Early Warning Signs of Pancreatic Cancer
Diabetes, especially if it comes on suddenly. Recently, the Mayo Clinic published startling research showing that 40 percent of pancreatic cancer patients had been diagnosed with diabetes one to two years before discovering they had a pancreatic tumor. Researchers believe the diabetes is caused by tumors that simply haven't been detected yet. The problem is, diabetes is very common, and the majority of diabetes isn't pancreatic cancer, so doctors are trying to develop screening tools to tell the difference. Right now, they say family history is an important clue. If you're diagnosed with diabetes that seems to come on suddenly and you have no family history of diabetes, bring this to your doctor's attention and ask for further screening for pancreatic cancer.
Yellowing of the eyes or skin. Even a small pancreatic tumor can block the bile duct in the head of the pancreas, causing bile to build up. This causes jaundice.
Itchy skin, palms, and soles of feet. A little-known side-effect of jaundice is itchy hands and feet. It's due to a skin reaction to the bilirubin, the yellowish brown liver chemical that causes jaundice.
Lack of appetite. An Italian study found that six to eight months before being diagnosed with pancreatic tumors, patients reported a sudden drop in their appetite and a tendency to feel full after eating very little.
Changes in taste. In the same Italian study, some of the patients surveyed said they'd suddenly lost their taste for coffee, wine, and smoking. In fact, they said, they felt "disgust" for the smell and taste of coffee and alcohol.
Abdominal pain. Pancreatic cancer sufferers remember this pain as a gnawing pain, rather than a sharp cramp or ache, and it radiates toward the back. A characteristic clue: the pain goes away when you lean forward.
An enlarged gall bladder. The same blockage of the bile duct that causes jaundice can also cause an enlarged gallbladder, as the bile builds up behind the duct. The good news is that an enlarged gallbladder can be seen on imaging tests, and it may even be possible for a doctor to feel it during a physical exam.
Pale, floating, smelly stools. If a pancreatic tumor prevents digestive enzymes from reaching the intestine, the result is an inability to digest fatty foods. So you end up with loose, smelly "floaters" as a result of the excess fat. Doctors say this symptom, in particular, can be an early clue and is too often overlooked.
Dark, tarry stools. Bleeding in the upper intestines causes this symptom.
Sudden, unexplained weight loss. Weight loss is not always, as many people mistakenly believe, a sign of advanced cancer that's spread to the liver. It can also happen because a lack of pancreatic enzymes is causing fat to pass through the body undigested.

Veracoline I think I've spelt that wrong. But that condition on males on the right side of the testical but Not the left side. On the right side it needs investigation. I'm currently having investigation it.
I just lost my cousin this month WALLY..one of the greatest men in the world..and as a kid i lost my one of a kind beautiful Mother to pancreatic cancer...well pancreatic cancer you may have won the Battle but you didnt win the war...im coming for you..i will always make sure your in my sights pancreatic cancer...you are the worst and i want you to know..watch out im warning and educating every1 about you😥😕↙
My first symptom was pale stools. Since I was BRCA 2, I knew it could be a sign of Pancreatic Cancer. I immediately made an appt with a gastroenterologist, after a visit to my GP. I had lost some weight but had been dieting. It took 4 mos to get a CT, which was negative. We found I had Bile Acid Malabsorption as well as I was using only 10% of my fat. I was losing weight yet eating anything I wanted. I was put on Pancreatic enzymes, which stopped the weight loss. After 6.5 mos, they told me I may never know the cause. Two mos later, I had terrible gastric pain and a blood test was ordered. My liver enzymes had gone crazy. They finally ordered an ERCP. It was PC. I was dx'd at a Stage 2. I immediately was put on neo adjuvant therapy for several months. We attempted a Whipple 4 mos later but the small tumor was attached to a major blood vessel. They closed me up and after recovery, I began chemo/radiation. Four mos later, I had a successful Whipple (the tumor peeled off the vessel). Unfortunately, three of fifteen peripancreatic lymph nodes lit up. Three months later, my CA 19-9 went up over 1000 ui/L. An MRI revealed six small tumors in my liver. Back on chemo. Had the tumor molecularly tested. Tumor caused by the BRCA 2 gene. Tumors shrunk while on chemo but the chemo only works for a few months normally. Went looking for a trial for PARP inhibitors. Found one still accepting patients in Arizona at a major cancer center. I did not qualify for the trial but was able to get the drug off label. I have been on it for 3 mos. Only two mets are measurable, another can be seen but not measurable and the others can no longer be seen. All are stable. I am now one year out from my Whipple. I see the Pancreatic cancer specialist in AZ once a month. I plan only a couple of mos forward. It's kind of crazy to live this way but it is what it is. So far, the PARP inhibitor, Lymparza, is working. I have at least two other options should it stop working. Both men and women need to be aware that the BRCA gene defects can also cause pancreatic cancer, as well as prostate, melanoma, breast, and ovarian cancers. I was the first in my family to have pancreatic cancer so be wary of the Johns Hopkins study to the contrary. Someone has to be the first. My liver mets cannot be seen on CT. They only show up on MRI
I have itchy hand and i have bubbels on my hands and if i pop it some trasparant sticky stuff comes out of it. I already had it a year ago but then it went away but now its back. Can someone tell me if this is somerhing to worry about?
