Hello everyone out there, I'm here to give my testimony about a herbalist doctor who helped me. I was infected with HERPES SIMPLEX VIRUS in 2011, I went to many hospitals to heal myself but there was no solution, so I was thinking how I can get a solution so that my body can be well. One day I was in the river thinking about where I can go to get a solution. so a lady walked towards me telling me why I'm so sad and I open everything by telling her my problem, she told me she could help me, she introduced me to a doctor who uses herbal medicines to cure the SIMPLEX HERPES VIRUS and gave me your email, so I sent you an email. He told me everything I had to do and also gave me instructions to take, which I followed correctly. Before I knew what was happening after two weeks, the SIMPLEX HERPES VIRUS that was in my body disappeared. therefore, if you also have a broken heart and need help, you can also send an email to {oliha.miraclemedicine@gmail.com}or whatsapp him number: +2349038382931 or Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/drolihamiraclemedicine/ Contact him today and he will have a testimony ... Good luck! Dr. OLIHA also cures: 1. HIV / AIDS 2. HERPES 1/2 3. CANCER 4. ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) 5. Hepatitis B 6. chronic pancreatic 7. emphysema 8. COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)

My grandma had a cold sore before but she really doesn't know about how it's herpes and that she can spread it even when there's no symptoms and yesterday she kissed my baby sister but she doesn't have a cold sore now but it's not like it was a tongue kiss it was just a small peck but I didn't have the heart to tell her that she could give her the virus even without symptoms...my question is do you think my little sister will get a cold sore from it?
I mean for fucks sake 90% of the world has herpes.

Thank you so much!! I have herpes and this really helps with my journey in accepting the virus. It's definitely shameful to admit to people but the real positive I have taken away from this is that STIs are definitely a growing epidemic. Even though people state they're safe you must always take care of your body and make sure you take the necessary precautions to not acquire STI or additional STIs in my instance. Thank you!
Larry Horricks (4 months ago)
you are by no means alone...and im sure have read up on the statistics and realities. 50 - 80 % of adults have some from of Herpes whether HSV1 or 2. We make a big deal of where it resides. If we would start calling "Cold Sores" what it is ORAL HERPES maybe that who help break down the stigma of having genital herpes. The W.H.O is predicting that in the next 15 to 20 years, Genital Herpes could easily reach a 1 in 3 rate in the age group of 14 -55...simply because so many people have and dont even know it. When one really thinks about it...on a any level other than social and societal stigma, Herpes is not a big deal. In fact one might say that Oral Herpes is a far bigger deal just because of pure physical appearance. At least Genital herpes isnt outwardly visible. Its all about perception and societal judgement. I wouldnt hesitate to be with someone who had herpes if I had feelings for them and wanted to be with them. One thing about having herpes is it sifts out the real deals from the flakes when it comes to being with someone.

ok i don't care about the shame. What about passing it along? if i have herpes and then get a boyfriend how do i have sex with him without giving it to him? its incurable right? so if i cant have sex even with a condom then im fucked
flayuhat (7 months ago)
omgthetablesonfire There is no way to 100% eliminate the chance of transmission because the virus may be contagious at times when there are no symptoms present. There are, however, some things you can do to reduce the chance of transmission: • Know the signs of an approaching outbreak (itching, tingling, etc.) and don't have sex at these times because you will definitely be contagious. • Take viral suppressant medication to reduce the chance of transmission as well as the frequency and severity of outbreaks. • Use condoms. They do NOT prevent transmission but they reduce the risk. • Consider refraining from oral sex (or use dental dams) because oral herpes can transfer to genitals. Males are more likely to transfer herpes to females than the other way around. Herpes is also very common, and it is possible for someone to have herpes and never show symptoms (which can lead to unknown transmission). Therefore, it is completely impossible for anyone who is sexually active with anybody to be 100% sure that they are not at risk of contracting herpes. Oral herpes is particularly common (often given to children during childhood through platonic family contact) and can be transferred unknowingly to genitals during oral sex or even just kissing near the genital area. Also, anytime you share food or kiss someone, you put yourself at risk for oral herpes.

