Singapore is Coming Alive

3078 ratings | 148312 views
It was once known as a place where people went to work, rather than play - but a lot has changed. Singapore now boasts six of the world's best bars, 47 Michelin stars, and a vibrant mix of cultures. Singapore was more alive when it was a kampong. Now everyone is addicted to social media and artificial living. Everyone is getting more dead inside as this country grows "alive".

Why is it illegal to rent out private homes in Singapore?
Ёбать вас в рот, Why did you make the video about Singapore and forget about great policy of Lee Kuan Yew, who turned a poor country into a huge and wealthy one? this is shame, it`s disrespect for their struggle!

Singapore was not founded in 1965. It just became independant in 1965. Singapore was founded at 1299. Back then it was called Singapura, which is the malay name for Singapore. In the 1810s Raffles came to singapore, and renamed singapura to singapore. In 1960, Singapore became part of malaysia, and in 1965 Singapore became independant.

A semi-communist concrete jungle run by corporates to funnel their taxes, living off tolerant hard working locals, drained of any culture and replaced by one influenced by their American masters. It isn't boring if you are not one of many slaves stuck living there and feeding those leeching rulers and their business oligarch masters.

Singapore has the longest "healthy" life expectancy in the world at 76.2 ( 74.8 Japan is second and 68.5 for the USA) . Alcohol and sugar consumptions in Singapore are among the lowest in the world.

Cosmo 99 (1 month ago)
Secret Wars well Singapore is the size of a pebble compared to most other countries. It's really easy to manage such a small area. Places like The US and China are some of the most difficult to manage due to their sheer size.

I like Singapore 🇸🇬 I had decent fun & chill time there, not boring but honestly taxi drivers couldn’t stop talking about how tax system works, also most people were nice but at early morning some felt like zombies it was a very depressing morning that time when I had the most cringing quite morning in the middle of crowded bus station near some medical center at mid week, so quite that I could hear my fingers touches on that small bus ticket, will never forget that surreal morning it was oddly beautiful the sky was vanilla violet just few beams of shine reflecting through a soaring modern architecture full of plants felt like a the end of an apocalypse tbh 😌😅✨

this video just showcases the rich, extravagant, opulent side of singapore that appeals to expats and tourists, such as bars, fancy restaurants, hotels, casinos. I see no mention of more the local and accessible sides of the country like the hawker culture or nature reserves, etc

Easy to manage when your country is slightly larger than typical resort islands. Singapore is expensive as fuck tho even for the locals. Cars and houses are extremely expensive. It's a modern small island filled with high rises, pretty similar to Manhattan. If you're into beautiful beaches, mountains and thick rainforests then Singapore is not the right place to visit.
Austin Dylan (1 month ago)
If there is 1 city that will mandatorily micro chip it's people, Singapore will definitely be the first city/state to make this happen, paving the way for the tyrannical New World Order. It's citizens are the most docile on the planet & will never revolt against tyranny.

To all that replied to my post: Google "refused entry to Singapore" and read some of the posts. It appears that application of their rules is inconsistent. It also seems that the profiling criteria is a mysterious and secretive process that isn't revealed to travelers even if they are detained. Its really a shame because we were regularly going there to enjoy the city and shop.
J.R. Regenold (1 month ago)
Every person has the right not to visit a country and I do choose not to try to enter again. I never contacted my embassy about this, because its not their right to interfere. After the cost of this denied entry...aboutl 700USD, I will continue to be the petulant child and not go to Singapore again. I can find other places to go that welcome my wife and I without a hassle. It would be nice if Singapore would share their Super Secret Profiling Rules so that people don't waste time and money trying to visit and spend their tourist money.
kageyamareijikun (1 month ago)
J.R. Regenold Every sovereign state has the right to deny entry to any foreigner/alien. We are not obligated to disclose the details or reasons to you. Entry into Singapore is not an automatic right. Just as Singapore has the right to refuse you entry, you as an individual have the right not to choose to come here. Your embassy cannot intervene as technically you were stopped at the borders and not allowed into the country’s territory yet. But ok continue being a bitter petulant child.

Dear bloomberg, As a Singaporean, I am disappointed after watching this video. Here are some reasons why: 1. Historically inaccurate (“ONLY founded in 1965”. Ever heard of Sang Nila Utama?) 2. Wrong abt demographics (half of Singapore population non-Singaporeans. Really?) 3. Blatant disregard for life of different types of Singaporeans (because apparently the rest of us can afford fine-dining and five-star hotels) 4. Linking happiness & greatness to bars and non-halal restaurants, obviously catering to upper class expats and tourists 5. Glorification of controversial colonial history via Raffles

If your idea of fun is spending a lot of money then Singapore definitely looks like a fun place. There is no shortage of expensive restaurants and expensive shopping centers. But what if you don't have a lot of money? Say you have an income of 60,000 Singapore Dollars per year. Is Singapore a nice place to live for the average man?

Singapore is definitely for tourism but I wouldn’t want to live there based on experience. I worked there for only a year & it stressed me out..
you guys are confusing japan, korea, etc with singapore. singapore is welcoming of immigration unlike japan and other places who don't and are actually overworking. significant amount of workload is removed thanks to this. america is far more overworked these asian countries, the problem with asian countries is not overworking but cramping huge amount of work in few hours.

It's the Bahamas of the Asian Countries. Corruption money are used to fund most of the development.
Arist (1 month ago)
It doesn't matter if it's corruption or non corruption money. Capital flows in simply because the tax is the lowest in the region and the country is very very stable both short and long term wise. In other words, being super business friendly will attract a lot of FDI. The financial laws are super conservative despite what ppl here might suggest.
