Feeling tired?? What helped me - Iron deficiency // Silke Dewulf

11:56
Hi beautiful souls, During the months of february through april I have been feeling extra tired. It was the same kind of tiredness I felt right before I went vegan. I was constantly tired, I woke up tired, had to take a nap EVERY single day and then went to bed tired. I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong, so I went to the doctor. She took some blood samples but also told me it was common, 'a lot of people feel extra tired during spring'. However I don't believe common equals normal. I went on a little search online and stumbled accross VegAnn's video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4AQW8RmTACs Here's a link to the supplement on amazon in case you can't find it in your health food store: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Floravital-Vitamin-Formula-Liquid-250ml/dp/B002F5AXI2/ref=sr_1_2_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1466098282&sr=8-2&keywords=floravital I believe supplementation like this can help in acute situations, but I do intend on preventing this to ever happen again by trying to incorporate even more dark green veggies into my diet. That being said the supplement 'Floravital' works like a fucking wonder potion. I feel like my old self again. I finally have the energy again to workout and I am energized throughout the day without having to nap :D Yaaay to that ;-p I hope this helped you in any way, Love, Silke +Contact+ ------------------ My blog: silkedewulf.com IG: @silkedewulf Tumblr: @holisticyogini +Veganism+ -------------------- Why vegan?: silkedewulf.com/why-vegan.html Earthlings: youtube.com/watch?v=ibuQ-J04eLQ Cowspiracy: www.cowspiracy.com +Visit my friends+ ------------------------------- Bea Weston: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0bGt4uVXyeqynwM0RcqhcQ VivaLucci: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDm9aYl1wthjBmDwv0SF17w Veganground: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChhvsLOr65KwrmvT-t_bhIA Veganspeak: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHzHZkCwYjRfDjts4O9OL1Q Cherimoyalove: https://www.youtube.com/user/nkzhjghdgh

Sign up for our FREE masterclass on how to double your energy www.theenergyblueprint.com/virtual-training/ For a full transcript go to: www.theenergyblueprint.com/why-does-coffee-make-me-tired/ Coffee and caffeine are often thought of as energy boosting substances? And indeed, immediately following caffeine consumption, you will feel a boost in energy. Yet, the story of how coffee relates to energy levels (and fatigue) is more complex than it seems on the surface. I'll give you a clue why I say this: Every day, thousands of people do Google searches with questions like "why does coffee make me sleepy?", and "coffee makes me tired?", and "can coffee make you tired?" The truth is that while coffee and caffeine do give an immediate boost in energy, daily consumption of coffee is actually slowly degrading your energy over time without you realizing it. And at the same time, it's making you dependent on coffee to function. Sound hard to believe? Get ready to explore the actual research! (Hint: If coffee were just an energy booster, there probably wouldn't be thousands of people using the internet every day trying to figure out why it seems to be making them sleepy or tired.) Get ready, because there are a lot of twists and turns to this story, and there is some shocking research that will likely shock and amaze you... So what's the deal with coffee? What is really doing to your energy levels? And what is it doing to your overall health? In this podcast, you'll learn: • Why most people use coffee in ways that are counterproductive and are hurting their mood, performance, and making them tired • What it means when you get a caffeine crash •Why coffee is not giving you the boost that you think it is giving you • How you can use coffee to get the health benefits while keeping your energy levels high Why Does Coffee Make Me Tired? │How Caffeine Is Quietly Sabotaging Your Energy Levels (Without You Realizing It) - Show Notes Does Caffeine Give You Energy, or Does It Cause Caffeine Fatigue? What Will Happen If You Start Eating Oats Every Day