After fruit or chocolate or sweet potato I get pain down there and blurry vision.
1. Blurry vision after eating
2. Leaking oil from anus
4. Weight loss extreme
5. Dark cuticles
6. Heavy undigested stools
7. Brain fog
Doctor says it's PTSD...
And for all the people that suffer from this or chronic pancreatitis, you can thank donald trump for taking your pain meds away or tapering them...for many of us trump is making life unbearable and barely worth living. Think about your loved ones next election time. Vote that monster out!! Let us live with less pain and some dignity. Please vote with your loved ones or yourself in mind. This is not fair to law abiding citizens in pain. Go after the drug labs not our Drs and pharmacists because trump lacks the ability to punish the real criminals , don't hurt sick people.
Interestingly enough, autoimmune pancreatitis mimics pancreatic cancer. My primary care Dr was almost certain I had PC. I lost 35 pounds quickly and had a horrible deep pain in my abdomen- even though I'm on fentanyl! I had an MRI, CT scan and finally an endoscopic ultrasound and the head of the pancreas was fat, the bile ducts were dilated, and the pancreas barely functioned. The tell tale signs was my IGG4 was not abnormal and I had no jaundice. I was given Prednisone and digestive enzymes and it went into remission. It bothers me at times but nothing like it was! I pray it never comes back! Bless those we've lost to PC.
Years ago, My best friends sister was diagnosed with PC and was gone 6 Months later. She was only 37 and had 2 small children-her
Last months were unbearable for her with the pain, and unimaginable for her mother and family to watch. It’s absolutely heartbreaking to know so many others have similar stories.
By not real doctors I'm not saying they didn't spend years studying and I'm not saying they didn't work hard but they do take an oath to do no harm and once they have broken that Earth and they're deliberately writing out scripts from meds that they know can damage the organs or the brain and where kill people they should lose their license big changes are coming you see what's going on in the news THE MOST are starting to fall it started with Harvey Weinstein and now you see how people are turning against the head of Russia who would have ever thought this is just the beginning all the masks are coming off of everyone there is no place to hide those who have been good decent people have nothing to worry about the more rotten people have been the more they will suffer from the exposure of how truly despicable they really are they're going to have to face a lot of angry people and it's almost the equivalent of the French Revolution but on a different level.. people are finally starting to wake up and they are revolting against those who are revolting, harmful "human beings".
Doctors who have allowed themselves to be COMPROMISED by writing out DANGEROUS SCRIPTS DESERVE what they're going to get and believe me it is not going to be ayurvedic or Chinese medicine practitioners, it's not going to be your acupuncturist and it's not going to be osteopaths or many naturopaths.
... it's going to be those who have gone along with the DARK GAME.
The government puts street drug dealers in jail... why have NONE of these MURDERERS in BIG PHARMA gone to JAIL yet ?
It's okay for them to pay out a HALF-BILLION dollar in a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT for KILLING people?
When are THEY going to go to PRISON ?
My answer : watch the news ...it's going to start happening... the DOMINO EFFECT has only JUST BEGUN .
Julius Caesar... the reason you can't find doctors to diagnose this is because a lot of them DON'T really KNOW the human BODY OR MEDICINE anymore . MANY are BIG PHARMA DOCS.. they are not real doctors.. they get KICKBACKS from wealthy pharmaceutical companies : they GET PAID to WRITE SCRIPTS and the more this happens the LESS we're going to have REAL DOCTORS who LOVE PEOPLE and want them to BE WELL.