why is different just because where it resides...your perspective is what drives an incredibly lame and judgmental stigma. And there is rapidly growing rate of HSV1 Gential because it can be passed easily from oral to genital through oral sex.
CrazyLikeA... (1 year ago)
It's the same shit in a different location. Herpes 1 and 2 are both herpes simplex. If someone who gets cold sores gives you oral sex, you can get genital herpes.
MrStoneycool69 (1 year ago)
Herpes type 1 is the most common in fact 80-90 % of the population has cold sores. I wouldn't get hung up on that. But herpes type 2 is a different matter.
CrazyLikeA... (1 year ago)
I am sorry that that happened to you. You probably got it from relatives to kissing you as a kid when they had an active sore. Actually, mouth herpes can sometimes be spread asymptomatically. This is why I don't believe adults should be kissing kids in the mouth. Mouth kissing is for intimate partners IMHO. I hate when people have their prune lips all over some innocent kid.

Well, sorry for not wanting to fuck someone thats going to give me open sores, flu like symptoms, and dick pimples. It won't kill me, so I'll give you "not very harmful in the long run", but it will degrade my quality of life significantly if it makes me feel like I have the flu. Open sores on my junk seems like it would also be extraordinarily uncomfortable. Its a bigger deal than you're making it out to be, stop trying to weaken people's defenses against it.
Samantha Petersen (10 months ago)
They don’t test for herpes unless you specifically ask. And please before you say “oh I’m good bc I’m not a slut/know who I️ sleep with etc” a lot of people who contract it were in monogamous relationships and they just didn’t know they had it bc there were no symptoms and they do not test for it. Do some research before you try to shame people or act like you’re better than others. It can happen to anyone, hence why about 80-90% of the world has one form or the other.
TankredEndures (3 years ago)
+Emily Phillips  Well, that certainly is good news. One less disease is always a great step towards humanity's next golden age. I'm not that worried about catching it because I'm not a bar-hopping chad desperate for any port in a storm.Thankfully, I had a decent sex education, and everyone I've had a relationship with so far has been tested. I'm actually surprised at how many people go their whole lives without being tested for STDs at all. To think that in just a few generations, herpes will be about as prevalent as smallpox, and I'll get to see the near-death of a disease with my own eyes. What a great time to be alive.
Emily Phillips (3 years ago)
Well considering 80% of the population that has it does not know they have it, good luck with your endeavour of not getting it. Also, 80% of people don't know they have it because they have either never had an outbreak or their outbreak was so mild they didn't even notice it. Sooo the flu like symptoms and "Junk pimples" are actually pretty rare. Also also, they are in the process of making a vaccine for it, so within the next half decade or so I'm thinking you'll either have it or you will never have to worry about catching it.
Just to inform a little of the ignorance in here 1 out of 5 men have herpes and 1 out of 4 women have herpes.... Doctors see this as something common so if not asked for they don't test for it.... Js

I'm not sure if I'd be considered incredibly lucky, or incredibly unlucky...I've never been tested so I have no way to know for sure, but I've never had mouth sores. Hell, I've never even had chicken pox, which worries my family since I'm now 22. Is chicken pox really that much worse for adults who've never had it as kids?
Emily Phillips (3 years ago)
I would go ahead and get the chicken pox vaccine if I were you. It's not a good idea to risk it.
Wikipedia cites the Pediatric Revue claiming that 60% and 95% of all adults have herpes (either HSV-1 or HSV-2) and that's what I heard as well. Your percentage is really low, I think. What is your source if I may ask?

Is every cold sore herpes? I didn't think that was the case. My mom gets cold sores sometimes, but she has never even mentioned that it might be herpes (well, to be honest, I don't think she would even think that a possibility) and I've shared things with her all the time. So am I just lucky, since I don't get cold sores? Or can they be benign?
Larry Horricks (4 months ago)
yes what we have long called cold sores are the HSV virus Herpes. Usually HSV1 but can also be HSV 2. Why would not just do a little research instead asking some a question here. there is a vast resource of information to be found.
Larry Horricks (4 months ago)
that is not correct all HSV virus can be spread even without symptoms...thats why will soon (according to WHO) reach a 1 in 3 ratio for genital herpes in adults. Educate yourself before giving advice.
bandotaku (3 years ago)
+Meagan Co  That is good to know. :)
Meagan Collins (3 years ago)
cold sores are HSV1. You can get it from your mom if you share things with her that came in contact with a cold sore. If she does not have cold sores/flare up that means the virus is dormant atm and you cannot get anything, but best not to share anything jic