10:07
Doctors and nutritionists highly recommend making oatmeal a part of your diet and having it as your healthy morning meal. The secret is simple: good-quality environmentally-friendly oats help you feel and look better on the inside and out. Oats have some unique properties thanks to the wide variety of vitamins and minerals they contain. Zinc helps cleanse the skin and remove toxins and other harmful compounds. Iron is one of the most important elements for the nutrition and saturation of moisture in skin cells. Magnesium promotes blood circulation and noticeable skin cell renewal. While protein is extremely important, your body also demands carbohydrates and fats, both of which you can find in oatmeal. Oats are also rich in antioxidants that help alleviate itching, inflammation, and high blood pressure. The slow carbohydrates found in oatmeal help curb your appetite and maintain normal blood sugar levels. All those nutrients in oats not only boost your metabolism but also prevent the accumulation of fat and toxins in the body. Thanks to the antioxidants present in oatmeal, the probability of damage to the walls of blood vessels by free radicals is reduced significantly. If you find it boring to just have oatmeal for breakfast every day, you’ll love the recipes we have put together to help you turn a boring oatmeal breakfast into something way more flavorful. Music: Mint Chocolate 2a - Vibe Mountain https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music TIMESTAMPS Your skin will look better. 0:51 Your muscles will get much-needed protein. 1:48 You’ll get a boost of antioxidants. 2:31 You'll be full of energy. 3:19 You'll lose weight. 4:19 Your cholesterol will decrease. 5:00 You'll have a lower risk of developing heart disease. 5:40 You'll get rid of digestive problems. 6:00 Oatmeal recipes: Apple pie oatmeal 6:50 Oatmeal raisin cookies 7:43 Almond butter-banana oatmeal 8:55 SUMMARY -Oatmeal is ideal for treating inflammatory conditions, like eczema, dermatitis, and skin rashes. It also promotes healthy skin overall. -One serving, or about half a cup, of oatmeal gives your body 15% of the recommended daily amount of protein. Don’t forget about vitamin E, antioxidants, and glutamine, which help muscle fibers regenerate faster. -Oats are rich in antioxidants that help alleviate itching, inflammation, and high blood pressure. -Oatmeal is full of carbohydrates that give your body the energy it needs. -Beta-glucan in oats keeps you from overeating by helping you feel fuller for a longer amount of time and promoting the release of a satiety hormone. -The linoleic acid and soluble fiber contained in oatmeal helps lower the level of bad cholesterol in the blood. -Oats are rich in good healthy fats and support the cells in the heart and circulatory system. -Experts recommend getting at least 25-38 grams of dietary fiber every day since it’s ideal for good digestion. -Try apple pie oatmeal to boost your metabolism. You’ll need oatmeal, almond milk, cinnamon, maple syrup, a large apple and apple sauce to cook it. -The ingredients you’ll need for oatmeal raisin cookies are flour, sea salt, baking soda, butter, an egg, brown sugar, cinnamon, raisins, apple sauce and fast-cooking oats. -To cook almond butter-banana oatmeal, you’ll need oatmeal, milk, almond butter, honey and a banana. What Are Vitamin D Deficiency Symptoms?

06:05
For more info: https://draxe.com/vitamin-d-deficiency-symptoms/?utm_campaign=Youtube-Apr-2015&utm_medium=social&utm_source=youtube&utm_term=vitaminddeficiency In this video I’m going to talk about the benefits of vitamin D as well as symptoms of vitamin D deficiency. In certain studies, Americans has been found to be the #1 population in vitamin D deficiency. Some of the main symptoms of vitamin D deficiency are a weakened immune system, candida or bacterial overgrowth, emotional ups and downs, hormone imbalance, trouble putting on muscle or losing weight, weakened bones or teeth, cancer, heart disease, or diabetes. Vitamin D supports having a healthy immune response, digestive health, hormone balance, and more. The biggest causes of vitamin D deficiency are not getting enough sunlight, certain chemicals from plastic bottles (bpa), and toxicity. Try to get outside everyday for about 20-30 minutes of natural sunlight. Certain foods that are sources of vitamin D are wild caught fish, raw fermented milk, mushrooms, and eggs. However, there are small amounts in the food you eat. For a good supplement, I would recommend a high quality vitamin D supplement. You don’t want to take vitamin D2, but you do want to take vitamin D3. For supplementation, take about 2000-5000 IUs a day. However, if you have a severe deficiency, then for 1-2 months, you may take 5000 IUs twice daily. Lastly, you want to take your vitamin D3 with some form of fat like coconut oil or avocado to help absorption in your body. For more on vitamin d deficiency, you can check out this article: http://draxe.com/vitamin-d-deficiency-symptoms/ *This content is strictly the opinion of Dr. Josh Axe, and is for informational and educational purposes only. How to Overcome Adrenal Fatigue