I try to stay away from Big Pharma doctors and go with naturopaths and osteopaths Chinese medicine and or ayurvedic practitioners...the ones who REALLY try to HEAL you with herbs, roots and know that the body always TRIES to HEAL ITSELF but might need a little bit of help.
Those who want to GET RICH being doctors should have worked on WALL STREET or become Bankers... same thing anyway.
Since a image test detected a tumor on my pancreas (IPMN branch tumor) I started reading. One "last ditch" treatment for a failing pancreas is called the "whipple procedure". The whipple procedure totally reroutes your digestive tract and is the most invasive/intense surgical procedure in everyday use. It could take 6 months to learn just how your body wants to be fed after a whipple procedure. I certainly hope I never need it.
Develop a liquid that will take a holographic screen of your entire body, right down to the macroscopic blood vessel.
Simplify what needs to be seen, and you shall see what happens inside a patient's body in *real time* The fluid provides markers for the the computer to make an accurate portrayal of what goes on inside your body. A new technology to replace MRI or CT scans.
Hello everyone I lost my husband 8years ago due to pancreatic cancer and he was just a young man we were only married 2years and he has the Whipple op on him and he went through chemo treatment and he last a year after going through everything he was 45 years old too young to go
My mother became forgetful the year before her diagnosis, unusual for her. And mild pain after she ate which she ignored for a year. She had pancreatic cancer of the acinar cells. It was advanced when she had tests. I think she lived three months after diagnosis. Chemo was useless and made her sick. She had a lot of care and pain meds. My dad died three weeks after she did. I took care of them while they were dying together. at home. He had leukemia. It was really good to go to meetings with other caregivers, facilitated by the hospice company.
Rez, I have been thinking of you and I don't want to impose, but I am praying for your healing and will continue to do so. I am speaking your name to Jesus. As to your questions, my mother was in Florida for the winter and I do not know all her symptoms. She was keeping them to herself! But she said she had pain in her stomach about an hour after she ate anything, and that pain became more noticeable in time. That was the main symptom, and she had cancer of the acinar cells which is a little unusual. She went to a doctor and he diagnosed her fairly quickly in Florida, and she came home and saw another specialist for poison chemo therapy. The sad thing is that her brother and mother also died of pancreatic cancer, and she looked at me one day and said, "I wonder who will be next."
I have to run right now, but I feel a burden to command your healing today in the name of Jesus. Jesus can heal everything. I have a lot of faith, and I want you to trust Jesus, not me, of course. I could not command my mother's healing, because the Lord said it was their time, and he took both my parents together. but I did command my father to be healed of Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia ten years earlier, and he was healed. And I prayed for a woman with a liver tumor, and it disappeared. Get around people of power and faith, and command this to be healed. I am old and I like help with my prayers.
fuck god . Fuck him for not preventing good people from getting pancreatic cancer. Only nasty and rude people should get pancreatic cancer, nice people shouldn't get it. The fact that nice people gets it shows that God is evil , and we humans should fight him. We humans deserve to live a life that is fair. Come everyone! let's start the fight against god , this evil being who made us what we are today
Sorry tablet and cat not great mix about a week later yellowing in her eyes. Hospital that day and diagnosed pancreatic cancer..an attempt at a stent to allow drainage failed, The exit of her stomach was smaller then a thin drinking straw, so that failed, from first noticed sign something was wrong. Mom passed all within 30 days.
My mom lived 10 months after being diagnosed. My dad died a year later just 20 days after he was diagnosed. So, now my sister is freaked out because both of our biological parents died of pancreatic cancer. They had gotten divorced when I was 5 so it probably wasn't an environmental exposure that caused it. Hard to say for sure. Mom was diagnosed with dermatomyositis a few years before the cancer diagnosis. They may be related but Dad didn't have anything like that. Anyway, we all have to die of something. Cancer sucks but so does heart disease, multiple sclerosis, getting hit by a bus, getting in a plane crash, etc.
