Driving games on PC offer the broadest range of experiences behind the wheel - from pixel-perfect technical sims to fender-bending stunt games. Here are the top 10 driving games on PC.
When you want to push the boundaries of play, Play Advanced with Logitech G.
My favorites are still Race Driver GRID and Dirt 2. Maybe other studios have way more better views, but soul of the mechanics? Classic codemasters forever.
And still the best music menu theme) GRID. And still the best in-game soundtrack - Dirt 2) Love them!
How do you (and many other uploaders) get such high quality videos of sim racing on YouTube? There is obviously a trick, ive tried so many suggestions and no matter what I do my F1 videos in Assetto Corsa look like trash :( p.s just bought a G29 :D love it!
I tried project cars 2...and im glad i didnt buy it...the problem with the sense of speed is immense...youre driving 300kmh its like you rolling 80kmh...the first project cars is way way better in that...
FYI, Assetto Corsa is officially harder than real life. The AI isn't that good either. The career mode is woeful too. Forza 7 is worth a mention despite the AI being 5x worse than Assetto Corsa. Live for Speed is a driving game too. Barely. There's also Wreckfest which is shaping up nicely. DiRT4 is also very good indeed. GRID Autosport is the best in that series and I enjoyed it too. Honestly, having played these games, I wish I had bought Project Cars 2 sooner. Great game and probably the best driving game you can buy right now. Plus the big boi edition is on xmas sale on Steam. Well worth the price IMO.
Project Cars for quantity and Assetto Corsa for better and realistic handling
Euro truck simulator 2 or even UK truck simulator and F1 series, by Codemasters, especially the latest 2016-2018
Agree that gtr2 and gt legends should be there.
Gonna have to check out raceroom.
More classic stuff though is F1 Challenge 99-02, all the GP 2-4 series by Geoff grammond and the classic of them all. Made by the team who have done I-Racing. Grand Prix Legends. From 1998 and Papyrus/Sierra. Which is still played worldwide today, both on and off line. With thousands of free add-ons and mods. Probably the hardest pc game physics to control and play. But taking you back to the nostalgic sixties, with Lotus, Brabham, Cooper and racing drivers like Jim Clark, Graham Hill and on tracks like the original Nurburgh ring, Spa and Kyalami in South Africa. You can even go back to 1955 with Fangio and Moss. Race sports cars and sixties Can am cars. Just outstandingly brilliant and classic racing.
What about steering wheel support. specially FFB features, this is what makes the racing game fantastic, not only the good graphics. why there is no proper video review for the steering wheel and FFB compatability and handling.
good video. im doin research, have checked about 10 today. Most of em just blow. Maybe put the # on each one, but, no big deal. I only had to click back once, lol, forgot what ranking u were on. Max Peace. salute
My Top 5 Favorite Racing Games on PC are...
1. Need For Speed Shift
2. Racedriver: Grid
3. Shift 2 Unleashed
4. Grid 2
5. Street Racing Syndicate
Note: I would Include Assetto Corsa also but I haven’t gotten a chance to play the PC Port of it yet.
the first seconds are a bit odd. i get enjoyement from simple things, but unfortunately the games are overstuffed with nonsense. i get scores, multipliers, other bullshit spammed all over my screen in the most inconvenient and in the most anti-user experience possible, lootboxes, silly progression that is usually more annoying that you know - giving you a sense of progression, constant switching between driving disciplines, because surely you want to switch that ferrari into a jeep and go offroad, some hyperactive companion explaining the most trivial aspects of the game, some bland story with cutscenes that you cant skip etc shoved down my throat. i dont know who asked for these things.