Elizabeth Murphy (3 years ago)
Just want to let all you ignorant people know that chicken pox/ Shingles, and Epstein Barr/ Mono are herpes, too.  And that it is estimated that over 80% of sexually active adults over 30 have been exposed to HSV-2, but only 17% have been tested for it.  Many never show, or recognize the symptoms, and it is not included in the standard STD test...  You have to specifically request it.  So as you are judging the people who know they have it, and do not spread it around, why don't you ask for the test and find out if you are one of the ignorant masses giving the rest of the victims of this ancient illness a bad name.
CrazyLikeA... (1 year ago)
Chickenpox and Mono are in the family of herpesviruses but they are not as close to herpes simplex as cold sores are. To put it bluntly, chickenpox is a cousin to genital herpes while cold sores are a twin to genital herpes. Cold sores are herpes simplex just like genital herpes are herpes simplex. Chickenpox is herpes zoster/varicella. When people say herpes, we all know which one they truly mean.

It would be cool if you can talk about some other STIs as well! For example, an ex-partner of mine told me about when they had chlamydia once, and how you actually just take a pill to cure it, which blew my mind. Other research I did on it, after finding out it was super common in young people, says that apparently it rarely has symptoms worse than an average UTI (which is also stigmatised for some reason), and is only bad for (uterus-having) fertility if you leave it untreated for /years/ and it spreads into your uterus/ovaries. I had no idea that most of these diseases are curable/manageable because we're only really told "don't get them!" in sex ed, so it's awesome that you're talking about these issues! :)

About a year and a half ago I was in a short relationship where we didn't have any kind of sex but we did kiss. A few weeks into the relationship I noticed a little sore in the corner of my mouth. I get these little sores maybe 2 or 3 times a year now and I don't know if it's considered herpes or just general cold sores. It's dormant all the time except maybe a total of a week or 2 a year. When it's dormant is it possible to pass it on if I kissed someone?
Larry Horricks (4 months ago)
"Cold Sores" are Herpes...simple as that...unbelievable people dont know this. we need stop calling cold sores and calling them ehat they are...maybe the overall stigma of genital herpes would be helped.
Tyde07 (3 years ago)
Coldsores are caused by the herpes simplex virus. Usually type 1. This is nothing to worry about though. Generally it can only be passed on during a flair up so just be careful whilst there are any sores or tingling/itching. This is what Kristen was talking about when she said a) how common it is and b) how most people don't know they have it. Some advice, if you use a topical cream or patch for when you flair up apply it as soon as you feel tingling or itching. This way it will work faster and you may even not have a full break out. :) I used to get coldsores all the time but it has now been several years since my last episode.
TheOwlsfortheWin (3 years ago)
Cold sores are actually a form of herpes. They suck, but half of Americans have oral herpes. You can transfer oral herpes to a partner in either the oral or genital form, so it is important to be honest with your partner and abstain from contact like kissing or oral sex during a flare up. I am not a doctor, so I cannot diagnose you. However, if you go to your doctor during a flare up, they will confirm or deny it. Then you can ask for an anti-viral that will lower the severity and frequency of your outbreaks. There is always a chance that you can pass herpes without symptoms. Some people are even asymptomatic and pass the herpes virus to others unaware that they are carriers. You may be able to tell when the herpes virus is active before a sore appears because of a tingling sensation at the site of emergence. As awkward as it is, it is best to talk to your partner about how you want to proceed in protecting yourselves. If you are in tuned to your body and times when the virus is active you probably don't have to worry about kissing someone through cling wrap for the rest of your life. However, it is also a reasonable precaution to perform oral sex with barriers like condoms or dental dams if you are worried about passing the virus. Every couple has different comfort levels with the risk and you need to find that together.I want to stress though, being infected is mostly an inconvenience. Like Kristen said, the worst is the stigma, the rest is just annoying. Check out the sexplanations youtube channel for their explanation.