06:58
For more info: https://draxe.com/3-steps-to-heal-adrenal-fatigue/?utm_campaign=Youtube-Nov-2014&utm_medium=social&utm_source=youtube&utm_term=adrenalfatigue In this video, I’m going to walk you through the steps to overcome adrenal fatigue. Most fatigue problems and adrenal insufficiency come from issues with the adrenal glands. About 80% of the population deals with this common problem. There are several warning signs that indicate you may have adrenal fatigue. If you struggle with fatigue, are stressed, anxious, have trouble with concentration, poor memory, thyroid issues, or gained mysterious weight, you may have adrenal fatigue. There are three steps you will want to take to get rid of adrenal fatigue for good. The first starts with your diet. Foods to get out of your diet are caffeine, sugar, and hydrogenated oils. Foods that are high in vitamin B12 and magnesium are going to support your adrenal glands and blood sugar levels, so you will want to add these foods into your diet. Foods like coconut oil, coconut milk, coconut, olives, olive oil, raw dairy products, grass-fed butter, organic meats, loads of vegetables, and seaweed are all crucial to your diet as well. Secondly, you will want to support your adrenals by taking supplements like adaptogenic herbs (such as ashwagandha, holy basil, and licorice root), which will help your body adapt and deal with stress. Additionally, a vitamin B complex, magnesium, vitamin D, selenium will support the healing of your adrenals. Lastly, you should focus on lowering your stress levels. Try getting 8-10 hours of sleep a night, reflect and address your stressors, add fun activities into your routine, and exercise. If you follow these three steps, you will be well on your way to naturally healing adrenal fatigue. Warning Signs That You're Zinc Deficient

05:53
For more info: https://draxe.com/zinc-deficiency/?utm_campaign=Youtube-Feb-2015&utm_medium=social&utm_source=youtube&utm_term=zincdeficient Today I’m going to share with you the five warning signs that you’re zinc deficient. About 75% of people in the world are deficient, so being deficient in zinc is very common. The 5 warning signs you’re zinc deficient: 1.) If you get sick a lot or have immune system issues 2.) Have leaky gut (http://draxe.com/7-signs-symptoms-you-have-leaky-gut/) 3.) If you struggle with diarrhea or IBS 4.) Thinning hair 5.) Inflammatory skin issues like acne, eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis One of the biggest factors in causing zinc deficiency is high levels of emotional stress. The second most common cause of zinc deficiency is over-exercise. The third most common reason your zinc deficient is if you’re pregnant or breast feeding. Lastly, if you’re older, you may tend to have malabsorption, which causes a zinc deficiency. In order to get more zinc in your diet, you need to consume more zinc-rich foods. The top 5 zinc-rich foods are pumpkin seeds, oysters, grass-fed beef, sprouted nuts and seeds, and peas. Additionally, probiotics are a key supplement to take when zinc deficient because it can help your overall absorption of nutrients. For more information on zinc deficiency, you can check out this article: http://draxe.com/zinc-deficiency/ *This content is strictly the opinion of Dr. Josh Axe, and is for informational and educational purposes only. The REAL reason you’re sick and tired (until now) - Saturday Strategy

The REAL reason you’re sick and tired (until now) - Saturday Strategy There is something I do every week or so that helps me stay at the top of my game. It gives me a boost in certain vitamins and minerals that I would otherwise be deficient in, despite my healthy lifestyle. DID YOU KNOW: According to a 2011 report, a whopping 90% of Americans fall short of key nutrients that they need for optimum health. That’s 9 out of 10 people in your family, neighborhood, community, city… and many of you reading this (such as myself) happen to live in one of the wealthiest nations in the world. Why are we walking around deficient in vitamins and minerals that should be so abundantly available? A lot of people see me getting vitamin shots and wonder why I choose to get them when I already eat so healthy. You may be one of the people that assume that because I juice, workout and eat very clean that I must already be a superhuman. But I’m only half-superhuman. :) Some people even stop following me because they think I must be a fake. I understand the confusion, but let’s clear things up… Watch this video to find out the truth. What Does Sugar Do To Your Body? 10 Proven Negative Effects of Sugar

