Just finished watching campaign 1 for the second time so I'm back here for the second viewing of campaign 2 (whilst still keeping up to date).
Cannot get enough of these amazing people and their dynamic.
Me for the past year: Why is everyone drawing fan art of this tiefling? I see her everywhere, is she from the new critical role campaign... what's so special about her?!!
Me today, 31:05 in: Oh... I get it now...
Man, it’s great to hear the first time they are doing character voices because Notts voice changed, Liam is struggling to get away from the Vax voice, Travis trying to steer away from grog and well...Talisin who knows what his accent was for Molly
"I'd hate it if I smelled that bad and someone didn't tell me"
Molly: *grabs perfume bottle* You should put on some of this Caleb...*looks at camera* smelling like an adventure isn't easy, but you can certainly try...with CR.
I'm rewatching this since it's been almost a year, and it's amazing to see just how far they've all come. And even how their voices changed over the course of the episodes as they grew into them and became more comfortable in their new characters. These players are all so good, and they each bring so much to the table. Not to mention how easy Matt makes it to feel like you're in the world, which definitely makes it easier to do. So proud of them all.
Just finished campaign 1, starting campaign 2. For me the most interesting thing is going to be watching how they play new characters. It was hard to tell how much of the previous season was role-playing vs player personality.
New watcher here, so probably a stupid question, but anyone know what song was playing from 1:45:21 to 1:49:06, during the first fanart spotlight? It's really pretty.
Edit: managed to look it up, it's "Twin Elms" from the Pillars of Eternity soundtrack!
I'm glad they made some of them sit separately. Tallison and Marisha then Liam and Laura. All of their touchy feely stuff last campaign was really weirding me out. When I first started watching, I thought the relationship dynamics were totally different than reality
This is honestly a fantasy Guardians of the Galaxy. Actually, they have a lot of MCU humor. Beau: "Did you get a nice watch or a tankard?" Fjord: "They didn't have watches." Beau: "Shit. Did you get a tankard?"
There they talk in the tavern and that which sounds louder to me than their (thoroughly enjoyable) conversation is "Around the Fire" from Skyrim.
I love that piece. As a DM, it's my go-to track for tavern ambience. Critical Role's choice of music is simply great.
I hate to be a stickler, but like it's impossible to play a stringed instrument upside down. you would need to put devote so much fidelity of your hand to keep the bow in contact with the string, that you wouldn't have much less to make it sound great musically.
yeah it's a fun fantasy story Mat Merc made for us to enjoy, and I'm loving it, but my inner violinist couldn't help but comment
Straight up if you guys came to Hawaiis Comic Con in Kona, my D&D group might Fan Girl....just saying, Im Male 6'4" built like a wall and I WILL fangirl, lol. And we would show you guys around the Island introduce you all to some Hawaiian Cuisine.