My mom was diagnosed two months ago. She is very sick. She is doing chemo right now. She was healthy here entire life. She didn’t drink or smoke and she exercised regularly. She is 75. It’s heartbreaking.
how scary...so very sorry :( One friend of mine has it, so far it's been two yrs but now everything is starting to shut down and I have held her crying due to she's only about 80lbs if that..she is also diabetic...she takes the medical marijuana daily in pill form...sad thing is her dad is dying of this and so is her brother, he just got put on the night meds to keep him comfotable until he says the permanent goodbye...her dr told her that hers is genetic...she goes on the support pages facebook has for pancreatic cancer..been a big help for my friend..again so very sorry...prayers for you as you go thru this..
John Bomb yep. My mom was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis ending of july 2017 after her gall bladder removal. Kept feeling sick even after the removal, not eating, vomiting, loosing weight. All they kept saying is acute pancreatitis. Then she went to jackson memorail which is part of the university of miami and that's where they diagnosed her in Oct of 2017. I encourage folks who is experienced some of these symptoms to go get checked and always get a 2nd opinion.
Awesome @ KEN COOPER I also was dx with cancer in 2012 but I was dx with Ovarian cancer stage 3c (late stage) usually women dx with ovarian are late stage. I'd met a woman with stage 4 during my chemo. I as well worry about a recurrence, as every year I have to take a blood test called CA-125 cancer antigen 125 and it has to be below 35. Stay strong sir, as I'm sure your comment will inspire so many people.
corey hedges relax since 9 out of 10 everyone here is cancer free. These symptoms require no explanation in other words come out of nowhere with no reason why. Even the diabetes comes from nowhere like for example you don't eat a lot of sweets but get diabetes.
Corey hedges": No Corey your not the only one it scares the shit out of ,it scares the shit out of me 24/7 I was informed some years ago now That I had Bladder cancer and I had 12 weeks to live(this news was from the best uro-surgeon in the state, the news hit me like Mohamed Ali and I went home and cried for the first time in my life.and said "why me?but this wonderful surgeon saved my life after another excellent surgeon could not.I knew this other surgeons work intimately as well ,but currently I have been in remission 16 years Thank-God, but I still worry it will come back (My cancer was bladder C,A, cured with a total cystectomy and ileo -conduit ,not good to live with but least I exist, not live, there is a difference?
My grandfather died of pancreatic cancer. He was 82 yrs old and we honestly thought he was going to live well into his 90s or even 100. He seemed so healthy and was always active and just seemed so much younger than his age, and then one day he started talking about how his stomach wasnt feeling well, he didnt have much of an appetite anymore. I kept telling my parents; "oh, its probably the flu. Im sure he'll feel better soon." That was wishful thinking. Not long after his complaints of an upset stomach, we found out he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. It was very shocking for us and very quick. 3 months after his diagnosis, he passed away. It was really like that saying; 'here today... gone tomorrow'. Sometimes I still cant believe hes gone. It was Jan. 12, 2013. ;(
I'm scared! I have the itchy sink on my palms and fingers on both hands and my doctor has said that it's not this!! But I do not have the "soles of feet" thing and I don't know if I do have this cancer or not!!! My mom has dealed with breast cancer but she survived and I'm not sure if it happens to there kids or something! I just need more information about me maybe having this or not!! Can someone please please please tell me in the comments!! I'm scared and I don't want cancer!!
The itching is really all over the body from the jaundice, not just soles and palms. The skin yellows and the whites of the eyes turn yellow. I would not worry about it. There are also a lot of other symptoms, not just itching.
I’d doubt your thoughts without other symptoms. Also if itching is only local to your hands. Anxiety isn’t helping you. It can make you stressed and release cortisol and and histamines and upset your stomach. Digestion problems through anxiety are well documented. If you have itchy hands consider products frequently in contact with your skin. Lotions, moisturisers, (contain lanolin to which people can be allergic) bleach, cleaning products, washing up liquids, dry hands from frequent washing? Use rubber gloves, and a hypoallergenic fragrance free moisturiser for dry skin. Also check your finger webs where fingers join hand body, wrists and palms for tiny red bumps or rash / papules. If the itching is worse at night or after hot water you could have scabies. Scratching will spread this eventually to axillae, arms and torso. It’s treatable with permethrin lotion. See your doctor if you feel this is the case. Get some reassurance from him or your pharmacist. I’m sure you’re worrying excessively. X
Most and many people forgot that human is NOT just a robot, not just machenical body, combine with various chemicals, fluids, bones, and flesh. Take over the control, We could and should treat, heal, and strenghten the thinking, the system value, the attitude, the opinion, the belief, the mind, the soul, or whatever people may have been referred. All these will strengthen the immunity system throughout, and liberate onself from most illnesses. Best wish. Altc
cannabis oil will kill cancer you have to eat the oil everyday all day for at least 90 to 120 days...everyone should know about this...it also lowers blood pressure, lowers cholesterol and helps with diabetes..check out run from the cure and phoenix tears
My father was diabetic. He also had pancreatic cancer. He ended up having the surgery called the Whipple surgery. He lasted nine months. He ate very healthy and exercised. I don’t understand why some of us just get it. I was told by the oncologist that pancreatic cancer takes years and years to develop. We need better advanced screening for this.