05:05
To support our channel and level up your health, check out: Our Fast Weight Loss Course: http://thehealthnerds.com/the-science-of-fast-weight-loss-course Our Better Health Basics Course: http://thehealthnerds.com/food-health-happiness Today, we’re going to be answering the question of what does sugar do to your body and the 10 negative effects of sugar. #1. Sugar can give you wrinkles and adds age to your face Scientists from the Leiden University Medical Centre, in the Netherlands, measured the blood sugar levels of 600 men and women aged between 50 and 70. In fact, for every 1mm/liter increase in blood sugar, the perceived age of that person rose by five months. http://www.research.leiden.edu/news/looking-older-blood-sugar-plays-a-role.html #2. Sugar is Also Associated With Acne Foods ranked high on the Glycemic Index such as sugar and refined carbs have been associated with greater amounts of acne on the face and body according to the latest research. A study of Australian men showed that those who ate a diet with a low glycemic load saw a great reduction in overall acne. It was a small study with only 23 men but is still food for thought. https://www.aad.org/media/news-releases/growing-evidence-suggests-possible-link-between-diet-and-acne #3. Sugary drinks cause an 83% increase in developing type II diabetes In one study of 91,249 women showed those who consumed 1 sugar-sweetened beverage a day had an 83% increased risk of developing type II diabetes compared to those who had only 1 a month. #4. People who eat sugar are at a much higher risk of cancer There has been a direct link seen between breast, and colon cancer with sugar consumption. http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/0306987783900956 http://cebp.aacrjournals.org/content/6/9/677.short This is likely due to the fact that insulin is one of the key factors behind the growth and multiplication of cells, and sugar spikes insulin to abnormally high levels. #5. Sugar Can Ruin Your Teeth A study by the American Journal of clinical nutrition showed that sugar destroys the healthy bacteria in our mouth. This can cause tooth erosions and may dim that bright smile. http://ajcn.nutrition.org/content/78/4/881S.full What about sugar and weight gain? There are 5 proven reason sugar leads to added weight gain... #6. Sugar is the premier definition of empty calories. It has no real nutritional value, no nutrients, no minerals, no proteins, and no fiber. Because of this lack of nutrients… #7. Sugar makes you feel hungry In a study by Yale University, those that consumed sugar had an INCREASED appetite and desire for more food. http://yaledailynews.com/blog/2013/01/15/overeating-linked-to-sugar-consumption/ So not only does sugar fill you with empty calories, it makes you want more of those calories. This process happens because sugar screws up hormonal levels in the body. Which leads to #8. Sugar blocks leptin and raises insulin to supernatural levels Leptin is a hormone in charge of telling us we’re full and need to stop eating. It also tells us we have energy and should go out and use that energy. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18703413 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15111494 Sugar consumption blocks this hormone from doing its job and from reaching the brain. http://nutritionandmetabolism.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/1743-7075-2-5 9. Sugar causes belly fat Numerous studies have shown direct links from sugar to increased accumulation of belly fat. Despite knowing all this, it’s hard to stop eating sugar because http://www.jci.org/articles/view/37385 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19248858 #10. Sugar is addictive Similar to drugs like cocaine, scientists have now shown that sugar causes a very similar release of dopamine in the brain. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2235907 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2851032/ Studies on neuroplasticity have shown that drug users have similar behavioral addictions to those addicted to sugar. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3139704/ Point black. Sugar is ADDICTING and comes without the immediate social repercussions of frequent drug use. That’s why it’s so hard to stop eating it. How much should you eat per day? None. There is not a reason to be eating this food in your diet, but only on the rare occasion as a treat. What about fruit? Fruit has fiber, vitamins, minerals, water, and tons of nutrients that refined sugar does not have. http://www.bmj.com/content/347/bmj.f5001 Sticking to whole sources like apples, oranges, and berries are a better idea. What should you do if you can’t stop eating sugar? I think this subject needs to be covered in greater detail, so either next week or sometime soon we will be making a video about breaking sugar addiction if that’s something you guys want.

The Inflammation Factor in Common Diseases

10:15
Take Dr. Berg's Free Keto Mini-Course: http://pxlme.me/-i717vtY or go here: https://www.drberg.com/how-to-do-ketosis Download Keto Essentials https://m.me/drericberg?ref=w2128577 In this video, Dr. Berg talks about the common healthcare problems. Heart Disease • The blood vessel starts developing plaque that build up with cholesterol, LDL (Low Density Lipoprotein), calcium. There’s a huge focus on cholesterol but doesn’t have any problem with protein or calcium even though calcium makes up this plaque. Before the plaque develops, there’s always something that causes it and that is usually an inflammation and damage in the artery wall of the heart from infection, free iron, oxidant, high sugar, etc. • Coronary Artery Calcium Test – The best test for heart health and is way more accurate in detecting heat disease by testing the calcification. Cancer 1. Damage to Mitochondria from free radical or oxidants and all things called carcinogens 2. Shift to different metabolism – sugar, glutamine 3. Cancer follows areas of inflammation Alzheimer’s • Amyloid Plaquing – It is a type of protein that comes from a damage to the brain, infection, inflammation, chemicals and oxidation. The body is trying to heal, protect or patch something up. Autoimmune Disease • The body is developing antibodies. The body’s own immune system is attacking its own organs and glands and there’s inflammation as a result from the immune war that creates a collateral damage. • There’s always a stress event that occurs right before a person develops autoimmune disease. 6 Key Things to Prevent These Conditions: 1. Eat foods that has protective factors 2. Keep Stress Low 3. Keep Sugar Low 4. Keep Key Vitamins High 5. Intermittent Fasting 6. Gut Health Hey guys today we're going to talk about the common threads between the real big healthcare problems out there. Heart disease, cancer, alzheimer's, autoimmune diseases, I've talked a lot about diabetes, we'll touch on that a little bit and there's other ones but these are the main ones. Let's first talk about heart disease, what happens in the blood vessel of someone with heart disease is they start developing plaque and the plaque is built up with cholesterol and the person usually has a high LDL and that's called bad cholesterol supposedly bad cholesterol. But in reality LDL is low-density lipoprotein. It has cholesterol in it but this is a protein and there's this huge focus on cholesterol but not any problem with protein. If we take a look at a plaques, it's composed of cholesterol, calcium and proteins. But people don't say to avoid protein and they don't tell you to avoid calcium either, right? Even though calcium makes up this plaque, they really target this thing called cholesterol. Now, the thing you need to know is before this piece of plaque develops there's always something that starts it. And it's usually some inflammatory situation going on, there's some type of damage in wall of the artery in the heart and then it starts to build up and one of the best test to do for the heart is called a coronary artery calcium test. Coronary artery calcium test is way more accurate in detecting heart disease than LDL or cholesterol or anything because they're look at calcification. The Supplement Timeline (What Age - Which Supplements!)

