I made this video! Hi, my name is Skylent and I hope you had fun!
This is my gaming channel where I stream, do reviews & first impressions, and also learn/teach on topics focused around video game culture. If you are a gamer like me, then follow along lets go on an adventure!
sentinel units are described as anti-air, bit its mostly both ground and air. It's the most powerful spammy unit of the terrans. If you can spam sentinels, spam the hell out of them because they are mechs and thus also act as tanks. Tanky anti-air and anti-ground unit makes it a deadly combo. Also never sell units unless you really have to. Otherwise you are wasting a lot of resources for meager gain. Never summon an airborne troop drop ship in the middle of the combat, always do it behind the front lines cause otherwise you loss alot of the troops if it gets shot down or the units are killed the instant they land. Lastly, for the love of god, don't spam human units at end game, only mechs because human units like the rifle/crossbow/etc get insta-killed by the enemy waves.
that's a pretty nooby strat tho. and easily beat with a number of troops but most easily by arhat units
arhats behind vajirs easily beats this spam strat.
also selling units is a vital part of the game , as you build to pop cap 1st then slowly replace troops with stronger troops after your 2nd mine upgrade you start to swap out useless tier 1 troops for end game units.

I've never heard of Little War Game but if it is actually a "Full Fledged" RTS I'll have to check it out Hope you have a vid already. =)
But please go play Total Annihilation so you can see & feel the chaos of a REAL RTS is like.
This game looks like it's just a heroless MOBA where you let the minions run wild, where the only real strategy is to Counter like when people choose MOBA heros at the beginning of a match or in fighting games.. At least until there are so many units on the screen that it doesn't really matter. Wave based gameplay with little interaction also makes it seem like one of those Copy & Paste style Facebook games that play themselves, but with slightly more interaction since you get to choose your minions & faction abilities. Tho I will say I kinda like leveling into new units, but that's nothing new.
Jump at the letters RTS always looking for good ones. But as you mentioned RTS games are waning, but not because people aren't playing them, more because people don't make them. There have been very few Full RTS games released in the last 5 years. Everything else calling itself RTS have been games like this that only use and/or focus on a few RTS mechanics, or junk like Facebook games where gameplay is literally logging on just to start a timer then logging off for like 12 hours to do something else.
In my opinion all these "Light RTS" games hurt RTS as a whole because there are so many different variants that no one remembers what it even is anymore so if they hated something like Evony (Facebook Timer Game) they may not check out this game or a RTT, or an SBT or all these other types of "Light RTS" that no one tags their games as. >.<
I'm glad to see the genre is still alive, but (as you might be able to tell) I really wish all the variants wouldn't just use the blanket term RTS to describe themselves. -.- This is a game I would probably never play after knowing the madness of a Full Scale RTS
I haven't watched a ton of gameplay of that one. It kinda felt more like they were trying to cash in on the former glory of the name like many popular titles do today. I hope those other two won't be the same. =/
Last RTS I bought was Planetary Annihilation, which failed thanks to the devs splitting promised content into a second game subtitled Titans. I think more unique RTS are good. I'm very interested in the new Warhammer RTS and also Halo Wars 2.
+Skylent Shore thanks for the quick response man if you ever make another video on this I would love to see the PVP apparently there's 1v1 mode now. I'm interested to see how much skill is involved and the balance of the game.