Mia CW I just remember looking at my dad because we lived so close together I’m realizing he was losing a tremendous amount of weight very fast. He was thinking that it was just wonderful because he was exercising and taking care of himself so much that he felt good about it almost. And then one night he came to my house and said Mary I think somethings wrong because I keep getting this pain in my stomach that’s pretty sharp, and a lot of acid was coming up in the back of his throat. I decided right then and there to take him to the emergency room even though he said he could wait until morning. Eight hours later after a lot of testing I was told with him where the cancer was. There’s a lot of information online about it but from what I understand the end of the pancreas called the head is pretty common area for it to occur. He was 71 years old, healthy, and ready to get rid of it. After the surgery was the chemo and radiation. Chemo was easy, radiation was horrible. The first oncologist in my opinion was an idiot. The second oncologist just seemed really determined to help my father. It was almost like they had a connection. I went through quite a few doctors because I wasn’t going to let my father just settle. Cancer is in everyone’s body it’s when it becomes activated it becomes dangerous. I also believe where you live, what you do every day, the atmosphere, there’s so many things that take apart and our lives for it to become activated. I remember Patrick Swayze had cancer with no kids and a lot of money and even he died. There’s many areas of the pancreas that we can get cancer from. In my opinion it’s a sneaky silent cancer. I’m very sorry about your family member.
They wouldn't even give my mom surgery. Even when she was diagnosed early! How did your dad get diagnosed? What were his symptoms? Did he have spreading and after the surgery they did not get it all? They told my mom it was stage three and could not tell us if she had any spreading or not but refused to to surgery even when I begged them. He just said it was a really hard surgery to heal from and very serious and that the surgery would put off chemo for maybe even months and he felt she should start chemo right away.
My father passed away 20 years ago on saturday from pancreatic cancer. 11-11-11-1997 -11th day of the 11th month of the 11th hour in 1997. He was 53 years old and gave him 6 month and he faught like hell to make it a year. I was 10 years old and ive never seen anything like it before. What a horrible disease.
Well I just watched a lady on youtube that would take cannabis oil and did the healthy diet, juicing ect. Well she is dead now. If this is the case everyone in Canada and areas it's allowed would be cured right?
Good informative video, the comments on 'acid reflux' I think, are very important
I hadn't heard much about pancreatic cancer until my darling, Elaine, love of my life and partner of 28 years was diagnosed with this awful disease. She died only five weeks after diagnosis! Her dismissive, incompetent doctor had prescribed generic acid reflux medication in the preceding months and although she had complained several times, that doctor did not think scientifically as someone involved in the science of medicine should.
Elaine swam every day and lived a full, busy life and the only sign of this well established cancer was her reduction in food intake and the occasional acid reflux.
After waiting on the results of tests for a couple of weeks, we were taken into a side room at the hospital where a poor young doctor had the task of informing us about the terrible diagnosis.
The expression on the doctor's face told us more than her words.
I felt angry, confused, powerless and terrified all at the same time. God knows how Elaine must have felt.
We just clung to each other. And naively, we clung to the possibility of successful treatments - the Whipple procedure was quickly discounted. The cancer had already spread to the liver and the lungs.
I googled frantically, finding stories of miraculous cures with the 'Cyberknife', various drugs and even quackery such as turmeric, cannabis oil and meditation. Anything to bolster Elaine's determinedly courageous and optimistic attitude. I did not mention the facts as I found them. They were horrific, ugly facts.
Over the next few weeks, Elaine's appetite for food became mere tokenism. An iced lolly here, a couple of grapes there. Elaine was a very strong person. A strength that came from her love of humanity. I can truly honestly say she hadn't a bad word for anyone. An uncommon and special, gentle quality.
