I find the buffet mode to be dissapointing because I wanted to make an underground jungle but when I do no trees spawn. I know that's cos it's all underground but surely they could change the code a little to allow trees to spawn in these cases?
I foudn something really weird in Buffet Mode...when I spawn in a Cave "Ocean" or Warm Ocean, if you go to about 141 or so on the Y coordinate...all the shipwrecks and ruins spawn above the bedrock barrier. (Still haven't found a coral reef yet though)
I remember when the world of color came out I tested it on bedrock and concrete powder spawned at random in a flat world. I tried breaking it and it instantly crashed my game. I later then got back on after 3 tries and mountains appeared as if it was not a flat world and many of the new blocks we’re placed as if they’re part of a biome but later just found out it was a chunk. Once I entered the chunk all around my screen was a pink magenta color and after a few short seconds my game crashed. I went back on a few minutes later and was unable to open the world up a few days later the world was no longer in my list of worlds.
I tried this once with the mushroom islands biome and i ended up with a world made of gravel, water, dirt, and many other blocks. Oceans of water appeared but they were empty, lifeless oceans. Which was boring but it had an insane noise map.
So I can't play 18W16A because I get a frozen client when I try it. I'm on Windows 10. All regular versions are fine, but when I try to play a snapshot, it's frozen. I can't click any buttons on the home screen. Additionally, when I close the window and reopen Minecraft, I get an error that I'm already logged in. According to Task Manager, when I try to close the frozen client, it doesn't actually close properly. Anyone else having this issue? How can I fix it? Thanks.
For those struggling with the term 'noise map', here is a really simple explanation.
Terrain generates in three distinct ways depending on the dimension. This is why The End always has floating islands above the void, even though it's always different. A noise map essentially tells the game that it can generate terrain in these areas. If you're older, you may remember in school, overhead projectors. The teachers would use sheets of cellophane type sheets with pictures on, and place them over the light, thus projecting the shadow of the picture onto the wall. This is kinda similar. The shadow, or 'noise map' is placed over the area and essentially shaded areas are mapped out to tell the game where blocks should and should generate. Each dimension has a different looking terrain, for example, the Nether is fully enclosed in bedrock.
Ant venom I found a glitch in Minecraft PE older version there are random tree stomps and a fallen birch tree log it seems very weird I don't know if you need the seed or not but the version is PE andthe seed is 85944247 but I don't think you can do it
AntVenom so what will happen to servers after the 1.13 update? I heard it will not be compatible anymore with the past versions, and most servers will now be forced to update. Can you make a video on that?
About the customized worlds thing, i believe that mojang can improve a lot world generation with json files (as was mentioned before), if they do it right it has the possibility to be even better than customized terrain + you could implement your own custom structures!
Maybe by removing the original custom world option, we might be able to customize this buffet mode even further, with things such as ore spawn rates. Maybe we could even make it so certain ores & structures will spawn in areas they originally couldn’t like a jungle temple in an ice spikes biome, or igloos in the desert
