3rd one in and i relized i definitely have that mint condition darth vader. no i wouldn't sell it for 2,000$. It's Darth Vader!
Crap, i had three of those vinyl caped jawas and hated them! was so excited when i finally got a cloth caped one. i might have to look through my collection. i would totally sell one of those stupid vinyl capes jawas.
I still have the originals from 1978: Luke Skywalker both the one with the light saber and the one as a pilot, Darth Vader (the one in this video), the medical droid (the one on this video), as well as most of the originals from Episode IV (back when it was just Star Wars), and Episodes V and VI. Millennium Falcon, AT-AT, X-Wing, Tie Fighter, A-Wing, R2-D2, C-3PO, Obi-Wan, etc etc. None in the original boxes of course, all used but still in decent condition. Would I sell them? Probably not. I just need to collect them all from my parents house as soon I find a good display in my house to put them together with some other items like a very detailed Star Destroyer I have. I don’t collect them, but might as well display them. Unless somebody offers me thousands of dollars for the entire original set of toys I have, I rather keep them. Cheers
I saw a life-sized cutout of Princess Leia in chains in an antique store about six months before Carrie died. It was priced at about $50, but is probably worth more now. A lady friend of mine called it "decor for a bachelor who wants to stay that way."
The Medical Droid? What? Come on, every star wars kid had that stupid droid, it was the last one on the shelf cause no one wanted it. There's a bunch on ebay right now. Hard to believe a boxed one sold for so much money.
Man I had a friend who hd a BUNCH of the original star wars figures. I cant believe an unpunched hole would cause some moron to pay that much more than a punched one... Like dude I could easily make it look unpunched.
So pissed I had the jaws with plastic cape. And the telescoping Vader, Luke and Obwan. The jawa plastic cape I took off because it looked cheap. I also bit off the thin light saber plastic because I thought I looked weird. I had a friend who’s dad bought one figure to be played with and one kept new in box. I wonder if he ever sold all those.
2:00 "Yak Face... The favorite figure of exactly no one.."?
I had a Yak Face figure when I was a kid and I loved him. He had a benevolent (yak) face. That's why he was more of a good guy in my imagined Star Wars Galaxy. (Even up to the point of becoming an exiled Jedi-Master.)
I remember I searched for years after I accidentally dug the figure in a sandbox in a huge playground near my granny's house, where I plaid as a kid.
I have the original 4 from JCPenny that came in the plastic tray, and FX7 and both double telescoping Luke and VADER. I just found them at my moms. Bespin Leia. All of the figures on this list except Yak Face. What is my childhood worth? Pricele$$
Actually the Boba Fett prototype with the shooting red missile was released but only as an order with upc codes from other purchased Wars figures. I know because when I was a kid I had it. It came in a simple white box and the red missile could be shot.......... I still have it 🤣
Wow the prices on these action figures in totally insane. I just paid $18,000 for a like new 2018 Honda Civic LX and that's a car! I never see myself paying over a hundred dollars for a collectible action figure. I'm not bashing those that pay thousands for their collectibles cause i am a collector of action figures lose, mint in box, vinyl records, cassette tapes, CD's, new and old video games so i know what its like to collect in todays market.
My gosh I need a time machine lol.
I actually had this used as a kid without the cape. back then garage sakes and thrift stores in the 80s were the ONLY way to get toys. Those crappy lightsabers were lame though.
I remember a funny simpsons where homer gets drunk and opens up some sealed star wars figures at an event. Not sure why people hole punched. Also out of package 5 bucks. Amazing how moc is so much valuable.
Stupid kids ruin everything. Even super soakers.
Fact: We didn't get the Boba Fett figure until 2010 as a mail-in exclusive (You have to send in five UPCs and you have to send them by March 31, 2011)...
The one we got has a longer missile and a non-functioning shorter missile.