I saw Elaine sometimes standing by the bed, bent over in a position that she felt gave her relief from the pain. She would lie down for a few moments only to rise again and return to her standing position. This went on until one night, I was asked into a room alone. A nurse told me that more blood clots were forming in Elaine's lungs. She said that she could treat the clots with Heparin, an anticoagulant but that this would be in such high doses that it could lead to internal bleeding. She said that suffocation due to blood clots in the lungs would be extremely distressing for all concerned, including Elaine. I felt an awful rising panic and blurted out, 'So you're saying we should let her bleed to death?' The nurse looked at me in consenting silence. I shut up.
I've have never known such a feeling of complete and utter devastation.
Elaine was exhausted in the final few days - a lack of oxygen from blood loss. And on the final day, I washed her hair in the morning. She just flopped over the little sink in our room in the hospice with barely the energy to hold her head up. That night as I knelt by her bed, trying to quietly sing one of her favourite songs - all I could manage was a truly pathetic, near silent, tearful rendition of 'Singing in the Rain', Elaine died in my arms.
I spent the entirety of the next four years in the depths of despair and extreme alcoholism.
Now, it's almost six years since that terrible night and I've been sober for the last two. I will never drink again. It made everything worse and I think I was merely committing a very slow form of suicide, a cowards way out.
It might be a good idea if we spent a fewer billions on sports and more on cancer research. I mean, we don't rattle tins to collect money for our celebs and sports people. No, we rattle tins in the street to collect money for cancer research. I think we've got it the wrong way around. We really need to get our priorities sorted out here.
Upsilon TwentyThirteen there is the American Cancer Research Society which finds many researchers for cancer but doesn't find a lot for childhood cancers or pancreatic. I urge you to tell them to get their bs straight. I am sad for you and I am sure elaine was even more sad to see you so sad. She is pain free now and she will see you again someday.
Most of the time. The drug company really don't put 100% of finding cure for any kind of cancer but rather developed expensive drug for treating cancer.
Because if cure for cancer is developed then those company will not make much monies.
Upsilon TwentyThirteen I’m sooo sorry for your loss...praying you will together someday in heaven. God bless you...you sound like a amazing husband and man...she was blessed to have you. So glad you gave up alcohol....try to find happiness...she would want that for you.blessings🙏💜
My mom lived for two years with Pancreatic Cancer and the last two months were Horrible, she was always in pain, everything hurt ,breathing, moving around.I HATE CANCER.She did not have those symptoms, her stomach was big and would not go down, please people just go and see a doctor, she passed in 2009 and it still hurts today.I lost two wonderful people in my life,my mom and my daughter, she had a brain tumor and she was 12,so if you think your not sick just go and get it checked out,God Bless those who are fighting for their lives
Tracy Hubbard omg may God hold you everyday thanks for sharing this it might make people get checked or even help docs find a cure. Not many infos say big bellies are a symptom...I am trying not to think my bloating is cancer but so many cancers have this symptom...esp near stomach... and it just makes me wonder. Have had it for years and it's never gone down my dad thinks it's fat but I feel the bloat. Just a random blob on my belly and I didn't know even the pancreas cancer can cause it. Did your mom say it felt bloated? And if you could can you tell me how she got diagnosed with one symptom...was her belly really big? I am sorry to ask this I'm so selfish...I don't mean to sound the way this sounds. I am just kind of shocked she had one symptom...bless her soul.
Oh, bollocks. Herbalists, homepaths, etc... etc... are also in business to make money. I know too many people who have died from cancers that could have been treated because they went to alternative "healers".
My father had this form of Cancer. It was too far along once it was detected. It only took a month afterward. He was only 56 when he passed on. He struggled with constipation and abdominal pain for years. He was diabetic and was not aware of it. He never went to a doctor so he was never diagnosed with diabetes until he was dying. I miss him every day but I did not like watching him suffer from this terrible disease. RIP. Eugene Pitre.
Mark Pitre I am 27 have jaundice and itching everywhere and ibs. I fear this cancer along with others it's made me a hypochondriac according to my dad. Diabetes negative but gosh my gut just hurts and constipation is ugh. Docs need to find this crap sooner. No more late stages....
