Wise words, sir. My great uncle was a life long Packers fan, and it wouldn't have killed me if my team (Seahawks) had lost. My uncle is more in my heart than my team, which I do love but not as much. :)
I could not disagree with you more. You can't say Seattle played bad. The defense of Green Bay was just stifling. The game was not "snatched" from Dallas. The referee made an absolutely correct call after the challenge. It was a perfect interpretation of the rule. Dez did not complete the so called "process." And you know it. I will send you links of fan questions and comments to the editor of packers.com, Vic Ketchman, who has been covering football for more than 35 years I believe. He said he had never witnessed a more heart breaking loss. And I know it. I am truly heartbroken over the game. Even if Green Bay did give it away. I guess I don't whole heartedly disagree with you. Momentum is a killer. Especially in Seattle. But don't tell true fans to just get over it. Because this will linger for the rest of my life.
And I know it.
You're welcome. I can't help how I feel about my Packers. I've never watched a game as a neutral fan. And being to Lambeau several times really lets me experience the love of the game every further. If my bone breaks, is it just a bone? If I lose my job, is it just a job? I think people can passionately care and love about whatever they want, as long as it isn't detrimental to their life or health. I truly love the Packers, and I think you know I could love a lot worse. I care about my real issues too. And people in my life. I'm glad I at least know people who share my same feelings about the game. And it hasn't been lingering for awhile. Especially since New England won, and in the fashion in which they did. No matter what, it'll hurt for the rest of my life. I can't help that.
+waterbottle1001001 Thanks for writing. But dude it really is "just a game" so please don't let it linger in your life. There are too many REAL issues out there to be concerned with. Football is nothing more than entertainment. It's fun to watch but really "let it go"...