I'd love to see a video like this about HPV. There's tons of stigmas around it (despite being SO common) and around the vaccines.

Bad about herpes : 1) people that have it says it really itches and burns when the virus is active - even a yeast infection that itches is hell 2) blisters on your genitals - I don't wanna see that. I think people shouldn't be shamed for having it - there's nothing that can get rid of the virus from your DNA (currently), but personally, I won't take it lightly either
TheseMusics (3 years ago)
+lollsazz You'd be surprised how common women get yeast infections.

I still don't want to date, kiss or have sex with someone who has herpes. I don't have it, I don't even get cold sores. So I'm not going to risk it if I know a girl has it. Sorry.

agree with you; i have high standards as well, and i don't have herpes of any kind. lol at these disease-infested chicks trying to sell you on how totally cool herpes is & how you should be wanting it (and that you prob already have it but are just in denial). misery loves company

Larry Horricks unfortunately that’s how most of the public thinks. Nearly every guy I’ve told made fun of me, ridiculed me treated me like I’m filth. I only have hsv 1 with zero outbreak. The stigma hurts so much it’s no wonder people don’t disclose. I always disclose and get turned down. Condoms don’t protect you from oral herpes and no one uses dental dams or asks for a herpes test before kissing. It’s so common yet whenever it’s mentioned people RUN.
Larry Horricks (4 months ago)
So if someone you had a beautiful connection with and really wanted to be with told you they had herpes you would pass on that because of a skin condition. I have say that that is very sad...its your choice but its a very shallow and life limiting perspective.
Larry Horricks (4 months ago)
you are incredibly naive and...Im sorry to say rather ignorant. You would need to ask every single person to produce a recent HSV test before you kiss them. And I'm not talking just romantic encounters. 50-80% of adults have HSV1 and well over 70% have one or the other (HSV1 or 2). Most dont even know they have it.
V M (5 months ago)

I used to get cold sores all the time as a kid. Now I know mine are triggered by my monthly hormone changes and stress. I used to be ashamed and hide my face from the world, but no longer! They are just apart of my life and won't hinder me.

I just had my daughter tested for HSV because a family member was concerned that she somehow (through appropriate, non-sexual contact) passed her genital herpes onto my daughter, so maybe I have an exposed nerve ATM but I am quite bothered by the "what's the big deal?" attitude here. Maybe try imagining your first kiss, first date, first sexual partner...now imagine having to disclose genital herpes to that person before anything progresses. The idea of my daughter going through that breaks my heart.

TheseMusics I agree. I contracted herpes in July of last year. Before getting it, I must be honest, I was very ignorant in regards to herpes and had little knowledge about the virus. Speaking from the UK, I don't think there is enough awareness in terms of educating people and how you can contract and transmit the virus. It appears to be a hidden subject that isn't talked about. I felt deeply depressed when I was diagnosed. Christmas was a bit awkward, I avoided kissing loved ones. Explaining to a future girl friend is going to be tricky. The young lady who presented this video gave a good account about the virus and exposing the false social stigma. In the post section, it surprising to see, so many hateful comments directed at her. If ignorance were a disease, an alarming percentage would have it, including a high number of YT users. When you think about it, driving a car is dangerous then herpes, but people still drive on roads and highways. Approximately 115 people die every day in vehicle related crashes in the United States, one death every 13 minute.
TheseMusics (3 years ago)
+EmBotBeepBeep I think people are often misinformed too. When I was little I got cold sores and was told it was only hsv-1 but not to worry about it because it wasn't the "Bad" type of herpes. Turns out you can still get genital herpes from hsv-1, but most people are just so uneducated on these STDs and STIs that they don't think to disclose the information to their partner. I have a friend that gave his gf genital herpes because he had just cold sores in the past. He had no clue it could transfer like that. And from what I've read, it used to NOT work that way, but funny thing with viruses is they are always evolving and mutating into new forms. And the real kicker is that it'll be dormant most of the time so you won't even know. So we just need to catch up with our public knowledge with the virus or it'll just keep silently spreading.
BeepBeep (3 years ago)
I don't think it would be an issue if everyone actually got regularly tested and regularly disclosed. After finding out I have HSV1, I've been consistent in telling all future partners about it, and when I explain it as "I don't have one right now, but all it means it that sometimes I get cold sores," the number of people who are like "oh yeah, me too," and it *never* occurred to them to disclose that to future partners is astounding. Equally astounding is the number of health-conscious, educated people I've met that have *never been tested for STDs*, or have never gotten tests done other than HPV tests during pap smears, because they've never had symptoms.  Unfortunately we're stuck in this place between needing people to be more educated and honest and needing people to chill out about it. If we're going to continue to take the risks that we take - every day people are sharing drinks, kissing, sharing chapstick, etc, without giving it a second thought, or having sex with condoms thinking that's enough - then we need to ease up on the stigmatizing a bit because it makes us hypocrites. The same people that make those of us with HSV1 or 2 feel like dirty, horrible people are the same people who aren't even bothering to find out whether or not they have it themselves. If it's not going to become a huge standard practice to make sure that every person gets tested for STDs whether or not they're sexually active, then maybe we should stop putting scarlet letters on the people who do have them on top of striving for better social sexual health.

