Sad to say. Only the Obscuralist theory about Harry Potter and the Predator's reasons to kill have been the only original YouTube videos you've guys have done so far. Stop ripping off others work and actually sit down and be creative! You guys are so great and talented, I'm disappointed in you guys.... I'm not going to unsubscribe cause I know you guys will only become better and better.😊
thats the type of movie I'd turn off after 5 minutes,
that movie is going in so many directions you don't know wtf is going on.
that and its cheesy type hell raiser wanna be movie that failed to entertain.
This is a good film theory, That Film Theory, but I don't think it was ever really mentioned or alluded to what's her name having a bad case of bulimia. Instead I think the medical condition you're reaching for That Film Theory is anorexia. Bulimia would indicate that she engorges herself on food up to often then later vomits somewhere unseen to maintain her thin figure. Anorexia would be the best film theory on why she's having so much difficulty dealing with food in general, not just sweets. She's traumatized from a childhood filled with being made fun of and quite possibly worse from her peers for being a fatty. So in her attempts to become thin she winds up sacrificing alot more than she initially wanted.
Over the course of the years she forgot about the reasons why she wanted to be thin in the first place, but by now it's no longer a longing or desire to be thin, but an all consuming need to be as thin as she possibly can. It doesn't help her at all to be in a highly competitive white collar job/work place. Then her on-the-surface-useful-but-ultimately-stupidly-useless boyfriend cracks tasteless fatty jokes which further reinforces her anorexic eating disorder. Because he barely qualifies as someone you would want for a friend let alone significant other he doesn't see the emotional distress he is causing her.
I think it's a nod to bulimia because there's SO MUCH that goes in her mouth that NO ONE would want in their mouths (an eyeball, worms/maggots, bile/saliva from another person) plus the scene where she yanks the old woman's handkerchief out of her throat. Anyone would puke if this stuff was in their mouth, giving her a "reason" to continue binging and purging. Also, when she sells everything she has for help (she needs $10,000.00 - which is a starter fee for an ED clinic - and a lousy one at that), she sits at her kitchen table, crying with hopelessness, and shoveling ice cream down her throat when all she can scrape together is (I think), $4700.00.
After watching the Shining Theory as well, I have to say I like the tone of the other Video much better, since theorizing has a more, let's call it scientific, vibe to it. This "top 10" music in the background kinda distracts from the content to my mind. But still, liked the video.
I feel you guys are just ripping off film theory.... just not funny?? You could at least give the channel a mention in the notes so it doesn't just look like your making all the theorist gold up your self!?
The ending is obviously not her getting pulled into the depths of hell. It's suicide. Like you stated, she can't cope with her issues and is still 'cursed' after the whole ordeal. She can;t win and decides to take her own life in the end. Why else would it take place on the train tracks? It would also be the conclusion of het story arch
I have the theory that she is actually pregnant, when she tries to get rid of the curse and fail maeby she didn't. Probably the ritual only transfer the curse to the nearest infant or child, like is foreshadowed in the beginning of the movie. This is particularly interesting if you know that in the mitology of the Lamia she prefers babies and kids as her victims, besides women. One of the comments stated that she could have been contemlating for abortion and failed so the train tracks could simbolize a suicide, wich I think it makes my original theory far more plausible and ads a very interesting subtext to the whole movie