Reality is that even these symptoms aren't actually very early relative to the prognosis of pancreatic cancer. Rather, if you happen to get a CT scan and there is a small tumor on the pancreas, it's maybe possible to surgically remove it. But you also don't want to get CT scanned frequently just for this scenario to be covered. In fact, if you went for an abdominal CT scan every year, you would probably end up with a higher chance of getting a cancer from the CT scan itself. It occurs to me that with the huge money spent in the USA on health care, it should be possible to find a way to do low cost MRI with some sophisticated software that can do comparative delta MRI processing to detect any changes from last time and pinpoint a possible tumor including a pancreatic one in it's very early stage. Or what? Imagine a healthcare system where we get a quick MRI scan every 6 months. Is it crazy? Well, how often do you change oil on your car and how long does that take? Seriously speaking, an MRI scan should be faster than an oil change and should be possible to automate more than an oil change. Perhaps you stand up and the MRI is vertical instead of horizontal. It comes down around you and takes only a few minutes to complete. The online booking and the entire process is 100% automated. And the images taken are entirely processed by AI keeping the cost down and the learning highly efficient (builds up on a national or even international level). We might find great cures for cancer in the future not destroying our bodies, but the best cure is always complete removal done early. Anyway, think about this next time you bring your car to an oil change. Am I right?
Mia CW for now on leave asap if a doc is obviously worthless you have to be the number1 advocate for you and your loves. Heck my family don't care like I do about my health and mock my symptoms got jaundice, itching, bloated stomach, stomach pain, constipation for years...but unlike docs they don't know symptoms.
Thinkingbetter problem is what some webpage calls gadolineum. I just want prices to go down it's ridiculous to charge someone to talk for 100 bucks lmao.
Mia CW--i sure understand your anger about how your mom was treated--is it permitted on this site to share the name of the Dr.s and the hospital(s) both good ones & the bad? The more we know, maybe it will change who is in charge of giving us the best possible care......
And what if they are not even looking for tumors in the pancreas then they might not see it. My mom got mutplie scan because she kept having this really bad pain and losing a lot of weight and they kept saying they don't see anything wrong and were treating her bad and acting annoyed like she was lying or something like she was a hypochondriac but then she went to someone different and paid a lot of money for their testing and after so many doctors and CT scans this lady found it! She said it was so hard to see but she found it then sent my mother to a horrible doctor who did nothing for six months. I'm not saying it was because he was young but he was a very young doctor and he acted scared to do surgery and they kept sending my mom for testing going through her mouth and chopping on it and the test kept coming back no cancer so he kept saying we don't know if it's cancer or not so you can't start chemo or operate so then after six months of this his nurse pulled my mom to the side and said you have to leave he is not helping you. So my mom and I found a doctor and he is consider one of the best in the US which we later found out and the first thing he did was admit my mom for an infection which the previous doctor just kept telling my mom the swelling in her legs was nothing but the new doctor said it was from an infection in the stomach and my mom had dangerous low blood sugar. So he put my mom on medicine and a feeding tube for about a week and a half then did surgery opening her up so he told us it was stage three but who knows six months ago if it was stage two. He said it was not that bad but there might be spreading now so he would not remove it or cut it out but he wanted her to start chemo right away. So I'm so mad because I feel like that we did catch it early enough my mom could have gotten surgery and maybe there was no spreading. That doctor wasted six months with no chemo or surgery and he kept telling my mom we can't start chemo tell we know if it's cancer or not, he was just scared to open my mom up and do surgery. The other doctor did it right away! Also I am mad at the other doctor too because he said they think there is spreading now but could not tell me for sure and refused to take the tumor out or cut part of the pancreas out. He said it was because it would take so long to heal and put chemo off but when he opened my mom up to get to the tumor it took her so long to heal from that surgery and she was in the hospital so long. It was about a month then he still put it off anyways! She did not even get chemo started tell two months after the surgery anyways! I am just so confused, angry and sad. I feel they did not give a fuck about my mom or me or what we were going through and most of the nurses and some of the doctors were mean assholes anyway! Like if you don't care about patients and their lives then get the fuck out of this business!
Any radiation is bad radiation!!! We are drowning plastics, all the foam, styrofoam, and synthetic materials are ubiquitous, and are designed to slow kill every living thing...
It really just make sense to "afford" ourselves back to the basics like natural fibers, herbal medicine, and clean, unadulterated unpolluted air, food, and water... which are all designed to heal, cure, or prevent most of these "modern" diseases.
