals that make the pill dissolve at a certain time, dissolve fast or slow, dissolve easier, color, coating, to help you absorb a certain way....then package them and give them to you. and they do advertise directly to you. they will try and steal from nature, while at the same time, discrediting it, sadly. these prescriptions are the danger. next time your dr. tells you that you need a medication for something, do a google search of a natural remedy for your problem and ask them why they don't offer you a non harmful, non addictive, alternative to the poisonous prescriptions they are taught to push to you #killerpills post your own video and hashtag it killerpills. let others know what you've been through and what you've found