I live in Germany and it confuses me that Americans seem to stigmatize having Herpes. It isn't even dangerous and the only thing that it does is "Oh no, once a year I have a few bumps on my skin that hurt." Many people already have genital herpes and almost everyone has mouth herpes. You just have to make clear not to infect anyone without their knowing. Potential partners have to be informed. Some people already have herpes and some people (at least here) just don't care because it is such a laughable thing. (Having herpes isn't awesome but not the end of the world. It's unfortunate and if you have a bad outbreak you can barely walk. But it is way more unfortunate to contract a "real" STI that will harm you)

Cold sores/herpes can lead to Alzheimer's, encephalitis and blindness if that stuff ends up in your eye. One of the best case scenarios is that you just get a gross looking lip for a week or two every year. But, I still don't even want that. If anyone thinks crusting and oozing sores on your tender lip or genital skin is okay, then they are crazy. I hear Europeans don't really take herpes/cold sores seriously. So, be especially careful around them when it comes to sharing drinks and kissing. People with cold sores will act like what they have is no big deal. But, that stuff on their lips is the same stuff that herpes puts on your genitals. It is just "smaller" and "more scaled down" since your lips are smaller than your vagina or penis. Beware of people with cold sores. They just don't care that they can spread herpes to people. They will go around kissing kids in the mouth, touching their yuck mouths and then touching things in public places without washing their hands and in general being unsanitary.

This is completely unconnected to the video, it's just a question. So you know how people can be bi-romantic and hetrosexual, or homoromantic and bisexual? Is it possible to be hetrosexual and homoromatic or the other way around? And if so, what in the world would that person do?
revolrtol (3 years ago)
i'm in the same situation. I'm bi-romantic but still lean toward guys but sexually I'm a little more attracted to girls (so i guess that's bisexuality??). I just recently figured this out and it's bloody confusing.
MelvaCross (3 years ago)
+blackbeltbeatdown Straight people don't. You are right. As long as you define straight as "hetero-romantic and heterosexual". I wouldn't say that a guy who is flirting with guys on a regular basis is straight.
corduroy99 (3 years ago)
Naw, seems somebody like that just hasn't admitted to herself that she GAY!
MelvaCross (3 years ago)
You can have romantic feelings for a certain (or more) gender(s) and you can have sexual attraction to a certain (or more) gender(s). And these can be totally different. There are some ways to handle such situation. On the sexual side, there can be a "friends with benefits" thing without love being involved or the usual flings (some people look for sex, but not a relationship). The difficulty lies within the romantic part because having a relationship with no sex can be very frustrating for the other person. Maybe you can turn to the asexual community. If you can find any help on such problem, you'll find it there.