15:14
Stop taking supplements you can’t trust. Get Jeff Cavaliere’s exact supplements here http://athleanx.com/x/supplements-trusted-to-deliver When it comes to taking supplements, there are a lot of questions as to when you should begin taking them and which ones are better than others. I think you have to start by breaking down the nutritional supplements into categories. In this video, I categorize multivitamins, specialty vitamins, protein powders, pre workouts, creatine, BCAA’s, creatine, omega-3’s and joint recovery formulas. Each group is discussed in relation to one of four age brackets regarding their appropriateness. All of the supplements discussed are ones that I take myself and would recommend to others. You will not see any testosterone boosters or pro hormones because I don’t believe in them or recommend them to my viewers. Even the pre workout supplements must undergo severe scrutiny based on the dangers that have been shown to riddle that product category for the past couple of years. All that said however, I make it very clear that any supplementation plan must start with a commitment to good nutrition. If you think that you are going to make up for a bad diet by taking supplements you are flat out fooling yourself, and likely wasting a lot of money. Supplements are meant to supplement a good nutrition plan. When you have a dedication to eating well, not perfect, but well…supplements can be a savior and a huge difference maker as they really help with the consistency needed to see great results. Some manufacturers want you to believe that their supplement will help you overcome poor nutrition. They will make you think that you can simply sleep your way to a six pack. It’s laughable and dishonest to say the least. The hard truth of the matter is that high quality nutrition is a must if you want to really see the fastest and best results possible. That said, ATHLEAN-X is committed to both proper nutrition and high quality, safe supplements. Through our X-Factor meal plan, available in the ATHLEAN-X Training System, and the Rx supplements we provide our program followers with all the tools needed to make a big difference in how they look in just 90 days. If you want to get either or both, you can head to http://athleanx.com and start eating and training like an athlete. How To Make Banana Tea For Restful Sleep (Natural Sleep Remedy)

03:09
Are you having trouble getting a good night’s rest? We all do at times. With all the stress around us, it can be hard to fall asleep, stay asleep, and wake up feeling rested. Stress and electromagnetic frequencies from cellphones, computers, and other electronics don’t help the case. Bright lights, and other things, can change our nervous system and sleep hormones, and lessen how much good sleep we get. When you don’t get enough sleep, you lose out on what your body can do to work properly. Your cognitive thinking skills get worse, your motor skills slow down, your energy drops, and you’re at more risk for diseases and health conditions like obesity, diabetes, and cancer. You’ll feel better, work better, and block disease by getting at least eight hours of sleep each night. The easiest thing to do is grab a sleeping pill, but is that a good idea? It may work for a little while, but it’s really harming your body’s health and natural abilities. Sleeping pills can come along with dizziness, constipation, stomach pain, a hard time paying attention, memory problems, and harm to the central nervous system. If you do not want the bad things that come with sleeping pills, what can you do? The answer is banana cinnamon tea. Using the soothing value of banana, the banana peel, and cinnamon is a great way to push insomnia and other sleeping disorders aside. Bananas are full of potassium and magnesium. Most people do not know that the banana peel has even more potassium and magnesium than the banana, and they just throw it away. Not anymore! With this simple recipe, you can get the help from the potassium and magnesium in the banana peel. Potassium and magnesium are helpful to the nervous system and are great for soothing the muscles. In fact, magnesium is the most important mineral to ease muscles and can lessen muscle cramps and other aches and pains. Cinnamon is great because it evens out blood sugar levels. When blood sugar levels are even, your hormones can work in a way that lets you sleep better. If your blood sugar levels are off, then you may have energy at night, or be tired during the day. Here’s the recipe: Ingredients: 1 organic banana (with peel) 1 small pot of water A sprinkle of cinnamon (if you’d like) Step 1: Cut off both ends of the banana (top and bottom) Step 2: Put the banana into a pot of boiling water. It’s even better if the water is spring water or filtered in some way. Boil it for about 10 minutes. Sprinkle some cinnamon in the water as well. If you’d like to add some stevia for sweetening, do so. Stevia helps to even out blood sugar levels, and will not raise blood sugar levels before bed. Step 3: Add more cinnamon if you’d like, and enjoy! Is Coffee Bad for You?

