Watch the teaser trailer for Tim Burton’s all-new live-action Dumbo, coming to theatres March 2019.
From Disney and visionary director Tim Burton, the all-new grand live-action adventure “Dumbo” expands on the beloved classic story where differences are celebrated, family is cherished and dreams take flight. Circus owner Max Medici (Danny DeVito) enlists former star Holt Farrier (Colin Farrell) and his children Milly (Nico Parker) and Joe (Finley Hobbins) to care for a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him a laughingstock in an already struggling circus. But when they discover that Dumbo can fly, the circus makes an incredible comeback, attracting persuasive entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere (Michael Keaton), who recruits the peculiar pachyderm for his newest, larger-than-life entertainment venture, Dreamland. Dumbo soars to new heights alongside a charming and spectacular aerial artist, Colette Marchant (Eva Green), until Holt learns that beneath its shiny veneer, Dreamland is full of dark secrets.
Am I the only one who thought this adaptation of a beloved song was disturbing? I mean doesn't it sound like *a female pedophile whispering to a kidnapped baby not to make noise as she rape him/her in an abandoned house!?!*
Kinda ironic considering the company that has the nerve to do such a thing to their classics
I hope they don't portray animal circuses favourably. I'm uptight about this. They'd better have it so that Dumbo, his mother and all the other animals get a proper happy ending and go off to a sanctuary or something.
In the days when the first "Dumbo" movie was released, people didn't know any better, but now we know that actually animals in circuses are sometimes/often mistreated. I've just watched a video about a rescued bear (I started watching another video about other rescued bears). The animals are sometimes beaten, abused using chains and kept in cages when used in circuses.
Since Disney is clearly going to make shitty dollar store ripoffs of all their films that were actually good for pretty much the rest of the foreseeable future, can anyone recommend me a studio that actually makes new movies? Preferably one that isn't attempting to bore their own staff to death and make them work under a washed up one-trick director?
TBH I would trade all the crap live action remakes for the WDAS Florida studio to reopen and make just one single digicel film. At least it would look nice.
I hope they will make a Live Action for Disney UP or Disney Cars! Hehehe! or The Good Dinosaur. Very ridiculous. leave the old classic cartoon alone. Stop doing this live action movies. What next live action Big Hero 6 or Lilo and Stitch?