Hi, I'm in the medical field and I disagree. Herpes is pretty terrible. It increases contraction risk of other STDs including HIV.
Rose Rasaa (1 year ago)
Agreed. If anything, 'most' people who know they have either HSV 1 or HSV 2 try to be informed and are very careful when it comes to their sexual practices. I think it goes without saying that if you're smart and have done your research about the 1 STD that you do have, you will not be dumb enough to try to get another one. Knowing your status, and that of your partner not only keeps them safe, but you also from contracting anything else. BTW, I love how they love to throw HIV out there first. Why not say Chlamydia or Trichomoniasis? Because those have cures and HIV doesn't, and that has to be classed with HSV because it makes it sound even worse or nastier? And I also am in the medical field ;)
sisbrawny (1 year ago)
Plus you need to have unprotected sex with HIV+ partner in the first place to get it.

Great video! Though I personally would have like it if you mentioned how the stigma even hurts children. When I was little I would get huge cold sores all the time on my face and it wasn't just that most kids making fun of me and said I had herpes and said all kinds of horrible rude thing I don't even know how children their age learned and I didn't understand most of it til I was older, the teachers too treated me like I was infected with something horrible. They made me cover it even though that made it much worse and the teachers made me wash my hands constantly. I felt like I was diseased even though I barely knew what an STD was and I certainly had no idea how I had gotten one :( It affected me so much that even now that I know how to kill anything that pops up within a couple days I won't go out in public when I have a sore.
CrazyLikeA... (1 year ago)
I am sorry that your feelings were hurt and the kids were dead wrong for teasing you. However, I don't blame the adults for taking the precautions they did. No one else wants to catch it start getting those things on their face and other parents did not want their kids to catch it from you. Cold sores can lead to Alzheimer's, blindness and encephalitis. The constant hand washing was a good thing. And if you were so little that you didn't understand that you shouldn't touch that stuff and then touch others, then I don't blame them for making you cover it. Just like you don't want it, no one else does either.

What's the chances of getting herpes if someone is giving you oral?
noshititskrae (3 years ago)
Coming into contact with a sore when you do not yourself have an open wound results in about a 4 in 100 chance of contracting the virus. Women have a slightly higher chance of contracting genital herpes than men.
idahval (3 years ago)
If the person who is giving oral has mouth ulcers, it's very likely. Like 100%. If you have mouth ulcers and kiss the person before oral sex, it can transmit from your mouth to your penis.
Ikajo (3 years ago)
I have mouth/oral herpes and I never have had sex (with someone else). Heck I had just entered my teens when I got the sores the first time. So yeah, they can occur anyway.

I anyone is interested - Herpesvirinae is large group of viruses - it divides into alphaherpesviridae, betaherpesviridae, gamaherpesviridae(each one has 2 separate groups, which every consists of many viruses with plenty serotypes)...for example even mononucleosis is herpes-virus

you can infect someone even if you dont have cold sores at that time
Dusty Bones (3 years ago)
Absolutely! That actually happened to me, haha. I have oral herpes just from sharing drinks with my mom when I was little when she forgot she had a cold sore at the time. It's totally harmless, and the only way it affects my life is that I get a cold sore, like...idk, once a year? Once every two years? They're extremely rare for me, and it's not a big deal whatsoever. :) I just have to be careful not to kiss or share drinks with anyone while I have a cold sore.
AtheistB1tch (3 years ago)
Yes, and it happens. I got cold sores (oral herpes) from my grandmother because I shared a straw with her when I was 7 or 8. Take a moment to think about how awkward it is to tell partners that I got herpes from my grammy.
Sara (Blisssphere) (3 years ago)

BeepBeep (3 years ago)
+taylor rogers Um, no - did you not watch the video? Type 1 and Type 2 are still both herpes. They're both technically STDs, even though they can be contracted through non-sexual contact - including kissing, sharing chapstick, etc. The virus doesn't magically transform into something else because you contracted it through a means other than sex. Herpes is herpes. To expand beyond what the video told us, Type 1 is typically oral, Type 2 is typically genital, but either can really be contracted in any mucus membranes - genitals, mouth, or even eyes. The major difference is where the virus lays dormant. Type 2 resides in the base of the spine which is why it typically manifests in the genitals. I have type 1, which is considered the "good" kind of herpes because it typically resides in the head and is manifested on the mouth, but even though it's type 1, mine resides in the spine and, unfortunately, manifests down below. There are differences between the two but at the end of the day, if you have herpes, regardless of how you got it or where it manifests, *then you have herpes*. End of story.