05:11
For more info: https://draxe.com/coffee-nutrition-facts/?utm_campaign=Youtube-Jan-2015&utm_medium=social&utm_source=youtube&utm_term=coffee One of the most common questions I’ve been getting recently is, “Is coffee bad for you?” The answer is, yes … and no. Coffee is beneficial because it contains massive amounts of antioxidants, which help slow the aging process and protect you from free radical damage. Coffee also helps stimulate the liver and increases circulation, helping blood flow to the brain. Coffee can be harmful in some ways because of the amount of caffeine it contains. The caffeine in coffee can overstimulate the body, burn out your adrenal glands, and overtax your body. About 80% of people in the world will struggle with thyroid problems or fatigue issues. For this group, I wouldn’t recommend coffee because it will burn out your adrenal glands. However, if you’re generally healthy, then drinking coffee in moderate amounts can be fine, and even good for your health. I wouldn’t recommend drinking coffee past lunch time because it can affect your sleep cycle that night. Depending on the condition of your body, if you’re suffering from an autoimmune disease, coffee can make your disease worse. If you’re pretty healthy, looking for a pick-me-up, or looking for more antioxidants, then coffee can provide you these benefits. When picking out your coffee beans, I would recommend choosing all natural, organic coffee because it’s one of the most highly sprayed plants in the world. Lastly, if you’re looking for a great substitute for coffee, I would suggest drinking matcha green tea because it has great benefits and one-third the amount of caffeine. *This content is strictly the opinion of Dr. Josh Axe, and is for informational and educational purposes only. What Does Vitamin K1 do?

03:32
Take Dr. Berg's Free Keto Mini-Course: http://pxlme.me/-i717vtY or go here: https://www.drberg.com/how-to-do-ketosis Download Keto Essentials https://m.me/drericberg?ref=w2128577 Acceptable Vegetables if on Warfarin(Coumadin): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kEc30VHaKDw In this video, Dr. Berg talks about vitamin K1. It is a cofactor or a helper nutrient to make Prothrombin(clotting factor) and very important for making bone. There’s also many different types of proteins like C and S in vitamin K1 which are anti-clotting. If you’re in Coumadin, you can’t take vitamin K1 because you have a blood thinner and couldn’t consume a lot of leafy greens. He also discussed about the other medication called Eliquis, which can allow you to consume leafy greens. Things That Block the Absorption of Vitamin K1 • Constipated • Liver Problem – Fatty Liver, Cirrhosis • Insulin Resistance • Gallbladder Problems • IBS - Damage within the Colon • Gastric Bypass Best Sources of Vitamin K1 • Leafy Greens • Spinach • Kale Hey guys! Today we are going to talk about vitamin K1. I've done a other videos on vitamin K2 which is involved in the transportation of calcium out of the soft tissues, out of the arteries into the bone but vitamin K1 is just as important for different functions but they both work together. So, vitamin K1 is a cofactor which is a helper nutrient to make something called prothrombin. Sometime people think "wow, I don't want to take vitamin K1 because I don't want to have a clot and die of heart attack" but realize that vitamin K1 also has other proteins. There's many different types of subtypes of vitamin K1 kind of in a complex, there's a protein C and a S which are anti-clotting so it's not just about clotting, it also helps you break up clots and vitamin K1 is really really important in making bone. In fact, if you don't have any vitamin K1, it's going to be very difficult to make bone even if you have calcium or other minerals. There are certain things that block the absorption of vitamin K1. One is if you're constipated. Number 2 is when you have a liver problem a fatty liver, you have cirrhosis of the liver, you have insulin resistance, gallbladder problems because you need a bile to break down this fat soluble vitamin, IBS any type of damage within your colon, let's say you have ileitis which is an inflammation in the part of the ileum or Crohn's, Diverticulitis can block the absorption of vitamin K1. If you have gastric bypass that can inhibit the absorption of vitamin K1 as well. Realize that K1 also helps make K2, it's kind of like a precursor - so your body also has microbes that makes the vast majority of vitamin K2 in fact 75% of the K2 you have is made by your own microbes. So that means if you take an antibiotic or you destroy the microbes, you're gonna make a lot less K2 and what are the symptoms? You're gonna get calcification in the arteries, you can get calcification in the joints, you can have bone loss, all sorts of things. Now, the unique thing about vitamin K1 which is a fat soluble vitamins that is different from the other fat soluble vitamins is that it doesn't get stored. So you actually need quite a bit. So next one, vitamin K1 is very very essential for bone. We talked about that. 5 Supplements You SHOULD NEVER BUY!!!

