Lickers and regeneratosrs from Resident Evil. All fucking necromorfs from Dead Space 2. All that wierd creatures from Silent Hill games, but big birds with two human heads from The room was scary as fuck.
Call me crazy, but when I played the first Halo when I was younger, the Flood scared the absolute hell out of me. They were ugly, relentless and played dead. I hated playing “The Library” my older brother had to do it for me until I got older lol
OK I am so sick of people saying the wendigo was terrifying in Until Dawn, IT IS NOT SCARY. the first time I saw the wendigo in Until Dawn I did not think it was scary in the least bit. The first time a saw a wendigo in general was in Supernatural and that wendigo was terrifying. if you truly want a Wendigo scare go watch I believe episode 2 of season one of Supernatural, or actually
read some Native American lore because the Wendigo in Until Dawn is a sad excuse for a Wendigo.
I personally thought Dead Space's hunter was far more terrifying than the slasher. The fact that I couldn't kill the hunter normally scared the shit out of me. The slashers weren't even in the same league in my opinion.
Honestly, I thought the Kaernk in Amnesia was the scariest monster. You couldn't even see it! You just heard it chasing you each step you took. That section of the game was the most heart-racing for me to watch my friend play.
+Itai Sprachman Well, I dunno, I was never scared by these zombies, as I was so used to them, because they are like the "mainstream" monster of games xD I was not scared of bosses like Nihilanth, or Slenderman either, it is true that Omega Flowey scared me from the start, it was unexpected, but things I really fear are not the ugly, dead, mutated looking enemies, but more like... The final boss from Drakan: Order of the flame. Not the boss itself, but first you fly on a dragon, and there is a rotating black/white hole below you, filled with mist and mysterious sound and once you do something in the game, you have to enter that dimension. Even the inside of it looks scary as hell.I do not know why this scares me more than enemies themselves, but knowing some things like a whole dimension is alive, or a planet in Stargate, which is made entirely from the replicator bodies and they could wake up in any moment, that's it xD
no not really, Omega is pretty unsettling, but nothing more
after like 5 minutes I got really used to him
truly scary enemies have gameplay advantage against you that goes with their looks, like Alien isolations Xenomorph (invincible and learns from your actions) Bloodbornes Winter lanterns (you can't even look at them without risk) or those zombies from countless games that overpower you, outnumber you or hear your footstep from half a mile away
this is just my opinion thou