08:40
These are the worst supplements not worth your money. Learn what to avoid and save for the best supplements available for weight loss and to gain muscle that are worth taking. If you're a beginner or if you're advanced watch this video to find out what to take and what not to take. 🔥 FREE 6 Week Challenge: https://gravitychallenges.com/home65d4f?utm_source=ytube&utm_term=buy Fat Loss Calculator: http://bit.ly/2oTEK1W Look a little over 5 years ago I was the guy that had every possible supplement that you could possibly imagine spread out on my counter. I was taking protein creatine glucosamine prostate supports liver support milk thistle fish oils, c.l.a.s digestive enzymes, just a whole bunch of stuff most of which I did not need at all. Unfortunately nobody was around to tell me that all the supplements that I bought were just leading to one thing and that was expensive pee. Seriously guys the supplement industry is huge. And there are a lot of products that you're told will help you build muscle or help you burn fat 3 times as fast but the truth is that most of these supplements are just gonna burn a whole in your wallet and you going to wind up spending money that you could have spent on good food that would actually get you way more results. Today I want to go over the top five BS supplements that you should stay away from. Let's start with number one liquid ketones. the reason why I wanted to mention liquid ketones first is because they're becoming more and more popular right now. The whole idea is that liquid ketones are supposed to help you enter ketosis faster so liquid ketones are really growing in popularity especially with the keto diet crowd. Unfortunately somebody should tell them that this supplements claims are just straight up lies. In order for your body to go into ketosis you have to restrict carb intake enough for your body to begin converting fat into ketones which will be used as energy. Simply put you're using fat as your primary source of fuel when you don't have any carbs. This process of using ketones for energy known as ketosis essentially allows people to Target their fat stores and burn more fat. Ketosis happens naturally when you take glycogen or carbs away from the body not when you add something in. Randomly adding in ketones into your body will not put you into a state of ketosis. Again ketosis leads to ketones, but ketones don't lead to ketosis. So when your body is in ketosis that leads to Natural Ketone production for fuel not the other way around. Adding in extra ketones for no reason will just give you extra fuel to burn before you start burning your own fat stores. Which was the whole point of taking the liquid ketones to begin with. It's actually really really stupid when you think about it. Anyway...Next up are massgainers That's right Massgainers are a complete waste of money and here's why.... first of all mass gainers are not healthy at all. It's pretty much a little bit of protein powder filled with a ton of sugar. In fact they have so much filler sugar that most Mass gainers fail lab tests for protein. Meaning that they have less protein than what's written on the package. if you want the best bang for your buck then buy regular protein powder & use it to make your own mass gainer. you can create a way better Mass Gainer with ingredients that come from real food for your body to actually use. What you do is you take 2 scoops of protein, two tablespoons of peanut butter, two bananas, two servings of rolled oats & one to two tablespoons of coconut oil. Then you add in either water or whole milk if you really want to add extra calories. Then blend it with some ice & walla you have yourself a killer massgainer thats cheaper & much more effective than what you would get out of a commercial mass gainer. Next on the list are multivitamins & I know a lot of people are going to lose it when I explain this because some people really do think that taking a multivitamin everyday Will magically keep them healthy. don't worry about my diet ....I got my multivitamins. Sorry to break it to you but your multivitamin is only doing two things... one overfilling the pockets of supplement companies & two giving you expensive piss......thats pretty much it. 3 studies published in the journal....annals of internal medicine found that multivitamins & minerals didn't perform any better than a placebo pill in regard to People's Health. Meanwhile supplements like multivitamins continue to lead a multi-billion-dollar industry. First of all we don't even understand the full spectrum of vitamins minerals & antioxidants present in real fruits & vegetables. Like what I mean is we might know about half of them or maybe 10 percent of them or maybe 1 percent of them...we don't know. But even that aside when you take the vitamins that you think we need to stay healthy & you make a synthetic pill I don't care if it's in a veggie cap its foreign to your body..
What Will Happen If You Eat Nothing for 7 Days

10:52
How to Fast. What if you decided to quit eating for an entire week? Would it be dangerous for your body? Nowadays, many people prefer to stick to periodical water fasting, so they don't consume any food and drink apart from water. Water fasting should last for no more than a couple of days, and you should consult with a doctor beforehand. Among its benefits are lower blood pressure, improved insulin and leptin sensitivity, lower cholesterol levels, and weight loss. The first and most important thing is not to jump into a long session of water fasting right away. Your first experience with it should last for about 2 days. As you plan your 7-day water fasting, try to pick a low-stress time in your life. Doing this during exam season or when you're moving house isn't the best time. TIMESTAMPS What will happen to your body if you stop eating 0:58 What will happen after the first 6 hours 1:59 What will happen after 3 days 2:47 What will happen after a week 3:29 What will happen after a month or up to 70 days 3:46 What is water fasting 4:52 What is intermittent fasting 6:00 How to perform a water fast 7:31 What to do after you’re done with fasting 9:22 Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY -For the first 6 hours of your “no food” period, everything's going to be just fine. -After 6 hours, your body begins to starve since there's not enough glucose in your blood. -After 3 “no food” days, your brain goes to another extreme and starts to break down your body's protein. This happens because proteins release amino acids, which can be converted into the glucose your body so desperately needs. -After one “no food” week, your immune system becomes extremely weak because it isn’t receiving any vitamins or minerals. -Starvation may lead to death after almost a month or up to 70 days. -There's one rule when it comes to water fasting: you don't consume any food and drink apart from water. According to specialists, water fasting should last for no more than a couple of days, and a consultation with a doctor beforehand is obligatory. -If you want to water fast because of the weight loss factor, you have another option: intermittent fasting. This means eating nothing (or just a few calories) for a certain period of time and then eating as usual for another period. -The first and most important thing is not to jump into a long session of water fasting right away. Your first experience with it should last for about 2 days. Listen to your body carefully during your first water fasting. -When you're done with your fasting, you should break it slowly. Easily digested foods like soups, juices, pureed fruit, white rice, and mashed potatoes are the best products for your first 2 days. Why You Should Sleep With Garlic Under Your Pillow

03:18
Garlic is a very common food found in many kitchens throughout the world and has been around for hundreds of years. While it has been used to season food, it has also been placed in many home remedies for years. Because garlic is such a versatile ingredient, it has many beneficial qualities. Garlic has been used to flavor dishes, get rid of pests, and even play into superstitions of chasing away vampires. Whatever the reason, we do know that garlic is a nutrient-dense food. It has many important qualities and can benefit your health in many ways. Garlic is actually a food that is high in calories, up to 100 calories per 100 grams. However, no one truly consumes that much garlic so it is nearly impossible to gain weight eating garlic alone. Garlic has both complex carbohydrates and proteins that both improve your physical performance and mental health. Garlic is also high in vitamins and minerals, such as Vitamin B, Sodium, Potassium, and Magnesium. It also is high in Allicin, which is a compound composed of sulfur. Garlic can treat infections, metabolic disorders, and respiratory problems. It contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatories which assist in cardiovascular health. It reduces the body's cholesterol levels and regulates the body's blood pressure. It can also help with increasing the body’s blood flow and preventing premature aging. It can also kill germs better than some prescribed antibiotics. It can also help fight fluid buildup in the body and inflammation in the body's tissues. Garlic can improve pretty much every aspect of your bodily functions. Why would I put garlic under my pillow? This is an old family secret that has been used to improve sleep for generations. This is especially helpful to people who have difficulty falling asleep. Garlic's sulfur containing compounds and its strong aroma have a calming effect and can help your quality sleep. Garlic's aroma is strong and can be difficult; however, after a few days, you will get used to it and you will be sleeping so soundly, you will not even notice. Garlic also has a positive effect on your performance throughout the day and it helps at night to recharge for the next day. Another way to experience of the benefits of garlic's ability to help sleep involves preparing a natural drink that will help you relax: Ingredients: - 1 glass milk - 1 clove garlic, crushed - 1 teaspoon honey Directions: - Combine the garlic and milk in a saucepan and heat until boiling. - Let boil for 3 minutes, then remove from heat and let cool. - Add the honey and drink. - You should drink it around 30 minutes before bed for best results. In addition to being one of the best seasonings, garlic is a powerful ally for your health and will treat sleep problems. If you like the video, give it a thumbs up and share it with your friends!
